Report: Car bomb kills 9, wounds 100 in Syria

A handout picture released by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) shows Syrian firefighters dousing a burning truck at the site of a blast in the eastern city of Deir Zor Saturday.

A car bomb in the Syrian city of Deir al-Zor killed nine people and wounded about 100 Saturday, the official SANA news agency said.

It said the bombing was carried out by a suicide bomber and that the dead included guards at a military installation which is near a housing complex, according to Reuters.

Syrian state television showed damaged, burning buildings and vehicles after the blast and black smoke could be seen rising above the city, BBC News reported.

The BBC said the explosion was the latest in a series of blasts that were thought to be al-Qaida operations.

On Thursday, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said he believed al-Qaida was responsible for two suicide car bombs that killed at least 55 people in Syria a week ago.

Inside Syria rebel stronghold: 'The city is on mute'

He also said that the death toll in the country's 14-month conflict was now at least 10,000.

A message to Assad? War games held near border

"A few days ago there was a huge, serious, massive terrorist attack. I believe that there must be al-Qaida behind it. This has created again very serious problems," Ban told a youth event at U.N. headquarters in New York, Reuters reported.

Reuters contributed to this report.

This happened much much earlier- 6;24 a.m. edt- it was a carbomb laden with 500 kg explosives right at the g'ment's (army's) headquarters in Deir ez Zor in the eastern zone. 9 killed outright and over hundred injured. Syria's opposition tells it is the g'ment -but the UN Observers at the scene will report later. http://yle.fi/uutiset/useita_kuollut_autopommi-iskussa_syyriassa/610908 The UN Observers have direct line to nations' observer countries' media.

This just supports what I have been saying for some time. These "rebels" that the Obama administration is so quick to support are nothing more than Islamic fanatics who want power for themselves. The last thing on their mind is turning Syria into a free democratic state. They want to get rid of Assad, who is for the most part a secular ruler, so that they can replace his government with an Islamic republic. Most of the trouble in Syria is being instigated by outside agitators who are carrying out many of the attacks themselves and trying to stir up the locals against Assad with their propaganda. Instead of supporting these "rebels" the administration should be helping Assad to keep these outside agitators out of the country. As bad as Assad is, he is still a better option than letting any of the "rebel" factions get control. These so called rebels are nothing more than different Islamic sects who want power for themselves. Assad is a fairly secular ruler and allow people in Syria to pretty much worship as they choose. The same will not be true if any of these other "rebel" sects get control. The reality is that much of the unrest in Syria is being caused by outside agitators who are stirring up the Syrian people in order to achieve their own ends. Those ends are the rise to power of their particular sect and the implementation of an Islamic Republic form of government under their view of Islam. The best bet for Syria is not to see a complete fall of the Assad regime but for there to be an orderly transfer of power to someone else who shares Assad's secular leanings and will institute social reforms to improve people's lives. Having an open election where the Islamists can manipulate the people and the elections in order to gain control the way they are doing in Egypt would not be a good thing.

Once upon a time they were "activists" because they spoke out against a government we don't like.

Then they became "rebels" because they took up arms against a government we don't like.

Then they become "freedom fighters" because we supply them with the arms they use against a government we don't like.

Then they become "victors" because they overthrow a government we don't like.

Then they become "a government of the people" that soon becomes a government we don't like.

And the beat goes on, and on, and on .....

flnobody - Did you mean mccain or was that bush?

FYI, THE YEAR IS 2012. PRESIDENT OBAMA IS PRESIDENT OF THE US, NOT MCCAIN OR FORMER PRESIDENT BUSH. YOU WANT TO GIVE PRESIDENT OBAMA CREDIT FOR SUCCESFUL THINGS THAT WERE DONE BY THE US MILITARY AND US INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES DISPITE HIS POLITICAL OBJECTIONS. THEN MAN UP AND TAKE THE BLAME ALSO.

Every since President Obama's March 2009 Policy the "Middle East", Africa, Asia, South and Central Americas, etc. have become Fundamentalist Islamic with the continued Defeats of US Allies (Overthrows of their Established Governments).

When President Bush was US President, he deferred all US Military to the US Military Experts. This is why he pushed for the US Senate to pass into US Law the 2002 Iraqi War Resolution, so that we could pursue the Fundamentalist Islamic Al Quada, Fundamentalist Islamic Jihadists that we chased into Northern Iraq from Afghanistan weeks after the 9/11 2001 Attacks. In 2002 we were finally allowed to attack the Fundamentalist Islamic Al Quada, Fundamentalist Islamic Jihadists that we chased into Northern Iraq by the Old Silk Road from Afghanistan weeks after the 9/11 2001 Attacks by that time they had gotten stronger and reformed into Ansar Al Islam.

