Israeli forces kill Gaza man despite cease-fire

Updated at 7:55 a.m. ET: GAZA -- A 20-year-old Palestinian was killed and 10 others injured by Israeli forces Friday, Palestinian medical officials told NBC News, despite the U.S.-brokered cease-fire declared Wednesday.

The men were shot on the Gaza side of the border as they tried to access their farmland in the eastern part of Khan Younis, the Palestinian Medical Service said early Friday.

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki said the shooting had broken the cease-fire, Reuters reported. Malki, speaking at a meeting with Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi, called the incident “a clear violation of the agreement and should not be repeated.”

Bernat Armangue / AP

Israel's military said it had accomplished its objectives while Hamas claimed victory after the two sides exchanged deadly airstrikes and rocket attacks for over a week.

The Israeli Defense Forces imposes a no-go zone on the Gaza side of the border, but the officials said the men believed they would be able to access their farmland safely during the truce, which began late Wednesday.

A spokesman for the IDF told NBC News that it did not have any immediately information about the death of Palestinian.

Israel arrests suspects in Tel Aviv bus bombing

The spokesman said there were several "incidents of disquiet and unrest at the Gaza border" and that "Israeli soldiers fired warning shots in the air.”

When the rioters did not comply, the soldiers responded by firing at the rioters legs, the spokesman added.

The cease-fire between Israel and Hamas had been holding firm, with scenes of joy among the ruins in Gaza on Thursday, including a celebratory rally past wrecked houses and government buildings.

However, schools stayed closed in southern Israel, where nerves were jangled by warning sirens - a false alarm, the IDF said.

Residents of Gaza return to their homes with hope the cease-fire persists. ITV's John Ray reports.

The truce was the fruit of intensive diplomacy by Egypt’s new Islamist regime, spurred by U.S. President Barack Obama, who sent Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to the Middle East.

Israel is nothing but a liability to the US and an enormous drain of our resources. We continuously pour money in this horrible country to pay for their settlements that the world has declared as illegal and oppressive.
Our government gives them whatever they want because Jews control the FED and our congress is under the influence of AIPAC. Jews, Muslim haters and Christian Fundamentalists will not agree, but this is the way it really is. The needs of my country come first, even above God's supposed chosen people. Just because many people have valid reasons not to like Muslims is not a justification to kiss Israel's ass in blind support. This is how we are being manipulated and most of you are sheep and easily will follow without putting any real thought into what is happening. The best thing that could happen for the US is that Iran removes Israel from the planet and rids the US of its biggest parasite without starting WWIII.

I wholeheartedly agree. The vast majority of middle eastern tensions can be directly attributed to the fact that Israel is even there in the first place. And the fact of the matter is that Israel consistently violates UN resolutions despite the fact that the only reason for its existence is an overly generous, newly formed post WWII UN. And they keep demanding that Hamas recognize their right to exist - what legitimate country needs that kind of validation from their sworn enemies?

The fact of the matter is that the Israeli leadership - and the Israeli people in general - are absolutely itching for their biblical war. They want their Armageddon and they are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. They want the entire world to feel so sorry for them because they have been so persecuted, while at the same time and in the same breath relegating the Gazans to little more than a concentration camp and greedily swallowing up more of the Palestinians land every year and every day.

Boo Israel. Boo fascist US government for supporting such a warmongering regime. If Israel were predominantly Muslim rather than Jewish, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. The US would accuse them of harboring WMD's (which they do, they possess enough nukes to take this whole planet out, but somehow THAT's fine and dandy), go in there and take care of business.

Hopefully Iran does go in there and take care of the problem for us. Unfortunately, if they do, it WILL be WWIII because of the US's misguided sense of loyalty toward a sinking ship...

When the Jordanians and Egyptians controlled the so-called West Bank and the Gaza Strip for 19 years (1948 to 1967), there was never a thought of giving the disorganized mass of “migrant workers” a state. Why? Because they knew there was no cohesive, homogeneous people known as “Palestinians.”

By all eyewitness accounts of that era, Palestine was a total desolation. There were virtually no trees and no people. Because of lack of trees, the weather changed and it rarely ever rained. The irrigation systems of the once fertile valleys were all destroyed, rendering most areas into malaria-ridden swamps. The terraces of the mountainsides were torn down, causing terrible erosion that left only barren rocks. This was the condition of Palestine by the beginning of the 19th century.

It was at this time that Jews began to flee severe persecutions in Russia and Eastern Europe. In the mid-1800s, some Jews came to Palestine and, with the generous aid of some successful Jews like the Rothschilds, began to buy property from Muslim Ottoman Turks. The Muslims thought the land was worthless anyway, so they sold it to the “dumb Jews” for extremely inflated prices.

To everyone’s amazement, the Jews were very successful at reclaiming the land. Many of them died from malaria and the rigorous life the work demanded, but they performed an agricultural miracle that made the land very productive again. As a result of their success, poor migrant workers from the surrounding Muslim countries began to flood in to work for the Jews. The Jews literally became victims of their own success – almost all of the people calling themselves “Palestinians” today are the descendants of those migrant workers.

alkintuc, I don't agree with you but you made some good points up until you called for the destruction of Israel. That type of thinking is what keeps them so on edge. You might feel the same if you were staring down tens of millions of Muslims chanting destruction to Israel.

fedupwithfed, i'm not familiar with hal lidseys book, but it was clearly written to sell to a certain segment of the population. i'm guessing the handful of other books on your meager shelf include authors like bill o'rielly. the truth is, the palestnian people had lived on that land for over one thousand years. it was not desolate and unpopulated, as the well planted and well tended groves of 1967 could attest. also the lovely old homes now occupied by planted israelis. to put this conflict into terms you can understand, think america versus the american indian when we were removing them from their homelands and herding them into reservations.

what is truly stunning to me is that you posted this crap following an article about a farmer being shot dead heading into his fields after a cease fire was declared.

Real problem in ME and most places are the Sunni Saudi extremist Islamic hater and killer versions of Salaffi, Wahhabi and their fronts like Hamas, al Qaida, MB, Salaffi, Taliban and others.

In Israel's case, Jews of Israel are a victim of Hamas' atrocious and intolerable actions.

If somebody, does this to your home from all sides as Hamas did, will you and your family members tolerate?

Can you say: who are problems in Bahrain, Syria, Pakistan, Iran and other places?

Followers of Islamic cult, especially Sunni Saudi inspired Islamic radicals and militants (al-Qaida, Salaffi, Wahhabi, MB, Taliban and other label ones), are fast marching backwards to their seventh century desert tribal days.

They are indulging in rapings, lootings, killings and genocides of non-Muslims (Darfur, S. Sudan, Nigeria and spreading like wild fire in many regions and Muslims (Libya, Yemen, Mali, Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan and other places).

In Egypt, Sunni Saudi backed Salaffi and MB are opening up new chapters of Islamic bigotry. Morsi is just a front for them. Just watch the fate of Christians, women and Israel as the time goes by.

Even in Syria, if Assad is overthrown by Sunni Islamic religious Nazis like al-Qaida, MB, the conditions of Christians will be unbearable just like Iraq.

Pakis and Sunni Saudis and co are responsible for 80 percent of world problems including economic ones. Examine the devastations with Iraqi wars and now sanctions on Iranian oil and the resultant oil price manipulations.

As a result of their success, poor migrant workers from the surrounding Muslim countries began to flood in to work for the Jews. The Jews literally became victims of their own success – almost all of the people calling themselves “Palestinians” today are the descendants of those migrant workers.

FedupwithFed - It is a matter of historic record that up until the first Arab-Israeli War in 1948, the region which constitutes Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip all had a majority Arab population.

Israel and many western historians often portray the surrounding Arab nations as the aggressors in this first Arab-Israeli War, and often state that native Arabs were encouraged to leave their homes by the Transjordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Egypt.

But there are other narratives, which tell that the Arab League only involved itself in response to the armed conflict which was already raging between Jewish settlers and Palestinian natives. In his book, "The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine", Israeli historian, Ilan Pappi, makes the case that in this war, the Israeli forces intentionally cleared the Arab population from areas targeted for Jewish settlement, a process which began directly after WWII, and really continues to this day.

Your assertion, that there were no Palestinians prior to the establishment of Israel, and the the Jewish homeland was carved out of some uninhabited wilderness, is complete and utter propaganda. This region of the world has been inhabited for thousands of years, and much of it has been farmed intensively, and the Palestinians are not anonymous migrant workers, motivated by greed and envy to strike at the hand of their benefactor, Israel. They are the descendants of the people displaced by a blatant act of colonialism.

