KABUL, Afghanistan -- The second highest al-Qaida leader in Afghanistan was killed in a weekend airstrike in the country's volatile east near the border with Pakistan, NATO-led forces said on Tuesday.
Saudi Sakhr al-Taifi, also known as Musthaq and Nasim, was responsible for commanding foreign insurgents and directing attacks against coalition and Afghan forces, NATO said in a statement.
He frequently traveled between Afghanistan and Pakistan, carrying out commands from senior al-Qaida leadership, supplying weapons and equipment to insurgents and transporting insurgent fighters into Afghanistan, the statement said.
He was killed on Sunday in the Watahpur district of Kunar province after being identified with another al-Qaida militant.
No civilians were harmed and no civilian property was damaged, the statement said.
Reuters contributed to this report.

Carve another notch in Obummer's bedpost.
Yes, the President bows to Muslims, LMAO
Did you read the part that accedited the mission to NATO not Obama? Are you that hard pressed to find something good about this president's term that you take credit for flowers blooming or missions that had nothing to do with this pretender?
Who do you think pulls NATO's strings?
Not Obama or the article written by the msnbc arm of the Obama campaign would have given him credit and not NATO...there are things Obama is pulling, but its not strings on this operation.
He pulls something but not strings.
The number two Al Queda in AFGHANISTAN Sachr al-Taifi who led the foreign insurgents in Afghanistan, supplied weapons is a SAUDI-born AQ member. Accordiong to ISAF- a airstrike by NATO killed him and another (foreign)AQ in Wataphur/Kunar district- no civilians there. Very little has been reported in US of A, that drone missile strikes on suspected terrorists in Pak/autonomous tribal area (FATA) -yesterday's strike killed 5- 16th strike in May 2012 - since beginning of 2012 altogether 117 people killed in FATA by US drones.
I see how this works. When industrialists keep the jobs over seas for slave labor and unemployment is high, it's President Obama's fault. When our military or NATO kills "valuable targets" let's give the credit to who?
I need a copy of the GOP's rule book to figure out who gets credit for what.
This Administration has long ago STOLEN the National Defense issue from the GOTeaParty....they got nuthin to play with in this area...
And with Mr. Offshore One Percenter as THEIR hopelessly inept, VultureCapitalist Candidate, they have no chance of getting the White House back...too bad, so sad.
Has anyone else noticed that in the decade plus that we've financed this war, the media has reported at least a half-dozen suspected al-Qaida "number two's" dispatched by the military. There will ALWAYS be another "Number Two". Meanwhile, as we hunt down selected personnel with half-million dollar drones, we continue to spend the equivalent of 100 times that country's GDP every year that we occupy it. Our military didn't learn a thing from Viet-nam. Get out now! Cut off EVERY PENNY of aid, and let them settle their disputes the way that they have for 3000 years.
We are 5 months away from the 'Reverse Shellacking' and the Conservatives cant get it up for their candidate. If Romney was that good for the Presidency he would have beat Yosemite McCain in '08.
The GOP call successful missions by our military "appeasement".
Someone should go to Pakistan and put up a parking lot..
Paradise.
Hell folks, remember when the last administration was killing the Number 3 al-Qaida leader every other week? Well now they are starting that ruse up again.
The "war on terror" isn't to spread democracy and freedom around the world it is to spread Wall Street!
Al Qaeda was created and funded by the CIA during the Soviet-Afghan war in the late ’70s and throughout the ’80s. The funding of these militants did not begin after the Soviet invasion, but actually several years before the invasion. US intervention in Afghanistan by training and arming Afghanistan’s Mujahidin, along with Osama Bin Laden’s Arab fighters.
US National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski met with Osama Bin Laden on many occasions then leading the CIA’s Arab legionaries in Afghanistan. Bin Laden’s Al Qaeda would later spin off into regional terrorist organizations, covertly armed, trained, and protected by the CIA to this day, including LIFG in Libya, MEK in Iraq and Iran, and Baluchi terrorists in Pakistan.
I could go on and on and if you are really interested in the truth the information is easily attainable and available on the net.
This is good, keep lopping the heads of the organization off and eventually noone will want to take the risk.
Undoubtedly some of the reports have been mistaken (no, no great conspiracy) but there's a reason why all those number 2 and 3 guys are getting waxed: They are the operational ones, not the ones hiding next to Paki military and intelligence installations like Osama and al-Zawahiri. If you're out in the field you have a much greater chance of getting blown up.
@TrustVerify
You have some serious inconsistencies and inaccuracies in your post, not to mention some outright fabrications
Al Qaeda was NEVER created and funded by the CIA. AQ are Wahhabists and mainly from Saudi. The Mujaheddin are Afghanis and are Pashtos.
