So we did everything humanly possible to help the rebels, and a legitimate request to hand over a killer was denied.

Russia, is finally showing their true self which happened as well under Bush. Obama should apologize to Bush privately and publicly for casting blame on Bush for poor relations with Russia. Putin lives to stick the US in the eye no matter who is in the WH.

General Wesley Clark: "America will take out 7 countries in 5 years"

According to Former NATO supreme allied commander, former presidential candidate and 4 star US General Wesley Clark that they had received a memo that America is going to take out 7 countries in the Middle East in 5 years starting with Iraq, Libya, Syria Lebanon Sudan and Somalia, seeing what's going on today in Libya but also in Syria where violent protest just erupted, it is amazing how these things that were planned years ago are being achieved in front of our eyes.

Why is it other countries feel like they have to defend their territory? Could it be that they know we have no problem invading their sovereignty just as we have done to countless other countries. Since World War II, 90% of the casualties of war are unarmed civilians. 1/3 of them children. Our victims have done nothing to us. From Palestine to Afghanistan to Iraq to Somalia to wherever our next target may be, their murders are not collateral damage, they are the nature of modern warfare. They don't hate us because of our freedoms. They hate us because every day we are funding and committing crimes against humanity. The so-called "war on terror" is a cover for our military aggression to gain control of the resources of western Asia.

This is sending the poor of this country to kill the poor of those Muslim countries. This is trading blood for oil. This is genocide, and to most of the world, we are the terrorists. In these times, remaining silent on our responsibility to the world and its future is criminal. And in light of our complicity in the supreme crimes against humanity in Iraq and Afghanistan, and ongoing violations of the U.N. Charter in International Law, how dare any American criticize the actions of legitimate resistance to illegal occupation.

We are going into Syria for a couple of reasons, one, we are trying to dislodge Russia from there because they have a foothold in the Middle East via two military bases in Latakia and Tartus in Syria. Two, Syria is a strong ally of Iran. If we invade Syria we take out a strong ally and maybe incite Iran to assist giving the U.S. the reason they are looking for to attack Iran. The ultimate goal is to surround, weaken and to invade Iran. The petro dollar is at stake as other countries are switching to other forms of currency in buying Iran’s oil.

Since the Russian war in 1828, Iran has never attacked another country. We on the other hand have attacked to name a few:
Libya, Iran, Nicaragua, Haiti, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Angola, Mozambique, Honduras, Chile, Congo, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Somalia, Angola, Columbia, Peru, Panama, Yemen, Pakistan, Grenada, Mexico, etc..

Wake up people we are being herded down the Military Industrial Complex gauntlet again to another false war to enrich the greedy Corporations and distract the American people. Did we not learn anything from the Iraq war where we have killed well over 1 million Iraqi people, lost thousands of American lives and God knows how many hundreds of billions of dollars?

I wish you people would make up your mind. Libya was a mistake, even though NATO supported them. Syria is a mistake because NATO is not supporting them. Newsflash: The Arab League has military capability. Where are they? They've condemned this. It's happening in their backyard, to one of their nations. Let them send their kids in to get killed for a change.

What's more, I haven't seen Congress approve a war in Syria yet. We saw the fuss that the Right made the last time over that. The President is not stupid. If Congress says go, maybe we get action. If not, "it's illegal for us to fight a war for longer than 60 days without Congressional approval," which they would never give the President.

Yes, Bush was a visionary, but his vision was not very good. He got us into two wars that have cost us trillions of dollars and thousands of dead Americans, one of which we had no business getting into to begin with (Iraq) and that we just recently managed to get out of, and the other of which we are still now trying to get ourselves out of (Afghanistan). Who needs vision like that?

Bush was not noted for his foresight, since his presidency he has been mostly quiet about his hindsight. Wisely, he is waiting for the games he started to play out to their inevitable conclusion; Not a Democratic Muslim society but a United Islamic Brotherhood coalition.

As Obama has said, Syria is not Libya. Russia has much stronger ties with Syria and NATO military intervention in Syria would lead to a confrontation the likes of which have not been seen since the Cold War.

The Syrians had no qualms when it came to supporting terrorist that attacked and killed Americans and now they want American to supply them arms. The Syrian Rebels should have expected mass causalities when they tried to attack a much stronger and better armed force. Now the Rebels either have to give up their Civil War or face annihilation. I think Libya was a mistake and if we do anything with Syria it will be a mistake. When Americans first wanted democracy, how did WE know what it was? Who had enjoyed it? And if you read my post again, I didn't say that Syrians wanted democracy. I said that Russia and China don't want THEIR citizens getting outside help in attaining it, hence their stand on Syria getting it. It would set an additional precedence for the same.

We can't afford to get involved with Syria. The US has its own starving people in need of food and medical care. We have bridges and roads and schools that need rebuilding. What are we doing dumping boat loads of money on the rich brats in charge in the middle east?

We need to establish a world war zone. This war zone would be in a remote location and only combatants would be allowed on the field. Spectators could view from bleachers or cliffs. As a citizen of a country with a government i would love to see replaced at this point i sympathize with them. Morally helping those innocent women and children who are feeling the wrath of artillery and mortar shells is the right thing to do.