They are angry because they were colonized, and they know it. You'd be angry too.

However created, Israel absolutely has the right to exist and prosper as one of the nations of this region. But true peace will never be possible until the western world acknowledges what truly transpired in 1948, and both sides are willing to strike an agreement to which they'll adhere.

What a bunch of BS! But, that is on par for NBC. I guess if that is all you read, then you probably still think that the Ambassador to Libya and 3 others were killed as a result of a spontaneous protest to a video that no one saw.

The cease fire had been holding fast? Then what do you call the killing of 6 "presumed" spies and dragging them through the streets in celebration of killing them, after the cease fire? Once again the Israelis are being duped. As in the past, the only reasons Hamas wants a ceasefire is because they are being beaten and want time to regroup and get more weapons. Hamas is a recognized terrorist organization that even the UN agrees is a bunch of terrorists. Everyone knows that their objective is the destruction of Israel. That's why they've broken every ceasefire they've agreed to. And this will continue until Israel faces this reality and deals with it.

As Golda Meir said “We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children. We cannot forgive them for forcing us to kill their children. We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.” This is as true now as it was then.

Jonathan - Still at it, I see.

How did you arrive at the 80% figure as the percentage of world problems caused by Pakistan and Saudi Arabia?

Can you share the mathematical formula with us, so that we can validate your reasoning?

THEY ARE THE BIGGEST LIABILITIES ON EARTH HISTORY HAS EVER SEEN!

Quite a statement there, Jonathan. Just how would the collective evil actions of the "Pakis and Sunni Saudis", compare with those of Hitler's Germany between 1933 and 1945, or those of the Khmer Rouge in the 1970s, or those of Communist China in the "Great Leaps Forward" of the 1960s, during some of which it is estimated that 10s of millions of Chinese died of starvation.

An educated person might also reach back and contemplate the depredations of Genghis Khan, who invaded the Khwarezmid Empire in the 13th century and by some estimates, killed from half to three quarters of its inhabitants.

One might also examine the various religious wars of Europe, the activities of Attila the Hun, or of Tamerlane, if one were an educated and rational person, intent on deriving the truth.

Instead you just trumpet your personal opinions as some sort of universal truth.

Pathetic.

BTW: the "sanctions on Iranian oil and the resultant oil price manipulations" have absolutely nothing to do with "Pakis and Sunni Saudis". Iran is a non-Arab nation, and the majority of its people follow Shia sect of Islam.

Gaza is a no mans land controlled by a terrorists group that is on everyones terrorists list.Hamas had a small claim to legitimacy-not as a government-but as a co governor along with the PLO.When they brutally murdered their co governors they even lost that legitamacy.Turkey and Egypt by colaborating with hamas are aiding and abetting a terrorist gang. Iran.Syria ad others have been doing it for decades.Israel has suffered numerous attack and in Israel proper no in the "occupied" areas. The low keyed response of the Arabs suggests that these men were not just farmers.Israel has the right and obligation to protect its borders and population. These men can hardly claim innocence as they live in a terrorist strip of land. They know what they are about.Or did they just land from Mars and happened to take a stroll near Israel, the country that their "country"..some call it Hamastan" ,but you might equally call it "terroristlandia".They men knew exactly what they weer doing. And their words and actions pove this quite clearly!

we are all "God's" people....God did not make one piece of earth more holy than another.....and its really disgusting to hear how a man is massacred on his own land by people claiming to be suppressed.

The biggest problem with Israel, they want everyone to pay for one or a few people actions..."someone hurt your peeling, kill em all" says Israel...Israel cannot see people as lives, as humans, Israel, in Israel eyes, are oh my god such poor poor victims....., all they see is a religion, and they are the victim of other religions...and that, has made them evil...among others.

Israel, you are no longer a victim, haven't been for quiet some time now.....stop killing innocent people....just because they are on one piece of land over another....your land is worthless! Paid for by the blood of millions of lives on all sides....do you love it.

Let's address the truth, Israel is our ONLY ally and friend in the middle east. Now some history, under the Balfour declaration what is know today as Jordan was meant to be the "Palestinian" homeland. Rich, greedy Arab and Turk landowners gladly sold their farmland to the Zionist land commissions thereby disenfranchising their fellow Muslims--a bit of history that conveniently is ignored by Muslims.

Let's remember that Hamas started by shooting rockets into Israel, if I were Netanyahu not only would we have NOT had ceasefire, there would have been a ground incursion into Gaza and once and for all Hamas would be exterminated down to it's last terrorist.

Hamas needs to be rooted out of Gaza and exterminated. Every mosque in Gaza should be deconstructed that's where most of the armaments and launchers are to be found. Every member of Hamas should be rounded up and shot starting with Ismail Haniyah. Just line them up and mow them down--with bullets dipped in pig blood.

Next the entire Muslim population of Gaza and the West Bank should be deported and those areas incorporated into Israel. Jordan was supposed to be the "Palestinian" homeland, not Israel. JUST WHEN ARE THE FOOLS IN WASHINGTON, LONDON, BRUSSELS, GOING TO REALIZE THAT PEACE WITH ARABS IS A FALLACY. The stated goal of Islam is the extermination of the Jews--and that also means Christians.

The United States gives billions in aid to Egypt and the PLO and what is the money used for? In Gaza and West Bank textbooks are printed calling for the extermination of Jews--this tripe is taught to school children. Much of the infrastructure aid in Gaza is used to build rockets--prior to Iranian aid to Hamas, they would take our aid and instead of using for it's intended purpose they would make bombs and rockets. Hamas would buy hollow aluminum tubing and instead of using it for street lamps poles, it's ostensible purpose, the tubing would be used to make the fuselage for rockets and mortars.

The foreign aid the incompetent Obama admin gives to the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood government in Egypt is funneled to Hamas, Hezbollah and thence to Iran. Our government is funding terrorism under the guise of "foreign aid."

How many are aware that Hillary Clinton's lesbian paramour, Huma Abedine, is directly tied to the Muslim Brotherhood through her parents, grandparents, and brother? Now just who in the Benghazi massacre of Americans is culpable? Just who was it that gave the order to stand down and disallow aid to our citizens?

Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Leon Panetta, David Betrayus (the KY General), one of these four is guilty of murder. Obama is a eunuch and a pantywaist, probably not him he's too stupid. Panetta, he's too much the Party apparatchik. David Betrayus, apparently he would bend over for anything or one if got another star or more fruit for his salad, he's too afraid to make a decision on his own. I would lean towards Jarrett, after all she carries a disproportionate amount of power given her title. This woman even has a 24/7 secret service detail. Jarret also has ties to radicals....

WHY AREN'T THE PRESS AND CONGRESS ASKING SALIENT QUESTIONS? WHO GAVE THE ORDER DENYING AID TO OUR CITIZENS IN BENGHAZI? WHY WEREN'T ASSETS PUT IN PLACE TO ASSIST OUR PEOPLE? WHO TOLD THE CIA STATION TO STAND DOWN?

WHO IN THIS PATHETIC, INCOMPETENT, CORRUPT OBAMA ADMIN IS GUILTY FOR THE MURDER OF OUR CITIZENS AND THE SUBSEQUENT COVERUP? Ultimately Obama has to take the blame as Communist-in-Chief.

WHEN IS CONGRESS GOING TO INTRODUCE ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT AGAINST THIS CLOWN? THE LIST OF THINGS FOR WHICH OBAMA COULD BE IMPEACHED IS A MILE LONG: TREASON, CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT TREASON, INCOMPETENCE, LYING TO CONGRESS (BOTH HIMSELF AND THROUGH INTERMEDIARIES) THE LIST IS ENDLESS.

When is Clinton going to called to task? I found laughable and almost nauseating that this bovine is getting credit for a "ceasefire" that she had nothing to do with.

The Koran says, "Believers do not take People of the Book (Jews and Christians) for your friends.."

Muhammad (piss be upon him) said, "I am the prophet that slays."

The Koran, "Prophet it is not for you to make peace until you have committed wide slaughter in the land, strike off their heads (Jews and Christians) where ever you find them..."

Now more does it take for people to understand we are in a fight for country, and our way of life. Those with a tie to terror groups are inserted into the highest levels of our government. We have a president whose views are diametrically opposed to our Founders vision, Obama has inveterate hatred for our country and constitution.

Those with ties to terrorist groups or radicals that support the destruction of our country:

Barack Hussein Obama.