The Arabs in Afghanistan at the time were just a handful of of Wahhabists. Your claims about terrorist spin offs is nothing other than full blown conspiracy theories.
The funding NEVER began prior to the invasion. We had NO vested interest there prior to the Soviet incursion. We didnt have advisers, arms, money or time invested in the region. The CIAs station budget was less than $300k.
The information you are getting on the net is yellow journalism or opinionated leftist pieces at best. I can find information on the net that states that the Obama Administration was flown in from Mars but that doesnt make it accurate or worth regurgitating on Newsvine.
good riddance to bad ... piggish
Keep turning these Islamic fundamentalist and terrorist scum into a greasy smear on the roadside. They will not be missed, only replaced by another potential greasy smear.
@Sandtrich #1.7: That rule book was written by and for the "breech born" only.
It appears that "al-Qaida Number 2" is a very hazardous job. It seems each week we read about the killing of AQ #2. Wonder how many #2s are left. At this rate AQ will disappear in a year.
I wonder who is #2 now?
How long before they find #1 AQ?
We'll get you and your little DOG too...
Looks like Pakistan just lost another member of their military intelligence. LOL.
And stop baby crying over Obama. Jeese, grow up and just vote, like the big people do.
Go NATO forces...keep killing them, or at least claiming you are!

Your credibility just took a nosedive.

Turn 'em all into a greasy smear along the roadside.
Trustverify is half right. The US did create Al Qaida by giving them guns to help fight the soviets. They were pawns caught in between two super powers fighting to expand their empires. This was a common practice during the Reagan era. We would arm local militants to fight on our behalf in strategically advantageous places where we had interests. We used them with no regard for what we were doing to their land and their people, and then we stopped protecting them and basically abandoned them with their "Made in the USA" guns.
That's why they got pissed. But to hypothesize that the CIA is still protecting them today is ludicrous.
It was the mujahideen that the US was giving money to, not Al Qaida. After the war with the Soviets, Osama Bin Laden, put together the Al Qaida network. During the war with the Soviets Bin Laden fought with the Mujahideen. Part of what Trustverify is saying is true, but a small part. The US Does/did not fund Al Qaida, They provided weapons to the Mujahideen. Watch the movie "Charley Wilson's War". It portrays a good image of what was going on at the time.
"I could go on and on and if you are really interested in the truth the information is easily attainable and available on the net."
Searching for information to back your version of the truth doesn't make it the truth. You do know that everything on "the net" inst true don't you?
jmo,
The US did not create AQ, that group was there long before we got involved. But, I can certainly buy the US selling them weapons to fight the Soviets.
Just for a measure of clarity I'd like everyone to agree that the "war on terror" isn't over and that it's an ugly business to keep going after them. As noted in another article (not on MSNBC), the President has an evergrowing "kill list"- people whom he authorizes actions against if an opportunity arises. This list is presented to him by a select group in regular meetings.
Again, just for clairty, I'd like to note that I support the continued efforts against international terrorism including having such a list if these people are as bad as noted. So, I support the President in his authorizing deadly force against them. I realize that Pres. Bush would have been condemned for the same actions, but that's the difference between partisan hackery and realizing that "wars" are difficult and ugly. As long as people can allow themselves to be open to situationally critical tasks, such as the kill list, they should also be able to remove political parties from the equation. How about we start trying this out??
Richard, yes we did!

The problem is the people never want to know the truth. They just listen to the bs the politicains tell us. To them that's the gospel. In Iraq the CIA supplied the chemicals to Saddam that killed the Kurds. That is also fact , and when his time was up and he was of no use he was eliminated.
I am glad these attacks are happening. If Pakistan won't grow a pair and take care of the terrorists. We will. I don't care who complains, we need to protect ourselves at all cost. And if you think you can talk them into peace, be my guest. The Taliban just sprayed a bunch of school girls and there is no news about it. Just when the US gets blamed for something. Enough of the bleeding hearts, and lets take the gloves off and finish this war. If you don't like the US, then don't help our enemy. We have a right to protect ourselves.
Dr. Evil will never fall because he doesn't exist; not unlike the relentless number 2's and 3's. Get a grip America.
Corporate interests aren't served by staying home, so they aren't going to write anything else. Do some real research, read a BOOK about international finance, and connect the dots.
How long before they find #1 AQ?
We'll get you and your little DOG too...
(since 1.22 is "hidden")
If you go back a little, OBL did not start AQ until after we went in to kick Saddam out of Kuwait. He was pissed that Americans were setting up base in Saudi Arabia on holy Muslim soil. AQ was not formed until years after the Soviet invasion and war with the Mujahideen.
