Iran is to build a second nuclear power plant in the southern city of Bushehr, by early 2014, state television reported Sunday, according to news reports.
"Iran will build a 1,000-megawatt nuclear power plant in Bushehr next year," state television quoted Fereydoon Abbasi Davani, the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation, as saying, according to a report on Afghanistan news site Tolo News.
He was referring to the Iranian calendar year, running from March 2013 to March 2014, the site said.
The current Bushehr nuclear plant was started by German engineers in the 1970s, before Iran's Islamic Revolution, and was completed by Russia, which continues to help keep it running and provides fuel for it, Tolo News said.
Iran has repeatedly said in recent years that it is planning to build more nuclear power plants but nothing has been offered to show that any work is under way, according to a report by The Associated Press.

Well, they want a power plan, at least that's what they claim, but the world wants them in the stone age. I guess they will have to fight to get what they want.
@ Jibaro
The only thing keeping the Iranians in the stone age is the Iranians themselves. They have no one to blame but themselves for their troubles. As far as fighting to get what they want, so what ! What makes you think they are untitled to anything ?
Perhaps their way of life has kept them back and they have no one to blame for their lack of development but they are trying now and they should be allowed to do so without the international pressure to stop them. Where the fighting is concerned, I would agree with you except it will be our guys out there doing the dirty work.
It's a pity that Iran openly threatens the destruction of a nation, and builds nuclear weapons at the same time.
Hopefully they build the Nuclear Plant better than the paper airplane drone. The propaganda machine in Iran spews out what they want to wish for but is clearly delusional.............
The Iranians claim that they are only interested in nuclear power and medical research, but this is refuted by their actions. Nuclear power plants only require uranium enriched to 3-5%. They continue to enrich uranium to 20% when they already have enough at that level to fuel their medical research reactor, the only one that needs this higher enrichment, many times over. They have installed a huge number of advanced centrifuges in their Fordo facility for the purposes of doing even more enrichment. The only purpose in stockpiling 20% enriched uranium is that it is the precursor to feed into the centrifuges to make highly enriched uranium, enriched to 90%, that is needed for nuclear weapons. By stockpiling 20% enriched uranium they are ensuring that they can rapidly produce large quantities of highly enriched uranium for weapons. This is the only logical reason for stockpiling uranium at this enrichment level since there is no other use for it once they had enough to fuel the research reactor. It is only a matter of time before the international community is forced to take out the Fordo facility, the other enrichment facility in Natanz, and all other nuclear research facilities in order to put an end to the Iranians covert weapons program.
You have to be a straight fool to support Iran at this point. Or an extremist Islamist.
Of course, we have our own extremist Islamists in the United States. We call them Democrats who never vote outside their party, and Republicans who do the same.
They've just replaced the Koran with only the people who agree with them.
The ayatollahs and their terrorist revolution won´t be in power to build a nuke plant in 2014.Soon planes, missiles from German subs .Israeli bombers. U,S and NATO planes some even from Saudi territory will massively attack Iran. Most of the world will cheer. It´s up to the ayatollahs how much of their country will be destroyed If they try anything funny ,the multinational coalition will use all the force necessary to defeat this horrible Islamist terror regime.Germany and Israel alone could knock out Iran.1.2.3 but there will be many more countries involved. If the Iranians don´t rise up and hang their leaders the ayatollahs the rest of the world will. The aystollahs no this.If they don´t open up completely their country like Libya did, with their nuke bomb program..they will be the only ones rsponsible for the massive destruction of their country,Just like Hitler was respnsible for the destruction of Germany. But it will be much easier to defeast the Ayatollahs. They are basically paper tigers compared to nazi Germany.. They know it and the rest of the world know it..Russia and China will watch from the sidelines.and may silently even approve of the attacks.Iran will be truly a doomed country!
JS - Medical isotopes require enrichment to 20%. You don't have a clue as to how much 20% uranium Iran has enriched or what their final requirements might be. Stop with the Zionist propaganda. We do not need any more wars fror Israel. Iran cannot produce weeapons grade uranium as long as the inspectors remain in Iran, so there is nothing to fear. Nuclear energy sites do not produce weapons. Again, nothing to fear.
The American consumer is already paying higher prices at the pump for their gas and fuel oil, because of sanctions imposed at the behest of the Jews in our government and Israel. Iran is not a threat to the US or Israel, as long as Israel quits trying to stir up trouble, with its threats and sanctions.