Hillary Clinton and her lover Huma Abedine.

Valerie Jarrett.

Eric Holder.

The vast majority of middle eastern tensions can be directly attributed to the fact that Israel is even there in the first place.

But they are there and their not going anywhere. Nor should they.

I am not Pro Israel. But I do believe they have the right to exist and I also believe that their neighbors will never allow them to do so peacefully. Being attacked is part of their National DNA now and, well, they do what they feel like they have to do to protect themselves. But the problem is, their not always the victims they make themselves out to be. They are often the aggressors.

So whats the answer? I do not even pretend to know. But I do know that Israel has the right to exist and to protect itself. But where do their rights end and the rights of their neighbors begin?

Let's address the truth, Israel is our ONLY ally and friend in the middle east.

Rob Johnson, this is absolutely false. Both Saudi Arabia and Turkey have been staunch supporters of U.S. interests in the region. Turkey, a democratic republic since the 1920s, has been a member of NATO since 1952. Saudi Arabia has preserved our fragile economy by increasing their oil output whenever world conditions demanded it.

Israel is an ally, historically linked by common interests, more recently by cultural and ethnic links. So too are these other nations. Moreover, our need for Israel as an ally pretty much ended with the cold war, now 20+ years in the past. Today, our alliance with Israel is more of a liability than an asset.

The rest of your ranting post is not worth a response, and that is the truth.

Why stop at 1948? Go back a little further and all peoples in North Africa/Middle East were all known as "Arabs" and "Palestine" was just the name of the region, not a country, that Israel now stands upon.

So it can be argued that Israel still is still populated by an Arab majority, you don't have to be muslim to be an Arab.

After WW2 Albert Einstein condemned the news media and universities of Europe for their cowardly silence, as Adolf Hitler accelerated to power. Where are the defenders of truth and free speech, he questioned.

I see the same irresponsible media frenzy happening today as radical Muslim powers throughout the world are slowly beginning to align themselves against Israel. They are banking on the ignorant general western public who lap up the spoon-fed hatred against Jews greedily and without research, debate or defiance. NBC news media reports that the persons killed in Israel were "splattered all over the place". Do the have no sense of decency? One of them was a pregnant Israeli women, which of course there is no mention of that. During the conflict, I was watching a report where they were attending to an injured child in the hospital in Gaza and there was 1 doctor and 10 cameras! Really? What are their motives? Greed, greed greed without a care for the real victims on both sides. Dig deep for the truth people, learn the difference between unbiased news and tabloid reporting.

So they say, reported as fact by NBC.

U.S. brokered truce??? Time to stop the Obama-Hillsarewe image enhancement. They paid off a terrorist in Egypt who gave Hamas their cut. And this was after Israel had already made a deal. Then after the two sides arranged the cease fire on their own,,,, they had to wait and keep killing each other for more than 24 hours so Hillsarewe could get the money for the slime Egypt leader, drop it off, get laughed at, and then fly off to Israel to take credit and have a smiling photo op. How many people died waiting for her to get there for the camera to take a picture? Stupid crap. These people make a living off terrorism... they aren't going to stop. In a few days, weeks, months... they will start blowing someone up again, Hillsarewe will be retired, and the President will send some UN Secretary or something out to blame someone or something for breaking his fine cease fire. So what.

Netanyahu and his team should use more brains.

They should keep away from Syria and Iran.

Meanwhile, Israel should clean up Gaza of Hamas, a Sunni Saudi front, right away.

Anyway, Hamas is going to break the truce.

Shortly, Sunni Saudis other fronts operating from Egypt like MB, Salaffi and others are going to bother Jews of Israel as Hamas has done!

      At least clear one front!

the payments to Egypt have been going on since 1960's each and every year to help keep Egypt from attacking Israel....they dont like Israel but have always keep peace for the US check....

we didnt just suddenly pay them off...current admin. has nothing to do with that, you can blame that one on the presidents from 1940-1970....and those who continue to pay off in the name "peace"

If Isreal would wake the %*^*^ up, and see that they are doing the murdering for the will of others! Israel, would you really kill a man in Gaza because Jonathan does not like them....

With the liberal Obama backing media reporting we may only hear a one sided BS news reports for the next four years. I am disgusted with the way NBC and the rest make Hamas (aka terrorists-remember?) sound like the victims when they have been attacking Israel for decades and added rockets supplied by the other nut jobs who have taken over since Obama's happy news of Arab Spring. The fools in our own country who are led by all this are too dumb to be believed.

Indeed, I'd surmize you've likely relied too heavily on Glenn Beck's twisted Mormon view of the world and the Middle East. Do yourself a favor, get off of Glenn Beck and pick up some credible history books and, no, I'm not talking about The Bible.

Look at the pictures... its about 10000 crazed "farmers" trying to wiggle into the cease fire zone. NBC and all this media nonsense is nothing but a propaganda forum for the Obama administration. Hell, the CBO just identified more than 10 billion dollars in kickback and double kickback laundered government money to several Obama fund raisers and dem congressmen and senators. The media buried the story completely. And ya, Egypt and about 200 countries have always been part of our foriegn aid budget... which was always about 1/17the the current single last payment to Egypt when adjusted for inflation. Super. We are paying off terrorist regimes so they wont hurt anyone. That is terrific. Great. We are really thinking there. Of course, this administration will pay off anyone if it will make the pres look good in the end for a few days. Nothing was settled. Israel agreed for two reasons... one to stop the bombings because the media was doing all it could to make them look like terrible people for defending themselves, and two because they know the crazy terrorists will be at it again after they spend all our money on new bombs and Israel will be able to give Obama an "in your face" response. Of course... they forget... slippery when wet Obama will just spin something out in the media to cover up as he always does.

Heres a more balanced article from Al Jazeera

      http://www.aljazeera.com/news/middleeast/2012/11/201211238226924973.html

And a picture of these peaceful farmers: http://i.imgur.com/febZw.png

One Palestinian has been killed and at least 10 others have been wounded after Israeli soldiers, stationed at the border line between the Gaza Strip and Israel, opened fire on them, medical sources say.

Health officials said Anwar Qdeih was hit in the head by Israeli gunfire on Friday after he approached the fence that runs between the town of Khan Younis and Israel - an area that Israel has long declared a no-go zone for Palestinians.

"Anwar was trying to put a Hamas flag on the fence," his relative Omar Qdeih, who was at the scene, said.

"The army fired three times into the air ... then they shot him in the head," he told Reuters news agency.

The incident happened two days after a truce was agreed between Israel and Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, after eight days of cross-border fighting that killed 163 Palestinians and six Israelis.

Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, said the incident marked a clear violation by Israeli forces of the terms of the truce.

Hamas "will raise this violation with Egyptian mediators to make sure that it does not happen again", he said.

Most of those approaching the fence were young men, the Associated Press news agency reported, but the crowds also included farmers hoping they could check on their farm lands in the buffer zone.

"The occupation forces opened fire on a group of farmers," Adham Abu Selmiya, Gaza emergency service spokesman, said.

      A no-go area

Al Jazeera's Nicole Johnston, reporting from Gaza City, said the farmers may have been confused about the current terms of access to the 400m-wide buffer zone as Wednesday's truce stipulates easing of travel restrictions.

They may have thought that they can now travel there, she said, adding that the shootings would "send a message" to Palestinians that the buffer zone is still a no-go area.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said soldiers fired warning shots into the air to push back about 300 Palestinians who had gathered at different locations along the fence and who were attempting to breach the border.

"After the rioters did not comply, the soldiers responded by firing toward the legs of the rioters," she said.

The Israeli army is able to shoot at people in the buffer zone without entering the area, our correspondent said.

Another Palestinian was wounded by Israeli gunfire from the border on Thursday, according to health officials, when the Israeli military said 200 Palestinian "rioters" approached the fence.

Israel's army constantly patrols the border area and says its forces have come under increasing attack this year, with
fighters planting explosive devices and firing an anti-tank missile on at least one occasion.

Both Israelis and Palestinians agreed to stop their hostilities under Wednesday's ceasefire agreement.

However, the brief document said details on access to the tense border zone would be worked out in the days ahead.

Forty minutes after the ceasefire was announced, Nader Abumaghasib, a 15-year-old boy, was killed by an unmanned drone.

Communism was one of the ideologies with shortest life span due to extreme violence.

Same fate will be for Islam. Most non-Muslims all over the world are furious with Muslims.

At this rate, Allah's prediction of demise of Islam in this century itself will become true and it may be faster than anticipated.