I can't believe how stupid people can be! We killed al-qaida's number two guy and some people here act like it's phony because we have killed a lot of number 2 al-qaida guy over the years. Ever think that when we kill one they appoint another????? No that would make too much sense it has to be some insane media coverup or government plot!!! Sometimes just sometimes the simplest answer is the right one . We killed the number 2 al-qaida guy in Afghanistan. Someone else will fill that roll. They will until the life expectancy when doing so is a month.
Devil's Son- By killing higher figure heads and leaders it sends a message. Keep running, you will die tired. They know it. And they are afraid to die. They like sending others to die for them. Plus they don't really have the time to set up the attacks they really want to. No place to plan and train openly.
Foreign policy and defense are being handled very well by this centrist President.
Not the conservative narrative of weak on military- but in fact, smarter than the GOP offering.
Romney can't touch Obama here.
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Bush's CIA and military are getting these guys. Obama has ignored and derided the military all through his failed term.
Nooo Tim, Bush gave up after "Mission Accomplished" 9 years ago, remember? Obama is getting the baddies now. You're just jealous.
@Tim W.
Prove it.
Bush still has CIA and Military? Wow, that's pretty good for a retard that's been out of office for 4 years. Maybe he's one of those drug cartel leaders you see in movies with their own personal armies.
I just read that the al-qaida flag is now flying proudly over Libya?
Is this right?

Sorry, bush and company never stopped looking, but he did realize that having a large number of people looking wasn't being effective. Then there is the psychology behind saying that the hunted is no longer such a huge concern.
Of course you can always post the links where obama went back to the original manpower numbers finding bin laden that bush2 reduced after tora bora.
Just because finding bin laden has taken 3 different administrations is no reason to try touting obama over bush2 or clinton's efforts. Even the FBI can take years finding their "most wanted", and they do it mainly on a domestic basis, rather than an international one.
Yeah, and saying your done searching will manage expectations so that everyone expects less from you. Guess what, we got less from Bush. Get over it.
D-1129384 maybe you can explain what his foreign policy is before giving credit that it is succeeding...no one, and that includes the experts have any idea what his policy is, but clearly you have insight that others do not have, and an explanation would help to clarify your point and your claim.
I just get a 'rip-roaring' laugh created by the completely clueless folks that cannot and will not give President Obama credit for anything, and that includes breathing on his own! You are comedians one and all, congratulations and keep that great humor coming in your posts! THANKS!
Sorry, but I don't buy that. Obama has nothing to do with terrorists being killed-- the military does. ANY president would authorize the killing of terrorists.
I find it interesting that the only people who are giving Obama credit for this and politicizing it are Liberals, such as yourself, who have never served a day in the military. On the other hand, a poll just came out that shows that the vast majority of military veterans (myself included), are 100% against Obama. Sorry, but I'll take the wisdom of other military folks over what Liberal Obama-supporters say.
Bush's CIA? That does sound a tad revisionist... Especially considering reports of his political advisor Rove having outed a CIA operative, when her husband didn't back the Niger uranium claim... Outing operatives for political reasons, because the person's family member doesn't through his weight behind claims might be very Rove-esque, but it isn't a way to get the support of people who are putting their lives on the line. On the other hand, it might be enough to encourage certain operatives to start airing certain dirty laundry in the media, which would be more of a politically embarassing nature, but unlike what Rove did, wouldn't put people's lives at risk... Funny thing is, that following that whole matter, certain leaks wrt the Bush admin did come to pass, and the "who's responsible" is something that they weren't able to track.
And incidently (and even with having said the above), as to the whole political your president is that, and, or giving all the blame and none of the credit; I do hate to say it but BOTH SIDES have done this. The left had done it with Bush, the right does seem to do it with Obama. At this point, it's partisan yes, but not something that has been exclusive to one side alone....
Ba ha ha ha ha ha! I can't even respond.
Nuadormrac-- uh, you do realize the so-called "operative" you are referring to was white, American, blue-eyed and blonde? and "operating" in NIGER? You do realize that apparently the only one who DIDN'T know that a blue-eyed caucasian American in NIGER was an operative... was you. That would be like pretending that a Norwegian in Harlem actually DOES belong there. <shaking head>
Bottom line he is toast.
Who is this NATO ????..........Greeks? Italians ?, Brits? America? we spend billions and billions of dollars on our military....and is it the French or Belgians killing these Terrorists?? Not the USA....? If our military is so incompetent where is all this money going??