Read what the ahole Netanyahu had to say in 1992. His head was up his anus then and its still there. The Israelis have been lieing since they became a state.
'1992:'Israeli parliamentarian Benjamin Netanyahu tells his
colleagues that Iran is 3 to 5 years from being able to produce a nuclear
weapon – and that the threat had to be "uprooted by an international front
headed by the US"'.
un typo The Iranians know this not" no this".Though they are definitely a no-no regime..
bart martin, you should apply as a screen play writer for grade B Hollywood movies (German subs attacking Iran?).
RalphH, thanks for injecting some intelligence into this. Yes, people like JS think this country should do whatever Israel and AIPAC demand (and unfortunately, there are those in Congress who are all too happy to be led by their noses by these people). If Israel wants Iran taken out, then they should try it by themselves, we should not give up one more American life for them. Those who don't like what I say, move to Israel, they need you, I've read several articles stating that their Arab population is growing faster than their Jewish population and Israel may eventually become a minority ruling a majority, something like South Africa of the Apartheid days.
Sheeesh, building a "new" nuclear power plant to add to the ones they have in "operation" and "development".
At the rate the Iranians are going, they will have enough power plants to "export" electricity to the World.
Wait a minute....nuclear "power" plant in "development".....uh oh.....another little issue they can use to "slow down" any talk of their "military nuclear ambitions".
Listen they put themselves into the stone age with this idiotic Muslim sh$t. Let them stay there until they realize that killing anybody that things different is not the way to go.
Until they learn that, let our friends from Israel take care of those back wood bastards and blow 'em back beyond the stone age. No loss.
They should have more nuclear plants.
One of the most powerful has to be near Tehran to meet the "power" supplies for Tehran and around. Fukushima power plant experts are jobless. Get them to run!
These "brave" could not battle Saddam's Iraq for many years and even could not come to the rescue to Shiites in Bahrain.
These mad Mullahs and their supporters must be doing too many Friday's special prayers!
I have no idea who is still in stone ages & who is not. Obviously a long tradition & culture only goes so far as it must. The human society is on it's track to evolve & doing it in a much ever faster pase as time goes on bringing us all a much more realistic & somehow more questions are being answered as where we all are.
Science based on logic & not some 6 thousand year old word of mouth/s, is shedding light on the baselessness of frigid & fanatic idiologies such as religion not forgetting GOD itself. Let's please not forget "GOD" in it's HOLLY BOOKS dates the planet earth back to...i dont really remmeber that exact date if any...but about 6-8,000 years & not proven 4.5 billion years as science has proven. I mea we are not even talking +/- 5% here!!! GOD & it's beloved messengers have been proven way way way wrong!!!
Based on that, yes Islamic republic of Iran belongs to stone ages but so does almost every country including "IN GOD WE TRUST" of U$ meaning us, etc!
Let's focus on what affects us all...Iran's new nuclear power plant is not one or if it is let's discuss all other nations adding more & more nuclear plants on line.
Lets bond together as a race & not political motiviations of certain finacial concerns.
Thanks
I would like to advise the people who are constantly blaming the Nation of Israel for all the problems of the world. The King of the Jews says that those who bless Israel will be blessed and the ones who curse Israel will be cursed. You are putting a curse on yourself. Just beware . Their is a God, a one true God who loves the Nation of Israel and all the Jews from all over the world. Their must be a great deal of people who feel threatened by such a small country . Talk about bullies. God Bless all of Israel and all the Jews may the Protector of Israel show hisself strong and arise and let his enemies be scattered. In the name of of Jesus the Christ, also known as Yeshua. Israel will always be as long as God is ruler of the universe.
got any proof of that, theresa-3847594?
WOW! Everybody should and could have a nuclear plant. Welcome to the 21st. century.
We live in a THERMO NUCLEAR AGE.
THERMO NUCLEAR WEAPONS.
THERMO NUCLEAR WEAPONS can destroy nations.
Man is his own worst enemy.
While man keeps making big nuclear bangs. Man has so far limited itself to making small ones knowing full well that he is capable to make much bigger ones if he choose to.
I don't think there is anything religious, political, about being in the zone of a nuclear explosion or in range of the radiation they emit.
Insanity at it's worse. Man (Human kind) does not know what he's doing.