What the president wrote, when taking context in count, was in defence of the civil rights American-Muslims earned when becoming Citizens. He said he would back them, if the administration decided to pull a stunt like the one we pulled on American-Japanese citizens after Pearl Harbor by putting them in concentration camps.

"In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific reassurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

FedupwiththeFed is a Zionist that lives in Israel (he stated as much in one of his other posts talking about a "local" Jewish newspaper, he even provided a link) so there is no "convincing" him of anything. All of his posts are one sided, look at how many of them there are since this recent conflict broke out.

If only he did not get paid $1000 a year in U.S. taxpayers' money to do nothing, but come here and post B.S. that ensures the he and the other 6 million people in Israel get their 6 billion in aid every year from the U.S. He loves to cry about money we send to Muslim countries like Egypt when there are 90 million people in that country. At 2 billion a year in aid that is only $22 per person per year compared to the $1000 that each Jewish citizen gets. How does that even compare? Even if it only goes to buy "American" products like weapons, 6 billion a year in "free" stuff is still "free". Who paid for the Iron Dome btw? Was that Israel or the U.S.? IT WAS THE U.S. I am still waiting on my Uzi, Cornershot, or SS109 care/aid package from Israel.

He loves to talk about the genocide of all the Muslims in the Gaza strip, the destruction of the Dome of the Rock so that the Third Temple may be built, how no one lived there before the 1900s, how is it "their" land" when they did not give two chits about it for over 1000 years (there is something called squatters rights in this country), etc..

Who actually fired the first shots in the 6 day war of 1967 btw? Was it a Muslim country or was it Israel? IT WAS ISRAEL, so much for "peace" when you attack planes on the ground that are not even attempting to attack your country. Why not wait until they actually "attacked" you instead of actually starting the war? Zionists want that land/material and they will say or do anything to acquire it.

I could go back through all of fed's posts, but that would really be a waste of my time. Pretty sure anyone with a brain can tell how biased he and some of the other people here are. If you do not blindly support Israel then you are against them.

Imagine if the U.N., Congress, etc. gave back America to the Native American Indians, or even revoked the Louisiana Purchase for example. How many Americans would be happy about? How many would be happy about losing their rights, ability to vote, had to follow Indian law, customs, etc.? How many would start a war?

I feel sorry for both sides. Both want the same thing and are willing to kill each other over it plain and simple. Best thing to do is to remove the object in question since picking sides at this point might be a little unfair. The world would be a better place without that little piece of land plain and simple. Less people would die. Make the land uninhabitable for 1000 years or so. That will teach you morons to argue, fight, lie, cheat, steal, kill, etc. all over what is supposed to be "Holy Land". I have seen toilets/bathrooms that are treated better.

            Good Morning Chef!!

Great link!! Thanks for sharing the TRUTH that MSN wont tell us!

The IDF stated that a group of about 300 Palestinians approached the border fence in the southern Gaza Strip and held a violent disturbance along the border.

A number of the Palestinians attempted to break through the border fence into Israel. IDF soldiers initially fired shots into the air, but when warnings were not heeded, shots were directed at the suspects' legs, according to th IDF.

One armed Palestinian was apprehended in Israeli territory after having crossed the fence and was returned to Gaza by soldiers, the IDF stated.

A relative of the dead man, who was at the scene, told Reuters that Qdeih had been trying to place a Hamas flag on the fence. He added that an Israeli soldier had fired into the air three times before Qdeih was hit in the head by a bullet.

According to the terms of the accord, both Israelis and Palestinians agreed to stop their hostilities. However, the brief document left details on access to the tense border zone to be worked out in the days ahead.

Great job! This is NEVER going to work! So since Barry and Hillary are claiming THEY brokered the deal...this can be blamed on them?

            chefaz-1319563:

Let's try to be neutral about this, shall we? So a cease fire is in effect, and roughly 300 people (unarmed by the looks of the photo), threw rocks at the fence. I don't see guns. I don't see uniforms, I don't see organization. There's even a few women in the group. So they threw a few rocks, and Israel started shooting in the air. They didn't run off screaming, so the IDF fired "at their legs?" The article doesn't state there is any return fire from Gaza. For all intents and purposes, IDF fired their guns, Gaza hasn't yet done so.

Chucking rocks at a fence that keeps them penned in could be considered a "violent disturbance." By that definition, said rock is considered a weapon. The ONE guy who actually crossed the border was considered armed. So you're telling me if you're getting shot at, you just keep climbing a fence and don't shoot back? I'm assuming this "armed man" who walked right into the IDF force's hands likely had a rock in his hand or pocket. Otherwise, ask yourself why the unarmed on the Gaza side got shot, but this man not only crossed in front of them alive, but was apprehended and returned unharmed and not charged or taken into custody? Had he possessed a firearm of some sort, he would have been dead on the spot by all logic.

Medics said Anwar Qdeih, 23, was hit in the head by Israeli gunfire after he approached the security fence that runs along the Gaza frontier -- an area that Israel has long declared a no-go zone for Gazans.

A relative of the dead man, who was at the scene, told Reuters that Qdeih had been trying to place a Hamas flag on the fence. He added that an Israeli soldier had fired into the air three times before Qdeih was hit in the head by a bullet.

So he had a piece of cloth in his hand, and was trying to put a flag on a fence. How well do you suppose it would go over in our news if a Mexican was sticking a Mexico flag on our border fence...from the Mexico side of the border no less...and our border patrol agents put a bullet in his head? Mind you, shooting into the Gaza side of the border. While I agree the article you linked adds additional information on the story, I scarcely see how it justifies shooting at unarmed civilians. In neither article does it state IDF soldiers were struck by rocks, nor were they aimed at. Frustrated civilians threw a few rocks at a FENCE, and got shot at by an organized miltary. That is how I'm reading it. I by no way condone the stupidity of Hamas firing rockets, but throwing rocks at your neighbors fence is hardly an act of terrorism or a justified shooting. I'll also pointed out, the ARMED man was taken alive, while the unarmed got shot at. Something in this story doesn't add up, would you agree?

The article you linked to is on the Jerusalem Post- formerly the Palestine Post, which was always in favor of the Israeli "homesteading" of Palestine regardless of the conflicts that practice has always created.

As a consequence, it has come under attack by various Palestinian terrorists for the last fifty years.

It has a clear pro-Israeli bias and has fired people for speaking in favor of Palestinian agendas.

Is that article unbiased and accurate? Probably not- but neither is this one.

NBC has come under attack by CAMERA ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Committee_for_Accuracy_in_Middle_East_Reporting_in_America ) on more than one occasion- and has a bias of its own- like every other media organization out there.

The truth likely lies somewhere in the middle.

Regardless, additional information is always useful- because the whole story is rarely told by any one author or organization; there's a creeping tendency in journalism to convey only the elements of information that support your position on any given topic.

            Thanks for the link.

I am a liberal and stand firmly with Israels right (and necessity!) to exist. There is a Big problem. Palestine was always an area where Hebrews and various Arab peoples lived. Today things have changed. 99.3% of Gaza is Muslim only. Hamas, a terrorist group from Syria put itself in Charge and is still in conflict with the PLO. They were elected as much by force as choice. No other religions are allowed. If you are suspected of being an Israeli Sympathiser you are jailed, tortured and murdered. Your body is dragged through the streets as an example. Some people who live there feel they are Occupied by a fascious Hamas and would like them out. Strict Extremist Muslim retorict is taught. To kill all Jews and destroy Israel is the Mass Obsession.

How can Irsrael exist with any sense of Security or Peace with this Militant element Within? Sorry to have to say it, because its not 100% fair, but Palestine must be made all Israel or peace comes for NO ONE.

Muslims have to change this misguided Doctrine that All Jews must Die. No Question about it. ALL no one Must die. Not All Jews, all blacks, all Mexicans, all Republicans (grrrr), all Liberals, all Muslims, again....Muslims have to quit this Obsession but in Israel, they just have to move. Fair or not its the only Solution for any peace. They know this Hudna, or temporary peace for Muslims to rearm, regroup and take a break before the next attack. There is no word for "forever Peace" till all unbelievers are dead. By there own definitions, they cannot Stay in Israel because they will not change the Doctrine. (which isn't even really part of the Religion)

Conversion has to stop. Leave other people alone and that goes for the Capitalistic Market, Global Economic Control, Christains trying to baptise everyone, Muslims forcing conversion or death.