Tim Bush gave up on bin-laden didn't care. he was too busy fighting his illegal Iraq war.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PGmnz5Ow-o
pldp Uh, "Bush" didn't fight anything. It was the MILITARY who fought it. And we joined the military VOLUNTARILY-- there is no draft. So when you say stupid things like "illegal war", you are stating that every member of the military are criminals. Sorry, but we won't stand for that kind of stupidity. People like you keep forgetting that "Bush" didn't go over personally and fight. The military did.
When the Bush cabinet ..outed Valerie the CIA agent, an angry Pres. Bush Senior called this person who did that a TRAITOR!
The TRAITOR sat right at the top .
"Sorry, but I don't buy that. Obama has nothing to do with terrorists being killed-- the military does. ANY president would authorize the killing of terrorists."
Of which Obama is now in charge of.
As for any president authorizing the killing of terrorist while that may be true if its a SURE thing Obama took an incredible risk going after OBL. They weren't even more than 50% sure he was there. Do you really think ANY sitting President would have authorized a mission that could have ended in political suicide? I'm sure GB wouldn't have. (heck he didn't even seal off the back side of Toro Boro so that OBL could walk into Pakistan because he didn't want to go into their country) . Could you imagine what would have happened if we raided that home and instead of OBL it was just a normal family? Obama took a HUGE risk something, in my opinion, most Presidents wouldn't have.
As for your poll PHHFFFFTTTTTT don't make me laugh! I can find one that say 100% agree with him. Polls don't mean sh$T
@David Vazquez
When are you going to figure out who is in charge of the Military?
Vazquez - there's actually a decent amount of white people in Niger. Not everyone in Africa is black, you know.
David Vazquez; Wow the way you talk about you commander in chief is astounding. Since you dont have a clue Obama is the head of all the branches. He has gotten things done as appossed to the idiot CiC Bush who his father got him out of the Vietnam war by putting him in the Nation Guard. The ongoing joke back then was Why did the chicken cross the road: To join the National Guard. Once Bush made a mockery of the Guard and then use them to fight his wars.
To the covert Cia opp. She was the Ambassadors wife you idiot. Maybe you should read more before you post. Im not a liberal and I was in the military but get your facts straight. Oh and by the way it is not allowed while serving to insult the CIC. Its still not a democracy in the military and you could be kicked out for what youve said. Geez I still dont think youve served a day in your life to be that ignoarnt of military standards that were drilled into every private in basic training.

EXCEPT FOR THIS
We know, with a 70 percent level of certainty — which is huge in the world of intelligence — that in August of 2007, bin Laden was in a convoy headed south from Tora Bora. We had his butt, on camera, on satellite. We were listening to his conversations. We had the world’s best hunters/killers — Seal Team 6 — nearby. We had the world class Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) coordinating with the CIA and other agencies. We had unmanned drones overhead with missiles on their wings; we had the best Air Force on the planet, begging to drop one on the terrorist. We had him in our sights; we had done it. Nice job again guys — now, pull the damn trigger.
Unbelievably, and in my opinion, criminally, we did not kill Usama bin Laden.
Tora Bora
On 18 September 2001, US President George W Bush famously declared that Bin
Laden was wanted "dead or alive".
Bin Laden fully expected to die
in the mountains of Tora Bora
The next month US aircraft began a massive bombing campaign against al-Qaeda
bases in Afghanistan as part of a mission to destroy the group, kill Bin Laden
and other key leaders, and to defeat the Taliban.
Military special forces and CIA teams, along with their Afghan allies, were
also deployed on the ground to seize control of al-Qaeda strongholds.
Although the US and its allies declared victory that December, Bin Laden had
been neither captured nor killed. He was, however, cornered in a complex of
caves and tunnels in the mountainous eastern Afghan area of Tora Bora.
Under relentless attack from the ground and air, Bin Laden fully expected to
die and even wrote a will on 14 December.
But fewer than 100 US commandos were on the scene with their Afghan allies
and calls for reinforcements to launch an assault were rejected, according to
a 2009 report by the US Senate foreign relations committee.
Requests were also turned down for US troops to block the mountain paths
leading to sanctuary a few kilometres away in Pakistan.
End Quote Andrew Card Chief-of-staff to President George W Bush
Instead, commanders chose to rely on air strikes and
Afghan militias to attack Bin Laden and on Pakistan's Frontier Corps to seal his
escape routes.
US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said at the time that he was concerned
that too many US troops in Afghanistan would create an anti-American backlash
and fuel a widespread insurgency.
Two days after writing his will, Bin Laden and his bodyguards walked out of
Tora Bora and disappeared over the border into Pakistan.

