A Special Series: What the World Thinks of US

NBC News speaks with citizens from around the globe, asking the question, 'What Does America Mean to You?'

What does the rest of the world think of the United States?

More than three and a half years since President Barack Obama’s election as the first African-American president and over 10 years since the 9/11 attacks – how do people perceive the United States and its role on the world stage?

Msnbc.com teamed up with our NBC News colleagues in over 10 countries around the world – from China, Thailand, Pakistan, Afghanistan, South Africa, Israel, the Palestinian territories, Egypt, Iran, and Germany, to the U.K. – to check the pulse on current perceptions of America’s global stature ahead of our annual Independence Day.

Not surprisingly, views were mixed.

In Pakistan, the United States has become synonymous with drone attacks; in China, American innovation is praised, but the idea of the U.S. as the “world police” is slammed.

Similar to recent findings by the Pew Research Center in their Global Attitudes Project, long-held perceptions about the U.S. being the world’s economic powerhouse are being challenged by China.

For instance in South Africa, many of the people our NBC News team spoke with in Johannesburg’s Soweto neighborhood noted China’s growing economic influence in South Africa and the region, but the United States was still seen as a model of racial harmony and praised as the “land of the free.”

As you get ready to fire up the barbecue and celebrate the 4th of July, see stories all this week from NBC’s News international reporting team including Chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engel, Ali Arouzi in Iran, Ayman Mohyeldin in Egypt, Amna Nawaz in Pakistan and many more.

well we could start by pleasing our allies, instead of mocking them, ignoring them, or helping "rebels" overthrow them.

We are nonger the Most Powerful Nation in the World. Sure, everybody has gotten the general idea that if 'War is declared on the United States' we will be very much pleased to kick ass. But, wher'd we go wrong? Vietnam, Korea? When I was learning about US History, I was taught that of all the Wars there had been, not once did the United States back down. Oh we may have not entered World War I until 1917, President Wilson had been trying to keep us neutral. World War II, President Roosevelt had been aiming for neutrality, then came 'December 7, a date which will live in infamy'. Korea, we really did not want to go, and were actually 'monitoring' the French soldiers. Vietnam - as far as I know, that war was the biggest mistake we ever had, and the first time we packed up and left, rather than fight.

The USA didn't 'just pack up and leave Vietnam', it inflicted horrendous suffering, death and destruction. People are still dying from Agent Orange Chemical warfare, probably more fierce and deadly than Saddam Hussein never had, as was the reason your War Lord G W Bush had suggested to the world he did have.

The first country you did invade was the then country called Tripoli, now the capital of Libya.

Your history lessons on American Wars need more classes and reading, even then, the truth may not be in the text books.

One massacre you did 'miss out' on was Rwanda, 900.000 people slaughtered, over a period of 100 days, but was that war?, then again Bill Clinton was probably busy with Monika hanging off the end of his D$@&.

The entire premise of this exercise is absurd. Do we really care what someone in Pakistan who willfully harbors terrorists thinks about the US or expect them to have an opinion worth listening to. The only ones we should be listening to are our allies. Much of the opinions about the US in these third world countries is based on the propaganda they are fed by their state controlled media. They often have absolutely no idea what America is really like or the real reasons behind the actions our government takes all they know is what their government wants them to know so their opinions are somewhat meaningless since they are completely uninformed opinions.

I would hardly call a popular uprising of the people of an entire nation as "rebels". America has had "its guys" in charge, in a few places. And those places have finally gotten their acts together, and they want their country back with their own leaders. They are not obligated to be in the US's hip pocket.

The U.S. has not done itself any favors trying to engineer society in other parts of the world. The West need to lead by example, and leave it at that. Only interfere when its crimes against humanity and warcrimes, otherwise stay out of it.

BTW, Pakistan and Afghanistan are harboring the terrorists the CIA created to fight the Russians.

While I in general believe in respect and tolerance of other nations and cultures, I could care less what their opinion of the U.S. is, especially when it comes to defending our nation against LEGITIMATE threats (that means I supported our initial actions in Afghanistan. Iraq? Not so much).

Much of the rest of the world hates the U.S. of A and has for a long time, and that hate is based on envy. They envy our success and they envy our freedom.

A growing number of Americans is joining them in hating us because they've decided we don't deserve our success and don't believe we deserve freedom if it means we aren't subject to their political viewpoint (and that second point applies to social conservatives as well as socialists).

My bottom line is I love my country and I love my freedom and I will be enjoying BOTH tomorrow and if my fellow Americans and citizens of other nations approve, great, but if they don't, that's just too damn bad for them !!!

In some ways, the view of historians who will look back on one, can hold a certain weight that various and disparate views of the contemporaries doesn't always hold. For instance, we don't view the fall of the Roman empire and the passage into the dark ages in quite the same way people of that era do. But then we also have the advantage of hind sight, as well as having evolved socially, from that era... Of course, and this said we don't exactly know what their books will contain however, or by what standard our descendents (not yet born) will be viewing/judging anyone by... It depends, perhaps in part on what world they inherit (what world we will have left behind for them)....

Course politicians in general don't tend to represent the people anymore (which in a representative democracy they should give some thought to)... But in all the thought about what this group thinks, or that, or who's pleasing who, some thought should be given to the future. Not that it helped Winston Churchill much in his bid for re-election after WW II; but history has tended to have a different take, after the fact...

There is however a difference with this, vs what many politicians also do, where they're totally dis-interested in representing the people, and instead would serve the lobbyists to the exclusion of all others. This self same histoy, can tend to forget those, they seem that insignificant after the fact....

What video clip were you guys watching? Not everyone was enamored with US foreign policy or willing to kiss our a** and tell us what we want to hear...That we are the greatest country in the world. That being said, what I heard was a group of people with very balanced, fair and nuanced opinions or our country. And these opinions were, by and large, fairly positive. Even citizens from countries that have a legitimate reason to dislike us tempered their criticism with a distinction between our government and "the American people". What I would tell Americans is to go abroad and get some perspective. People don't hate us, they simply want us to be better.

By Petra Cahill, msnbc.com:

More than three and a half years since President Barack Obama’s election as the first African-American president.

In the second paragraph the author of this article made a misstatement. President Barack Obama is a racially mixed person of a Caucasian Mother and a Negro Father. Legally, his race is Caucasian. It is not someone's physical appearance, it is their bloodlines. The Mother's race is the race of the child. Then again, perhaps he is a true African-American since his Mother was born in the USA and his Father was born in Kenya.

Before anyone tries to get me a hard time, I am NOT a birther.

Average people ,like you and I, completely around this planet, still believe what they believed a hundred years ago and farther, that THIS country has the right idea about humanity. Freedom. A disgrace we are currently letting our greed show at such a disgraceful manner. Obama is on the right track to fix it. With rightous educated voters at our booths, hopefully, WE can fix this dysfunction currently residing in OUR congress and continue this worlds inhabitants of respecting our USA.

