Reporting from the embattled Syrian city of Homs, ITV’s Bill Neely says it has become clear that the rebels can strike at the capital at will. They’ve burned cars belonging to judges and lawyers of the highest court; it appears the war is edging closer every day to the president himself.
Meanwhile, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad remains defiant. He told Iranian television that external pressure hasn’t had an effect on him and that “No one but us can solve the problem.”

Assad might as well pack the toothbrush.
Assad's regime is a cruel dictatorship. He deserves to die violently at the hands of those seeking freedom. Unfortunately, the Syrian people will just march blindly into the theocratic yoke of Islamic fundamentalism as soon as they depose Assad. They will neither seek nor find freedom. That seems to be the pattern that is emerging in the ME.

Many are imagining from their own world just like before Iraqi and Afghan wars! Why are they now?
Just as they can't do much baby sitting in Pakistan, even the lobbyists, oil company agents, bankers, manipulators can't do much about Sunni Saudi bigoted barbarians responsible for mess in most non-Muslim nations.
If atrocities and barbarism on girls, children and women are the criteria, then the most despotic, autocratic and bigoted Sunni Saudi ruler with his 5000 princes and princesses, Kuwaiti, UAE and other Arab League Sunni rulers and their rich sheiks are the biggest culprits in the history.
In killing of opponents again, these people have established world records.
If the US, Britain and others support such Sunni barbarians and beasts who treat girls and women as cheap sex slaves, then one can only conclude that Saudis, oil companies and their lobbyists determine what to see, how to lecture and where and when to act.
Rest like “human rights”, “killing of children and women”, “militants”, “terrorists”, “WMDs”, “chemical weapons” and so on are a pure hoax.
Similar hoaxes were played each time before Iraqi wars on directions of Saudi, oil companies and their lobbyists.
Now none of them are looking into Iraq, where at least a million have been killed and devastated.
Some are experts in running away from problems! They know only how to invent problems.
That is true Assad. No one but Syrians can solve the problem. So, as you, a Syrian, take support, weapons, and men from Russia, China, and Iran to repe, kill, torture, Syrians, the Syrians fighting back will take support, weapons, and men from Lebanon, Turkey, and the West. See. A Syrian problem. A Syrian solution. And in the end, the Syrians will win, and you and your pretty little wife will be hung by other Syrians. You are absolutely right.
Hopefully assad will be killed and Syria can move on. The assad family should run while they can. Death is just around the corner and it is not gonna be stopped. It's time to move on and get a job like the rest of the world.