RE: your post #3.15
Jimmy, please, your uninformed side is showing and we all know that you can look-up just who, what, where, when, why, and how the North American Treaty Organization was founded. But just in case I'm mistaken, below is the home page of their web site.Wishing you, good reading!
http://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/index.htm
Ed-- A) Yes. I will repeat it, since apparently you missed it the first time. ANY PRESIDENT WOULD HAVE ORDERED THE DEATH OF BIN LADIN. Any. President. Slow enough for you? I'd be glad to repeat it for you if you missed it this time too.
B) You never served a day in the military. You don't deserve to even lick the boots of those who have, myself included. So your opinion means ZILCH to me, and I will give it the respect it deserves. Which is roughly equivalent to the respect the steaming brown sausages my dog just left on the lawn deserve.
C) Deal with it-- most of the military despises Obama. The polls confirms it. But anyone who's ever served already knows it's true, BECAUSE NONE OF US KNOWS ANYONE WHO LIKES OBAMA.
FAYE you're an idiot. Here are a few reasons:
A) You're actually faulting someone who "got out of the Vietnam war"?? Are you kidding?? You would have been burning your draft card yourself if your number had come up. You're always so quick to attack those who do the things you yourself would have done.
B) The man (Bush) was actually a COMMISSIONED OFFICER, and a PILOT. These are not easy things to achieve. This puts him WAY ahead of Obama, who never served a day in his life, and is anti-military.
C) You apparently have low regard for the National Guard. I'm sure the thousands of brave (and fallen) members of the National Guard really appreciate your disrespect for them.
D) I can "disrespect" Obama all day long. Obama is a worthless piece of manure. How's that? I don't understand what you're rambling about "military standards", what do "military standards" have to do with me?? Do I look like I'm in the military?? Idiot.
E) Yeah I know all about the Valerie Plame case, I "read all about it". My point was that only an IDIOT would not have guessed that an AMERICAN, who works out of, or is married to someone who works out of, AN AMERICAN EMBASSY, isn't involved in intelligence gathering. In case you don't know, all intelligence agencies the world over operate out of EMBASSIES. So anyone worth their salt knows that anyone who works there or is related to anyone who works there is suspect. The government of Niger already knew who she was before she even boarded the plane to arrive there. But apparently this comes as a surprise to you. You are supremely ignorant.
It always seems that these pukes are killed "Very near the border of Pakistan" or like Osama BinHidin, in Pakistan. Hmmmm. Seems to be a pattern here ! Pakistan is no more our "friend" than BinHidin was. We should cut ALL money and Aid to this Terrorist sponsoring Country and i personally would like to see India throw a couple of Nukes at them.
I'm no Romney supporter or Obama either, but even the Moron "W" Bush would have cut all money and ties with Pakistan by now. Why doesn't Obama ?
:P
You are kidding right? Read a little and wake up. Pakistan was always a reluctant Ally and when they changed political heads we lost big time. We are only friendly with them when both of our interests meet up. You do understand that there are forces there who would do the same thing to their government as they would to ours. In this world of intrigue over there frineds become foes at the drop of a hat.
Obama and the Other G 8 Puppets do what the Bank Eletes tell them, To-Do.. The Banks finance all the Death-and-Destruction that is going on the world.. The peoples of the world re-pay the Banks, at Interest.. War is the best way to get the World's population, under control.. Only thing is, the Bankers are struggling to get Russia, India and China, "In Line" and "Into the Game"..
Because it is a Muslim country.
Oh yeah, just "throw a couple of NUKES at them?" The way some people think around here. Every time I read these forums I understand more and more why the rest of the world hates Americans.
if they don't toe the rope nuke time
to copy a famous quote: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". Pakistan is only in our graces because of the fact they have nukes. Afghanistan has always been a strategic position for the US. It snuggles closely to russia and provides quick military reponse or "defense" from any incursion from the "Soviet" bear. While landlocked, it has resourses which are desired. If you have not been there, you would not see it.
Before the soviet/afghan war, the place was booming with technology including electric cable cars and some exquisit mansions. After the soviets pulled out, they stripped the place of its resources and dessimated the country. I have seen it with my own eyes. If you see Khandahar, it is supported by Iran and other countries. It looks like a modern town to an extent. Kabul looks war torn and crappy. Coincidentally, its supported by the US and Brittain and other allies.
Afghanistan supports democracy provided it compliments its religeous view. Its against the Soviet doctrin and Marxism. So the enemy of my enemy is my friend. With strategic advantage and the fact Afghanistan does not want the soviets in thier life, here we are to support them. The taliban is a gang of thugs no better than the crips and bloods in our country. The exception is they have automatic weapons and explosive devices with little consequences which they suffer for their actions. If the crips, bloods, and criminal motorcycle gangs could take over this country without reprocussions, they would have done so.
