A three-story building in Gaza was flattened by an overnight Israeli airstrike that was targeted at a Hamas militant. NBC's Richard Engel reports.
Updated at 8:43 p.m. ET: As Israel entered its fifth day of airstrikes on Gaza, a missile targeted at a top militant flattened a three-story building, killing 10 members of a family.
The attack, which came as Middle East leaders attempted to negotiate a ceasefire, triggered fear that Israel could launch a ground offensive and lead to war.
Twelve people died in the overnight attack, including four children and four women. At least 75 Palestinians have died so far in this nearly week-long conflict. More than 600 have been injured.
In Israel, where half the country is now within reach of rockets, three people have been killed. Dozens have been injured.
More than a hundred rocket attacks were launched from Gaza, triggering more panic and fear in Israel's commercial capital where sirens were last heard during the Gulf War. NBC's Martin Fletcher reports.
In Tel-Aviv, the country’s commercial capital, sirens sounded for the first time since the Gulf War. Targeted attacks Sunday on the trendy city were shot down, the Christian Science Monitor reported.
Meanwhile, President Barack Obama said he fully supported Israel's right to defend itself and called for an end to the firing of missiles into Israel by militants inside Gaza in order for a peace process to go ahead.
"If this can be accomplished without a ramping up of military activity in Gaza, that is preferable," Obama said during a visit to Myanmar. "That's not just preferable for the people of Gaza, it's also preferable for Israelis because if Israeli troops are in Gaza they're much more at risk of incurring fatalities or being wounded."
The conflict between the two sides ratcheted up after Israel launched an air strike Wednesday that killed Ahmed al-Jabari, Hamas’s top military leader. Hamas, deemed a terrorist organization by the U.S. and Israel, won parliament seats in Gaza in 2006 and took control of the area in 2007.
Israel's declared goal is to deplete Gaza arsenals and press Hamas into stopping cross-border rocket fire that has plagued Israeli border towns for years.
After Jabari was killed, the Israel Defense Forces posted a video of the airstrike on YouTube. Then they tweeted: “We recommend that no Hamas operatives, whether low level or senior leaders, show their faces above ground in the days ahead.”
In Cairo, Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi worked behind the scenes to broker a truce. He said "there are some indications that there is a possibility of a ceasefire soon, but we do not yet have firm guarantees.''
Egypt has mediated previous ceasefire deals between Israel and Hamas, the latest of which unraveled with recent violence.
In Jerusalem, an Israeli official declined to comment on the negotiations. Military commanders said Israel was prepared to fight on to achieve a goal of halting rocket fire from Gaza, which has plagued Israeli towns since late 2000, when failed peace talks led to the outbreak of a Palestinian uprising.
Diplomats at the United Nations said Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is expected to visit Israel and Egypt in the coming week to push for an end to the fighting.
The conflict speaks to a much broader question of whether Israel should cede land so that Palestine may become a state. The U.N., European Union and Russia agree there should be separate states, with Gaza being included in the Palestinian state.
In May 2011, President Barack Obama also agreed: “We believe the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states.”
That would leave Israel with just nine miles at its narrowest, however, which its leaders say would be difficult to protect.

Ground offensive
Israel was prepared to substantially broaden its operation in the Gaza strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday as military planes continued to bomb targets in Gaza City.
"The Israel Defense Forces have attacked more than 1,000 terror targets in the Gaza Strip," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a cabinet meeting. "We are exacting a heavy price from Hamas and the terrorist organizations and the Israel Defense Forces are prepared for a significant expansion of the operation."
He gave no specifics and made no mention of the possibility of a ground offensive.
But Israeli cabinet ministers decided on Friday to more than double the current reserve troop quota set for the Gaza offensive to 75,000 and around 16,000 reservists have already been called up.
Asked by reporters whether a ground operation was possible, Maj.-Gen. Tal Russo, commander of the Israeli forces on the Gaza frontier, said: "Definitely.''
“We have a plan. ... It will take time. We need to have patience. It won't be a day or two,'' he added.
A possible move into the densely populated Gaza Strip and the risk of major casualties it brings would be a significant gamble for Netanyahu, favored to win a January election.
The last Gaza war, a three-week Israeli blitz and invasion over the New Year of 2008-09, killed 1,400 Palestinians, mostly civilians. Thirteen Israelis died in the conflict.
