In May, 2012, Tunisian cleric Mokhtar Jebali led a demonstration in Tunis at which thousands of Tunisian fanatics chanted "Obama, Obama, we are all Osama". During that speech, Jebali repeatedly referred to the United States President as "Obama the Ape".

In June, 2012, Mokhtar Jebali was again leading a demonstration in Tunis. This time he was ranting about an anti-Islamic video. The thing is that IT WAS A DIFFERENT VIDEO THAN THE ONE ULTIMATELY USED AS A PRETEXT FOR THE SUBSEQUENT SEPTEMBER 11 VIOLENCE. The video that Jebali was condemning at that rally was made by someone named Jalel Brick, and it may be that this video was ultimately unsuitable for Jebali's purposes because Jalel Brick does not have any connection to the United States.

If I could come up with the above information with a few key-strokes of my computer (as anybody else can, if really interested in these facts) why did the Obama administration persist with the insane Youtube video pretext for weeks? The only explanation is that the Youtube video explanation fits in with Obama's sadly distorted perception of reality. Information is coming out now that those Americans who perished in Benghazi had desperately requested support that could have saved their lives and instead they were ordered to "stand down". Obama now claims that he issued the order to support those individuals, yet this obviously was not done. Either there's a serious incompetence that prevented this presidential "order" from being carried out, or (much more likely) Obama is now lying about having issued such an order. Americans have a right to know about this terrible scandal within the Obama administration BEFORE the presidential election. The reason why no truthful answers are forthcoming from the Obama administration is because they know that if the truth were revealed, the majority of Americans would be utterly disgusted with Obama, just for the handling of this matter alone and for the Obama administration's shameful attempt to mislead the American people on this matter.

For the first few weeks following the Benghazi terrorist attack, the Obama administration confidently stated over and over and over that it was about a Youtube video. Consider the fact that the so-called "protest" against the video did not coincide with the appearance of this video. Not only had this particular ridiculously-produced video had been on Youtube for months prior to the fateful September 11 attack, if you really care to know, you may discover that at any given time there are myriad such videos on Youtube, and have been for years. Not only was the Youtube video "explanation" ridiculous, if you think about its use by both the Muslim radicals AND the Obama administration, you realize that this is a case of the Muslim terrorists having purposely searched Youtube for such a video PRIOR to their act of terror for the express purpose of catering to a bizarre psychological weakness that these terrorists shrewdly detect in the President of the United States. Furthermore, look into what it was that the mobs of "protestors" were shouting at American embassies throughout the Muslim Middle East on and following September 11, 2012. It wasn't about a Youtube video. They were shouting "Obama, Obama, we are all Osama".

The anti-American violence in the Muslim world is tragically facilitated by Obama's psychology. For whatever reason, Barack Obama feels an unnatural compulsion to protect Islam from perceived "insults". We saw this in his attempts to intercede on behalf of the planners of the so-called "Ground Zero Mosque" near the site of what was the World Trade Center, and we see it in the many comments he has made to the Islamic world and to Americans. Unfortunately, those Islamic leaders intent on harming us are smarter than we generally think they are, and they have shrewdly developed strategies to utilize Obama's emotional vulnerability for this purpose, thus they invented the Youtube video pretext specifically to appeal to Obama's vulnerability and Obama himself is unfortunately only too eager to be played in this manner. The denial of necessary security to the Benghazi compound is directly related to this "Obama Doctrine", which is intent on convincing the world that America trusts the good intentions of Islam. In the process of fulfilling his distortions of the intentions of Islamic leaders in places like Libya, Tunisia, Mali, Egypt, Obama is willing to blatantly lie to the American people about what really happened in Benghazi. This is a cover-up of frightening proportions.

There's no doubt in my mind that Obama is doing this because he has the good intentions of promoting one of the world's major religions (Islam) as benevolent. He himself is not a Muslim, but he has this psychological need. In the process of acting upon his "good intentions", his doctrine makes Americans vulnerable, and he mounts a bizarre cover-up to the September 11 Islamic celebratory attacks against Americans. We haven't seen even the tip of the iceberg on this. If the "Obama Doctrine" is successful, Iran could (God forbid) be celebrating future September 11's in an even bigger way.

Don't any of you find it odd, that none of these news channels will tell you the whole truth about the Libya attack, or any other story, that makes Obama look bad. Why do the right wingers just repeat what they just heard from their talking heads? Yes, Whatmatters, some of us progressives stay in tune to what your pundits say because it is fun to watch the puppets respond over the next couple days. Admit it, you had already forgotten about it until you just heard it again.

But here's your answers.