Insane
Can't say that I disagree with you but nuclear power is out there and oil supplies are limited.
Yep, pretty soon everyone will be "mandated" to install a "mini" nuclear power station in their backyard. Now, that will cost you........ /s/
These Islamic religious nut cases can't see anything and run anything properly.
They deserve all worlds junk nuclear power plants.
Iranian mullahs and their gangs are the biggest idiots one can get.
A small more bigoted, depotic bunch Sunni Islamic mad Saudis are manipulating through the oil companies, lobbyists and agents sanctions on Iranian oil.
If these people can't handle nearby Sunni Saudi Arabia and its puppets, these mullahs and their gangs can only battle women with bukhas/niqab, unarmed minorities!
What they will do nuclear power or even nukes!
Will they build a Thorium reactor? It is less dangerous than the MOX fuel reactors that are melting down in Fukushima. The IAEA should oversee that. At least Iran allows cooperation and inspections. Israel on the other hand have their nuclear arsenal and program unaccounted for.
@Al-469201
I am not sure what source you got that idea from. You better check your facts before you post that none sense here. For years the Iranians have thwarted most attempts at inspections. What do you think all the fuss is anyways ?
Hey Roger - Its you that better check your facts. Iran has allowed inspections since they signed the NPT. The real problem is Israel and the influence Jews have in our government. You will find the Jews in the positions of foreign relations and the military, where they can be most helpful to Israel. They work first and foremost for Israel.
As a signer of the NPT, Iran is allowed to enrich uranium for their nuclear energy program and for the medical isotopes. Israel does not want Iran to do any enrichment, because they fear that by dooing so, Iran will lwearn how to enrich uranium to weapons grade. That is like not me not wanting you to build a machine shop, because you could eventually learn to make a gun to kill me.
Enrichment and reactors are not forbidden to Iran as a signatory of the
Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), but the failure to disclose the work
prompts an IAEA investigation and much closer scrutiny.
Read below, then determine what country is the real threat to the world.
Israeli military historian, Martin van Creveld, who in 2010 said that “Israel
could find itself one day forced to exterminate the European continent using
all kinds of weapons including its nuclear arsenal if it felt its demise
neared,” and stressed that “Israel also considers Europe a hostile target.”
“We have hundreds of nuclear warheads and
missiles that can reach different targets in the heart of the European
continent, including beyond the borders of Rome, the Italian capital,” Creveld
said, adding that most of the European capitals would become preferred targets
for the Israeli air force.
He reiterated “Israel’s ability to destroy the
whole world whenever it felt its existence would be doomed to extinction.”
If one day, Iran decides to cut its cooperation with the IAEA, it
would make it easier to use such a site to make a bomb, but it's in the long
term," said Meir Javedanfar, an analyst and lecturer on Iranian issues
at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel. "In the short
term, I don't think Israel has too much to worry about because the site is
still under inspection.
(Still under inspection means it has been under inspection, Roger.) Can you understand?
You are either wildy naive, an islamist or an idiot. I don't really know which is worse, unless maybe a naive islamist idiot.
When was the last time Israel let in inspectors. Never, they have been blocked every time. While Iran is still working with the IEA and allowing inspections.
No one is arguing that Iran can not build nuclear power plants to use for energy. That is not the issue. The issue is their pursuit of nuclear weapons, which is entirely different than building a power plant.
Inspectors have determined no foul play. The goverment has denied nuclear weapons. Khomani said nuclear weapons are haram (forbidden) because they destroy all life, innocent or not which is a prohibition in the Islamic rules of engagement were even hurting a tree without purpose is haram (forbidden).
You have nothing to worry about.
Khomeni being a Muslim doesn´t have to tell the truth to non Muslims . The Isalmic terrorist regime of I ran has been lying for over 20 years about their nuke bomb sand enrichment. They´ve been caght red handed with their pants down.Even their cleric robes won´t protect them. It´s precisely becauuse most of the world is VERY worried about Iran that they will be atacked.Khomeni has used terrorist bombing zall over the world to kill all life in buildings.2 buildings in Buenas Aires are just 2 of many more attacks.David you must be part of the Iran propanganda deparment to publish such obviously false statements.Khomeni has the blood of thousands of people on his hands
I don't think its a problem them having Nuclear power plants, Its the fact they will not assure the rest of the world that its for just power plants , they are enriching uranium (high grade) at an alarming rate, and you don't need high grade uranium to produce electricity..........