The other front with Hamas label has been giving constant troubles for the peaceful existence of Jews in their home land, Israel.

Two fronts will be too much. So better wipe out Hamas from the Gaza strip.

When Muslims are merciless in hating and killing non-Muslims and minority sect Muslims like Shiites, Sufis, and others why should we worry about Sunni Saudis and co version of Salaffi, Wahhabi, al Qaida, Taliban and other label ones?

Followers of Sunni Islamic cult have fast marched backwards to their seventh century tribal days stealing, looting, raping, kidnapping, killing and genocides of non-Muslims and their own Muslim minority sects like Shiites, Sufis, Ahmedias and minority tribes.

Assad is one of the best ME Muslim leader. Why can’t the Sunnis tolerate him?

If he is not acceptable to Sunnis, why a Shiite leader is not permitted to take over in Bahrain?

We see Muslims inventing problems in most of the non-Muslim nations and many Muslim nations.

Even in the US, we can notice these actions!

When Muslims form more than five percent, downhill march starts.

Muslims are inventing problems in Myanmar, Thailand, Philippines, India and other places.

When they form more than 30 percent then it is Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria, Lebanon (few decades back)

If Saudi Arabia and many Muslim nations do not permit non-Islamic religious places and scriptures, Muslims have no right to have their mosques, hate preaching and killer training centers, in non-Muslim nations.

If non-Muslims can’t live in peace in Muslim nations, Muslims don’t have any right to live in our nations.

Islam has to reform with times. If it fails to do then it will be end of Islam in this century itself as their Allah has predicted. It will follow communism!!

              's all good:

Apparently you missed the part where they were throwing rocks at a fence. It doesn't say at soldiers. And while you go over the great danger and death threat of throwing rocks, maybe you should inform every 10 year old boy in America's parents, since we all chucked rocks, be it at a tree to see how close we could get to a squirrel, or tossing them across a pond. While at it, perhaps we could ban baseball. Pitchers throw a larger "rock" and faster than any random woman or kid in Gaza can. I don't see too many fatalities at home plate. Now then, back to my point of throwing rocks at a FENCE, versus a baseball thrown within a foot of someone...

By the way, your reference states the car was FLIPPED over while they were being pelted with rocks. A car flipped over? Sounds like a mob. Doesn't take many rocks to kill an infant when surrounded by dozens or more people in close proximity. It's called stoning. You don't kill many Israelis when a fence is between you and you have a ton of distance, and they're just throwing rocks at a FENCE to express protest that there is a fence to begin with. Apples and oranges dude.

Hillary and Obama are just as bad as Hamas. They float around letting things escalate and people die, so they can come in with a suitcase full of money to be passed around and enhance their own images trying to look like the oh great and wonderful peace negotiators. They used death for personal gain just as much as the terrorists. Its horrible, but you got to do a little second level thinking to get there.

Gofigureit...Some obviously intend to do whatever is possible in the US to insure that Obama is NEVER going to be given credit for ANYTHING he does or doesn't do...How about get a life? All the bitching by the bitchy bois of the Angry White Middle Age Male Supremacists isn't cutting it anymore. No one gives a fat rat's patoot how low the right sinks in desperation to prove only they KNOW....and what is it they KNOW it all about? BS....most of these righties spend more time on their computers bashing the president of the US because oooochie coooochiee ...they didn't get THEIR way....oh how perfectly awful for these simpletons spoiled ass brats.

How about instead of always bashing everything and any petty BS thing, you actually get busy with something, anything more productive than bitching about the President all day long. It's 4 years old already and NO you won't change the minds of the people who voted for THIS president twice. You voted for a loser twice...and look where that got you. If right wing Republicans actually cared about their country, 4 years ago, they'd have shut those mouths, gotten off their asses and started to put this country back on its feet...instead, they squeezed the Middle Class until there's nothing but marrow in the bones.

Here Hillary and Obama did right. They should back Israel as the US has been doing right from its creation.

Hillary and Obama need to keep out of Syria and Iran. In those places, it is Shiites vs Sunni battles.

They should not fall to the traps of Sunni Saudis and co, oil companies, Christian right and their lobbyists just like Iraqi wars.

They should also remove sanctions on Iranian oil to weaken No. 1 enemy of the world, Sunni Saudis and their Sunni Islamic extremist Salaffi and Wahhabi versions and their hater and killers versions rampaging all around the world.

What is the Talmud? Well folks the Talmud is a collection of many books concerning Jewish oral law. it is believed to have been handed down to Moses by God and then passed on to the Prophets of the Tanakh (the Christian Old Testament). It is held in high esteem by Rabbis of many Jewish sects around the world (with the exception of Karaites) and is considered to be of higher authority than the Torah. Hmm very interesting. What does this Jewish Holy book say about me a mere goyyim ( note goyyim is derogatory word used to describe non jews). Lets see here are a few excerpts! Where a Jew Should Do Evil

Moed Kattan 17a: If a Jew is tempted to do evil he should go to a city where he is not known and do the evil there.

              Penalty for Disobeying Rabbis

Erubin 21b. Whosoever disobeys the rabbis deserves death and will be punished by being boiled in hot excrement in hell.

Hitting a Jew is the same as hitting God

Sanhedrin 58b. If a heathen (gentile) hits a Jew, the gentile must be killed.

              O.K. to Cheat Non-Jews

Sanhedrin 57a . A Jew need not pay a gentile ("Cuthean") the wages owed him for work.

              Jews Have Superior Legal Status

Baba Kamma 37b. "If an ox of an Israelite gores an ox of a Canaanite there is no liability; but if an ox of a Canaanite gores an ox of an Israelite...the payment is to be in full."

              Jews May Steal from Non-Jews

Baba Mezia 24a . If a Jew finds an object lost by a gentile ("heathen") it does not have to be returned. (Affirmed also in Baba Kamma 113b). Sanhedrin 76a. God will not spare a Jew who "marries his daughter to an old man or takes a wife for his infant son or returns a lost article to a Cuthean..."

Jews May Rob and Kill Non-Jews

Sanhedrin 57a . When a Jew murders a gentile ("Cuthean"), there will be no death penalty. What a Jew steals from a gentile he may keep.

Baba Kamma 37b. The gentiles are outside the protection of the law and God has "exposed their money to Israel."

              Jews May Lie to Non-Jews

Baba Kamma 113a. Jews may use lies ("subterfuges") to circumvent a Gentile.

              Non-Jewish Children are Sub-Human

Yebamoth 98a. All gentile children are animals.

Abodah Zarah 36b. Gentile girls are in a state of niddah (filth) from birth.

Abodah Zarah 22a-22b . Gentiles prefer sex with cows.

BTW you should see what thy holy Rabbis say about The Messiah Jesus...

I especially love this one because Muslims are always accused of using what is known as Taqqiyya i.e to lie to a non muslim to further the islamic cause so I hear.. But it is now exposed it is in the Jewish religion. Hmmm very interesting. Has America been lied to by the state of Israel..i.e the Jews..i dunno but check out this gem from the Talmud and ask yourself that question. Wake up people!!

I've always marveled at how The Bible, The Talmud and The Quran contain such similar language as it relates to treatment of their "enemies." That anyone would believe one over the other as being superior or written under any Divine authority is somewhat comical. I think this quote sums up all these factions and their How To Books quite well: "Man has succeeded in creating a god in his image when his god hates everything he hates." ~ Author unknown at the moment.

Get real people. None of these muslim asswipes could give a crap about religion. They want to get to the top and live in a protected palace and send a bunch of naive morons out to get killed so they can get a little more gold for the palace. Did the Egypt guy get off his fat ass and run to Hamas waving his arms telling them to stop? Nope. He sat in his palace waiting to smile back at Hillary and her sack of gold she brought. Did Bin Laden run out with a big old bomb stuck to his ass? Nope, he hid out in a big ass compound hidden by the people in the palace in Pakistan... while they laughed at us and gave us grief. Sanctions in Syria hurting the econonomy and starving the people... does the big killer sitting in the presidential palace on his 100 billion care? Nope, he just keeps killing his people year after year while they are being choked by our sanctions. Did the Libya dude get out there shooting guns at the rebels? Nope, packed up his loot in a truck and ran away until he was caught.. not with a gun or a bomb strapped to his ass, but in a ditch hiding and then begging for his life. Iraq... big killer of human beings... thumping his chest sitting on his hundred billion... did he get out to fight? Nope, ran and hid in a hole in the ground with his billions shipped all over the world waiting for him to come and get it... and when he was caught... more begging. Iran... dude out building nukes with his hundreds of billions causing havoc in the world from his palace.... our fine sanctions starving the people... does he care? Nope. He is up in his palace running around playing his games with the world. Saudi... they got their zillions of billions and are hiding out hoping no one asks them to get involved, because they kind of like the whole american money deal and their american lifestyle. You want to stop these butt heads... point a drone at their head and tell them to get lost or else... not hand them another bag full of gold to be good. Trust me, they wont fight, they are all wealthy caviar loving cowards down deep.

