I've passed checkpoints that hinder Palestinian individuals' ability to travel to their jobs or anywhere, for that matter. I've seen how the land all of a sudden becomes more beautiful and kept-up when crossing from the West Bank into Israel proper. I've visited a refugee camp situated by the wall that divides the people of this region. I've also talked to Israelis whose stories don't match up with those of the Palestinians. In my opinion, there is a huge misunderstanding between the Israeli and Palestinian people. But one thing I do know is that innocent people are being killed all around. It's unwise to make judgments based on the media without actually experiencing the situation.

Why would God do that? You're missing much of those stories which include the why aspect, as well as the various merciful aspects to the accounts. We can't just pick and choose the parts we want to believe. In the case of the Amalekites, God had given them 200 years to do what was right. Instead, they chose to continue sacrificing children to Baal and various other gods. The merciful aspect of it is this, that the Kenites were spared because they showed kindness to the Israelites. He would encourage "the channeling of [Arab] students into technical professions, the physical and natural sciences. These studies leave less time for dabbling in nationalism and the dropout rate is higher." Koenig wanted to make it easier for Arabs to study abroad and harder for them to return and find jobs.
