The koran or quran isn't religious material. It's an assemblage of mistaken identification to the moon god Lah along with other pieces from other religions added in, as opposed to the sun god Ra for example. When Lah became the main deity {out of 259 other deities several thousand years ago (incidentally one for each day of the ancient calendar year)} it began to be called 'the god' or al-lah. That's why the crescent moon is always associated with allah. Lah the moon god had four daughters and are represented as stars with the crescent moon. Above, below, to the left but usually to the right. Two or even all four daughters might be shown with Lah but usually only one. Muhammad Ibn `Abd Allāh Ibn `Abd al-Muttalib, of course, didn't know that Lah was derived from a pagan belief in a moon god. Archeologists were only able to discover those polytheistic roots in the last century or so. So Muhammad basically plagarized a whole lot of things from the Old & New Testaments, sewing together bits & pieces, and the rest he invented out of his imagination. Obviously this god-moon god cannot in any sense be accorded a serious equal co-partnership when addressing God. God is real, His roots are real and Lah the moon god's are just a pagan misunderstanding from long ago. 3000 years ago anyone mentioning Lah would have understood the moon god was being referred to. But after 2400 years passed Muhammad mistakenly thought Lah or Allah was a term to be used when referring to the real God when in actuality it refers to Lah the moon god. And there isn't a moon god or sun god or earth god, fire god, river god, fish god etc. Al-ra,of course, would be the god , the sun god if it would have become the main deity and Muhammad still wouldn't have known the roots of Al-ra were pagan. And Al-ra would probably be represented with a little sun. I wonder how many children Al-ra would've had? Boys or girls?

All you do gooders who want to appease the muslim world need to take a hard look about what they are doing to honor our religious values. To punish any of these guys for following orders is a crime within itself. Sometimes I feel now our leadership are becoming cowards and kissing ass to those whom hate us. The ones that were giving us problems over this were those whom want us dead. We give these countries billions of dollars and we build streets, power plants, schools, hospitals, fresh water, security, train their military, feed them, house them, cloth them, arm them, help them set up a government, etc...etc...... while they look for things/ways to be hostile against us. When animals over there burn both the US and Israel flag it is OK, but a book that tells the world to hate anybody not like them, is burned they get upset. These people should learn how to get along in a civilized society which they will never belong in. This was a hugely unfortunate incident and I don't think our military should be punished for it - it was not an intentional act of disrespect as far as we know. That said remember we invaded and occupied THEIR country and burned their holy book on their home ground.

If Muslims, or Hindus or Buddists or whatever invaded and occupied the US and then burned bibles I'm pretty sure there would be hell to pay for it, from many of you on this string. Still in reality while this incident angered and insulted Muslims everywhere, approximately 99.9% of them didn't go on a rampage, didn't kill anyone, were rational and understood it was an accident. Our government is so hypocritical. Of course, when the president is muslim , this issue is even more irritating. There was a story several weeks ago about 600 bibles being confiscated in Iraq because they didn't want them to "poison" the minds of the youth. They also burned a bunch of them. Isn't the Bible just as sacred to Americans as the Quran is to Muslims ? In this country, we respect freedom of religion. It was founded on that principle. In Iraq, they beat up and kill Christians. When Muslims take over a country, freedom of religion disappears. It's their way or the highway ! At the rate they are breeding, they will eventually take over Europe (they are already electing officials in some countries so how far away is it for them to take over a top spot ?) Once they are in control and have a voting majority, they can make any changes they want to. They are putting out 8 children per family on average and Americans average a little over 2 per family. At that rate, they will continue to gain ground and they don't have to bomb another single target. They will take over with sheer numbers. And, when your president bows to a Saudi King, what does that tell you ? Wake up and smell the reality.
