During the 90s the United Nations inspection teams found and destroyed large amounts of Iraqi Chemical weapons. Afterward it was reported that no stockpiles could be found. That's far from evident. There are a lot of hospitals and other organizations run by religious groups that do much to save lives and reduce deaths. Think about Red Cross and Catholic Charities, and go from there.

I haven't read one word that indicates this guy was definately Iranian or an Islamist. Being suspected of being an Iranian means nothing.