Of course we needn't 'do whatever the world tells us' or whatever, but we damn sure need to be listening to the citizens of the countries where those who wish to attack us live. Lack of respect for others and not listening to the rest of the world is what has gotten us up to our necks in dead Americans. Keep it up and it will only get worse.

Make no mistake, if you attack us or harm Americans- I say blow the sick f%@k out of his socks. The respect needs to happen long before it gets to that point.

    @Homer Adams

The problem is most people only care about outer appearance and treat others as such. In the 3 and 1/2 years I read all the comments, most people think he is black and there are plenty of remark toward him being so.

Let's also look at the name, Hussein, that is all they care about and branded him as Muslim, need I say more?

    John in Battle Creek:

Apartheid was a system of racial segregation enforced through legislation by the National Party governments, who were the ruling party from 1948 to 1994, of South Africa, under which the rights of the majority black inhabitants of South Africa were curtailed and white supremacy and Afrikaner minority rule was maintained. Interesting how you belittle yourself in trying to throw an insult my way.

I could careless of the skin pigmentation of President Obama. I was pointing out the misstatement of the creator of the article. As far as being of color, all of the previous 42 presidents of the USA have been of color. Caucasian is referred to as being white, and white is one of the six (6) colors. President Obama should be judged for his performance regardless of his skin tone or perceived race. Anything less is an insult to him and the people that voted for him.

Cuong, names from the bible that are used are the "English" version of the biblical names.....which are basically Jewish in origin since it is a record of the Jews since the days of Adam.

My point is that Jewish names and Muslim names come from the Middle East, but are in no way synonymous. The 2 ethinic groups actually devided by when Abraham (of the Jews), and Lot (of the Muslims), went their separate ways. Lot's faith was rather compromised because of his dealings with Sodom and Gommorrah. (Nuff said on that point).

I love my country, but I don’t like the direction the country is heading in. A few years ago I spent some time in Eastern and Central Europe. People there are very unhappy with our governments. For years we have been preaching to them about democracy and telling them that’s what they needed. Yet, when they finally “freed themselves” and when they needed us the most, we were nowhere to be seen. We have let them down, like we’ve let many of our long standing friends down with our policies and behavior. Our direction in the last few years has been particularly confusing. I am not sure anymore what and who we stand for. Does anyone know!!?

The USA isn't even in the top 10 as far as Freedom where it concerns its citizens - but you are free enough to think you are #1 in freedoms.

Al Jazeera news is less coerced than American news - the number of Americans watching Al Jareera news has exploded. So you think this article wasn't edited to soften the views others have of us?

No country should ever stop trying to better its self - unfortunately the USA has gotten content with being the land of the self proclaimed Greatest, while its infrastructure crumbles. Would you tell your child that they are good enough and don't need to keep striving to do better?

As for the claim above that Obama hasn't created jobs - the current trend is to cut as many government jobs as possible, I didn't know Obama ran all the private corporations. That is a no win issue - if he increases government jobs, half the country claims he is giving out special treatment to the other half of the country... even though just as many from the complaining side hold government jobs as do those they point fingers at.

Much of the rest of the world hates the U.S. of A and has for a long time, and that hate is based on envy. They envy our success and they envy our freedom.

No, they don't *envy* Americans at all. They mock them, they laugh at them, they look at them w/ contempt & roll eyes at them, but they certainly aren't consumed w/ jealousy that they're not *successful* Americans, too, as you seem to think.

Our obstructionist Congress piddling around w/ stupid nonsense like DOMA & DADT rather than important matters has made a laughingstock of American *freedom*. Not to mention its adverse effects on the world economy. The blame for this recession is put squarely on the US. They're amazed that the US doesn't have what every single other developed country in the world has....health care available to all its citizens. They're astonished at both the idiots in Congress & the stupid American citizens who are against what they perceive as a basic human right. They think Americans do not respect human rights. They think our previous POTUS & VP should be tried for war crimes. Americans fortunate enough to travel abroad give the entire country a black eye w/ their loud arrogance & their foolish expectations that everyone will speak English & cater to them just b/c Americans think they're the greatest ppl on the face of the Earth.

It has nothing to do w/ *envy*.

Is any one else getting tired of the lefty a-holes hammering on the USA?

No, but we're getting mighty tired of the Republicans in Congress doing everything they can to hinder an economic recovery. Take a look around you. This country is a mess. They're doing nothing to fix it b/c their main concern (other than making sure Obama becomes a one-term POTUS) is ridiculous nonsense like opposing gay marriage & sticking their heads up vaginas in their attempts to banish birth control, abortion, & women's health care. Don't you think the rest of the world is as sick of this stupid @!$%# as we are? It makes the US look like morons, not the leader of the free world. The onus of this global recession is on us & our elected representatives are too busy dicking around on trivial matters rather than taking measures to rectify the economic downturn.

If ppl would realize this isn't *lefty v righty* BS, maybe we'd get something accomplished to polish up our sadly tarnished world status.

China will never be like America for the next 200 years the way america has evolved the past 200 years economically and commercially. it has a totalitarian form of government which its peolpe might someday change. 99percent of the countries they are now involved with are freedom loving people and freely elected government except a very few like ugly Mugabe. and for China to succeed like America has, it will have to metaphored into a democratic nation which is and will likely will not do. but it will have to change sooner or later if they continue to love money which again, contrary to the principles of communism. but today, china and its top leaders are what we now call " capitalist communist." figure that out folks. More than fifty percent of its top leaders are millonaires and own million dollar business and properties in the USA and in Europe such personal possessions prohibited by the form of government they do not even follow but force their people to.

@rc4121998, You can get out of just about anything you want to. Only you can change things for yourself. When I was young we were poor. I lived in rural america. I wanted to do other things in life, thins that that part of the country couldn't offer me. I, for myself went into the military, I am not telling you to do this. That dicission gave me the first rung on the ladder of life. I made a carrer out of the military, as I got a little older and wiser I grabbed myself some more education while I was at it. I've been around the world twice. Some times it's been nice and others not so nice. I wanted better in my life and I got it but it didn't happen overnight. Life is what you make of it yourself. My father couldn't make my life for me I had to do it myself. I left home with a suite case and $40 bucks. I disagree. Americans have this idea that we know it all. We are often like rebellious teenagers who refuse to listen to our elders - even when we make mistakes. The truth is that we are still young and could learn from other countries that have been around a lot longer than we have. The truth is that we do bomb other countries. The truth is that we do have poor science and math knowledge when compared to other countries. The truth is that we do have sky rocketing medical costs. The truth is that we have spent billions of dollars minding other people's business, when we really should be minding our own. So, why shouldn't we listen to what other countries have to say about us? Are we afraid of the truth?