(headline SHOULD read)........ Iran state TV: We'll build second Targetable Nuclear Plant
(Iran)....."Here's my sledge hammer, now hit me in the head with it.......please.."
Why should we target power generation facilities that help millions of people, including hospitals, schools, etc stay open an functioning. What the hell is wrong with you.
one should not believe all the propaganda that the U.S. and Isreali govt. presents to us. since 1776 the U.S. has been constanly at WAR most of which was started by the U.S. using the press to incite the public againts the treacheas foe!
Where do you think the world would be if some of the wars we started never happened. I agree that some wars were unjust and we need to take our share of responsibility for them. Remember, it takes two sides to fight a war. Some of the wars we started saved countless lives. Some of the wars cost us many life's. Imagine what would have happened had we not started some of the wars or worse yet, not fought in some of the wars others started.
Hey Roger - Where would we be if we had not started the war in Iraq, planned and sold by Zionists, headed by Paul Wolfowitz, Douglas Feith and other close friends of Sharon? Answer: More that 3 trillion dollars of debt would not be due, more than 4500 US soldiers would still be alive and more than 350,000 soldiers would not have brain injuries and/or losses of limbs and other debilitating problems.
Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis would be alive today and their cities would not have been destroyed and in chaos. This all happened because of Israel and its supporters, like Joe Liebermann and all the Zionist writers in the Jewish controlled media. They focused America on the lies of the neocons. Judy Miller wrote about Iraq and anthrax. Krauthammer was busy trying to link Iraq with Atta and 9/11.
Zionist warmongers like Ken Adelman and the Zionist Washington Post pushed the war in
an editorial titled, “Cakewalk in Iraq.” Jewish supremacists Richard Perle and
Paul Wolfowitz told you that Iraq would “Welcome us as liberators.” Iraq became
the longest war in American history. Here is a report from USA Today: “Pentagon
officials estimated for the first time Wednesday that up to 360,000 Iraq and
Afghanistan veterans may have suffered traumatic brain injuries.” Now that’s
not counting tens of thousands who have suffered maiming, amputations, or death
in this war based on lies.
Kind of a heavy price to pay for a bunch of lies, wouldn't you say, Roger?
I'm going to ask a loaded question. Where are they getting all this money to build these nuke facilities if they are under sanctions to stop their nuclear endeavors? That's where the source of trouble is!
I like to share something here and would be interested on other opinion.
Things Nuclear
Recently I was playing and searching on the internet for HOW MANY NUCLEAR EXPLOSIONS HAVE BEEN DETIONATED.
The things I found. Well, I'm sure as hell confused. What are we doing.
If interested check it out yourself. I'll try to paint a picture of some of my findings now.
My understanding that during the 2nd. World War Nazi Germany was working to develop a nuclear or atomic device. They wanted it to be a weapon. Seems they never got it. They were close but stopped and the war with them ended. The Americans, Great Britton, and Russians took there scientist and other informantion home and began where Nazi Germany was stopped. THE RACE WAS ON.
Well The United states figured it out first and split the ATOM right here in America and the explosion was tremdous. WE HAVE THE BOMB.
War still raged with Japan and the United States used two "A" bombs against Japan and was able to help end that part of the war.
The taste of nuclear blood was now in mans mouth.
Anyway trying to stay on track heres some of what I found.
If you like.
On the internet and even YOU TUBE you can find where a Japanese scientist created a time line of all the nuclear explosions from the first one here in the United States up to say 1998 or around that time. There is a video that plays it out and shows the locations and who detionated each one. You might find this very very imformative or interesting. It could also be viewed as discusting, desturbing, whatever.
See for yourself where the worlds governments are regarding what they have exploded nuclear devices.
Decide for yourself does it have to be as it is.
I also found something called THE FOG OF WAR A DOCUMENTARY. Written by Robert MacMemarra (sorry bout the spelling) the secatary of defense during the Kennedy administration and during the Viet Nam WAR interesting.
Another thing can be found in public libaries is a subject about what the United States did regarding efforts to use the nuclear explsions for peace time use. The project was called OPERATION PLOWSHARE. I would love to hear shared opinions on that one.
Make no mistake we live in a THERMO NUCLEAR AGE.
THERMO NUCLEAR WEAPONS CAN DESTROY NATIONS.
