The US may have good intentions of bringing democracy to the middle east, however, it was tried with japan in the 1850's and we ended up with a shogun attitude empire on 7 Dec 41. If the republicans think that the Obama administration has been a foreign policy failure please dont tell me that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will make it better, two guys with absolutely no foreign policy experience whatsoever. Mitt Romney a corporate raider for president and so-called "job creator," any jobs he created here were balanced with just as many outsourced to China. And Paul Ryan, who's claim to fame is voucherizing medicare and privatizing social security. Gimme a break. These guys will do better? The republicans had a good candidate, a moderate with a wealth of foreign policy experience and knowledge, his name was Jon Huntsman. But the republicans are too radical now to nominate him. Instead they bring in these two clowns.

There may well have been some mistakes made within the state dept and the administration - it was obviously a sensitive situation. But anybody with any sense cannot honestly think that a Romney/Ryan ticket will deliver better results.