The U.S. has created the world ted world we are living in when, at the end of WWIII .we determined that we would be top dogs in the world by virture of overwhelming military force. It alll proceeds from that.

America should be judged, also, by the good things she has done, historically. If the histories of Russia, China, Pakistan and other 'belly achers' are examined, the facts will speak for themselves. Certainly, the U.S. has had its 'dark days' but we are still looked up to mostly. Also, the idea that China is even close to us economically or militarily, as a 'power house,' is absurd. They aren't even in the same league. People's knowledge (outside of the U.S.) is generally pretty limited and their opinions are formed from yesterday's news, without any knowledge of our history and what we have done (over time) as a whole. The article is short sighted and by no means balanced. The people interviewed, generally, have no clue what America IS and has done for the world as a whole. Our efforts to stem world hunger and disease could NEVER be matched by the baby killing Chinese or morally the bankrupt Russian government of strongman Vladimir Putin!

Well put scar...but you forgot to mention our absurd gun policies. Yes, I said it. I'm totally cool with owning guns for hunting, and family protection, and even recreational target practice, but doesn't it make sense to prevent terrorists and criminals from buying guns. Does the general public really need all those AK-47's, armor piercing ammo, and expanded magazines? Do we really need to carry loaded weapons when walking around town, in bars, in banks. The NRA would have you believe it is your right. But, even the 1st amendment has some limitations for the public good, so should the 2nd. In Arizona, as we have recently learned, any 18 year old thug can buy as many weapons as he has the money for...and then sell them on the street to anyone who wants to buy them. Why is this sh!t legal? This is moronic and insane. nuff said.

To begin with, who cares what Pakistan thinks ? The Pakis claim to be our ally and take our money and then harbor Bin Laden, a corrupt government we are stuck dealing with to keep the peace.

At present the Republican front runner follows a religion started by the not so well known polygamist JOSEPH SMITH in 1834 in New York state. He has how much money in Swiss bank accounts ? He has how much money in off shore accounts ? He was involved with some very immoral financial dealings at Bain Capitol, along with the CEO of Domino's Pizza, think about that next time can't decide between Domino's and the local Pizza seller. He is building (built?) a "car elevator" at his new California mansion which replaced the former mansion that apparently wasn't good enough for him and his cronies.

He says things like: "The trees in Michigan are the right height".

He wears denim so the common folk (poor naive scared blue collar Republican voters) think he's "one of them".

Yes I wonder what the world thinks of us now with a Republican front runner who follows a religion that has "special" underwear that no one (especially Cher) isn't supposed to comment on.

Who but Mitt Romney is the current Republican front runner, and I wonder what the rest of the world thinks of us ?

I like the post (#1.29) that correctly brings up Congress's role in some of our issues, but then immediately falls into the trap of blaming a political party and one party's extremist agenda for gridlock, when it is political parties (as in plural) and two extreme agendas that are at fault because they'd rather DO NOTHING and blame the other side than take the tough road and hash out their differences to reach consensus and get something done for the American people and our nation. That's something I'm not particularly proud of this July 4th, but the good news is, those clowns are off !!!

As for the rest, those people "laughing" at Americans, "mocking" Americans, looking at Americans with "contempt" and "rolling their eyes" at Americans are doing so while wearing American fashion with American influenced hairstyles and listening to music with American roots . Hope they're happy for our annual celebration of the Birthday of our nation, and if they aren't... too bad, so sad !!

America has meddled with countries around the world and a lot of people died because of it. Dictators have been propped up to support American corporate interests (central america/dole) (shah of Iran/oil) and it has come back to bite America in the a$$. America had been paying 80 of the bill for the french war in vietnam and when the french were defeated at diem ben phu America couldn't stand the loss and so, kept it fingers in until they got burned.

People around the world remember when their friends and family are killed. Amerricans tend to forget. Here is a partial list: vietnam 3 million, cambodia 2 million, central america 100 thousand, iran 50,000, iraq 1980-1990 500,000, iraq 2003 500,000. There's more of coarse.

Body count when America should have been minding it's own business over 6 million dead.

This is a big reason why a lot of the world hates America.

I married an American and we live in the real land of the free and home of the brave, Canada. Personally I pity the majority of Americans. If Jesus were your president, you would have universal single payer health care, and that would lower your crime rate.

1 on 1 Americans are great people, but right wing greed is destroying your country and that is threatening to take the world down with it.

If you felt threatened by local gangsters, and ran around shooting off your machine gun in their general direction and killed innocent people in nearby homes - aren't you behaving like a criminal yourself?

Do others have to respect, tolerate or aid you in your overdone defense? What should your punishment be for killing innocents? If you are a foreigner in your own land, and your child were so killed, would you accept a payment from the killer and say: "Gee, I guess you were only trying to kill the gangsters. Too bad my baby was collateral damage. After all, I am not am American like you so obviously I couldn't possibly care as much about my child's death as you would about yours."

That is the US killing innocent people in Pakistan with drone attacks. Incidentally, the operators of the drones are sitting in comfortable, air-conditioned rooms at US military bases in Florida, Nebraska, and other safe places. They are, for all actual purposes, playing a computer game with real hellfire missiles paid for by US taxpayers to kill real people. Some probably give high fives when they blow up homes that might or might not have any bad guys in them.

Is it any surprise that the world is weary of our whining that we are not loved enough, that we are misunderstood, that we deserve to live in peace totally on our terms no matter what we do?

              Isn't that stupid?

Don't worry this election will save us from our idiocy. It's just as simple as electing Willard or Obama. Obviously I'm being sarcastic.

We need a full restructuring of how we view ourselves and the world, and it's not going to happen.

Vote the way you want to this November Americans! Won't make a damn bit of difference domestically or internationally. Both of these guys will keep the same policies we've had for 12 years, maybe even expand the government more or take on another war, all while digging the hole deeper.

              Hope...

...the only thing to hope for is a purge of D.C.

The question of what the world thinks of us is biased from the onset. Before asking this question, take away all the trillions of dollars we're sending to these foreign countries, then ask them. We pretty much buy our ability to do what we want, when we want. Even in Pakistan, when a drone attack takes place, their president always makes the same speech, sounding like he's mad at America for the strike, all along hiding behind the curtain with his hands out taking the American pay-off. You'll never get a truthful answer as long as we're putting money in the hands of these governments.

"That is the US killing innocent people in Pakistan with drone attacks"

Why do Pakis and their agents post these one-sided nonsense? Do you people imagine others are a bunch of fools and you people are the smartest in the world.

Hope you are in the real world instead of some Islamic religious Nazi hell hole.

In most of the Islamic terrorist plans and attacks all around the world Pakis have a hand.

Pakistan has been breeding, training and exporting Islamic radicalism and terrorism to most of the non-Muslim nations including the US.

