NBC's Ali Arouzi answers reader questions from Iran

While Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu traded verbal jabs at the United Nations General Assembly this week over the threat of Iran’s nuclear capability, one thing is for sure: international economic sanctions against Iran are having an impact.

See our full coverage on international hot spots crucial to U.S. foreign policy ahead of elections in our At the Brink series here. And on Sunday, Sept. 30, and Monday, Oct. 1, tune into special coverage on all NBC News platforms from NBC’s team of anchors and correspondents deployed in five countries across the region.

The United States, European Union and the U.N. have imposed tough economic sanctions against Iran, blocking access to the international banking system and curbing sales of Iranian crude oil as a way to persuade Tehran to abandon its nuclear program.

As Ali Arouzi, NBC News Tehran Correspondent, reports today, the sanctions have had a real impact on Iranians as the value of their currency, the rial, continues to drop daily – affecting everything from basic food items to manufacturing.

Iranian: 'Our money is becoming more and more worthless every day'

Ali answered reader questions about the impact of the sanctions in Iran earlier today.

"Freedom" is but one ideological path to govern. "Submission" is another, and one that has been far more prevalently applied throughout world history, particularly in the Islamic world. And both have equal legitimacy in a purely democratic system when a "people" can demand either.

So it is only logical that the Islamic world, so named because of the regional inhabitants' devotion to Islam -- Arabic for "submission" -- might choose to elect representatives that value "submission" to Allah's law and the practice of jihad rather than representatives that value the Western understanding of "freedom" that includes concepts like the right to free speech, peaceable assembly, equal rights to religious practice, gender equality, etc.

There are 80 boxes of documents related to The Holy Land Foundation Trial...This is about terrorism on our shores and the funds to do so!

The Obama Administration and Atty General Eric Holder have released documents to those "terrorists on trial"...BUT, they will not release them to our Congress!

Meanwhile, we have The Muslim Brotherhood running Egypt and visiting our White House...Something is very wrong here! Write your Congressional Leaders and DEMAND this Information be released!

Just what is your problem with the 'Muslim Brotherhood Party' that governs Egypt. 'brokeincolorado?' They are the elected party chosen by it's people after the dictatorship of Mubarak who ruled for 40 years.

So what sanctions are we on, under Obama? What is stated above from NBC News seems to coinside with our economy.

...there is this old adage which applies to having NO DEBT ~ the 3 'F' principle, which is:

IF IT FLOATS, FLIES OR F***S, RENT IT!