These "rebels" that the Obama administration is so quick to support

Do you even read the comments? Or do you just go off and run your mouth about something you know nothing about? JS made a comment about someone "he" says supports the rebels. I pointed out that obama is not the only one that does. Also I know what year it is. Did you look at the date on mccain's comments of support? It was, what for it, 2012! I suggest that you try to be a man! And learn to read things before you comment.

When President Bush was US President, he deferred all US Military to the US Military Experts

Yea, that's why he refused to allow the military, when they requested too, to go after bin laden when he was in the tora bora mountains. Right?

flnobody,

ONCE AGAIN UNEDUCATED NO FIRSTHAND EXPERIENCE flnobody:

Candidate McCain lost the 2008-2009 Election, Candidate Obama won the 2008-2009 Presidential Elections.

No influence McCain can shoot his mouth off all he wants.

President Obama and SOS Clinton's ACTIONS Supporting the Fundamentalist Islamic Jihadists to Overthrow Former US Ally President Gaddaffi at Libya.

And now these ACTIONS (Not words like your flnobody uninformed uneducated posts as excuses for President Obama's and SOS Clinton's ACTIONS).

flnobody - Or do you just go off and run your mouth about something you know nothing about?

How about this, next time you go live with the Kurdistanis near the Border of Syria, Southern Turkey, Northern Iraq, Northwestern Iran, during 2002-2003 Operation Hotel California.

And tell me I don't know about Syria. When was the last time YOU were there.

I proved just how full of baloney you flnobody are about just about all your Newsvine Posts.

flnobody - Yea, that's why he refused to allow the military, when they requested too, to go after bin laden when he was in the tora bora mountains. Right?

Once again your being Uneducated is showing as well as my having to PROVE you wrong again because you refuse to even do the research.

I was at Afghanistan weeks after the 9/11 2001 Attacks until 2002. US Military Asymmetric Warfare Teams attached to the CIA's SAD/SOG:

Once Group along with the Northern Alliance did this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arxKhJIjIiY

Our Group of Teams with previous experience (language, culture, terrain) from Operation Cyclone went into the Afghan Cities to fight the Fundamentalist Islamic Taliban Government's Militias (Army).

The Termination of Osama Bin Laden was NOT ALLOWED DUE TO THE US NO ASSASSINATION POLICY (including International Laws, International Treaties, etc.). The Locating, Capture or Termination of Osama Bin Laden was NOT the Original Mission (due to the US No Assassination Policy). The US Congress viemently opposed the Termination of Osama Bin Laden as then this would allow any Nation to terminate US Politicians.

Regardless of the Oppositions of US Congress, President Bush by Executive Order to circumvent the US Congress, Amended the US No Assassination Policy in 2006 to Allow the Termination of Osama Bin Laden.

President Obama and SOS Clinton's ACTIONS Supporting the Fundamentalist Islamic Jihadists to Overthrow Former US Ally President Gaddaffi at Libya.

“With no evidence emerging that Col. Gadhafi is about to fall, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, the top Republican on the Armed Services Committee, and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky urged the U.S. to consider various moves that would mark a sharp escalation in American involvement.

but when obama did something. the gop raised hell about it.

McCain said from Kabul that he hopes to arm the Syrian rebels

http://rt.com/usa/news/mccain-syria-american-arms-777/

when obama had other countries help the syrians out. which didn't cost the us a penny. he is all wrong.

david, you are just a typical gop right when nut. Did I blame mccain or bush for doing something in my 1st post? NO. did I say obama was right or wrong? NO. You just try to lie to deflect away from the gop.

Assad is surely not a friend of the U.S. Syria under Assad, had played much in the turmoil in the Middle East, especially its collaboration with Iran's ruling Mullahs and the Palestinians. Syria had been the hiding place of notable terrorists and had been a safe ground for exporting terrorism to Israel, Lebanon, and the United States. Therefore, deposing Assad is good for America and the rest of the Middle East. Any group, such as, the Al Qaeda that helps in deposing Assad and in expelling its Chinese and Russian foreign backers is doing favor for the United States. We don't need to lose American blood in Syria if Al Qaeda will do the job for us of getting rid of its current dictator so that Syria could become free. Let the Chinese and Russian backers of Assad know what it is like feeling the heat of Al Qaeda Improvised Explosive Devices.

Jonathan-1982062- As Saudi Arabia have certified that al-Qaida, Muslim Brotherhood and some more are "peaceful militants" give them Nobel Peace Prize! Saudi Arabia can give some more funds to Nobel committee!!!!