Here rich Sunni Saudi, Kuwaiti, UAE and other ME bigoted and ungrateful and backstabbing sharks have been guilty of financing them.

Their hands are very much in 9/11.

Pakis and their agents have blasted huge numbers of people through different terrorist acts all over the world.

Were those not affected humans? Were they not innocents?

In Pakistan, first it was massive genocides of minorities from 48-50 as soon as Pakistan was formed.

Now the Paki Islamic religious madness has not ended there.

They are after Ahmedias, Sufis (fake love and dance Islamic soap opera people), Shiites and Baloochs and other minority sects.

While praying their mosques are blown to pieces on Fridays and even hospitals are bombed to kill those injured.

In Afghanistan, Pakis have backstabbed the US and NATO forces big time. Half of NATO forces deaths are due to ungrateful and backstabbing Pakis.

When the NATO forces were entering Kandahar in 2001, Pakis airlifted key al-Qaida, Taliban, ISI and others militants by back door from Kandahar.

This includes Mullah Omar, Osama and many including Paki Haqqani militant network leaders.

Hope you remember about Pakis sheltering Osama.

These Paki Islamic religious Nazis don't bother about their people and they are into reckless killing games in the name of jihad.

Drone attacks are not enough and to reduce NATO forces losses, Paki militant areas should be carpet bombed just like 1991 Iraqi war.

Also no Paki liability should be permitted inside any non-Muslim nation, especially the US.

It is time for the Paki Trojan horses in the US, UK and other places to get out at earliest and go to their beloved Pakistan.

They will be happy and we will be happier!

There are tons of holes in your argument. First off, putting a stop to all immigration would destroy this country economically. This country depends on immigration to quickly expand and contract its workforce as well as to boost a dismal US fertility rate. Immigrants, legal and illegal, often pay into our social programs far more then they can be contributed to using-- as most immigrants are in their prime working ages. Also our nation is secure, almost too secure. We're shielded from any real strife that many of the other countries in the world face. I do not agree with trading freedom for security.

Secondly, we don't borrow from China. Our debt works a little something like this; any excess debt gets written into bonds which are then sold at specific interest rates. Large investors and countries purchase these bonds which are backed by the full faith of the United States government. Any bonds that remain are sold in another round with a higher interest rate, and the process repeats until all the bonds are sold. Currently the fed are keeping interest rates artificially low by purchasing all these bonds during the first round, thus preventing any more bidding. Countries like our bonds because they can turn large amounts of their currency into the US dollar relatively easy, which is normally required to purchase petroleum and do business with our government. In short, you can't prevent China from buying these bonds, that would just be playing rudely and is generally required due to our large trade deficit with them.

So our economy is much more complex than simply cutting government spending- which would basically be committing fiscal suicide, or simply not selling our debt to a specific country. I find it funny this is such a hot topic these days when the truth is it doesn't matter.

1.illegal immigrants do not pay more than they use. the simple fact is that they pay income tax (which is taken out before it even gets in the hands of the employees) and little else. they work menial jobs and therefore can't afford healthcare and other things for their families, leading to them applying for federal aid. on top of that, they have this nasty habit of sending large parts of their paychecks back to their home countries, meaning that LITTLE IF ANY of their paychecks actually help america.

2.they boost the fertility rate? dude, that's not a good thing. thats a very bad thing. all that does is lead to more kids who have one parent homes, and who need to rely on government aid to live life. thats a fact. this is one of the big benefactors of americas problems right now.

              3. your wrong about not borrowing from china. your right about the bonds, but we do in fact borrow lots of dollars from china. ask Barack, he'll tell you the same thing. it's one of the things he wants to stop as soon as it is fiscally responsible for him stop borrowing.

              4. yah, cutting government spending obviously would hurt the economy. duh. when people say cut government spending they really mean redistribute the spending and stop uneccessary spending. which is something i think we can all get on board with. the thing to be discussed is what needs more/less money, and what programs need to go bye-bye.

then again why would any american citizen even like the goverment? they steal all our money though this tax system, such strict rules and laws you call this freedom? we have 25% of the worlds prison population, yikes! we have some of the most violence and murders and top of that were known as the country of racism, hate and attitudes towards others. didnt we have the blacks as slaves? but then again as one guy said, its not the public, its not american ppl. its our corrupt powerful, greedy goverment. the rest of the world probaly looks at our goverment as they are terrriost. we look at our goverment as a bunch of corrput ppl. and hollywood and the media will do anything to make the goverment look good. so some ppl watch it and think america is nice. then they come here and face reailty. it probaly is top 5 both in the world in human and animal rights violations. look what they do to the animals, confinment, pigs never even move a day in thier life. chickens caged. who does this stuff? greed.

@ RC Do you know why Mexican pot growers plant their harvest in US National forests ? Because our court system is much more liberal and humane than Mexico's. Did you know if you are caught growing pot in California the jail sentence is around 6 months, but in Mexico first they break your feet with rifle butts, and sometimes your hands, and if they really don't like you they break your teeth also. Good luck with that Mexican prison dental plan, hell if we don't even give dental care to our own veterans, do you think you'll get dental care in a Mexican prison ?

To top it off I heard 5-10 years prison for growing pot in Mexico.

                    1. Studies conducted in several major immigration hubs show differently, and they are also not eligible for financial assistance from the federal government. What states decide to do is a different thing. Sure, its no secret that they send some money home, but they are also responsible for bills and sustenance here so they do pay sales tax.

                    2. They supplement the US with workers in the prime working ages. They boost the US workforce since we have a dismal fertility rate. How is this not a good thing for growth?

                    3. The United States has a trade deficit with China; demand for Chinese goods in the United States far outpaces demand for US goods in China. Due to this we borrow Chinese goods, and then pay them later after the fact. Chinese then buys our bonds. It's far more complicated than this, but people should get the jist. We aren't going over asking China to print a bunch of US dollars for us to borrow, or begging them to send us some US currencies. Government Indebtedness solely results from bonds. This gives us leverage to provide more services to the American people. This is the way everyone wants it, the US government has been in debt 99% of the time since its inception. If this isn't how it works, please enlighten me.

4.Who are you or I to decide how to best spend the governments' money? I'm not making such a claim. We just can't up and cut it though, and I do not believe that when the majority of the people say to cut government spending they really mean to redistribute it.

I like #3. We have debt, we have the bonds that are due, overdue or owed. If you lived in your own house like the government does, spending money they don't have, you'd be foreclosed on, and be sleeping in tent along main street with the other unfortunate homeless groups.

The truth is, most of us stop spending when we have nothing left to spend outside our budget. If we have nothing in the cupboard because we decided on filet mignon instead of a couple pounds of hamburger, well we would go hungry. You can't spend what you don't have. The cuts have to happen. The worst programs first.