'Huge bang'
At least two rockets fired from Gaza toward Tel Aviv, Israel's commercial capital, were shot down Sunday by Israel's Iron Dome air shield, witnesses and officials said.
NBC's Paul Goldman saw at least one missile being intercepted by Israel's anti-rocket defense system over the center of the city.
"I was taking cover and heard a huge bang," Goldman said. "(I) looked up and saw the explosion in the air above me. I could smell the fire."
Israel's strikes were causing widespread damage, Mohyeldin reported from Gaza. "These strikes are portrayed as precision strikes, but they are anything but that given how densely populated the area is," he said.
Reuters and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Is naplam legal to use in modern warfare? If so then I would tell Isreal to glass the the region.
Does the region include itself ?
This is a situation in which you can't fight your way to peace. America has been involved in two wars in the region for 10 years and we have not accomplished anything that will be successful.
prog.1 If you ask me I say we may be making the situation worse.
Great example of american media bias.....No reporting of Hammas downing an Israeli F16! This is widely reported in foreign press. Seems significant, and besides it was paid for by US taxes.
Right Robert, we pay for everything they have and we give them hugh amounts of money that would be better to keep right here so we don't have to borrow money from other conutries, like China! We are close to not being able to pay the interest on the amount we owe.
Palestinians thought they were Syrians until 1919 when the Brits told them otherwise. Palestine was divided between Jordan and Egypt in 1948 and no Palestinian knew it was missing. They became Palestinians after 1967 when it was part of a political struggle ("kampf", in German) against non-Muslims, especially the Jews. Thirty years of Jew-killing from 1919-1948, including WW2 recruitment of Muslims into the Waffen-SS, caused the Jews of Palestine to rebell against the Palestinian government and create the self-protection zone of Israel. SInce then Israel has become ever-more-modern, and Palestinians have stayed medieval. Even when given autonomy in 2005, Gaza is a mystic cesspool of police state violence.
If Palestine got the BILLIONS of US dollars that Israel got then they might be modern as well. They didn't build that
Palestine gets a fortune. It is divided among their criminals. Check Suha Arafat's bank account in Paris.
You are talking about one person, not all the people, most are extremely poor. The US gave Isreal it's money, citizens tax dollars.
Are you gonna go?
To the Sodom and Gommorah show.
It's got everything you need for your complete entertainment, and destruction.
Sun. Sin. Sex. Divine intervention. Death and destruction.
(With all due credit to the world's greatest duet).
Let's get this over with.
Release the (nuclear armed ) Cracken.
You are the kind of Israeli citizens/Jewish observers that are an abomination to your religion and history as a state. What are you killing for? Just so you can have some type of target for your expensive army resources to flex its strength on? So you can sing songs like these and have no other stories to tell other than rhyme about destroying a nation in poverty? Is there a true mission of security, even though you have been aided by the U.S. with countless defense machinery as well as tools of destruction? I am deeply sorry for all of the misleading knowledge you have been forced to surrender to, the propaganda which aims to brainwash you into a state of demonic anger and then tell you that it is OK to kill so many little children, old people, women and innocents who have nothing to do with endangering your State security.
Jihadis have 98% the same DNA as an ape.
Stop Being Fooled,
The song is totally sarcastic.
It is as anti-war a song as could possibly be written.
The Pet Shop Boys rendition of the song at the Mexico City Cubism concert is way, way over the top.
Endrust
Funny how whenever a conflict of this magnitude is about to escalate further all US presidents Chief of Staff send them to the other side of the planet and give them something lame to do to avoid the press.
While Hamas has taken a foothold in Palistine the same threat of an uprising looms in Iraq as they try to overthrow all we estabilshed liberating them from Sadam. Whatever goes down I think the US is gonna sit out these conflicts and for the first time just let nature take its course..
Don't you know that the Palestinians are the ones that attacked Israel, Israel has a perfect right to defend itself.
Defend--to what extent and limitation? When is it defense and when is it fighting a defenseless people? Where are your murdered civilians? Where are you destroyed homes? Where are your murdered children and women? Where are your lack of resources, food and supplies for an all-out Operation by Israel?
