One of the U.K.’s richest men has reportedly been arrested after his U.S.-born wife was found dead at their home.

Hans Kristian Rausing, 49, heir to the multi-billion dollar Tetra Pak fortune was being questioned after his wife, Eva, was found dead of unexplained causes, according to ITV News.

He was earlier being held on suspicion of possessing drugs. Police found his wife’s body when searching their Chelsea, London, home after his drugs arrest, the BBC reported. He was then re-arrested over her death.

In 2008, the couple faced legal trouble after crack, heroin, and cocaine were found in their home.

Tetra Pak has close to 22,000 employees, based in 85 countries. Rausing’s father, Hans Rausing Senior, is reportedly worth an estimated $10 billion.

All that wealth and still messed-up

Money does not buy happiness, rather it buys "comfort" and as many drugs as you want.

What a moron. There is no excuse for getting caught when you have all that money. He can't even spend a small amount of money to cover-up the death of his wife, how in the world is this idiot going to run a multi-billion dollar business?

MPV,

No being a moron had nothing to do with it--could it have been sheer arrogance, which seems to come, more often than not, with uber wealth!

Money doesn't buy happiness? I imagine this is coming from someone who has none. I have plenty of it (worked for it, not inherited) and I get up everyday and go to bed every night with a smile :)

You won't for very much longer, and the rest of us will be laughing our @$$ off.

After a while, the only thing money will get you is a noose. Especially if you say that to someones face.

Yes, you cannot buy happiness so guess he has to rent it and mope about with a huge pile of money. Oh wait, is that cocaine and heroin? Hmmm, I wont amount to anything even with this cash so I may as well do a bunch of dope.

Looks like money cannot buy brains either.

So Eva was a spoiled rich chick who married within her means

The couple was taught money was the way out of trouble so why bother learning morals.

In the End they both get what they worked for in life.

A lot of people are commenting on how could anybody be so rich and so eff'd up, or be so stupid as to get caught.

Me? I'm just glad he was that dumb, and that he appears to have left a trail that blind bloodhound, or the keystone cops could follow.

If you can't find enough to do with all that money than shove it up your nose, butt, and other holes, then it is not the money, it is the person who is raised to be so selfish and to believe that they are entitled because of the money and therefor can do anything and money will always be your get out of jail card.

But for the average rich person, money can and often does buy happiness. Those people know how to give of themselves, know and respect the world and themselves. So having enough money does not make them selfish and feel entitiled.

But we all know that this guy will get off by being sent to a upscale country club prision.

Now if we could get all of the rest of the ultra-rich globalist scum who have ruined the worlds economy for their own greed to OD too - we would all be better off.

Just sayin' if you're not going to base the story on her, but on the husband, then change the headline!

Yoshi, that's first comment that was not slamming them for being wealthy, calling them stupid, because the fact they were ultra rich. You guys are so quick to judge them. These people are obviously serious addicts and I assure you, they were not happy people. There are no happy opiate addicts or crack addicts. People turn to that stuff when they are trying to make something inside themselves disappear. And yes they already know it will only make it go away for a short while but it will go away NOW! Addiction is a horrible condition that causes so much self hatred and shame that only getting high will fix. A vicious cycle and a true personal Hell. Unless you have been through it yourself then you really have no right to judge these people. Not one of the first 24 people to post in this thread have any clue about how being an addict really feels like or you never would have written what you did. A human being has died and the first thing you do is publicly cast judgement and shame her due to your own jealous desires of wanting to be wealthy. What you dont know is they both would do anything to be just like you. Addiction just like cancer it doesn't care what your net worth is.
