Benny Kasriel, the mayor of Israeli settlement Maaleh Adumim (above) told NBC News that he was happy that his government decided to expand settlement building because his community needed more space.
TEL AVIV -- Israel faced sharp criticism Monday from several European governments over its decision to expand settlement building in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem following U.N. de facto recognition of Palestinian statehood.
In London, the British government summoned the Israeli ambassador to express disapproval of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's decision.
"We deplore the recent Israeli government decision to build 3,000 new housing units and unfreeze development in the E1 block (of East Jerusalem). This threatens the viability of the two-state solution," Britain's Foreign and Commonwealth Office said in a statement.
"The Israeli Ambassador to London, Daniel Taub, has been formally summoned to the Foreign Office this morning by the Minister for the Middle East, Alistair Burt," the statement said.
Stung by the U.N. General Assembly's upgrading of the Palestinians' status from "observer entity" to "non-member state," Israel said Friday it would build 3,000 more settler homes in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, areas Palestinians want for a future state, along with the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, the governments of France and Sweden summoned Israel's ambassadors in their respective capitals to discuss the issue, Reuters said.
Germany also urged Israel to refrain from expanding settlements and Russia said it viewed plans to put more new homes in the West Bank and East Jerusalem with serious concern.
The motion was backed by 138 nations, opposed by nine, while 41 members abstained -- a resounding defeat that exposed Israel's growing diplomatic isolation.
US slams Israel's decision to expand settlements
Britain and Germany were among those to abstain from the motion. France, Russian and Sweden all voted in favor of the Palestinians' upgraded status. The United States was one of nine countries to vote against the upgraded status.
Israel approves plans to build more than 3,000 homes in East Jerusalem. ITN's John Ray reports from Tel Aviv.
Despair over state of negotiations
In most part the controversy centers on Israel's threat to build on the five square-mile area of dusty hillside east of Jerusalem known, in unprepossessing planning speak, as E1.
What makes it important is that the land, between Jerusalem and the existing Jewish settlement at Maaleh Adumim, would in effect sever the West Bank in half. It would make impossible the establishment of a contiguous Palestinian state and has furthered despair at the prospects of a negotiated peace.
UN Palestinian statehood vote to be a personal political victory for Abbas

A Palestinian man works at a new housing development in the Jewish West Bank settlement of Maaleh Adumim on Sunday.
In another blow to the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank, Israel announced Sunday it would withhold Palestinian tax revenues for December, which are worth about $100 million.
Israel captured East Jerusalem and the West Bank -- lands that Palestinians want for a future state -- in a 1967 war. Settlements built there have routinely drawn almost pro forma world condemnation.
Palestinians had a major symbolic victory when the United Nations General Assembly voted overwhelmingly to recognize them, but the U.S. argued the new status could set back Palestinians in the path to peace. NBC's Andrea Mitchell reports.
While many international leaders, including U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, decried Netanyahu's decision, the mayor of Maaleh Adumim, the Israeli settlement and a city in the West Bank, told NBC News that he was "delighted" about the decision because his community really needed more space.
Benny Kasriel said he did not expect the government to cave in to international pressure, and invited Ban Ki-moon to visit Israel and the West Bank to see the facts on the ground.

Israel is going to continue building a modern, democratic, industrialized country and the so-called Palestinians will continue playing the victim.
Both the president of Gaza and the president of the West Bank have overstayed their terms of office, yet no elections are scheduled. Israelis will vote in a few months.
As long as the Arabs teach their children that all of Israel is occupied Palestine, there can be no peace, for there are no borders within which Israel would be tolerated.
amen! this story is ridiculous anyway. why dont they report on the dozens of rockets that have been fired from gaza into israel since the ceasefire? let israel expand. theyve done more with that land than the palestinians ever would or could.
It is about time someone with bal.s to stand up to Israel.
@tontosh... We could turn that frown upside down if we hung you by the balls :)
Yeah Procrustes, Israel wants to build their country on land the international community recognizes as belonging to the Palestinian people. They also want to build that paradise for Jews with money from American gentiles.
This is one gentile that resents my tax dollars going to a bunch of war mongering, thieving Zionist Jews in the ME. The Israeli are leaches on American society. Parasites, that are constantly angling to get more and more money from America.
Hopefully, the European governments and America will get some balls, isolate Israel and withdraw all aid to them. If America truly wants peace in the ME, we have to treat the 2 sides evenhandedly, something we have never done before.