Simply type in Palestinian loss of land since 1946- then understand that they have no army, navy, no support from the US and this is the same genocide that happened here in America to the Native Americans or what happened to the Jews from Hitler...there will never be peace on this earth. Never.
why doesn't the people stop these radicals from carrying out these attacts from happening,it must be that they agree with hamas,so there can be no such thing as collaterall damage if their towns are leveled, which whats going to happen sooner then later.
They would if Hamas and groups like them wouldn't kill them for not falling in line. Muslims kill other Muslims if they don't agree. Same with the Taliban. Israel has shown remarkalble restraint thus far. The Iranian puppets are using Iraian weapons and getting it handed to them. Now they want a truce. Ha. All they want to do is regroup and reload to start again with more weapons from Iran. It is time for Israel to stop playing with Hamas and end the threat for good.
How many times has that been said?--"End for good." It will never end for good. Because there is no END--no threat to begin with! Israel will never stop launching ground attacks on Gaza because they must fight! They love to kill! Otherwise--what will they do with all of their shiny, unused military toys?!
A serious historical mistake in the Qur'an that generates a violent confrontation with the Jews is that the Quran says Ishmael is Abraham's heir, not Isaac. Muslims regard themselves as the descendants of Ishmael and Hagar (the slave). Agar is seen as the true wife of Abraham, and Ishmael (or Ismail) as its favorite son. According to Muslim tradition is Ishmael and not Isaac who was offered for sacrifice of Abraham. The Arabs are descended from Ishmael according to their tradition, so Muslims try to claim that Palestine is the promise of the Covenant. Therefore Muslims reject and fight Israel's return to Palestine. God owns everything it pleased give this land to Israel for an everlasting possession, is stated clearly enough in His Word. Muslims have become enemies of any country that supports Israel. The Quran dates from 600d.C, but the story of the Bible in Genesis is 2400 years old (about 1800 BC), it is clear that Muslims have been deceived, they are mistaken and confused.
Qur'an: Sura 19:54-55 "And remember Ishmael in Scripture was fulfiller of His promise and was an apostle, a prophet. His body prescribed prayer and offerings, and was one in which the Lord is pleased. "
Sura 2:125 "And when We made the House meeting place and refuge for men. And: "Make the place of Abraham a chapel!" And made an alliance with Abraham and Ishmael: Purify My House for that which gave the turns, for that would come to make a withdrawal, to bow and prostrate. "
Genesis 17:8,9 "And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession and I will be their God. "
Genesis 17:18,19 "And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee. And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son, and shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.
Then the passages of the Quran that Muslims and support the teaching of the Word of God:
Mr. Yarcho,
The Palestinians are not in a "violent confrontation" with the Jews because of their Holy Book verses and stories. That is simply what Western media wants you to believe. As your first name is Alejandro, I assume you are not from the United States, but somewhere in South America. In this case, you should understand first hand the blasphemy of these wars and the true, devastating political aims involved. Of course, it would be easier to blame religion for the fights, when in reality, it is harder to analyze the deeply-rooted history of human divide and selfishness. It is harder to accept that instead, countless casualties ensue because of greed and lust for more land and resources. Racism, crippling of under-developed economic states and ensuring creative control. These are some of the many reasons for war and maybe you can look these ideas up in your bible instead. The Quran states that war and aggression is wrong. But if you are a believer, and your land of worship is being attacked, meaning any Muslim population is attempted to wipe-out, then you must fight--man and woman must leave their homes and join the fight for freedom to worship in their own, independent and militarily-strong territory.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called 'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter.
Unlike nearly all of the Old Testament verses of violence, the verses of violence in the Quran are mostly open-ended, meaning that they are not restrained by the historical context of the surrounding text. They are part of the eternal, unchanging word of Allah, and just as relevant or subjective as anything else in the Quran.
Most of today's Muslims exercise a personal choice to interpret their holy book's many calls to violence according to what their own moral preconceptions find justificable. Apologists cater to their preferences with tenuous arguments that gloss over historical fact and generally do not stand up to scrutiny. Still, it is important to note that the problem is not bad people, but bad ideology.
Unfortunately, there are very few verses of tolerance and peace to abrogate or even balance out the many that call for nonbelievers to be fought and subdued until they either accept humiliation, convert to Islam, or are killed. Muhammad's own martial legacy - and that of his companions - along with the remarkable stress on violence found in the Quran have produced a trail of blood and tears across world history.