"I would think that there would be three very blatant flags when you first opened this website.

              1. This is a historical "revisionist" website; neither one of the authors are Jewish (and thus do NOT have an understanding of the Talmud, which is thousands of pages long); and a simple search on any (actual) Talmud will show that most of this garbage does not exist.

              2. The "authors" do not list their credentials on what is supposedly "scholarly" research.

              3. First sentence of "scholarly" research says "Talmud is Judaism's holiest book." This is blatantly wrong. The holiest book in Judaism is the Chumash. See points number 1 and 2, they tie well with 3.

Telling lies about the Talmud is a common anti-Semitic practice which takes advantage of the fact that most people don't even know what a Talmud is."

Sunni Muslims, especially Saudi varieties, believe in one-way traffic only. So how can others (non-Muslims and minority sects Muslims like Shiites, Sufis, Ahmedias and others) follow two way traffic?

And how long we can tolerate one-way traffic Sunni Islamic version of Muslims?

Hell with them. We had enough from them.

Screw the Israeli government and the murderous ways indoctrinated into the Israeli people from their infancy. They want their holy war, their WWIII and they are furious that they didn't get it last week. Shame on them, and their allies, including the US. The UN needs to grant statehood status to the Palestinians IMMEDIATELY. And the occupying Israelis should be shipped back off to their pre-WWII countries of origin. See how brave they are when they don't have hundreds of nuclear warheads and stolen land at their disposal. They are going to drag the entire world to the brink of annihilation just so they can play out some stupid self-fulfilling biblical prophecy. And the REAL lunacy of the situation is that so many sheeple thump their bibles right to the same beat and somehow think the Israelis are in the right and somehow entitled to the land they are occupying that to the heinous behavior they cannot seem to stop themselves from perpetuating. They are doing to the Gazans what was done to them in the Holocaust - and even worse, since it has been going on for decades and decades - yet somehow the western world seem to think it's okay to attempt genocide as long as you are not picking on Jews. Incredible.

whatmatters - Israel was built using American taxpayer money. Their strong defense was built with money and donations from America. Israel's best weapons are all American made.

The Israelis have been using those weapons to start wars and bully the Arabs of the region. There are many reasons for Arabs to hate the Israelis. It all started with the stealingof their land and killing of their people. Just prior to 1948, almost all the land was owed by Arabs.

"Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You do not
even know the names of these Arab villages, and I do not blame you because
geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not exist, the Arab
villages are not there either. Nahlal arose in the place of Mahlul; Kibbutz
Gvat in the place of Jibta; Kibbutz Sarid in the place of Huneifis; and Kefar
Yehushua in the place of Tal al-Shuman. There is not a single place built in
this country that did not have a former Arab population."

Moshe Dayan, address to the Technion, Haifa, reported in
                Haaretz, April 4, 1969.

Unfortunately, the truth is often the first victim in these conflicts. Here's the whole truth--

The quote is taken from an address Dayan gave to Technion University students on March 19, 1969. A transcript of the speech appeared in Ha'aretz on April 4, 1969.

In answer to a student's question suggesting that Israel adopt a policy of punishing Arabs who commit crimes in the West Bank by deportation to Jordan, Dayan answers that he is vehemently opposed to this idea, insisting that the answer to the longstanding Arab-Israeli problem is to learn to live together with Arab neighbors. He goes on to say:

We came to a region of land that was inhabited by Arabs, and we set up a Jewish state. In a considerable number of places, we purchased the land from Arabs and set up Jewish villages where there had once been Arab villages. You don't even know the names [of the previous Arab villages] and I don't blame you, because those geography books aren't around anymore. Not only the books, the villages aren't around. Nahalal was established in the place of Mahalul, and Gvat was established in the place of Jibta, Sarid in the place of Huneifis and Kfar Yehoshua in the place of Tel Shaman. There isn't any place that was established in an area where there had not at one time been an Arab settlement.

Dayan's conclusion was that the solution to the Arab-Israeli problem is to learn to coexist with them.

In the misquote, the key phrase "we purchased the land from Arabs" is omitted, and thus Dayan's meaning is reversed. Dayan was not saying that Arabs were dispossessed. On the contrary, he was indicating that though Arabs sold the land of their own free will, given their presence in the region, the Israeli goal is to live peacefully together with them.

                "MYTH

“The Palestinians have never been offered a state of their own.” top

                FACT

The Palestinians have actually had numerous opportunities to create an independent state, but have repeatedly rejected the offers:

In 1937, the Peel Commission proposed the partition of Palestine and the creation of an Arab state.

In 1939, the British White Paper proposed the creation of a unitary Arab state.

In 1947, the UN would have created an even larger Arab state as part of its partition plan.

The 1979 Egypt-Israel peace negotiations offered the Palestinians autonomy, which would almost certainly have led to full independence.

The Oslo agreements of the 1990s laid out a path for Palestinian independence, but the process was derailed by terrorism.

In 2000, Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered to create a Palestinian state in all of Gaza and 97 percent of the West Bank.

In 2008, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert offered to withdraw from almost the entire West Bank and partition Jerusalem on a demographic basis.

In addition, from 1948 to 1967, Israel did not control the West Bank. The Palestinians could have demanded an independent state from the Jordanians.

The Palestinians have spurned each of these opportunities. A variety of reasons have been given for why the Palestinians have in Abba Eban’s words, “never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity.” Historian Benny Morris has suggested that the Palestinians have religious, historical, and practical reasons for opposing an agreement with Israel. He says that “Arafat and his generation cannot give up the vision of the greater land of Israel for the Arabs. [This is true because] this is a holy land, Dar al-Islam [the world of Islam]. It was once in the hands of the Muslims, and it is inconceivable [to them] that infidels like us [the Israelis] would receive it.”

The Palestinians also believe that time is on their side. “They feel that demographics will defeat the Jews in one hundred or two hundred years, just like the Crusaders.” The Palestinians, Morris says, also hope the Arabs will acquire nuclear weapons in the future that will allow them to defeat Israel. 8

“Barak made a proposal that was as forthcoming as anyone in the world could imagine, and Arafat turned it down. If you have a country that’s a sliver and you can see three sides of it from a high hotel building, you’ve got to be careful what you give away and to whom you give it.”

                — U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld 9"

Procrustes - My quote was accurate. Your quote is just a bunch of hooey, written in an attempt to obvuscate the truth of the original quote. Zionists continually alpter history to make themselves appear in a more positive light.

your made up quote-"In a considerable number of places, we purchased the land from Arabs" means nothing. Sure they bought some land in a few places, but they did not buy cities and towns. Dayon was a war criminal, who never cared about anyone, except another Zionist Jew, the same as every other leader of Israel, past and present..

I am willing to bet the Protocals of the Elders of Zion was no forgery. The Zionists got caught with their pants down and made up the forgery angle to shield them from the terrible truth. Zionism and Israel is a plague on the rest of the world. The Israelis are leaches with their tentacles in America, sucking every ounce of support they can muster, though bribes and lies from the Zionist controlled media. Americans are catching on to the the game played by Zionists. We are sick of being used by greedy Zionist Jews.

If the quaint little old white Christian folk could get their heads out of the Bible for a second, they'd realise this is no longer a Christian country, it's run by clever Jewish people who now know the best place to control anything is from the back room. They manipulate the economy through the financial industry, own the media and entertainment. That's all they need, the money, the message and the diversion.

They'd laugh if they had a sense of humour, listening to the front fools talk to the people about the constitution and founding fathers while they talk among themselves about expanding power and profit.

After hundreds of years of their operating in the open, the Europeans saw what was going on and the Jewish people rushed over to England, wept for help and took over the banks and government. They saw the Brits had no idea how they were being used. The sympathetic Brits gave them Palestine.