“In violation of international law,
Israel has confiscated over 52 percent of the land in the West Bank and 30
percent of the Gaza Strip for military use or for settlement by Jewish
civilians...From 1967 to 1982, Israel’s military government demolished 1,338
Palestinian homes on the West Bank. Over this period, more than 300,000
Palestinians were detained without trial for various periods by Israeli
security forces. “Intifada: The Palestinian Uprising Against Israeli
Occupation,” ed. Lockman and Beinin.

determination and hence a ‘serious and increasing threat to international peace
and security.’ “ John Quigley, “Palestine and Israel: A Challenge to

Israel should be slapped with sanctions just like Iran. These warmongering land thieves should be stopped.
Peikovian,
The difference with me is that I have the bal.s to stand up to people like you, anytime.
The difference with you is that you need another million years to grow an opposable thumb. Sit on it when you get one.
The people of Israel do not want peace. Look at all they have done to avoid it. I am 55, I have listened to this since 1976 . . 36 years. The same issues they have today are the same issues they had then. This will never end without millions dieing and after the wars, the majority will rule. It is sickening to read this same story over and over again . . all talk no action ever.
The people of Israel live in an empire the size of New Jersey, and they have no oil. Doesn't seem very ambitious for a group that supposedly controls the world. Get sober and make amends.
As there are more victims of Islamic bigotary, hatred and killings, Sunni Saudi hater and killer organization Hamas will come no where in the list of victims.
Let non-Muslim and minority sect Muslims like Shiites, Sufis, Ahmedias and other victims of Sunni Saudi sponsored hater and killer gangs all over the world get justice first.
sirhan sirhan is quite mad. He craps in his hand and he posts it here.
Netanyahu should have been on top of this Palestinian bid ages ago. It has been a brutal oversight and has definitely damaged Israel's reputation. It also opens legal avenues in the U.N. and world court which will be awkward to say the least.
Netanyahu has had too many failures and needs to step down. Prevent unilateral Palestinian bid: FAIL Put money and support into Romney campaign for the win: FAIL Try to induce war with Iran: FAIL
Too many failures and a TON of wasted political capital. Netanyahu should put his country before himself and step down. He should follow the path of his wiser and more talented defense minister Ehud Barak, and call it quits.
The Israelis have had nothing but waffling, spineless leaders since the sad demise of Ariel Sharon. I hope a new vision will emerge, one that moves Israel progressively forward, rather than maintaining the status quo and blindly clinging to power.
Roger - plenty of Israelis want peace, as do Palestinians. Never brush the other side with broad strokes, that either means you've fallen for the propaganda or are propagating it.
Finally someone has had enough of the policy of the Apartheid State of Israel.
At least the Israelis make use of the land and work it instead of sitting around lamenting over nothing.
If Israel gave up the West Bank and East Jerusalem (Jews most Holy City, the City of King David), do you actually think that would bring peace. The Muslims wants Israel wiped off the map! (Hamas, Iran, Syria and now possibly Egypt.) The Muslim brotherhood and President (Dictator) Morsi, are no friends to America.
Do you actually expect Israel to be in a peace loving mood? Hamas vows to kill every living Jew in Israel. The surround Muslim countries (Egypt, Syria, and Jordan) have tried several times to invade and destroy Israel since 1948. The PLO have been attacking them since 1967, when Israel took the West bank and East Jerusalem from Jordan. Before 1967 only Muslims were allowed in East Jerusalem. Yasser Arafat was a murdering thug who killed thousand of Christians civilians in Lebanon.
Iran calls for the Arab world to destroy Israel every day.
China invaded and took Tibet in the 1950's (Which under international law would be illegal!)
Remember Israel is the USAs only true stable ally in the middle east. Israel is the only TRUE democracy in the Middle East (Yes, Turkey is a USA ally and a democracy, but are they are becoming more radical and becoming more non-secular and Unstable)
As long as Palestinians try to create a state without making peace with Israel,
I say build away and move in! Settlements should increase!
Israel is not an ally in any sense of the word. Israel relies on the US for money and weapons, but that does not make them an ally. No Israeli has ever fought alongside our men and women. Israel has not paid one shekel of our wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, despite the fact the wars were planned and sold by Zionists, led by Paul Wolfowitz.