There is no need for American boots-on-the-ground. There is only the resupply of the Republic of Israel versus the freakshow that is their neighbors.
Kallie,
Also, has anyone seen the pics circulating of supposed Palestinian wounded being carried through hospital doors and then the wounded get up and walk out perfectly fine after the photo op? ( yes, I know there are real wounded too) This whole things seems "planned"
I'm going to tell you this--the situation is so bad in Gaza, SO bad, that reporters are not able to stay around the area and have to evacuate in the occurrences of air strikes from Israel. This would mean they are not around to truly capture all of the action that the Gazans have to face and handle. So yes, I would imagine when the reporters are able to sit with the locals, that some realities are being re-enacted, but it is a true depiction of what they have to face on a daily basis, have dealt with for months at a time and for years. Israel commented on this page that they have been having to deal with rockets firing since 2000. Of course they would fail to mention the countless Operations by the Israeli Defense Forces that have bloodlessly caused thousands, millions of civilian casualties that were supposedly "Hamas operation" bases (Operation Rainbow, Operation Summer Rains, Operation Days of Penitence, Operation Cast Lead, and whatever weird names they have in celebration of killing Palestinians). And yes, around two weeks ago, Israel was saying that Hamas were not willing to negotiate to the United States and were 'unworthy' of getting membership in the United Nations even as a non-state observer. This was before any of the action began and now they claim that Hamas did it first. Even though almost all of the rockets launched have been caught by the big defense machine given them by the U.S. How sickening that Israel is always trying to keep the Palestinians away from any involvement in the "Big Boys" arena and then fails to mention it has a goal of clearing Palestinian land in order to construct more of their settlements, even past all of the countless peace ramifications that have been put in place since 1967. The numbers show just how "off" this war really is--41 as opposed to 3 Israelis dead? It's always like that...sometimes a thousand as opposed to 12 soldiers! Just look up Israel Defense Force on Wikipedia...look at their military office headquarters: is that something comparable to the little, makeshift TV station which airs from Gaza to all of Palestine bringing one of the only local news?! To the Qassam rockets which were manufactured using absolutely no factories, no high-tech machinery? Hamas has been quiet for a while now, even the international community was in recognition of that. They were also in recognition of the fact that Israel had been preparing an Operation Cast Lead II as far back as three-four months ago. They always plan things out before they happen, because they simply cannot last in "peace." They must fight, so they can benefit from monetary aid from the U.S. knowing they have more than enough weaponry and resources, so they can point their fingers again at Palestinians and simply, so they can chant "Death to the Arabs" while shooting off towns and rhyme about "Gaza get ready to rock tonight."
Gaza voted for a violent police state, and they got one. Let them have the society they deserve.
Egypt say's there might be a truce..... My a&& Pound them back into the stone age Israel and don't let up. Hamas and the likes of them just want terror and death ! NOW GIVE IT TO THEM
That's a what I like !
And this is exactly what Israel is betting on, along with the help of Israeli and American media to spread this foolishness. They are taking the long way around and with that statement above, it will literally open the door for Israel to attack Iran.
It's in the works people, watch and learn!!! Israel didn't win the "Iran has nukes, let's attack them," on the world court, so let's take it through Gaza, and say Iran is arming them
The sanctions against Iran are "working" that's why so BB has to start "his war" another way and get the USA into it no matter what but too bad most of the "kill all the dirty muslim savages at all costs" crowd can't see the obvious but that is what blind hatred does to people. Losing all ability to see the truth even when it has been going on four FORTY FIVE YEARS in this case and our country has willingly been used by a "so-called friend". Honestly, the only time there was any degree of peace was during the Bhegin-Saddat Treaty btwn Isreal and Egypt.
As for Iran, doubt we would have had any problem with them to begin had we not meddled in THEIR government and put the Shah in and of course the Iranians rebelled. The Ayatollah was a monster of our own making because we can't stay out of other countrys affairs just like the North and South Viet Nam "conflict". NONE of our BUSINESS!!! The "Arab Spring" is the ME business as these countrys want their independence from despotic regimes and what they end up forming as their governments is their business, not OURS as we have began the perpetual use of the press/media to sway Americans infatuation to get our country involved in wars since Woodrow Wilson effectively stamped any voices that opposed our moblizing for WWI wth the rallying cry: "Making the World Safe for Demcracy".