Actually the Obama administration didn't really blame the attack on the video, but at first thought it was probably tied to it. The current collection of evidence says that there is a lot of truth to that. Nobody was trying to hide anything or deny that it was a terrorist attack. The President stated so in successive days following the attack. Was it logical to think that it might be somehow linked to the uproar over the video? Only to people with logical minds. But when you get right down to it, does it change anything one way or the other? No. They are still dead.

Why wasn't there enough security? With the possible exception of the US embassy in Bagdad, no embassy has enough US forces to repel the attack of 120 well trained fanatics, many of whom are suicidal for their cause. Additionally, it was a consulate, not an embassy so the typical security force is small. Did you know to that when a Marine Securty Guard is assigned to an embassy, it really isn't about providing protecting for the US personnel? In fact, primary mission of the MSG is to provide security, particularly the protection of classified information and equipment vital to the national security of the United States at American diplomatic posts. Providing personnel protection is but a secondary role. Primary security is provided by the host country. It is the same everywhere and that applies to all countries. And even if we would have had 3 times as many security personnel as the largest request from consulate security personnel, the only difference would have been more dead Americans.

Why no help? Well actually an evacuation team was sent in. Their role is to get people out, not repel an attack. They were sent in by helicopter and were met with overwhelming aggression, two of these guys were killed. And it might be noteworthy too that we don't have a troops stationed in Libya. We are not occupiers nor are we providing any security or policing functions in the country. They sent in the evac team, there was no battle group to send in even if we had wanted to. Unless we have a military base with troops stationed there in the host country, it is no different anywhere else. Did you know that the Marine Guard at the Egyptian embassy that was breached by protesters, had no ammo? That is at the discretion of the Ambassador. In reality that may have been a good thing because we probably would have killed a bunch of Egyptian civilians. There are a lot of misconceptions about how security is handled at embassies and what the US security teams are responsible for. Emabssies are not military installations. Do you think we would allow hundreds of Russian or Iranian troops at their embassies in the US? Of course not, and we play those same rules we expect others to play when in our country.

Now if you hadn't been so busy watching Fox or Blaze TV and were reading and watching real news networks, you'd already know all this. But you have taken the word of some pundits telling you that none of this has been explained and the "mainstream media" has ignored the story. Simply not true.

Whatmatters: Good questions. What should have happened is air strike from carrier battle group, response time 1 hour. Gunships to clear area in minutes, extraction within 2 hours, Embassy is US territory. Contingent force left to repel and destroy further attackers. They were there for hours. If Libya wants a war with US; I say we take over.

You will soon (maybe) find out the "hush" is because an arms deal involving S-8 weapons was the center of the contraversy. The whitehouse, sec. of state and Gen. Petraeus ( betrayus) are all complicite.

And just who would we have conducted that strike against in the middle of the night in a city? Anything that moved on IR sensors? Why bother launching planes, just aim a bunch of cruise missiles at Benghazi and "get the job done"?

You've been watching too many movies or playing too many video games. But I suspect it really doesn't matter to you who we hit, as long as we got a couple thousand of "them" to even the score. I just hope that whatever you do in life it doesn't involve ever making decisions of any consequence.

NewDay: What did you not understand? Do you know what a Jet is? A10 Warthog old school perimeter clearing. Simple tactical maneuver you wouldn't grasp do to your missile and electronics mentality. The second part it doesn't matter who gets killed? I said secure compound counter strike if needed. What is it you believe I said? If you think I believe in stronger military strikes against radicals and their supporters? You would be right. Feel better? P.S. If the US continues with passivise attitude like yours against militant regimes we will be at war a long time.

Be careful who's mentality you are questioning. I was being sarcastic when I stated "why bother launching planes." I won't argue that a Warthog is a pretty effective weapon for close in support as long as you have somebody on the ground calling in the strike. However that wasn't possible for one, and for another, A-10s weren't available. And if you think they could clearly identify their targets in the middle of the night in the middle of a city without huge collateral damage, you're dreaming. But we've already established that you don't give a flying F about collateral damage.

In fact what supposedly was considered was a carrier launched C-130 Spectre. Again, devistating firepower but needs the appropriate ground guidance. Same would apply for an FA-18 or any other carrier based jets. All this stuff might work if we were talking about US ground troop on a very specific mission with proper communication and targeting equipment. That wasn't the case. Best they could have done was shoot up the place in the vicinity of the burning buildings hoping not to take out the good guys.

The reality is that an evac team was sent in by chopper, that is how the survivors eventually got out, and it was two of those guys who ended up getting killed during that effort.

And might I ask, purely as a matter of interest, just which carrier in the fleet can hurl a C130 aloft?