Well gotta go. I'll check the boards later.
Peace to all. Coffee time.
I thought the very same thing! For a country under economic sanctions and physical threat to their sovereignty; it makes one wonder, just exactly how much does the Nuclear produced power COST per kilowatt if they have to bury their facilities inside of mountains and underneath another ten feet of reenforced concrete and steel blast doors? They must be the only country on the planet who would build a commercial, nuclear powered "generating station" underground! Of course that's what they tell everyone outside of Iran so us outsiders must all be gullible I guess.....They can't even LIE with a straight face. If you've noticed, every time "The Rat-Man" opens his mouth he's grinning like the Cheshire Cat eating crap out of a hair brush!
Waldo - They have to build underground. Israel has been threatening to blow up their facilities, have they not? Where do you think Israel's facilities are located? Answer: Underground
I am aware of that fact Ralph. I was being facetious.....
My comments were based on Iran's statements indicating to the rest of the world that their intentions are strictly peaceful and honorable and that they only wish to produce electricity. At this point, Iran is "whistling past the cemetery" with its lies and deceit. I'm just surprised that Israel hasn't whacked them yet. Saudi Arabia would just love to see their Persian neighbor in smoking ruin. They like the situation less than Israel does.
wheres waldo- bingo. SA will be in range and maybe attacked if iran gets nukes. then the whole ME would have their own cold war. throw in terror groups that would use a nuke in a heartbeat and it will not be good. im suprised that SA hasnt jointly attacked iran w/ israel.
Why does a country loaded with oil located in a desert where there's lots of sun and wind need nuclear power? Iran doesn't seem that densely populated either.
The US was going to help Iran build nuclear energy facilities way back in the 60's. They had plenty of oil then and we still saw the need then. They were our friends then, so it was all right, no questions asked.
One od the big reasons the Israeli wnat sanctions, is so the israelis can sell their gas supplies, located in Turkmenistan to India, via a pipeline which is to be built through Afghanistan- Pakistan and on to India. Iran could supply India the same gas, at a cheaper price, but that would take away from Israel's goals. It is call the TAPI pipeline.
www.rense.com/general15/game.htm
MOSCOW — A plan to build a regional natural gas pipeline
across war-ravaged southern Afghanistan, long thought to be
impractical given the dismal security there, moved a step closer to becoming
a reality on Saturday.
The leaders of Turkmenistan, Pakistan and
Afghanistan and India’s energy minister signed a preliminary agreement in
Turkmenistan’s capital, Ashgabat, to proceed with plans for the American-backed
pipeline, the Russian news agency Itar-Tass and other regional media reported.
United States officials hope that the line, called TAPI, will not only bolster
Afghanistan’s economy by generating transit fees but will strengthen ties
between the archrivals India and Pakistan.
The pipeline, which would be about 1,080 miles long, would carry gas from
Turkmenistan through Afghanistan and Pakistan and into India.
as much as we dont like it , its thier right china, japan, india has them what if we questioned china about a nuclear reactor? they would tell us to take a walk and guess what? we would !!!!!!!!
@ UDunnoBro:
They don't even produce their own gasoline product. They import it with trade for oil! Now that's a strategic military move in Iran's self interests! They go to war and have to import gasoline and jet fuel? Yet they build another nuke plant. ............I guess they are just a bunch of crazys who certainly bear watching, closely.
Iran State TV sounds as bizarre as FOX, Republican State TV.
Iranian TV seems pretty good compared to FOX ! J/K
Iran State TV? Sometimes I think we have the same thing here in the US.
Iran state TV:Iran Stat
What business is it of ours??? I've never heard of them threatening America heh heh. It's their country, we should leave them alone LOL
@ Canoworms
What planet you have been on. Have you never seen the Iranian people chanting in their streets " Death to America "....... You don't find that threatening ?
It should be pointed out that Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu worked closely with Mitt Romney at Boston Consulting Group after Bibi obtained his masters in Business Administration from Yale. It should be pointed out that his center right coalition with the Kadima party has given him an enormous legistative majority. With this power and contacts, the institute predicts that the Prime minister can be assured of being in office were Mitt Romney elected President and at the time when the oath of office is taken. Then in January 2013 the Prime Minister, with the full cooperation of the United States, will engage in an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. However, were President Obama reelected, the institute predicts that Israel will attack Iran's nuclear facilities shortly after the election and that President Obama will reluctantly cooperate. However, the chaos and turmoil of the war will be much greater because there had been no cooperative planning beforehand. In any event, the war will not be declared by Congress and the institute believes predicts that the draft will be put in place. Without the declaration, protests will occur as at the time of the Viet Nam war and will probably get out of hand because of the great divisiveness present in our country.

