I may be missing something but where in my comment did I say anything racist or spew hate? I was stating that their preference of White girls was them in fact being racist. As the judge said treating the girls as 'worthless and beyond respect' was to quote him "One of the factors leading to that was the fact that they were not part of your community or religion,". Going by this statement it would appear to be racially motivated as the girls chosen were not of their background or religion. Four Years sounds kind of short for something serious as rape. At a minimum it should be 10 years to life.

Teachers rape their students? Is that how it goes? Because mostly you hear of students having consensual sex with the adults, illegal. There comes a time to be politically correct and this isn't one of them. We should call it like it is and stop trying to insist that this is common in all societies. It isn't common for groups of up to 50 men to have sex with a series of underage kids. Not common in all societies. These guys are in for a serious beat down when they get in. Lots of fathers don't like this, no matter why they are behind bars, doing this to children is deeply upsetting.

Rape is NOT about sex. IT IS ABOUT RAGE AND CONTROL AND VIOLENCE. The reason women and children are usually the ones raped is because they are the easiest ones to be controlled and physically overcome. Every single rapist out there (unless you find a very self-enlightened sociopath) has a reason for why they rape. I'm sure these men used their upbringing and religious background to justify that there is nothing wrong with taking women with force who are not of their tribe, background and/or religion. Until people realize that rape has nothing to do with sex but EVERYTHING to do with power, we will be powerless to stop rape.

Oh really? You think rapists in the US get long sentences? IF they are even brought to trial and IF they are even convicted they often get less time than others do for non-violent offenses. I hate to burst your bubble, but some men in every culture rape women, so this isn't just because of their culture.

Ram's right. Only the most violent of offenders get long sentences. The vast majority are either not prosecuted because of lack of evidence or the circumstances of the rape/sexual assault are somewhat ambiguous. Most often, the best a prosecutor can do is to get the perp to plea bargain down the charge allowing them to at least get something.