ENOUGH Jonathan-1982062. YOUR TAQIYA (Lies to Advance Fundamentalist Islam) and Fundamentalist Islamic SHIA (SHIITES) are showing.

Most people that have bothered to research the difference are starting to finally learn the Truth:

Shia (Shiites)= Fundamentalist Islam, Shia Laws aka Fundamentalist Islamic Sharia Laws. Shia Fundamentalist Islamic Interpretation of Holy Koran (Quran) Only. Shia Laws Fundamentalist Islamic Inpretation of Holy Koran (Quran) as Laws, and Hadith (Ancient Fundamentalist Islamic Customs) as Fundamentalist Islamic Laws. Fundamentalist Islamic Nations as Ruled by Shia Fundamentalist Islam. Fundamentalist Islamic Use of Armed Force, Starvation, destruction of anything Modern Western Non Islamic is the normal and not the exception. The Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Goal of being completely subjugated (as well as everyone completely subjugated) to Islam as "Muslims". Example: The Fundamentalist Islamic Republic of Iran.

Ramadan as the Celebration of the Defeats of the Christians, Jews and Unbelievers. Used by the Fundamentalist Islamic Imams at the Mosques Worldwide as a means to incite the Fundamentalist Islamic Believers to violence. Complete belief in the Holy Koran (Quran) Calls to War Against the Christians, Jews, Unbelievers.

Sunnis= "Moderate", "Modern", "Liberal" Interpretation of Holy Koran (this is considered as Heresy by the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia, reason for the Centuries Old Wars between Fundamentalist Islamic Shia and the Moderate Sunnis). Sunnis Rule of Law is the Fiqh (Reason, Logic) allowing 21st Century, Modern, Western, Liberal, Human Rights, etc. that are NOT allowed by Shia Fundamentalist Islamic Believers. Because of the Sunnis belief in the Modern Rule of Law and adoption of the Western belief that "We did no harm to anyone, so no one should want to do harm to us", they are easily massacred by the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia or at the very least their "weak" Modern Westernized Sunnis Governments are overthrown by the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Islamic Jihadists use of Asymmetric Warfare (Insurgency) as to why the Sunnis are the minority (the others killed off by the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia use of armed force). example: As one of the few remaining US Allies: US Ally Government of Saudi Arabia (Jonathan-1982062 attempting to undermine one of the few US Allies left with the weak of mind and too lazy to do research easily brainwashed).

Ramadan as just another Holiday. Increased vigilance of the Fundamentalist Islamic Believers violent activities.

Al Quada, a Shia Fundamentalist Islamic Jihadist Organization of Al Quada formed by Osama Bin Laden while living with his Rich Relatives at Saudi Arabia as an Anti US, Anti US Ally, Anti US Ally Saudi Arabian Sunnis Government Fundamentalist Islamic (Shia) Jihadist Organization. This is why Osama Bin Laden and the Shia Fundamentalist Islamic Taliban Government of Afghanistan as fully supported by the Shia Fundamentalist Islamic Republic of Iran got along so well.

Muslim Brotherhood, a Shia Fundamentalist Islamic Organization started by Amin Al Husseini. Throughout the "Islamic World" Amin Al Husseini is credited with everything Fundamentalist Islam, while his Failures are ignored. It was Amin Al Husseini that originally signed the Forever Alliance of the Islamic World with Chancellor Adolf Hitler in 1933. It was Amin Al Husseini that had the idea to create and did create those Elite SS Muslim Brigades, that were used at Germany to apprehend the Jews, and German Citizens as Political Prisoners (German Military refused to apprehend their own relatives). Later Amin Al Husseini created the Fundamentalist Islamic Pan Arabic Plan, after WWII, before the Jews started to arrive at the former British Colonies at the "Middle East", by armed force apprehend and deport all the Christians, Jews, etc. out of the area and then fill these areas with the undesirables from Egypt and Jordan to prevent or stop the Jews from moving back into the Middle East, this is what happened with Palestine, after this failed Amin Al Husseini co founded the Fundamentalist Islamic Arab League of Nations to repeatedly attack the Jews that were reoccupying Israel, Palestine, etc. that were previously taken away from the Jews by Armed Force by Fundamentalist Islam, as previously the Arabs did not believe in the concept of owning Land as Arabic Nomads (until after the 1920s) until after the Israelis (including Sunnis Arabs) started to develop "Israel" as a modern Nation with irrigation, technology, etc.; instead of the Fundamentalist Islamic Nations spending all their Nation's Wealth on USSR Weapons to continuely attack the Jews. To insure that the terms of the Forever Alliance of the Fundamentalist Islamic with Chancellor Adolf Hitler continues Amin Al Husseini starts the Mandatory School Ciricuulum at Islamic Nations of Chancellor Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf taught as a Success Story (sabotaged by the Jews) and the Blame the Jews for everything Conspiracy Theory "Protocols of the Wise Elders of Zion" (also used by USSR Dictator Stalin), this is how Jonathan-1982062 and the majority Fundamentalist Islamic Believers (Islamic Believers completely subjugated to Fundamentalist Islam, Muslims) became brainwashed and programmed since childhood.