Then they swarmed over here because America was, and still is, a child and they caught us in our diapers. It's too late, there's no escape, we're done. They've brainwashed puppets to spout ridiculous nonsense to us and because the puppets believe it so do we. Money is the drug and we're all addicted to it, but in reality it's not our money. It's a loan from the Federal Reserve, with interest and their best investments are in wars – enormous profit, they don't fight, they finance. Whitey waves flags and praises our military and police, how many Jewish people are cops and soldiers? They're not stupid, we are. We're foundering children.

Bashing all Jewish people for the actions of their leaders is stupid. That's exactly how Hitler managed to convince an entire nation of relatively intelligent Germans that anything Jewish was bad. It's also how the white supremacists in that nation began half century of spreading their angry white supremacy all over the planet.

The reality is you don't get anywhere bitching your lives away. It's time for some in the US to leave DogPatch, get aboard the Future Train and start thinking of advancement of their own society. If you are sitting there, bitching...you ARE the problem. Not the solution.

NBC's slogan: another day, another anti-Semitic smear job. How come you didn't mention the 20 missiles that terrorists fired at civilians after the truce? Or did you mention whether the guys entering the DMZ were armed? You would never know it from NBC reports, but Gaza is ruled by force by the Hamas terrorist organization. Hamas, by word and deed, has been waging a relentless war of annihilation against Israel even before their violent takeover of Gaza. They have been firing missiles at the civilian population in Israel and perpetrating cross border terrorist attacks for years. Over 10,000 missiles, rockets and mortars over the past 7 years and now over 1000 in the past week targeting civilians. They have caused many casualties and wide spread damage and have sent hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children into bomb shelters. You use lies and propaganda supplied by the terrorist bosses in Gaza and present it as news. NBC, have you no decency?

The reality is it takes two to tango. You don't have a war with one side only. It's time to step back, take a deep breath and begin to think objectively. Israel has a right to defend itself. It doesn't have the right to occupy land that doesn't belong to them. But, like all spoiled children, Israel will learn the lessons of consequences for the decisions they make.

The US can't constantly play "helicopter parents" to the whole world. Sometimes, children don't learn unless you let them fall and fall as hard as they can until their little butts have bruises.

President Obama knows Israel can take care of itself. There's a time for parents to step in and a time to let children fail. Today's success maniacs are so neurotically fearful of failure, they do everything they can to avoid it. And, in doing so, they never learn the lessons ONLY failure teaches.

Sorry Doug, I've watched how NBC has changed their stories to favor the Israelis since this recent conflict began. The original stories reported that Hamas fired on Israel in response to Israel attacking and killing one of their leaders. In a few hours that was changed to Israel attacking the leader in response to Hamas attacks. Bottom line is both sides are wrong and costing lives. Israel has the bigger gun so they're killing more civilians.

This Extreme Muslim group (Gaza is 99.3% Sunni Muslim) believe and teach All Jews must die. Israel cannot live with this inside it. Israel must exist.

Muslims could change their Doctrine but it would take Generations. It has become the Obsession. No permanent peace is Wanted with Israel. Only HUDNA or temporary calm while they regroup, rearm and prepare for Destruction. They CANNOT stay in Israel. They are not like ancient Palestineans. They are now forced and chosen Militant Muslim Converts. They cannot stay.

Of what 20 missiles are you referring? I know of no story where Hamas fired 20 missiles.

Referring to bottle rockets as missiles is a little over the top. When they fire their bottle rockets, they are not aiming at anything in particular, because being primitive weapons, they have no guidance.

Would you consider this radical ?

"We must expel Arabs and take their places."

"We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population."

"Jewish villages were built in the place of Arab villages. You do not even know the names of these Arab villages, and I do not blame you because geography books no longer exist. Not only do the books not exist, the Arab villages are not there either. Nahlal arose in the place of Mahlul; Kibbutz Gvat in the place of Jibta; Kibbutz Sarid in the place of Huneifis; and Kefar Yehushua in the place of Tal al-Shuman. There is not a single place built in this country that did not have a former Arab population."

Those are quotes from the father of Israel and first Israeli PM David Ben-Gurion.

"This country exists as the fulfillment of a promise made by God Himself. It would be ridiculous to ask it to account for its legitimacy."

                        Golda Meir, Israeli PM 1969-1974

"[The Palestinians] are beasts walking on two legs."

                        Menachem Begin, Israeli PM 1977-1983

"The settlement of the Land of Israel is the essence of Zionism. Without settlement, we will not fulfill Zionism. It's that simple."

"(The Palestinians) would be crushed like grasshoppers ... heads smashed against the boulders and walls."

                        Yitzhak Shamir, Israeli PM 1986-1992

These quotes don't sound like a peaceful country and government just trying to defend themselves. This sounds like a terror organization, or a religiously fundamental government like an Al-Qaeda or Iran.

                        Media Monitors (http://www.mediamonitors.net)

An article archived on the Media Monitors Web site is filled with questionable assertions and bogus quotes (some of which were debunked in Part I.) The following quote (which also appears on the MIFTAH Web site) was attributed to Israeli Northern District Commissioner Israel Koenig, supposedly from his controversial report on Israeli Arabs in Galilee:

We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation, and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population.

Source given: Cited in Lustick, Ian, Arabs in the Jewish State, University of Texas Press, Texas, 1980.

Investigation: Neither the source given (Ian Lustick's Arabs in the Jewish State) nor the actual report itself contains any mention of "terror, assassination, intimidation or land confiscation".

The Koenig Report or “memorandum” as it is sometimes referred to, was a private document of recommendations written in 1975 by civil servant Israel Koenig, the Interior Ministry’s official in charge of the Galilee, to alter the demographic balance of the region in favor of the Jews. The recommendations were rejected by then Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, denounced by senior Cabinet ministers and rued by then foreign minister Yigal Alon who expressed great regret that the recommendations were ever written. It provoked controversy within Israel after being leaked to Al Hamishmar, the publication of Israel’s Marxist party, Mapam. Koenig’s recommendations included expanding and strengthening Israel’s Jewish presence in the Galilee, applying legal consequences to Arabs expressing hostility toward the state and Zionism, enforcing tax collection from the Arab sector, cutting family subsidies to Arabs with large families, eliminating preferential acceptance of Arabs into Israeli universities, channeling Arab students into studying the physical and natural sciences rather than humanities, and encouraging young Arabs to study abroad and emigrate. As controversial as Koenig’s proposals were at the time, however, there was absolutely no suggestion of using "terror," "assassination," "intimidation" or "land confiscations."

                        Summary: Fabricated quote, false source

The area called Palestine must be part of Israel borders. These pockets of danger cannot stay if anyone truely wants Peace. A Muslim country could take them in and give them a city. Let them help build up somewhere else instead of Obsessing on how to tear down Israel. Maybe not 100% fair after Britain drew the borders ALL wrong for Oil concerns only, but its time to change the Borders Again. Palestine part of Israel or there will never ever be Peace. Thats Reality! Thats what we have to deal with. Not old maps or old farms or old ideas. This is what we have and this is how to deal it. The area of so-called "Palestine" is Israel for peace. Want peace????Change the borders!

richard.... 1967. they not only allowed the jews to win against the arabs, u.s ,uk and france did everything in their power to make sure that isreal was the winner. that is how the war that isreali's were losing so badly, turned around.

USA had not started helping Israel until 1973, even then it was only after tide was already turned in Israel's favor, and only because USSR threatened to start helping Egypt.

Israel was never loosing war of 1967, "so badly" or other vice, they were controlling Sinai within days.

Israel defeated an alliance of 7 Arab states, 3 times, completely on their own.

ELI... as i said it was the french and uk who helped isreal to win the 1967 war. there is no way the isrealis could've won that war w/o outside help. even in a documentary that I saw they talked about the mirraculously turn of event. or it could'v been the god himself.

Or may be your documentary was not objective.

The whole war took 6 days, hardly enough for the journey to the edge and back.

If Israel says it's a 'no go zone' you just don't go there. If all the Jew haters claiming Israel is draining US resources and running our government into the ground ever understood the truth, there might be a few more informed voters in this country. Not many, but a few.

I wonder why the news always tries to keep that fact on the down-low. These courageous freedom fights always seem to take refuge in schools, hospitals, and mosques.

It is apparent that you don't. There are areas where they can fight that are outside of densely populated centers. Nonetheless, they do hide in hospitals, Masjidin, and schools. And, then they use human shields and brainwash their children into wanting to die as martyrs by deliberately placing themselves in the line of fire for the cause.

You should watch some Palestine Authority television once in a while. All these children hoping that they will die as martyrs and be suicide bombers like their fathers and such... Teaching children how desirable it is to be muhajedin, that "Jews are Jews" and that their goal is to wipe out all Arabs, and that people will automatically go to Paradise for killing all Jews and that there are no innocent Jews... It's disgusting.

