First, why those idiots in the military are still afraid of calling a spade a spade. If someone kill in the name of his religion you can either state the obvious "that this is a religiously motivated killing" or claim that this person was nuts. Any killer can claim the insanity defense, but the insanity of the Islamist is a widely spread disease inflicting millions of people world wide, and if we can't identify the disease, we can't cure it.

Second, Musafir, the 72 virgins is a Hadith by Muhammad and it is used by many Muslim terrorists to recruit gullible Muslims to carry out their deadly carnage. So even if you claim that this is a myth, it is not a myth in the minds of millions of Muslim-terrorists wanna-be.

Why do you believe that your country can do no evil? Your rulers accomplished more than the communist dictatorships did. Communist demanded open loyalty and support of their policy, and would kill or imprison anyone who disagreed, and people openly supported their government, but majority of them knew that it is all a bunch of crap. Your government does not demand support of their policy, does not kill you (not openly at least) for disagreeing, and you support it no matter what, without questioning or checking other sources of information. Wow Musafir. Now replace the word government in your writings above with the world Islam and you just described 75% of muslims world wide. The other 25% are to scared to stand up for peoples rights, whether it be Muslims, Jews, Christians, Americans, Afghani's, Iraqis, etc... It sounds like it doesnt matter to you that we are trying, note I said trying, to install a better life for Afghani men, women, and children than they had before. This is like trying to squeeze blood from a rock or like trying to push a one ton boulder up Mt Everest. You forget that in all the world, the followers of Islam seem to be always at odds with everyone else. The Muslim Turks slaughtered the Christian Armenians. The Muslims in northern Nigeria kill Christians. The Muslims of Pakistan terrorize the Hindus of India. Coptic Christians of Egypt, the original Egyptians, are persecuted. In Palestine, Muslims launch rockets into Israel. In Spain, France, England, Denmark, and Holland it is the Muslim immigrants who murder and kill in the name of their religion of "peace". It was "Muslims" who flew stolen planes into American buildings killing thousands of innocent civilians. Islam, like all extreme religions is a plague. Religion is like a computer virus, only one that infects the human mind.

Just like there are horrible crimes committed by Christian fanatics in many countries. BUT MY MAIN QUESTION IS: I pointed out problems I see in modern American society. A problem of population turning into obedient sheep who don't question anything they are fed by their rulers. In response you say that Muslims commit crimes. HOW IS MUSLIM FANATICS COMMITTING CRIMES AN EXCUSE FOR AMERICAN PEOPLE TURNING INTO OBEDIENT SHEEP WHO NEVER QUESTION THE AUTHORITIES?

Musafir, don't worry about the OBEDIENT SHEEP in America, instead try to address the madness going on in Somalia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Iraq, Yemen. Try to challenge the Islamic theocracies in Saudi Arabia and Iran, and the Salafis who will impose it in Egypt, thus turning the cradle of civilization to another Somalia.

I guess if America follows your advice it will be just as civilized as all these shining example of Islamic civilization.

@Dale, yours is quite a one sided view. I suggest you first need to read what Musafir said in his first post and then respond appropriately.

What you see about terrorism and muslim involvement in terrorism is a right observation. But you need to put it in the right context. Musafir's first post does provide such context.

Christianity and Islam have always been engaged in power struggle. But christianity survived and triumphed because it allowed diversity of opinions and enjoyed renaissance. Islam unfortunately became more moribund over time. Today the Islamic societies are shut close to new thoughts, ruled by puppets from the west and their resources are looted in broad daylight. Then there are people who think the solution is to turn to religion. That's where Islam becomes much more volatile and we call that Islamic terrorism. And while Islam is already in danger, I sometimes wonder what America is becoming? I see secular America weathering away. The ethos of American society - freedom - justice - hard work - enterpreneurship - can do attitude - innovation ----- is really secular. By creating enemies where there is no need, American society is moving in a dangerous direction.

So while Middle East indeed is fast degerating, I would also worry about home right here. What this country has become and where it is headed.

Musafir, I am afraid that you have brought that Islamic mind set with you when you came to America. The mind set of "submit". Americans tend not to submit, but stand up against injustice. We have a good sense of what is right and what is wrong.

We can not do too much about what the Moslems do in their countries, but if their government supports people that attack the US, we will invade and try to help the people develop a government that will work for peace. I mean, the West even helped in the North African liberation. Where were the moslem governments? Oh, yeah, they are dictatorships.

Most Americans can see that if a stable government that represents the people doesn't come to power, then the Afghans are doomed to go back to living like slaves under the Taliban and the Afghan people do not deserve to be treated so poorly. In this case, it is our business.

Same applies to Christianity (remember the crusades, the inquisition, the witch burnings, the sexual abuse--oh, the list is endless!). But most Americans know nothing of history.

B Murphy, we are fighting to STOP BS like you are saying. WE AMERICANS believe in personal responsibility, NOT collective punishment.

The only thing to be learned from this is that weapons should be turned in to a guard before meetings or there needs to be armed guards in the meetings. I mean really folks, this is an active war zone, not some war game. But then again, we don't want to be "Culturally Insensitive" by making sure that the General cleared (unloaded) his weapon when he went on base and before he went into a building.

I mean, really...stop kissing these people's asses and make them unload their weapons when on base and submit to bomb checks like EVERYONE else.

I never said it was a fair solution, simply, looking at it logically. How are you supposed to combat people who feel that if they do such a thing they'll go to the afterlife and have a Utopian eternity? Really, the only way is to make them understand before they do such things, that they're families will be held responsible, and likely suffer after they're gone. If they have anything remotely close to what we call human conscience...it'll make them think twice before killing innocent people.

If they are able to get to us, then it is normally a suicide mission. We normally give medals to people that give their lives fighting for "our side", so I also give them respect...and support our people blowing them away and pissing on their corpses.

Discrimination can be done something about in this country, it's not like the old days... lucky for both you and me we can see this through. An example of a society that brakes down without the rule of law, chaos and it's education system in disarray is Mexico itself with it's narco mentality as true hero's of the people in that country!! ....I wouldn't want to live there !!

The average Afghani people we are trying to help over there, do not want to protect that little girl going to school, they do not want to prevent the Fanatics from stoning a widow or a 14 year old rape victim to death. They want someone else to do it for them, and to pay their way. The Afghan Government clearly doesn't want the US there either, so it is past time our people leave. It is also past time the US Government stops the financial hemorrhage to support Karazai's regime and family too. All good things come to an end eventually, and the end of so many of our people being killed by those folks is long past due.