Pakistan, if not controlled, will lose their nukes to terrorists. Either by force or coersion through financal underhand payments. They dont want to take force against the taliban and Alqueda because they are getting support from us to take them out. If they take them out however, we no longer support them.
I'm looking at these comments, and I honestly can't tell if you people are serious. Really? Throw a couple of nukes at them? "If they don't toe the rope nuke time"? One. That's how many it would take to turn the US from mildly disliked by most of the world, to globally hated. If we set off one, not only do we run the risk of everybody else who has one cooking it off, but those who don't are suddenly going to be very unfriendly to prevent a repeat. Even threatening to set one off is a dangerous move. Brinksmanship is a game nobody can afford to play anymore.
Remember that deck of cards Bush had? Who's been doing the dealing? Anyone know how many cards have been played so far?
AH I know this one.............the answer is........... "C" lol
That was an Iraqi deck of cards. He never bothered with Afghanistan long enough to give them their own deck.
Speardog, I think that's because Karzai has never played with a full deck before...
Also I'm not sure we had a really firm idea of who was in power in Al-Qaeda, aside from Osama up at the top and maybe one or two of his lieutenants. The Iraqi government was more or less open on who exactly was in charge, and that's where the Deck of 52 came from.
A NEW number 2? They're like cockroaches.
or poop.
Who does number two work for? I loved that part in Austin Powers.
Too bad their alledged "prophet" Mohammad isn't walking around. We could take him out too. I'd settle for carpet bombing that big black box-like structure they like to do their annual "pilgrimmage to.....Is that Mecca? What the hell is in that thing anyway? We should drop pig entrails over it. However, I wouldn't have any problem with also taking out the Vatican.....as well as any of the alledged "holy" sites the christian "church" likes to ramble on about in their propaganda.
Someone should drop pig guts on your house. Oh wait, that would be a waste of pig guts.
Yeah Tim, the POTUS keeps ringing them up eh? Must piss you off eh? Your little coward "W", who ducks actual combat couldn't find his toothbrush on any given day. We keep bringing them down, pretty soon they will be like the Japanese Air Force at the end, with 18 year olds in the Pilot's seat.

remind us again what branch of the military obama served in?
First of all, american, no true American would be immature enough to ask that question as if it's the most important criteria for the job. Especially after what the dysfunctional W did to the highly-functional Kerry.
Second of all, MR. Obama (to you) served for many, many years in the Army of Common Sense, if you really must know. He therefore qualifies as a thinking grown-up! (He reads books, too --- oh my.)
Doesn't qualify as an alcoholic frat boy, who declared he was too busy to worry about Osama Bin laden, I know. Doesn't qualify as a greedy plutocrat sitting around in the cafes of Europe, who believes we should now start yet more wars in the Middle East, I know.
But President Obama does know how to LOVE! Here, let me define for you what that is...
@William: Did you serve at all? Just curious. You are so quick to point out no combat service BUT he at least served his Country. What about you?
Perhaps one day you idiots who think Obama has anything to do with this, will figure out our military and it's leaders are acting on their own to take out these scumbags! If they waited on the jerk-in-chief they would accomplish nothing good, just like he has.
Why do you think they call the pres. Commander-in Chief? He IS the leader of the millitary. Some people are like a box of hammers. Only good for one thing, banging their head on inanimate objects.
CT, let me get this straight... The US military acts independently from the Executive Branch? That's either the biggest news story of the decade, or you're just as much an idiot as those you criticize.
I think I know the answer here.
Out in 2012
2012 is going to be a wonderful time to come out, Mr. Accountability. Good for you!
Mr Accountability-2446281
Glad you've come out! Why did you have to wait until 2012?
President Obama is serving the military RIGHT NOW! Number one Person...the nation chose him to be number one.....even over ex military man McCain.......Ask Bin Laden and all his next in line guys how they feel about that...Oh that's right,...kinda hard to do when they are dead!
"Perhaps one day you idiots who think Obama has anything to do with this, will figure out our military and it's leaders are acting on their own to take out these scumbags! If they waited on the jerk-in-chief they would accomplish nothing good, just like he has."
Pssst The Military and it's leaders take their orders from Obama. If Obama ordered them to stop killing terrorist they would. When are you "anti Obama its the Military that does everything" going figure that out?
