4 Pakistanis acquitted of helping Times Square bomber

Four Pakistani men accused of helping a Pakistani American who tried to explode a car bomb in Times Square were acquitted by a Pakistani anti-terror court on Saturday, the New York Times and other media reported, citing a lawyer and relatives.
Muhammad Shouaib Mughal, Shahid Hussain, Humbal Akhtar and Faisal Abbasi were arrested in Pakistan shortly after Faisal Shahzad tried to detonate the bomb on May 1, 2010. Shahzad later pleaded guilty and is serving a life sentence without parole.

The four had been accused of providing financial and logistical support.
Shahzad admitted traveling to Pakistan for training by Taliban fighters.

What did you expect from our good friends and close allies, the Pakistanis?

Let me add a bit more.

In the first place, why permit Pakis in?

In most of the non-Muslim nations, Muslims, especially Pakis are misfits.

They contribute to crimes, terror activities, misusing welfare measures and other places.

Amen...keep the paki scum out of here! Pakis are the lowest of the muslims, and the worst of the hate filled, corrupt, cruel culture of islam, liars, cheats, lazy, ignorant.

I'm just as angry as anyone else on these boards about the Pakistani GOVERNMENT's behavior, but there's no need to cast aspersions at all Pakistanis CITIZENS. Like every other country or culture, there is a minority that is decent, hard working, intelligent and embarrassed by what their government and right wing fanatics are doing in their name.

As for the 4 terrorists who were let free by their corrupt judiciary, the simple answer is to add them to the list of future targets for Predator strikes.

Surprise, surprise! The sooner we stop pouring financial aid into Pakistan the better. As a matter of fact, the same goes for the entire Middle East region.

Isn't life under Obama grand? ... for the Pakistanis? Why do I get the sense anytime Obama reprimands Pakistan or lobs a drone attack inside pakistan, he's giving a little "wink and nod" to them at the same time? Is it just me? I sincerely hope it is.

My feeling exactly! Who said your either with us or against us and let those against us in? It's amazing how we let our enemies kill us while we give them billions for what? We need to stop supporting terrorist organizations, starting with Pakistan.

The question of the 21st Century is: "Can we make an evolutionary transition from the abusive world domination model of international affairs that has dominated world power policy to a model that equalizes global power in a democratic way?" Marx said, "No, it takes revolution." Clinton and Obama say they think so. Republicans say, "Who cares?"

Sorry, CME, I overestimated your reading skills. My bad!

In the vernacular, what I said is: "Can the world transition from the dictatorial system of domination supported by the American greed machine without resorting to violence?"

      Marx said no.

      Clinton/Obama say yes.

Republicans like it the way it is.

      Is that easier for you?

All these complaints about Pakistani justice.... I have to admit though that if they were tried in the US, they'd have been found guilty. Even if they really are innocent.

Just remember: in 2008, during the Presidential debates, it was the Republicans criticizing Obama for saying that he would be willing to violate Pakistani territory to get Bin Laden. The situation came to pass, Obama violated their sovereign territory, and we got him. McCain would have (according to his own words) notified the Pakistanis ... who would undoubtedly have gotten word to Bin Laden.

The logic this administration uses to justify giving billions of our tax dollars to Pakistan is it's helping keep the radical muslims from getting control of their nuclear weapons! First of all the scientist who sold nuclear technology to "anyone with the money", was a Pakistan national and made a hero in that country! Second, Pakistan supports terrorists that kill American troops, and anyone American, anywhere! They knowingly hid Osama BinLaden, and put the man who helped us get him in prison for over 30 years!

Here's a suggestion to this administration.

Give all the billions earmarked for Pakistan to India. A country that has no terrorists ties, and has proven itself a true friend to our country.

Revoke all the work visa's of Pakistani citizens in our country.

Tell Pakistan that if we even get a hint that radical muslims are going to gain access to their nuclear weapons. We'll blow them back to the stone age, and make sure they never have that problem again! And you can bet your bottom dollar we'll get the full support of India!

Time to put a stop to Pakistan playing those in office for the fools they are, look at our domestic situation if you need proof of that!

Of course Pakistan would acquit them. Why weren't they tried in a US court? Oh, yeah, I remember. The trial would take six years and they would be given a slap on the wrist and sent home to become more experienced terrorists. Now, they are free to help Pakistan try to kill Americans in Afghanistan -- or apply for student visas and return to the US.

We should stop all aid money to Pakistan and stop issuing Visas to the Pakis to come here. The Pakis here are all a national security threat anyway and they should have their Visas revoked and be sent home. All of them. No more money and no more Visas.
