Luka Magnotta, the Canadian porn actor suspected of killing and dismembering another man, made his first appearance in a Montreal courthouse. CBC's Peter Akman reports.
The human head discovered in a Montreal park during the weekend belongs to Chinese student Jun Lin, allegedly dismembered by porn actor Luka Rocco Magnotta in one of Canada's most gruesome slayings in recent memory, police said Wednesday.
A Montreal police spokeswoman said medical tests showed the remains were those of Lin and confirmed local media reports saying the body part in question was a head.

Lin's hands and feet were mailed to the offices of political parties in Ottawa and to schools in Vancouver, while his torso was found in a pile of garbage. His head had been missing until late Sunday.
Information obtained over the course of the investigation led police to find the head in Angrignon Park, a 110-acre green space in Montreal’s Ville Emard/La Salle district. The park has several densely wooded areas and is just a few kilometers from Magnotta’s apartment in N.D.G.
Investigators say Magnotta, 29, posted a video online showing him having sex with the dismembered corpse. A second, unedited version of the video seen by police shows him eating parts of the body. Police say Magnotta and Lin were in a relationship.

Lin was a chinese gay man that was killed and partially eaten by his ex gay lover, hence making him chinese food... and his head was only recently found which would be the reason for the heads up.
Explaining these types of comments takes away from the impact however. It is much better if the reader can think about it for a moment, draw what they may, and use a little common... err.... never mind.

Thank goodness the parents can now bury their child and move on as best as possible.Without the horrible thought that parts of him are still somewhere left to be discovered. As far as this killer who took him away from them, he is altogether beyond any possible reach of true human justice. One can only hope that when he finally leaves this existence there will be a very special place where individuals such as he who are broken can go to. I think it is shameful that msnbc would dishonor Mr. Jun Lin's memory by referring to him as "porn actor's victim". How awful is it that will extend the fame the killer seeks by quoting his name and not of Mr. Jun Lin. Rest in Peace sir.
This case is beyond disturbing. This man truly has a sick mind, and will easily get an insanity plea. He's from Canada, so he will be sentenced to a mental hospital for the rest of his life. My condolences to the family of Jun Lin, to lose their son and to know how horribly he died and how his body was mutilated and desecrated.
What is interesting to me is that none of this individual's deviant behavior is being blamed on his race. Nor should it be. But if you read some of the comments about the black guy who ate the homeless guy's face, he was being called all sorts of racial slurs and his behavior was because he was black in comments of some. Why the double standard?
Because whites are the most racists animals on the planet.

It doesn't note in the article wether the deceased was male or female. Being that the killer is a good looking male porn actor, more likely than not, he was gay.
As a gay man, I am highly disturbed by this event. I suppose mental illness or defect is a non-discriminating event.

It does say 'his torso' and 'his head', etc. in the article, referring to the victim's body parts. This has been in the news for a few weeks already but perhaps you've been otherwise occupied, so most readers likely already know this.
Agree with you that an entire category of people should not be based on one individual's actions.