If you've ever run a business, you understand the way it works. In the slow time you keep the strong workers. The intermediate workers get less hours, and the slackers are cut. The same goes with your overhead, If you have a maintenance program (lawn, parking lot, aprons, dish towels,) you change over to self-wash products, making your employees responsible for their upkeep. (Health insurance, Clothing and food allowances, Cafeteria Plans, Uniforms). You change your marketing from the primary news slots, to secondary sources (tv to radio ads, newspaper coupons to door to door flyers, to personal marketing - your adds on your products- pens, papers, flyers, bags.)

There is no time like the present to be fiscally responsible. The cuts have to happen. It has to start somewhere, and SOMEONE is going to be hurt by the cuts. There are no two ways around it. You can't have balance, if you don't make it balance. I of course reccomend starting with a 25% reduction in the federally elected officials pay, making them responsible for their own health care plans, and removing the many various cafeterias from the halls of Congress. It won't hurt them to wait in line, or brown bag their lunch anyway. There used to be a saying, the BUCK STOPS HERE. Well If OBAMA won't make the cuts, then maybe the next guy will. It's time to balance the budget. Time to quit making bucking excuses, and catering to special interests. You know, kinda like you promised when you were getting elected MR. OBAMA.

                      Mr. R.

We don't have any bonds that are overdue man that would result in a default.

You analogies are something I hear a lot, but sometimes people forget the US government isn't like a household or even a business. They have no defacto credit limit; except for one that has been arbitrarily set by congress and raised ever time it's been required. Our households have a credit limit, you run up 10,000 worth of debt on a credit card and you're sinking, but the Government could run up 100 trillion dollars of debt and it wouldn't matter. Why wouldn't it matter? As long as other countries continue to use us as the consumers of the world, as long as our dollar is needed to purchase oil, and as long as our bonds are backed by the full faith of the US government and our dollar stays strong, there will always be a demand for the dollar and our bonds.

This is all regardless of whether we have nothing in debt or a 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 in debt. It just works differently than our households, as long as we continue to have no debt in anything that's not US dollars we're fine.

Well...they do in Europe, certainly. Barack Obama is consistently listed among the most respected world figures in the United Kingdom, and during the French presidential election, both candidates were boastfully comparing themselves to Obama for votes. Just about everybody I met in France when I was there were as obsessed as Obama as many Americans were in 2007/2008.

Then they get really shocked when you tell them that he's not very popular anymore.

Not only that, today I read (don't ask for a citation unless you really mean it as I am all over the web every day) that one of the European countries was praising Obama as moving in a good direction with socialist programs much like their own. I think it was France. My be wrong but the a$$ kissing was phenominal.

It's really a shame thet we remain worried about what anybody else thinks. When we start behaving for the good of the world instead of for the good of ourselves we will earn the respect we desire. As long as there is suffering here we shouldn't try to save the world. As long as there is hatred here we shouldn't impose our will anywhere else.

Why are we still trying to buy friends? They don't like us but they'll take the money. Pakistan is a perfect example. They want us out, and won't help fight terrorism but they still want the bucks. I see the Islamist Brotherhood in Egypt now thinks we're OK. I assume they've looked at the books and see they can't make it without the US handout.

                          It makes me sick.

Actually if you look at the trade deficit, we could make all of our own stuff here including oil and not have to worry about what the rest of the world thought. They would fall all over themselves trying to get trade back.

We screwed the indian, the blacks and anybody else we can get our hands on. We are constantly at war yet cannot secure our own borders! Our greed and corruption caused a worlwide recession. The USA is all about violence and we love it so much we kill our own to the tune of 14,000 americans per year! Two wars and possibly a third ????? I wish someone would occupy the USA and clean it up. How would we like some foreign troops on our soil? All one has to do is watch the news and even the hardcore NASCAR crowd should question our social ills.

The crap you read in the media is designed specifically to evoke a strong emotion in you, to keep you distracted from the truth..

And the truth? The USA isn't the evil, bigoted, warmongering country you've been led to believe. Granted that there are "interests" in the USA that can manipulate our system to their advantage (e.g. Oil companies).

We screwed the indian- that was trying to murder us...(your teachers failed to teach you the real reasons for American's attitudes towards indigenous tribes during the 19th century.)

...the Blacks...whom we freed from a system that was instituted long before we became a country..whom we freed with the blood and bodies of hundreds of thousands of Union soldiers...

We are constantly at war...really? Lets see...prior to 9-11, we went to war in Panama ('89), Grenada ('83), Vietnam (-'74)....constantly at war? In fact, if you add up all the years starting from 1912-2012, you will find that during the vast majority of it, we were in a de-facto state of "peace"....

Our greed and corruption caused a worldwide recession...really? that the World economy, based on oil, took a hit when world oil production ceased to increase (peak oil)...I'm sorry, what planet are you living on?

We kill our own to the tune of 14,000 Americans per year! Ambiguous at best. Exactly who is killing whom?
You need to unplug for a while, maybe go fishing for a few weeks where you don't have to listen to the trash put out by the media (liberal or conservative)...

IF someone ever tried a land occupation of the mainland US, they'd be running with tail between legs in VERY short order. They MIGHT be able to take the pansy asses in NYC, Los Angeles or Seattle, but they'd not make it much farther. There is no foreign military in the world with more people and guns than the US civilian population. Add our military to the mix, and it'd be over before it started.

The Aleutian Islands Campaign was a struggle over the Aleutian Islands, part of the Alaska Territory, in the Pacific campaign of World War II starting on 3 June 1942. A small Japanese force occupied the islands of Attu and Kiska, but the remoteness of the islands and the difficulties of weather and terrain meant that it took nearly a year for a far larger U.S. force to eject them. The islands' strategic value was their ability to control Pacific Great Circle routes

Like you wouldn't try to eliminate ppl who were stealing your home & your land? In case you missed it in your American history class, they were here first.

It was not OK to commit genocide for land greed....unless, of course, you are of the POV that the white Europeans who came to the New World were a *superior race* & that the indigenous peoples were mere bugs to be squashed en route to Manifest Destiny.

And the US govt should be ashamed to treat Indians w/ the same blase indifference today.

...the Blacks...whom we freed from a system that was instituted long before we became a country..

And which system we kept when we became an independent country, arrogant enough to term them only 3/5ths of a person. Plus took another 100 yrs to reinstate the Reconstruction era civil rights laws that were repealed b/c they were still thought of as not being people.

                                We are constantly at war...really?

                                Yes, really.

The American Revolution was followed almost immediately by the Northwest Indian War.

We were on the shores of Libya long b4 the 21st century in what became known as the 1st Barbary War; it was the 1st foreign war our fledging nation fought. For the noble reason of commerce, of course.