Try again , The Saudi and the US founded the Mujaheddin in Afghanistan , We armed them , The Saudis paid for it , And after the war against the Russians, We left alone to take care of their own problems, and off course BIN LADIN , was one of them , that we trained and armed , So after the war , the Mujaheddin turned into Alqaeda and the Taliban's, And they were mad at us , for not helping them after the war , So they turned on us , But the Saudis paid them money to keep their loyalty, and that's where the whole mess started , The Saudis still finance them , even though they are our best allies , But somehow we put up with , I still do not understand it , But money can buy lots of people and loyalty .

Syria invaded Lebanon in the early 80's with the blessing of the U.N. The "Syrian peacekeeping forces" injected their own poligious/religical ideals, and oh well, it's still a mess today. Put a fence around the entire Middle East (including Israel) until they learn how to play nicely. And while I'm at it, Islam is in such a state of disarray for one of two reasons; Mohammad failed to hand pick a successor before he died, or it's just going through the same stage that Christianity went through, when it was only 1200 years old. Or something like that.

As minors by law children do not have autonomy
or the right to make decisions on their own for themselves in any known
jurisdiction of the world. Instead their adult masters, including parents,
social workers, teachers, youth workers and others, are vested with that
authority, depending on the circumstances. Some believe that this state of
affairs gives children insufficient control over their own lives and causes
them to be vulnerable. Louis Althusser has gone so far as describe this legal
machinery, as it applies to children, as "repressive state
apparatuses". Researchers have identified children as needing to be
recognized as participants in society whose rights and responsibilities need to
be recognized at all ages.[ Structures such as government policy have been held
by some commentators to mask the ways adults abuse and exploit children. On
this view, children are to be regarded as a minority group towards whom society
needs to reconsider the way it behaves.

                      Benjamin
                      Franklin

was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.
Although his schooling ended when he was ten, Franklin was a leading polymath,
author, printer, political theorist, politician, postmaster, scientist, musician, inventor, satirist,
civic activist, statesman, and diplomat. As a scientist, he was a major
figure in the American Enlightenment and the history
of physics for his discoveries and theories regarding electricity.
He invented the lightning rod, bifocals,
the Franklin stove, a carriage odometer,
and the glass 'harmonica'. He formed both the first
public lending library in America and the first fire
                      department in Pennsylvania.

                      EDUCATION

                      In
2010, American students rank 17th in education.

                      More than
$500 billion is spent each year on primary and secondary education. Transporting students to and from school is
a major concern for most school districts. School buses provide the largest
mass transit program in the country; 8.8 billion trips per year. Non-school
transit buses give 5.2 billion trips annually. School start times are computed
with busing in mind. There are often three start times; for elementary, for
middle/junior high, and for high school
                      .

                      Professor
Ted Melhuish in his research of December 7, 2006 presents the case for

Capital investment. The study concludes that
every dollar invested in Child Protective Services produces a return of $7.16

The budget for Texas Department of Family Protection Services (DFPS) is 1.5

                      On Nov.17,
2007, Senator (GA.) Nancy Schaefer stated in her report " I believe Child
Protective Services nationwide has become corrupt and that the entire system is
broken almost beyond repair. I am convinced parents and families should be
warned of the dangers. The Department of Child Protective Services, known as
the Department of Family and Children Service (DFCS) in Georgia and other
titles in other states, has become a “protected empire” built on taking
children and separating families for profit, built on tax dollars.

However, the US Supreme Court struck down the law two years later in Hammer v. Dagenhart (1918), declaring that the law violated

                          Syria where art thou:

The photo evidence of these vehicle bombs in Syria seems to suggest high explosives of military origin, rather than homemade bombs. Syria has been a tightly controlled country that has had a history of suppression, and had repeatedly used state terrorism to kill its own people. At present whole town are kept pinned down by state forces, those pinned down as not likely to be affective as producing vehicle bombs. Suddenly there are military strength explosives, casually arriving at state buildings undeterred and detonating, in a place where you cannot so much as breathe without suspicion.