They also perform terrorism plays in school, right down to painting their hands red in imitation of those who dragged a couple men down from a window, crushed their skulls, dismembered their victims, and celebrated it all as a result of a false martyr. Have you seen some of the artwork?

No one should teach their children to be suicide bombers and to hate people different than themselves, particularly using the Hitler playbook, Mein Kampf. There is a very popular Arabic edition circulating around the Middle East (including among Palestinians) of a book that was banned by Israel. How can there be peace when those circumstances exist?

What am I reading here? The most antiSematic sites as in Arabic/neonazis 'de-enlightened forums'. There were rioters - 300 (three hundred)in the Gaza/Israeli border fence from Khan Younis- they destroyed part of the fence- IDF after trying to disperse the hjord of rioters fired warning shot- then shots at the legs to onrushing hjord. One rioter died -as reported from Gaza/Ma'an- one rioter escaped into Israel, later arrested and turned over to Gaza. Khalid Mashaal- to Turkish news (Anatolia news agency)that they will take Jerusalem and liberate the Occupied Territories (actionable threat).Al-Hayat reports that 3 rockets fired from Lebanon into Israel on Wednesday-the launching pads - it was the Palestinians who fired the rockets (UNIFIL/Lebanese Army investigation). In Egypt- riots after Morsy's usurping unconstitutional powers for himself negating Egyptian Supreme Court- in Alexandria,Cairo,Suez,Port Said,Ismailia- rioters have burnt MB headquarters- even throwing rocks at MB outside a mosque. Hesfailed- UNRWA since 1948 is footing the bill for schools, healthcare, food, housing. The extra monies from UN/aid orgs /ngos -the terrorists rather have guns/misery/ammo/reign of terror ad infinitum than plan a civil society resp0nsible for infrastructure, industry etc.

You are SO full of $h!t. Those are Israeli propaganda lies you are spewing. The ONLY news outlets on the effing PLANET reporting that load of horse crap are Israeli news outlets, and possibly the lying zionists over at Fox. The fact of the matter is that some Palestinians on the GAZA side of the fence were scavenging some parts off of a broken down vehicle and were shot at for doing so by IDF. One was murdered and 9 others were injured. For approaching a fence. Not for shooting at Israel, not even for threatening to shoot at Israel. Even the reported protests at the fence line - which were separate from this instance of senseless, needless murder - didn't involved Palestinians shooting into Israel. Those that were armed were armed with ROCKS.

And even after this travesty of justice, the Hamas leadership is STILL trying for diplomacy, taking the case to the Egyptian diplomats who brokered the current cease fire rather than retaliating in kind.

So, to break it down - Israelis broke the cease fire agreement, which indicated that neither side was to fire at the other. They did so for no reason other than to stoke their own over-inflated egos and sense of entitlement to territory that doesn't belong to them. They did so while continuing to imprison millions of Palestinians behind a blockade. They did so while being in violation of like 60 plus UN resolutions/mandates. And they did so with the effing support of IGNORANT, uneducated zionist sheeple who believe that any atrocity committed by Israel is somehow a wonderful act of their ridiculous god.

And you have the audacity to try to insult sensible, empathetic people by calling them names like anti-semitic and neonazis? For calling out the IDF and Israeli government for atrocious behavior?

Well, screw you, Mimi. You are clearly an idiot. Perhaps you should get your education somewhere other than the bible. Learn a little history and some basic human decency, then come back and tell me it's okay to kill unarmed people of a different faith as long as you happen to be Jewish.

I think you're all ignorant for believing that Israel and Palestinians will ever stop fighting, and even more ignorant to believe any news source as stating the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. These people are mortal enemies based on their religulous views and "holy books." Both sides are on a mission from a god. What part of that fails to resonate with you? There is nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing we or any other country can do to satiate either side. They want what they want, and both sides feel entitled to this tiny strip of land. So, to sum it up: Their god's, their religious guidebooks and subsequent mutual hatred compels them to war upon the other. That all important land is holy to them, and their religulous ideology commands them to fight. How does one fight against that sort of nonsense? Ever tried to change the hearts and minds of an enemy? Hint: You will fail.

If Israel is a legitimate state, why does it need anyone's recognition?

And what proof, aside from what was reported by the lying, warmongering Israeli media, do you have that Hamas was hiding rockets in any of the areas that Israel flattened last week? I'll tell you something, I watched a large portion of the conflict on live streaming video (I would be happy to provide links, and one of the cams was Reuters, a very legit news organization) and I saw not a single sign that the residential apartments that were destroyed had the capacity to house rocket launchers - especially not rocket launchers that were usable. Indeed, all Hamas rockets that I saw launched were launched from areas well away from residential areas and civilians.

Of course, Israel has to lie to save face, and even that's not working with the majority of the world, who sees them as they truly are.

And if Gaza is an independent entity, why is Israel fighting so hard to prevent them from being recognized at the UN? Perhaps it is because when they are finally recognized, and they will be soon, they will be granted some protection against the murderous rampages continually perpetrated by Israel...

141 Palestinians dead to Israel's 5. Israel continues to shoot and kill innocent Palestinians after the cease-fire was declared. But, of course, nerves in Tel Aviv are "jangled." I'm so sick of the blatant pro-Israel bias in the US media. (Another example -- which can also be seen on the nbc site this morning: Have you ever noticed that, whenever Israel is about to attack or has just attacked, our media starts running human-interest stories about the WWII holocaust, the Warsaw ghetto, etc...?)

The Holocaust was equal to what our government did to the Native Americans, two of the largest genocides in history. Despicable, disgraceful, horrendous, disgusting, evil, inhumane, genocidal, and numerous other adjectives.

But I don't know if many posters are aware of this based on what I'm reading, but the Holocaust was perpetrated by Nazi Germany and Adolf Hitler, NOT muslims. As a matter of fact the Nazi Germans and Hitler were christians !

So PLEASE stop the Hitler comparisons when discussing jewish/muslim conflicts in the Middle East.

All souls are eternal,so wars can't kill the soul of an evil person, and only God has the authority to send it to Hell, not man,so wars can't kill evil. Jesus says the body is a temple for God's Holy Spirit, but wars destroy the temple, wars are God's loss, and Satan's gain.

Obama helped hand victory to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood,When Hamas cranked up its rocket barrage against Israel ten days ago, numerous analysts asked: Why now? In retrospect, the answer appears obvious: Because Barack Obama had been re-elected and had a free hand.OBAMA praised the Muslim Brotherhood as a “largely secular” organization, the White House has made clear that it believes that the Brotherhood represents the wave of the future in the Middle East.

Anybody with any brains knows this cease fire will NOT last. Israel was stupid for not handling there business when there troops were already in place. You can NOT negotiate a peace deal with people who believe you should be wiped out. Like it or not, Israel is not going back to the pre-1967 borders anymore than we would give back Texas or the Southwest United States to Mexico. There will never be peace as long as that`s a condition. And if Obama and the rest of the world decide to turn there back on Israel if there attacked by a huge army and need help, Israel will have no choice but to use there nuclear weapons in self defense. It`s in the best interest of the world to keep the Hamas and Iranian supporters in check...Because Israel will defend itself, as would any other country.

seal the border between israel and gaza.

Sealing the border is great..Wish we would do that here in the U.S., but that won`t stop rockets and Iranian made missiles from flying out of Gaza into Israel. There is really only 2 solutions...Either the Palestinians go or the Israeli`s go..Now, we all know Israel isn`t going anywhere so that only leaves 1 other option. The 2 state idea will never work because the Palestinians believe Israel shouldn`t exist and is on there land and they want it ALL back.

The problem in the Middle East is and has been for the last 100 years Western Colonialism. The West occupies and attempts to control regions that don't want Western influences or ways of life. THAT'S why we have terrorist groups and incidents like 9/11. The reason we now have a fundamental religious regime in Iran is because the US/UK intelligence communities destroyed democracy in Iran for control of the oil. That led to almost 20 years of a UK/US run military junta that caused the muslims to overthrow that government in the '79 Iranian Revolution.

Ah, now there is attention on it. Oh, shooting at Israeli's does not matter. Did anyone listen to the details of our Ambassador in Bengazi? Sexually torchered, mutilaled etc according to the HAMAS PROTOCAL?!! Funny, no attention on that! Did you know Hamas used news reporters as human shields?