Eric - It was Israel that decided to attack Egypt and Jordan inn 1967. Apparently, you still cling to the myth that Israel was attacked by all those Arab countries at once.
"The thesis that the danger of genocide was hanging over us in June

commander who, as Defense Minister in 1967, gave the order to conquer the
Golan...[said] many of the firefights with the Syrians were deliberately
provoked by Israel, and the kibbutz residents who pressed the Government to take
the Golan Heights did so less for security than for the farmland...[Dayan
stated] ‘They didn’t even try to hide their greed for the land...We would send
a tractor to plow some area where it wasn’t possible to do anything, in the
demilitarized area, and knew in advance that the Syrians would start to shoot.
If they didn’t shoot, we would tell the tractor to advance further, until in
the end the Syrians would get annoyed and shoot.
And then we would use artillery and
later the air force also, and that’s how it was...The Syrians, on the fourth
day of the war, were not a threat to us.’” The New York Times, May 11, 1997

Smart move Ben...keep the great work.
Settlements have always been one of the biggest blocks to peace. Neither side wants peace bad enough and both are to blame for the decades spent fighting.
In this case Israel deserve whatever backlash it gets from the international community. This was a very stupid move on the part of Netenyahu. He may as well be throwing gasoline onto a already burning fire! The end result is that it could very well get a lot of innocent people on both sides injured or killed. The increased building in the territories serves no purpose as Israel has no current housing shortage to begin with. Seems to me that Netenyahu is id doing this solely to get even with Abbas for going to the U.N.
Where's was the condemnation over Russia invading the democratic country of Georgia? Barely a peep was heard.
When the U.S. invaded Iraq to protect the Saudis (who actually caused 9-11) and make Cheney's company, Haliburton a few BILLION dollars, there was less outcry.
Why don't Americans worry about THEIR border and the billions they spend on illegal immigrants that kill, rape and molest? 24,000 Americans die each year because of illegal immigrants. But Americans are so concerned for radical Muslims.
As far as Europe, there are millions of Muslims that have immigrated there. America....get ready to get "culturally enriched."
Jew blood for oil. The Arab League has issued their ultimatum to the world.
The rabid Jew haters have now infested the MSNBC post site, but I doubt they mind. I just wish they would use their muslims names when posting their trash, instead of christian names.
eric-Remember Israel is the USAs only true stable ally in the middle east. Israel is the only TRUE democracy in the Middle East (Yes, Turkey is a USA ally and a democracy, but are they are becoming more radical and becoming more non-secular and Unstable)
Israel isn't our ally.An ally is one that brings advantage to a country. Israel costs us far more than they are worth. Over the years they have cost us billions in our treasure to support them. And yet have never fought in any of the wars we are in.In fact our problems in the ME,the dislike they have for us there, has as a root cause our support for Israel. And has resulted in the dangers we face in the ME.
Prior to WW2,America was seen in the Arab and Muslim world,as a friend. They knew we were opposed to the idea of Colonialism (that was one of FDR's,most fervent principals). And looked to us as a model of how a freed ex-colony could grow strong. Even after our support for the birth of Israel, until the end of the Eisenhower administration,we were thought of fondly (the Suez Crisis). But slowly, year by year,we began to be seen as one-sided in supporting Israel. Until today we are seen in the ME merely as a stooge for Israel.
Before Israel was created secularism in the ME was the most popular vision for the newly freed states. But as the populations there began to see the countries they had looked to as examples (the US and Europe).Give support for Israels treatment of the Palestinians, that view changed. The ultra-religious elements in those societies, started to preach that only a strict rule of Islam, purged of secular influences was the right path. And that westerners were not their friends, because they supported Israel. In several of Bin Ladin's speeches he said the main cause of his hatred for the US and the reason for the attacks on 9/11 was our support for Israel.
Yes,Israel is a "democracy".In the same way,Apartheid South Africa,or the Jim Crow South, was a democracy. Within the legal borders of Israel (pre-1967),its Arab citizens 26% of the population have the right to vote, true. But the laws of Israel make them 2nd class citizens at best,in their own country. But within the post-1967 areas that Israel occupies,or claims, the 4.5 million Palestinians there, live a true apartheid life. With almost no civil rights, and subject to military occupation laws in many areas, and to a Bantustan style situation in the rest of the land.