Followed rapidly by Tecumseh's War to sweep the Indians out of Indiana Territory, & the nonsensical War of 1812, which was fought for really no reason at all.

As soon as that was over we were meddling in Algiers in the 2nd Barbary War.

Andrew Jackson crushed the Indians & set them on the Trail of Tears in the 1st Seminole War.

For decades after we were involved in the Caribbean w/ anti-piracy *operations* & in Africa w/ anti-slave trader *operations*.

The Arikara War, the Winnebago War, & the Black Hawk War were the beginning of crushing the Indians on the Great Plains.

We undertook *exploring expeditions* in Sumatra, Fiji, Samoa, & New Zealand; just some savages killed there, who cared?

Texas was a Republic b4 it was a state; remember the Alamo? How do you think we ended up adding California & the Southwest to our borders? We fought the Mexican War for that expansion.

*54-40 or Fight*....we were willing to go to war w/ Great Britain a 3rd time over a sm strip of land in the Oregon Territory.

More Indian wars....the 2nd Seminole War, Navajo Wars, the Cayuse War, the Pitt River Expedition, the Apache Wars.

The US Navy bombarded Nicaragua & flexed its muscle against the Chinese in the Battle of Ty-ho Bay.

Yet more Indian wars....the Yakima War, the Rogue River War, the Puget Sound War, the 3rd Seminole War, the Paiute War.

2nd Opium War, *expeditions* in Paraguay & Fiji.

The US Civil War, fought simultaneously w/ still more Indian wars....the Dakota War, the Powder River Expedition, the Snake War, Red Cloud's War.

More battling in China; the Cochinchina Campaisn & the Shimonoseki Campaign, the Formosa Expedition. Plus *exploring* in Korea & Hawaii.

The Black Hills War, famous for the Battle of Little Big Horn. The Red River War, the Nez Perce War, the Bannock War, the Cheyenne War, the Sheepeater War, the Ghost Dance War, all against the Indians.

US involvement in the 2nd Anglo-Egyptian War, the Colombian Civil War, the Samoan Civil Wars, the Chilean Civil War, the Rio de Janiero Affair.

The Spanish-American War; remember the Maine? Netting the US the Philippines, Guam, & Puerto Rico. The Filipinos didn't much like that transfer, so there was another war w/ them immediately after.

US involvement in the Moro Rebellion, the Boxer Rebellion, the Mexican Revolution, the Nicaragua Campaign, the Haitian Campaign, the Dominican Campaign.

World War I. Followed by US involvement in the Russian Civil War.

                                World War II.

The French Indochina Wars, the Korean War, the Laotian Civil War, Vietnam, Operation Blue Bat in Lebanon, the Bay of Pigs in Cuba, the Cambodian Civil War, US invasion of the Dominican Republic & Grenada, the Lebanese Civil War, bombing in Libya after the Gulf of Sidra Incident, the Iran-Iraq War, invasion of Panama.

The Gulf War AKA Desert Storm, Somali Civil War, Bosnian War, Occupation Uphold Democracy in Haiti, bombings in Afghanistan & the Sudan, Kosovo War.

And let's just lump everything after that into the ubiquitous *War on Terror*.

You're either naive or unacquainted w/ US military history to think the US is hardly ever at war. We are hardly ever at peace. We have been almost continuously at war since the founding of this country.

Our greed and corruption caused a worldwide recession...really?

Our Congress is certainly stalling a recovery assist. What do you think happens when *the greatest nation in the world* takes a credit hit & is held hostage by a Congress who refuses to raise the debt ceiling once under Obama when how many times did they do it under Bush 2 w/o a fuss? 8?

Scar ...If you knew anything about native American history...you would know that natives were committing genocide on each other long before whites showed up. Pick any tribe and you will find they took each others land by force. All tribes lived by the rule of survival of the fittest. They were all raised in warrior societies. Boys were trained immediately to become warriors right up to manhood. The natives had a political structure in place where upon the more kills, or strikes against their enemy the higher esteem they had among their people. Taking of scalps, complete heads, and captives was a process to show proof of the feats. They were given special markings, like eagle feathers to wear to show the higher esteem among themselves. Documentation of archeology and eyewitness accounts proves the of taking captives and torturing some or all and killing them. Some were kept as slaves to replace family members they lost in sickness or battles. Sometimes cannibalism was practiced. They took land (hunting territories)from each other without treaties. Sometimes they did make treaties between themselves but I never found a treaty that one side or the other ever kept. In short...no matter what the color of skin...All mankind is the same. It is a romantic false view of natives just sitting in the woods playing flutes and making dream catchers. Survival of the fittest was the only law. Natives committed genocide on everyone they came in contact with. They did the same as whites......but when it came to fighting whites....they lost.

When we take up arms it is to defend our families, friends, and countrymen. Most people do not take war lightly nor do they have hind sight. History is written by people who most of the time were not there. I will not imply I am endowed with inalienable knowledge about why people kill. I do know some just do it for no reason at all. That is what I have learned from history.

With an attitude like yours we are much better off if you leave the country. Instead of staying and trying to do something positive to help, you'd rather whine and run away and hide. You think Canada or someplace else is perfect you got another thing coming. I love my country and have shed my blood for it, but at least I realize that it has faults like anyplace else, and do what small bit I can to help. Can you say that? Somehow, I doubt it.

I think I might have an idea. The media is so in love with poll taking, let them hit all 195 of the other countries on this rock we call home, ask one simple question "Do you like America?". Then once we get a full count from said polls, crunch the numbers and if there is a country who has a 40% or higher dislike for us, we stop any and all aide going to that country be it friend or foe. If they have between 25%-39% dislike rating for us, then we reduce aide to those countries by 75% and if their rating falls between 15%-24% reduce all aide by say 50%. Anything lower than 15% is acceptable, because face it, at least 15% of our own country men hate what America stands for just because that don't have anything better to do. The money we would save in the long run would be enough to help secure our borders, fix our issues here at home and make us the super country we are. Oh by the way if you are part of that 15% or so self hating group here in the states and you are getting government assistance, guess what..... the gravy train just dried up. You want to bite the very hand that feeds you, you get NOTHING!

This coming 4th of July will mark America's 235th birthday and in the grand scheme of it all. we are still a young nation but we have done more to further the good in this world than any other nation. Yes, I am being EXTREMELY BIASED when I make that statement but what would you expect from a very PROUD AMERICAN. Our blood, sweat and tears have done more to improve the lives of other nations than we will ever get credit for. Sure we have stumbled here and there while doing this but as a whole, we as a nation should stand proud with our head held up high because we have NO reason to look down in shame.

Oh, one more thing.....ustupidamerican, if you don't mind, I would like to walk to the border and give you a swift kick in seat of your breeches to help you cross into Canada but then again, I seriously doubt they would have urstupidamerican a**. Try France, those frogs have been hatin' on us every since we pulled their chestnuts out of the fire back in '43-'44.