ANYONE who dared say otherwise was a "commie, traitor, sympathizer to the Kaiser" and groups who opposed it from labour organizations, etc, infiltrated, their members arrested, jailed, journalists and columnists blacklisted, fired and saw their publications starved of advertising, losing business and they themselves, strongly "encouraged to RESIGN".....and so it continues today in the "corporated owned, operated and CONTROLLED STATE".
Do your own reearch beyond the crap you hear HERE of all places. Go to the library and read from unbiased periodicals, authors and renowned people past and present who have seen what is real vs BS to tell the truth. If it matters enough to you, you will. If it matters enough to you, you already have and will continue to do it. As an experienced blogger, the comments of the " paid trolls, the sadly ignorant and the truth seekers who can give HONEST, intelligent commentary with at least SOME fact to defend their position on an issue" are easy to seperate. Time I will give to latter group for response or debate.
Kannin your post presented the mind set of the palestinian culture so perfectly as I copied below! Thank you. That is why I find it difficult to understand why the media blows out of proportion the loss of life among the palestine civilians into such a big ordeal when the palestines do not value life they only value their beliefs that killing is the right thing to do according to their religious beliefs. I guess that when I see and hear about their civilians being bombed it does not affect me one way or the other. Much the same way the killing of American people in the 911 bombing did not affect the palestines. They were laughing and throwing parties while trampling over our flag about our loss of life! They are what they are. Palestine doesn't deserve to have a state. They have the entire middle east surrounding the Isreal state. One could give them the entire state of Israel and they still wouldn't be happy. They follow a religion that will never bring them peace and until they realize that they will continue to hate and kill. So as far as I'm concerned they should have an h-bomb dropped on them and be done with it!
"It is difficult for a Westerner to accept the depths of duplicity and violence in the Palestinian culture. This fact is frequently exploited by their propagandists when they try to excuse a Palestinian act of horrific cruelty by posting, “it must have been Western injustice that drove him/her to such lengths.” In fact, acts of horrific cruelty are everyday occurrences in their society. We must understand that the values of the Palestinians are fundamentally different from those of civilized countries like Israel and the US. There are thousands of examples of this difference, but one, in particular, illustrates the contrast very well:
The Palestinians put a suicide bomb vest on a mentally handicapped Palestinian teenager, Hussam Abdo. Instead of simply shooting him at the border, the Israelis helped him disarm the vest and saved his life. The life that the Palestinians had just tried to destroy. I think that US or European soldiers would have been merciful, too.
It is far more important than posturing or politics to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the nations, like Israel, who share our core values."
Palestine created this for themselves. They are the ones attacking Israel.
All rhetoric aside what I don't understand is why the people on both sides are not sick and tired of all of this. How long do they need to keep killing each other until both sides say enough is enough? Having said that, make no mistake about it. Both sides have contributed to this conflict. The idea it's only one sides fault or the others is a distortion of facts.
What is it that people here do not get, that the Arab world and Palestine are the one's that will not allow Israel to have their own country or for that matter even exist? Israel is trying to be a city where everyone can live together.
Israel is a free country...not a city..
I say let them have it out and have a clear winner. Wars aren't fought to be won anymore and that is strange. These 2 peoples have been fighting each other since the beginning of recorded history. Cut off all funding and let them go at it. The Israelis are obviously very tough and are more than capable of handling this without our money to pay for it. They can take care of Iran too while they're at it...without our money though. We have our own issues to deal with right here and now. It won't happen though because all the "high paying jobs" here depend on people killing themselves over there.
So Bama Boy said they have the right to defend themselves huh? Well isn't the grand of him. What a foreign policy president he is. I haven't seen anyone like him since Jimmy Carter. Now the sad part. We limited the damage done by Carter to one term. This moron is going to get another 4 years to make us the laughing stock of the world and he's done a banner job so far. Even a secretary of state that should be in jail for involuntary manslaughter with the preventable killing of our ambassedor in Bengazi. They do in deed make one heck of a tag team huh? Actually makes me kind of sick.
About a 100 words that say absolutely nothing. That's quite a talent. I think you should enter politics.
Bama Boy? I thought he was born in Hawaii! Either way, he's an American!!!!! LMAO@U
If Gaza spent as much money on weed instead of on missiles and rockets, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
But you would have a lot of potential Democrat voters...