@ Canoworms
Can't say as I blame them heh heh. What have we done to them LOL? With all those sanctions we put on them, wouldn't you say the same thing heh heh
They have been chanting Death to America long before any sanctions were ever levied by our country or any other for that matter. I suggest you read some history before you post here. Perhaps re-read what little you have read. Start your history lesson around about 1960 or earlier.
Good points, many of you. But the thing you are overlooking is that Iran poses NO and I mean NO threat to the united states or Isreal with nuclear weapons. We invented the damn things many, many years ago. Our technology is many generations beyond TRYING to build an effective intercontinental ballistic missle. We were in this thing called a cold war for a long time, for those of you who forgot. We have missiles that shoot down missiles. Hell, we have missiles that shoot down other missiles that shoot down missiles. So does Isreal. The only threat that could be posed is someone sneaking a suitcase nuke past our borders, and really that threat has existed since the fall of the USSR left thousands of nuclear weapons up for grabs. Iran is basically trying to go from kerosene lamps to enriched uranium weapons in one generation on the backs of other peoples technology, and I forsee the only thing they are going to accomplish is to blow themselves even further back into the stone age and do the world a favor.
I've read the history of Iran in relationship to the US and it bothers me that we get the wrath of their propaganda but non the other EU countires do.Several EU countries were involved in taking oil out of Iran in second half of the 20th cetury and openly screwing the Iranians. Our downfall happened when the Iran socialist party with the backing of some state union went on strick and all the oil shipments stopped. The Shah had to leave the country and the socialist took over.Only later that did the Mullahs come to power and their hardline American policy began.Iran does have refineries but they are older and cannot operate at full capacity. But ,the Russiians,Chinese,Indians have all signed contracts to build new refineries and pipeleines in Iran to ship out oil anf natural gas to various points.Matter of fact ,if you looked at a map of Iran,yo would see it circled by one uninterupted pipeline for 4 different destiantions for their petroleum products. It's a geopolitical move on thier part and currenly they are winning! All oil will be gone in the next 50-100 years. The only thing petroleum that willl be left is natural gas.Iran has a hundred years supply of natural gas,Russia has 2 hundred years of supply and the rest of the middle east has 75 years supply of natural gas.America has about 50 years supply. We are in deep do-do !
You got a little off topic mas098 but I will address your issues. Alternative power sources are not popular now or researched well now because there is still way too much money in oil. Make no mistake, when the oil runs dry the mega power industries are not going to say "oh, hell, I guess we go broke now". Americans will not go without power and the companies will not go without money. It will be a changeover in culture the likes of which hasn't been seen since the car was invented, but make no mistake the world knows its coming and I assure you plans for the end of oil have been drawn up a long time ago.
Astute comment.
Oh and the same thing I said about Iran goes double for North Korea. Did you see their last long range missile test? What a joke. These countries are like an 8 year old with a pocketknife. Yeah, you have a deadly weapon. Now I'm going to smack the piss out of you until you run home crying.
An entire country begging to get bitch slapped....
Doyou remeber whenBush tried toprevent Iranfroim evenhaving peaceful nuclear power even though that was allowed under the Nuclear ProliferationTreaty?? This is why Iran is socynicaltodayabout US inteests-and by all accounts those fears are well placed. The West always chooses the rules it want to play by; so Iran decides to follow sut-and play bywhatever fits for the moment.
After Fukashim the world is not moving foaward much onnuclear-and the world can't be clamed at the genera l re-assement going on now. This is brace talk-a negotiating posture. Itis truely unlikely because of sactions onIran that such a project could move foward. An 2014 is years away.
In what way have sanctions managed to curb ANYTHING, Arlin?
The problem with Iran is not if they build a bomb but when. More importantly will the regime in charge be rational or irrational. They have is desire to hasten the coming of the 12th imam! In their point of view, that can be done by firing off a few nukes and having entire world involved in a nuclear war where the world is destroyed and the 12th imam returns! It seems no less irrational, for that scenario, than the return of Christ to the Christians!