"hasn't accomplished anything" ? Don't you mean you don't want to give him any credit for his accomplishments? You simply refuse to see. Hey I have an Idea!! Tell us what the previous President Accomplished? And what your next great hope is going to accomplish?
The "Obama Apology Tour" strikes again.
american-2051576
remind us again what branch of the military obama served in?
One and done 2012.
LET ME REMIND YOU, that if not for JRs daddy, he would have tried and imprisoned for going AWOL
More propaganda from al-CIAda to keep the ignorant American sheeple supporting the fictitious 'war on terror'.
When are some of you going to do your own research and realize that the official 9/11 story was complete b.s and the evidence is overwhelming that it was a false flag event by the U.S./Israel.
Research would only turn up fools spouting nonsense that only other fools believe.
Your antenna needs an adjustment again! Either that or your tinfoil needs replacement.
Yeah... 9/11 never happened. The towers are still there.
All of the magicians in the U.S. are collaborating to keep them invisible.
It makes as much sense as the drivel you are spouting.
@Jeff34781--I guess you didn't know anyone who died prematurely on one of those planes. Lucky you. I heard there were conspiracy theorists saying the whole thing was staged by the CIA, or it was the Israeli's Mossad, or something else ridiculous, but I thought that must have been a stupid rumor. You should consider going back on your meds.
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Bush's CIA and military are getting these guys.........
^ Insane laughter of delusional GOP lackeys.
false flag event by the U.S./Israel.
^ Insane conspiracy theories from truthers and birthers.
Hate to break the news to you here sparky...
He's blaming GB2 for masterminding the 9/11 attacks to start a false war.
That would put him mostly in YOUR camp.
Send in more drones.
"I don't know where Bin Laden is, and i'm truly not concerned about it" - W Bush.
He should have added:
But someday a real American President will come along and kick Bin Laden's A$$, and when he does, my sore loser supporters will try to give *me* credit for it!
Yepper, bush2 realized that the shotgun approach trying to find bin laden wasn't working. Obviously since bin ladens courier was found on bush2's watch and eventually tracked to bin ladens compound under obamas watch, the argument of bush2 having given up is false. Interesting on how applied psychology works.
american
You keep telling yourself that. If it makes you feel better.
american (i still challenge that claim)
What! You still deny it? Even after hearing it from W's own cruel-looking lips?! (cruel lips, cruel heart) Such fortitude. Such tenacity. Such ... BALDERDASH! LOLOLOL
@ScommaG Seal team 6 kicked Bin Ladens ass Obama was not on the chopper! Nope 2012!!!!!!
President Obama gave the order to Seal Team 6. Bush would have tipped off Pakastan. Bush blew it at Tora Bora when we had Bin Ladin surrounded, and Bush had our Rangers hold off. Letting him slip away into Pakastan.
"@ScommaG Seal team 6 kicked Bin Ladens ass Obama was not on the chopper! Nope 2012!!!!!!"
And what? You think GB or Mitt, or any President, would have been? Who is on the chopper has nothing to do with who gave the orders. Personally I give them ALL credit
And yet ANOTHER Al Qaeda #2 person! This is what 4 this year so far. About 20 last year? I cannot believe there are Americans that still believe we can "defeat" these guys. The leader kills and body counts didn't work in Vietnam and to the even "somewhat" intelligent, they are not working now.
In the war on terror, how do we get the surrender agreement signed by them?
Didn't someone in the Obama administration just tell us a few weeks ago that the war on terror was over? I wonder if Al-Qaida agrees...and who won?
No, That was Bush dressing up in a combat suit on a destroyer telling us Mission Accomplished. Faux news lol
Joe Williams:
YOU WROTE (in reference to Bush's alleged "Mission Accomplished" statement): "No, That was Bush dressing up in a combat suit on a destroyer telling us Mission Accomplished. Faux news lol."
MY RESPONSE: You are incredibly ignorant! Maybe you should stop parroting the Democratic talking points and start watching Fox News.
Here is the unvarnished TRUTH: For starters, President Bush wasn't on a "destroyer" as you allege; he was on an aircraft carrier. So, you didn't even get that part right.
The fact is the crew of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln wanted a prominent “Mission Accomplished” banner hanging from the bridge of their ship (as a backdrop to Bush’s televised speech about the Iraq War delivered on May 1st, 2003) to laud their successful completion of a 10-month cruise (a normal cruise is six months); it had nothing to do with claiming that the military mission in Iraq had been completed.
Navy Commander and Pentagon spokesman Conrad Chun even said the banner referred specifically to the aircraft carrier's 10-month deployment (which was the longest deployment of a carrier since the Vietnam War) and not the war itself, saying "It truly did signify a mission accomplished for the crew.”