I hope the whole Middle East blows everyone there to their kingdom come of what every God they believe in, is on their side. This world would be better off without any of those people. All this killing and hatred over some non existent God or Gods.
This why we need to keep religion out of our government and start taxing all religions in this country.
Who knows, maybe it would help rid the U.S. and maybe even the world of these nut jobs who kill over some perceived assault against their religion and the people who live by them in a world of denial and ignorance.
Are you aware the Islam is Religion and a Political body all rolled into one package....?
The Bible teaches that all life is precious and sacred to God,and the Bible says whatever people sow they reap,so if people sow war, people reap war, disobeying God's word of whatever people sow they reap, making life NOT precious and sacred, but expendable, further disobeying God.
Islam's Qur'an teaches than only Muslims are sacred and the all others must be either subdued or killed...preferrably killed.
pulsar182...What exactly does the Bible teach about those who do not accept Jesus as the Saviour? They will burn for eternity in hell. That means the Jews will be there along with the Muslims and the majority of the world population.
not one of you pathetic sympathizer's would think it's ok to send rocket's to your house, but it's ok to shell israeli home's!!...daily!!! your a discusting form of humanity!! you should move to israel and see how you'd like living there under those condition's!! israel should kill EVERY one of them!!!!
The Bible teaches that all life is precious and sacred to God,and the Bible says whatever people sow they reap,so if people sow war, people reap war, disobeying God's word of whatever people sow they reap, making life NOT precious and sacred, but expendable, further disobeying God. When Obama said he doesn't understand somethings in the Bible, this is an example of that.
God is a Wimp. A God with NO Power is NO God. Get used to it. You would get more reaction by praying to a lamp post than to a Non Existent God. At least if you pray to a Lamp Post you Will see the light, at night.
Hmmm God stands for WIMP for "windows, icons, menus, pointer's?
Jihadism is Nazism, plus supernatural gibberish.
Oh yes world, Israel has been a quiet, peaceful, tolerant, non-indifferent, equality-minded country since it's land was taken from the Arabs 60 years ago. Large scale military action during all that time has discouraged the Arabs from fighting with Israel? In short Israel, more particularly, those who were Israel's first leaders, were to the Arabs and even the British, nothing more that terrorists themselves. These people committed massacres, assassinations, bombings, and torture on the Arabs. Israel has sponsored and committed assassination in other countries in the past and still do it today - just like the Nazi's did before and during WWII! And just like the Nazi's under the auspices of self-protection and self-preservation.
They have continued to and have always have violated UN Resolutions including the continued building of illegal settlements on Palestinian lands, with the United States abstaining on many of these UN Security Council votes condemning Israel for it! Just before the 9/11 attack the US walked out of a conference on racism with Israel because yet again Israel was being called out on it's apartheid attitude toward Arabs! It's precondition to the conference was that Israel not be questioned on it's racist attitude toward those in the west Bank, the Arabs being allowed to return, and it's human rights violations against the people of the West Bank.
Israel constantly incurs into the West Bank with snipers. Those illegal settlements have basically their own Police Forces who constantly harass and kill Palestinians. Israel blockades food and other humanitarian supplies. Yet and still because of the obvious press bias in favor of Israel and against the Palestinians, most American believe that Hamas and other Israeli resistance organizations, just decide to, without cause or reason, to start raining rockets down on Israel. Poor, poor Israel. A land and people so ill-treated?
At the very least, Israel is nothing more than any other terrorist state and they have nuclear weapons obtained by illegally purchasing nuclear weapon technology from Pakistan and China and through espionage activities against it's #1 supporter - that's right the United States - us! It's funny how they are trying to keep Iran from obtaining nukes. I have always been under the impression that if I were Iran, I'd need them just to keep Israel away from me - not vice-versa!
The Middle East would probably do better if Israel weren't there. It make sense. Whenever there is turmoil anywhere in or around the Middle East, Israel is at the heart of it, Israel is the cause of it, or it's the defense of Israel by other nations that precipitates it!
What a guano dump. You must feel better now.
kenny.....sheer ignorance at its peak. Despicable LIES.....you are Anti-Semitic at its' worst! One point you failed to make is that if Israel lets' its' guard down for a second the Islamist Terrorists would annihilate them.