Most of the people throughout the world,(minus the US it seems) realize that Israel was allowed to be founded the way it was because of western guilt over the Holocaust. They tried to assuage their shame by shoving it on to another people to deal with (the Palestinians). While here in the US support for Israel is built on Holocaust guilt, US politics (Jewish votes and money i.e. Aipac,Shelton Adelson). And the unholy alliance of the Christian right and the Zionist Israeli movement.
But with the passing years western guilt is fading quickly,in Europe and the US. And while in the US because of politics and the Christian Zionist groups,pro-Israel support is still strong.Even here,it is fading.People here are waking up to the costs we are suffering for unqualified support of a racist Israel. We basically have no friends in the ME because of it.And in the rest of the world, they question why they should side with us over Israel (see UN vote, and this story for proof).
Unless we want to continue to be involved in war after war in the ME.Spend more billions in our tax dollars. And loose more and more of our friends around the world. We need to rethink our policy with Israel. We need to become the "honest broker" we wrongly claim we are. And force Israel to either negotiate fairly a two state solution,or end their apartheid policies and work on a one state solution. No matter what people may say, about Israel does what it wants no matter what. The US holds all the cards in this dispute. Israel could not survive as a viable state without our support, and they know it,even if many people here don't.

Uncle Bob 512
You missed a few decades there, Bob. You know, like when the palestinians would commit suicide bombings and kill innocent Israelis. Or the kidnapping and murder of the Israeli Olympic athletes, one of them having their genitals cut off and placed in his mouth. Or the years and years of rocket attacks on Israel. The bombings on buses isn't new.
And let's not forget the decades of attempts at peace, which were greeted by palestinians that vowed to wipe Israel and all of it's citizens off the map. They STILL won't negotiate.
But now that Israelis have built bomb shelters because of the terrorism, and have tightened up security so their children aren't killed by some crazy palestinian, they are the bad guys.
What were they thinking, trying to defend themselves?
As far as Israel is an ally.....do you know what Israel does for the U.S.? How many times has Israel covered for America? Ask the military since you, as a likely civilian, are in no position to know what happens behind the scenes.
BTW, Bob, you are considered an infidel to many extreme Muslims and it's NOT because the U.S. is friends with Israel. That is an excuse. Look at what they do to their own people.
Is pointing out the bias of MSNBC now qualify as a reason to be banned?
For all you anti Jew respondents here are a few facts. The Arabs since 1935 have been trying to exterminate the Jews and the Grand Mufti's statement from 1940 depicts the Arab desire to "CLEANSE" the middle east of Jews.
Amin al-Husayni, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Chairman of the Arab Higher Committee, had collaborated with Nazi Germany during World War II. In 1940, he asked the Axis Powers to acknowledge the Arab right "to settle the question of Jewish elements in Palestine and other Arab countries in accordance with the national and racial interests of the Arabs and along the lines similar to those used to solve the Jewish question in Germany and Italy.
The Jews were very happy to receive from the British Mandate by way of the U.N. the 5,000+ sq miles of land that they were bestowed to be their homeland. It was the Arabs who decided to kill every Jewish man, woman and child in 1948.
Since then the Jews fought several wars and returned to the Arabs huge amounts of land that they captured.
Comparing the land that the Jews occupy, it is 1/6 of 1% of all the lands that the Muslims occupy. The standard of living in Israel is between 1000% to 500% higher than in the neighbouring Muslim countries. Israel has about 3,000,000 citizens who are Muslims and they have the full rights of all Jewish citizens. They can leave and come back, hold Israeli passports and have the same high standard of living.
There is something called "TO THE VICTOR BELONGS THE SPOILS!" The Arabs, Muslims etc. have vowed to exterminate Israel. During history, many countries through war exacted as part of the victories, land from the vanquished and defeated country. Modern Europe appears nothing like it was 500 years ago. Therefore, Israel won the land defending itself and now has defensible borders and two peace treaties with two former enemies. The Palestinians want peace and a country. Cease hostilities and sign a peace treaty. Israel is not going to change its borders.
Arafat was offered 97% of the conquered territories in exchange for a peace treaty and walked on the deal.
Reminds me of the Hostess union workers who refused a 9% pay decrease in exchange for a guaranteed job.
So the Hostess workers have 0 and the Palestinians can whistle. They are never going to have Jerusalem or the land back. It was and is their decision.