So there are countries and peoples in this world that hate us! Ummm, then why the hell are we swamped with immigrants and people standing in line to come to live in the USA? Apparently it's the mid-eastern and especially the muslims who dislike the US the most, and yet they are beating down our doors to get into America! And while they are here they contribute nothing, only demand aid and support and our acquiescence to their customs and religions. If there is some country that hates us, perhaps we should gladly oblige them by sending every one of their people home, stopping all our foolish and generous aid and letting them go to work for a change in their own failed country.

If USA would stop interfering with other countries business and stop US civilian's jobs closing out or moving to other countries, it would be so much better in USA. Plus control population growth for to much to support means higher prices on EVERYTHING needed...... But knowing how greedy US government and people are, USA is ruined anyway...

Both of you parasites, just stay out of the USA then and stop mooching off our financial and military support. Overpopulation is not an American problem - our only growth is immigration. You people have the overpopulation problem.

If you don't like America, stay out and stop accepting our money.

The media outside America potrays the US and their close allies as the badguys Empire and everyone else as the goodguys Rebel Alliance. Though it was more convincing when Bush was still in office. Dick Cheny is twice as scary as Darth Sidious. I mean how many heart attacks can a guy get and still live until you're considered immortal.

The pulse of the USA is alive and beating in this forum ... how quickly we pounce on anyone with ideas that don't fit the model of US perfection. Seriously, when I see comments stating that the US is the greatest and only country worthy of existing in the world, I shudder. When, someone mentions they wish to leave the oppression of the US system, they are ridiculed, belittled and ostracised for being unpatriotic ... as if the USA is the ONLY country where life matters. It's so one-sided, it's embarassing and shameful ... no wonder the world sterotypes the USA as being full of single toothed, back-woods rednecks with a combined IQ of 17.

Who gives a flip about what anyone thinks of us? Do you think Russia, China, France, Japan or any middle eastern or African country cares what WE think of THEM? They don't like us, don't come visit or try to immigrate. We have plenty of people around the world who visit or move here because they like what we have to offer. The rest of em? Not worth worrying about.

We need to forge better friendships with our true partners - not just military allies, but partners - like Canada and the UK. The rest can piss off.

Well....it looks like others Nations are seeing the same thing we are seeing, Cops beating us down.

When I was 10 ( I am 52 now ) so, 42 years ago I could sell cool aid on the street corner and Police Officers...NOT storm troopers, would pat me on the head, be nice and buy some cool aid to help our cause, whatever our cause was at the time.

Now...if a child tries to do that, all crap hits the fan. You cannot do what you used to do. People from my generation really see that to be true. I am sure others do as well, but it is very clear to us who grew up in the 60s. Everyone can see our position pretty clear, but old people like myself, see how the Government and laws have really changed, since we have been children. People born in the 70s or 80s see it as well...but were not physically there in the 60s like we were.

I am not saying all cops are bad. The cops here in our state are actually pretty cool and pretty nice, but this is a small town, not a major city.

What people are seeing happening is that cops are becoming very abusive and they get away with it. I am all for beating down criminals, but...I am not for beating down protestors that are peaceful.

Cops have hard jobs, I understand that...and it is stressful..BUT, they have to learn not to throw everyone in a large pot and think we are all criminals. It scares the heck out of us when we all see the storm troopers tear gas protestors, shoot them with rubber bullets and beat down females or anyone they want to.

There are good people and there are bad people, we all understand this ( you know this MAN !! ) But, our country is being terrorized by its own people in places of authority. If we want to make this country great...like it once was, we have to support one another, be nice to one another and vote idiots out of office.

When our Government monitors us with drones, taps our phone calls, beats its people down, film us from camera's on stop lights, uses the patriot act to over ride the Constitution and many more things...then people...there is something very wrong with this picture. We are NOT the enemy, WE are just trying to survive in an economy that does not work for anyone of us.

Why are we searched in Airports and run through scanners. Why are African Americans always targeted..( I am white and I do see this ) it is unfair and racial. We are NOT terrorists, but we are treated as such though. We all know that what I am saying is true, but...we are terrified to do anything about it. We are out armed ( Out gunned ) we are not powerful enough to do anything about it, except complain. We are stuck in a system that controls every move we make. We can't speak our minds without offending someone, we cannot spank our children to keep them in line, to become good people when they grow up. We cannot protest without getting beat down. Everything is monitored, scanned, logged into computers, catagorized, easily refrenced, filmed from stop lights, filmed in stores, watched, told on, told to speak politically correct, fight, phone calls monitored by the N.S.A. scanned at Airports say anything without getting into some kind of crap, etc, etc, etc.

That is our Nation in a nutshell. We either live with it, or fight it. I am SURE we will live with it though, because fighting is to hard right now, we are just trying to support our families, and we can't even do that because of the economy. The Government does not want us to pay our taxes to them, if they did, we would all have jobs, but everything is out sourced. What a GREAT Nation we live in. We are all just waiting for the next hammer to drop on all of our heads.

We fought for this Nation to make it what it used to be a couple of hundred years ago against the Britts. We don't have any fight left in us any more, we are all tired, frustrated, beat down, mad as heck and our butts are sore from all the B.S. What A GREAT Nation we live in. Our bosses are all insane lunatics,
I am speaking about our Government.

I believe that only God is the only one who can save us all. Our fight is gone and so is our will. The only thing we can do is complain...and we get in trouble for that, as well. WOW....I want to be a U.S. citizen, little do foreigners know, how our Nation really is and what it is. Freedom by illusion.

God be with all of us.

All done to serve the for profit prison industries, the bloated inane monopolistic hospitals & other medical services, and the various industries that supply & feed them. Recently, here in the Pittsburgh area, a father was charged with child endangerment because he transported his child to the hospital, instead of calling the Paramedics that feed the hospital with patients and the hospital's $30,000 life flight transport. This is the sanity, the percentage of Americans imprisoned has been reported as greater than any other country in the world. Looks like some severe human rights violations are occurring on the home front.

That's about as nuts as the recent offering where (in addition to other charges) a parent who came home to find CPS called on her was charged w/ not providing the children w/ air conditioning b/c it was in the middle of a heat wave.

Seriously? It's now a crime to lack a/c in your home if you have kids? That's considered *child endangerment*? I can't wrap my head around that.

I also remember buying any size soda I wanted, smoking a cigarette if I wanted to, my dad lighting off fireworks in our back yard, working on our neighbors farm and having the farmer supply a beer or 2 after work. Try that today and you will be arrested. This is no longer "the land of the free".

How many people were included from Cuba, a tiny country that makes up an insignificant fraction of the world population? No one from Russia, France, Brazil, Turkey, Japan, etc. etc. This report is truly half-assed in every sense of the term.