Just as suddenly, al-Qaida, is thought of as being defeated, and yet has a shocking large presence, in Syria. This all smacks of the obvious elements that can be picked and chosen at will, to make dramatic footage to smuggle out as news. Who might seek what in having powerful vehicles explode in a country where the opposition is so desperately out matched?

Iran - Wanting a failure of US policy, not much.

Iraq - The mother lode of military resources, used by any number of fractions, Baathist, with Iran long active influence.

Russia - Longest term player in Syria, to counter Israel, US policies and Middle East Oil resources, and geo political justifications.

Syria - Against its own citizens, knowing this has happened on major scale in the past.

Israel - The obvious player, that carefully manages not be obvious, Lebanon, Syria are the "disinteresting" players.

China - Energy for China and its long term policies aimed at breaking the bank/military strength the United States.

India - Energy for India its defense against China.

US - Mercenary military and political operatives whose objective is to disrupt civilian government and pursue ideological agendas.

Outside of Afghanistan's importance as "military high ground" against Iran-Pakistan there are others. Syria is the "military high ground" counter-weight to the "marriage" of US-Israel policies which are of vital important in maintaining military dominance targeting at Middle East Oil supplies. These military policies are in turn aimed at preventing Developing Energy Independent in the US, by means of controlling global finance investments.

Let's reverse the thought within the limits of grammar to express what is likely. The huge flow of capital from the energy dependent US into the global financial investment funds or Oil funds? Those global financial investment funds or Oil funds become diversified (so to speak) as equity holdings in all the vital and important corporations, to appoint board members, acknowledge major shareholders and influence invest policy for the long list of global players. Many in the world believe that vast wealth and power can be expressed in dollars, and therefore dollars will predominately govern the future without any of the long list of known human failings.

If we assume a mixture of energy, military, financial and religious motives in an artificial game, then we could describe many, game outcomes that glibly circumstantially fit the facts. (It's not a conspiracy but a tool kit for making new ones.)

If al-Qaida, had a goal defined, it could be pointless in terms of real outcomes, but as tool for disruption, al-Qaida seem an ideally suited antagonist in the game above, and while goals of real are unobtainable the idea of "fear" is fertile territory to waste a planet.

Suppose reasons of religion we forsook money as a worthy goal and condemned it as evil. Once we figured that Oil was the real resource to control, but it did not reach in to enemy's territory and destroy them, then we could figure that of controlled the financial resources was a more effective approach. The transfer of wealth from energy dependent countries to global financial organizations is a means to block energy independent alternatives, simply by being on the board of directors and major equity holders voting investment policy you block alternate energy investments. All that is needed is the group-think found on such boards, and to increase the monetary benefits accordingly. As long as the energy dependent country needs energy and has no alternatives you own them. Owing is not enough, if you wish to destroy them, you have to be more through, more complete, more effective.

The increased global financial holdings must be diversified, and with such huge resources you can buy out whole companies and gain more influence, from retail, to the whole sale, to the downright industrial; you are on your way to controlling business everywhere. Soon you understand that to keep the money machine going, you need instability on the Oil supply, this enables the military to hire a huge defense industry and profit from those businesses as well. This is a marketable position, owning or controlling 80 or 90 percent of a global economy would seem to satisfy the needs of the most money possessed, but remember your religious objective to destroy what you hate. Of course public taxes for defense, investment returns from global holdings would bring unwelcome attention to your intentions, so to better disguise them, use the media, oh and you already own them as well, good. So you own the energy supply, own the businesses, own the media, there is only one thing left to be removed, politics. The outright bribe may embarrass both sides, and campaign contributions are too public, no problem, just purchase the election with media messages and huge advertisements to media, and you own them too.

There is only one barrier left on your religious ideological zeal of destruction, it is the Vote. That nasty democratic idea, that individuals have the right, duty, obligation, responsibility and accountability to vote, to delegate power, to grant authority. Getting money to buy the system, and using the system to get more money and control the system and worshiping money to exclude all else, was easy, but you have to take away that last franchise of power; the vote. If the vote should go to new uncorrupted politicians, elected representatives, or senators and if the vote should determine majority rules, your house of money could collapse.

There is only one thing to do, to rid the system of the vote; so convince the voter that only God has the wisdom to vote, and to do so would be against God to vote. The next election should be about only one issue, the need to cure the country of immorality and the voters could vote for the last time against the right to vote.

Success is yours, and you rule; the mixture of energy, military, financial and religious motives has brought your wishes.

A mere military industrial complex was replaced by energy, military, financial and religious complex intended by God.

If you wanted a pointless existence, be hidden as drop of water is in the ocean.