Lanikai Ron First this news area is 100% nbc. Microsoft had the good sense to disassociate itself from nbc. Second, when msnbc bought a tiny addition, the policies of msnbc as it was then called changed from a free and open forum to one of censureship, expulsion, deletion and collapsing of comments.
The people who can't stand brutal self analysis and opinions that fly in face of their demands what should be written and accepted have resorted to these tactics to prohibit the free flow of ideas, thoughts and opinions. While I find the utterances of more than a few, stupid, arrogant, wrong, profane and ridiculous, it is necessary to see them to appreciate that these people exist in society and should be recognized.
Israel has ignored every UN resolution since 1947,over seventy of them, the US is not going to let Europe punish their middle east terrorist group, the argon, the stern,Israel invented terrorist tactics.
Condemning Israel for building on land that it won in its wars is ridiculous. The United States took land from England. Do you hear England taunting the U.S. about every building that is built on the colonies that England had?
The United States fought a war with Spain and today holds several pieces that it won as concessions from Spain after that war. Do you hear anything from Spain about the U.S. building on former lands owned by Spain?
The United States fought a war with Mexico and obtained huge amounts of land from Mexico. Do you hear anything from Mexico when a new development is built on land formerly owned by Mexico?
The Spanish lost Gibraltar to England and you don't hear the Spanish complaining to England over every housing development being built on Gibraltar.
John Nettles Russia, China, Iran, Eastern Germany, Iraq, Pakistan, India, many African countries have ignored U.N. resolutions. So what does your statement actually mean? The U.N. resolutions are agreed upon countries that have an axe to grind. How about the thousands of Cuba dissidents that are held in Castro's jails? There are resolutions against Cuba. What about the thousands of resolutions against what the Arab and Muslims countries have committed against human rights?
What about the resolutions against Pakistan and the warrants by the World Court against the men in the army and their superiors for crimes against humanity when they invaded India and East Pakistan?
What about the resolutions against the Russians for raping over 20,000,000 women when they overran Europe?
What about the disappearance of several hundred thousand German Prisoners of War?
When you compare those atrocities to building bomb proof housing for Israel's growing population that only wants to live in peace, the difference fails the test of fairness.
Todaysopinion, you are mistaken when you compare the US taking land from Britain to the situation in the middle east. Firstly, it was British subjects starting a new country in land they had to come to and taken from the native peoples. So the answer is yes, we do hear continuing commentary on the land stolen by the British and Spanish from the American Indians. Israel was put there by the western world. As such we have the responsibility to hold them accountable when they try to take additional lands from the surrounding people.
Israel has been looking for a fight for a number of months now. They were planning to invade Iran when Romney got elected because then they would have the backing of the US. Notice how fast the rhetoric changed when the President was reelected? Suddenly, they are after the Palestinians because they know bigotry in the US against Islam is at an all time high. They are trying to destablize the region and then draw the US into a war with Iran. The President has been smart enough to keep us out of that. We haven't recovered from the two wars Bush got us into. Are you willing to support Israel all the way if it means getting us into another war we can't pay for?
I favor no side in this and feel we need to stay out of the trouble in the middle east. That region has been at war with each other since civilizations first began. Who are we to get involved and think we can change that? Let them kill each other off with no weapons or cash from us. Look for new sources of oil and alternative fuels so we have no need for them. If China needs their oil, they can go in and clean up the mess. We need to be out of the middle east both financially and militarily.
Israel never needed to look for a fight, the fight always found them. Nor did they ever need to destabilize the region, it was never stable to begin with.
What exactly changed with president reelected?
Settlements were already being built, there were already rockets flying in from Gaza, and Israel was already responding to rockets. Iran was threatening Israel and Israel was threatening back.
Nothing changed with president's reelection everything is exactly the same.
Israel is fighting back against those who attack them, if the only land they ever took in those battles was theirs to begin with and/or was crucial for proper defense. They will continue fighting for survival with or without American help.
Sure, ti's a good idea for USA to invest into local oil production and alternative fuels instead of buying oil form Islamic states, but don't expect good Muslims to instantly become your friends. Their lives will become worst, and their leaders will still blame the West. They will need to blow something up in your neighborhood to make themselves feel better.
jw-You missed a few decades there, Bob.
The Palestinians aren't monolithic (nor the Israelis for that matter). There are groups that turned to terror after giving up on the Israelis ever making peace. And there are groups that rejected the use of terror. Confusing millions of Palestinians with terrorism is an old Israeli game. Its doesn't work anymore, people are getting smarter than that.