The entitlement crowd with their imaginary "evil corporate" blame for everything and whining about the 1% and "what's in it for me?" attitude contribute nothing. This country won't last long if we all keep looking for the government to "take care of us" and figure the rich will pay for it all. There aren't enough rich people to go around. Step up and support yourselves - that message goes to the world, and nation.

I'm considered to be a world traveler among my peers, and I have to state that there's an awful lot of positive feedback from those that were interviewed. I've been to many places. Some where you would never want to openly state you're an American, and others when you state that you are, you are greeted with hospitality and gratitude. For the most part most folks could care less about America unless it effects their daily lives. And in most developed countries, this is not necessarily a factor. My experiences has led me to conclude that 80% of the people I've come across had nothing but good things to say about the American people, it was the American government however that took the grunt force of their negative views. Almost everyone I ran into didn't have many good things to say about the American government.

                                                    And I don't blame them.

I grew up living all over the world and then traveled for much of my career. Sad that we are a country with such history and incredible potential, yet we take it for granted and misuse the credibility and power we spent generations building just to squander it on arrogance and willful ignorance of the rest of the world. We used to garner a greater respect from other countries. Yes, in some places we are still envied, but that is changing.

We should be able to do better.

If Americans gave up the idea that our way was the only way and that everyone had to do things the way we do them we would have much more influence over world affairs. Our arrogance and lack of restraint in using millitary force wherever we feel its needed is the best way to hinder our influence.

This country used to be respected amongst world opinion. Ever since OBAMA sat his lame ass in the Oval Office, this country has become the laughing stock of the world! OBAMA is dangerous to the future security and well being of this country and therefore need to be FIRED this NOVEMBER!!

oh yeah... that's right you tell 'em Tomkat. That's exactly why 7/8's of the nations when asked, to join us in Iraq said "no thanks". But sure, if it makes you feel better, keep on blaming it on the black guy.

Tomkat.....you made that up!.......There are so many polls out there that prove your nonsense wrong. I agree Obama is dangerous alright, just ask Bin Laden or those pirates...or all of the rest of the terrorists......go ahead and get some scuba gear and ask them!

Pure BS. Like GW Bush didn't ruin our country and cause a wave that went across the rest of the world. How ignorant!!!! Iraq didn't have anything to do with 9/11 per the 911 Commission. Mission accomplish was more BS as well as WMD. Don't even try to blame this President for that crap. Read, use google and get a GD education.

You want the world to think of the USA as being fare and just? Stop unconditionally supporting the #2 sex slave nation in the world, and the nation with the most UN resolutions against it ISRAEL!!!

But that will never happen because you fools will keep on voting for pro Israeli hacks. You love the fact that while we are in a deep recession we are cutting food stamps, medicare, money to community health centers, but giving Israel an extra $20,000,000,000.00 in aid all in the same month! You love getting your news from people like Wolfe Blitzer, a former Israeli lobbyist.

Ask the next person you meet running for office about this, ask them why? Ask them why a little nation of six million gets aid at a time when we refuse to give it to our own? Ask them why a dirt poor nation like Haiti gets about $70,000,000.00 a year in aid from us, but a wealthy nation like Israel gets many times more. Then remind this person which one is in our own backyard. Ask him why the company that made defective body armor for our military got off? Then tell them that the owner of this company is a dual citizen Israeli. Ask them about the company that made the defective helmets for our military and why when they were facing charges they fled to Israel and have stayed there safe and sound? Then ask them about the attack on the USS Liberty and Admiral McCain's role in it.

"we invaded Iraq for Israel, and everyone in Washington knows it"

We know what UN resolutions mean, squat. The UN is the most corrupt organization since the 1920's Chicago police department. All decisions and resolutions by the UN are corrupt in nature as is the 3rd world country leaders running the UN. So don't give me that "UN resolutions against Israel" crap because I know better. You anti-Israel, Islamofacistnazi loving zealots sit here in the western world enjoying the politically correct environment and the land of mediocre where everyone is a winner while the Jews sit through rocket attacks that terrify their children. So when you say we invaded Iraq for Israel, I say "SO WHAT". I would rather help Israel a thousand times over than piss on a Islamofacistnazi if he were on fire.

WOW, Robert... You sure did rebuttal all my facts with good ole' fashion truth, if that is what they call main stream media spoon fed opinion... Yeah, right, so what all those young people and hard working folks in the military died or were wounded for life for Israel... Maybe it should have been one of your kids that had this happen to them???

Now, since you know so much about how the UN works I'm sure you already know the most powerful voting block in the UN is that of our closest ally, Brittan... Yes, right, and you know why don't you, Robert? Because about 50 nations in the world recognize the queen as their monarch. Oh, I know, Robert, I know... The pro Israeli media tells us it's the Islamic voting block, but we know the truth don't we, Robert... It's just that you like seeing young Americans come home dead for Israel.

Rockets, oh, yes, the rockets... Rockets against multi million dollar weapon systems given to the Israeli's at US tax payer expense. You could never be more right about that one... Now lets talk about the kids that die at the hands of Israelis. Like the one that died a few years ago at a check point. She died of a ruptured appendix. The Israeli guards watched her die, they thought it was funny.

I wonder what you would do, Robert if the Israelis came and told you that you had to leave your home? A home that had been in your family for generations, on land that has been in your family even longer. What would you do as they dragged you and your children out of it and bulldozed it to the ground? I bet you would stand there cursing the Islamofacistnazis while quoting scripture... "God will bless those who bless Israel"... Want to make a difference, Robert? Go live in Israel, go die for it, BUT STOP SENDING OUR MILITARY TO DIE FOR YOUR MASTERS!

Should I assume, Robert that when you talk about Islamofacistnazis you are talking about people like the Shaw of Iran? You know the guy, right? The one we put into power after throwing out the rightful leader of Iran just because he wanted to use some of Iran's money to pull his nation out of poverty... Is that the Islamofascistnazis you're talking about, you mental midget?

Everyone should Google 'Rachel Cory'... 'AIPAC'... "It's a Trick, We Always Use It." (calling people "anti-Semitic") and the 'USS Liberty'... Read all about our greatest ally, and #1 aid recipient, Israel... Don't be a zombie retard like Robert... If Robert was half as smart as he thinks he is he would know the USA has become a Racist state.

                                                        "Fascism is really corporatism."

Man O man Nancy, I sure hit your button. Keep your panties out of a twist and listen up silly. Your argument and rant is futile at best because the Islamofacistnazis are and will always be a bunch of animals in need of discipline and control. They are like you in a way, a petulant little child in need of a continuous spanking. Always wanting attention and when he doesn't get it, someone gets hurt or in this case insulted. So go back to kissing that Arab ass you like so much and quit humping my leg. Ciao.