White House press secretary, Dana Perino, subsequently said "President Bush is well aware that the banner should have been much more specific and said 'mission accomplished' for these sailors who are on this ship on their mission." But such a banner would have been too long, too verbose, and too clumsy; nevertheless, the sailors knew the exact meaning of the “Mission Accomplished” banner, so they didn’t need a translator. It was the mainstream news media and biased partisan hacks, like you, who twisted the true meaning of that banner to fit their hate-based, anti-Bush agenda.
But to the assembled audience and the world, President Bush basically said, "…Major combat operations in Iraq have ended (referring to the conventional phase of the war). In the Battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed. And now our coalition is engaged in securing and reconstructing that country...In this battle, we have fought for the cause of liberty, and for the peace of the world. Our nation and our coalition are proud of this accomplishment - yet it is you, the members of the United States military, who achieved it. Your courage - your willingness to face danger for your country and for each other - made this day possible. Because of you, our nation is more secure. Because of you, the tyrant has fallen, and Iraq is free...The transition from dictatorship to democracy will take time, but it is worth every effort. Our coalition will stay until our work is done. Then we will leave, and we will leave behind a free Iraq."
Finally, according to CBS News senior White House correspondent Bill Plante, the president himself never uttered the words "mission accomplished" (far from it), but that point often gets lost in the passionate feelings about the war. The same point was made, in so many words, by ABC News reporter, Tahman Bradley. So, stop getting your spoon-fed, slanted “news” from the Huffington Post, and try to think for yourself. But maybe that's too much to ask.
Another one down. How many more to go?????????
Exactly! Now that Saudi Sakhr al-Taifi; this #2 is dead overdue, who is the New #2?
Word of advice to the people behind these stories. Maybe you should overview the stuff you write better if you want to lie to me. Case in point you claim the number 2 al quaida got killed this weekend but in the 2nd or 3rd paragraph cant tell which because the adds and the poor writing by your ignorant puppets, but the puppet writes "He frequently traveled between Afghanistan and Pakistan, carrying out commands from senior al-Qaida leadership," So is he number 2 or is he nobody make up your mind. Im sure a leader of al-quaida doesnt need to run errands such as you describe what do you think everyone is stupid that reads your articles. Now get back to work for your european masters and learn to lie better.
He was #2 in Afghanistan. Senior leadership would refer to worldwide leadership.
D to make it simple for you ill tell you this, If they know who the number 1 leader is and so on and so forth then why is there still a war or are you that ignorant to think these people who sold their soul to the devil to write articles and try to brainwash people know anything. Remember they get paid to write what someone wants you to believe its really that simple. If they spoke their mind and truth they would lose everything they have had handed to them by their masters taken overnight.
The operational guys in the field are the ones who get waxed. The figureheads just hide so they're harder to find and kill.
And what nationality was number 2? Was he Iranian? No. Was he Afghani? No. Was he Saudi Arabian? Bingo. Was he working with Pakistani officials? Double Bingo!
Are we going to have another U.S. operative up on treason charges in Pakistan? Bingo, Bingo, Bingo!
is that the little short fat guy? i'm beginning to get them mixed up. UAV seem to be working.
And #3 becomes #2, #4 becomes #3, #5 becomes #4 and the beat goes on and on and on. Time to pull the plug on this fiasco, bring the troops home and allow "blood 'n guts" Obama a final opportunity to attack the national debt and unemployment with the same vigor.
I just replaced the sewage ejector pump in my septic system. It's a mechanical device that pumps liquids up into a leach field that sits above where the concrete tank is. Wonder if some application of this theory could apply to Afghanistan and Pakistan? You know, isolate the sludge and then incinerate it.
Nato does something and people talk about obama and bush or romney. Just like the 3rd world people kept in the dark, you are all very very stupid. I only wish world war would break out just to get rid of you idiots.
Hi folks. Look, I just found Bob, but only in the picture file folder. If you see the guy in the left of the photo let me know. Doug.
Sadly, there will always be a number 2, or a number 1 for that matter. A predecessor always take takes their master's position after their death. The only thing we can do is kill them off until there are not enough for them to do much anymore.
Right. No one said it would be easy.
if a country was doing to us what we do in [pick one] we would have the utmost respect for those that resist. we make al quaida look like the girl scouts. besides how can anyone believe what the media says. the whole bin laden episode we saw obama clinton et al watching was staged. they werent watching nothin.bin ladin who is responsible for building 7. yea. no wonder there was no investigation. 2000+ dead and no police investigation. but sell a nickle bag of weed
Gotta hand it to them for a fluid corporate ladder.