And let's not forget the decades of attempts at peace, which were greeted by palestinians that vowed to wipe Israel and all of it's citizens off the map. They STILL won't negotiate.
A long time age the PA accepted Israel. This is an old Israeli ruse meant to fool people that don't study the ME.
But now that Israelis have built bomb shelters because of the terrorism, and have tightened up security so their children aren't killed by some crazy palestinian, they are the bad guys.
The occupation of Palestine, the land thefts, the military regime, the settlers, the beating, jailing, and killing of Palestinians makes them the bad guys.
What were they thinking, trying to defend themselves?
As far as Israel is an ally.....do you know what Israel does for the U.S.? How many times has Israel covered for America? Ask the military since you, as a likely civilian, are in no position to know what happens behind the scenes.
How about you letting all us unenlightened Americans about "all" Israel does for us. I told you in my previous post why Israel wasn't a real ally, show me I'm wrong.
BTW, Bob, you are considered an infidel to many extreme Muslims and it's NOT because the U.S. is friends with Israel. That is an excuse. Look at what they do to their own people.
Yes,the rise of extremist elements in the ME is another "gift" the Israelis have given the west. When Arab secular regimes weren't able to get the west's support in stopping Israeli aggression. And the west was seen as siding with Israel, you had the extremists able to convince people that it was because they weren't Muslim enough.
"How about you letting all us unenlightened Americans about "all" Israel does for us. I told you in my previous post why Israel wasn't a real ally, show me I'm wrong."
1) They share their tech discoveries, which allows USA to make investments.
2) They share military training and intelligence.
3) They serve as the front line in the battle between West and the Islamists (who, in spite of your believes hate West for reasons that have nothing to do with Israel)
4) Even the money that we give to Israel do not go to waste, as a precondition they are all used to purchase weapons here in USA and create jobs (something you want be able to say about aid to Pakistan, Egypt or Palestine)
Now, how about you enlighten the rest of us and tell us about something that Palestinian leaders did to show how much they want peace, and please something other than PA supposedly saying that they recognize Israel, but not as Jewish state, as is still pushing for the "right of return" aka "Israel's destruction".
Todayopinion, I had to go back and reread your posts above and can see ahere you are coming from and agree with you 100%!
Witty one, your statement is the one I think is mistaken. You need to go back and refresh yourself on world history. Please provide documentation backing up your claims regarding who is complaining about the U.S. or Great Britain having stolen lands. The only concession I will make to your claims is that I feel we, the U.S. did in fact deal poorly with Native Americans on their lands. The rest I leave to you to back up.

U.S. gives billions of dollars in foreign aid to world's richest countries - then asks to borrow it back
The Congressional Research Service released the report last month which shows that in 2010 the U.S. handed out a total of $1.4bn to 16 foreign countries that held at least $10bn in Treasury securities.

European leaders should mind their own business and worry about their own people instead of bothering much about ME or acting as agents of Sunni Saudis, oil companies and their lobbyists.
During Iraqi wars, it looked like that British, French, German and many EU leaders had sold themselves.
They jumped into Iraqi wars and Afghan war along with US forces; when things got tough they started hiding in tents or in non-combatanat roles; then started withdrawing their forces or running with their forces.
High oil price manipulations by the con artists Sunni Saudi and co gave Europe PIIGS. Many nations are bankrupt and there are huge unemployment.
Instead of bothering about their own people, why are the same actors jumping on Gaza, Syria, Iran and other places?
If they can't jump properaly, whey jump, dance and do dramas?
It is 21st century and old empires are no longer there!
Ah, the European should mind their own business when the israeli bullies steal palestinian land..and then cry antisemitism. but its ok for you to criticise and demonise the egyptian election. HYPOCRITE.
THE WHOLE WORLD IS LEARNING THAT THE ISRAELIS NEVER HAD THE INTENTION TO MAKE PEACE WITH THE PALESTINIANS OR ALLOW A PALESTIAN STATE TO BE BORN. what was taken by force can only be taken by force. The israeli gov are a bunch of amoral terrorists.
The only way to deter israels aggression is for iran to build NUKES AND FAST
Jihad = Kampf, except with more praying.
@ok so... Maybe if you were a nuke mule, carrying a nuke in your colon. Let's have a team of Jihadis who need their virgin work on you to get you ready for your divine mission.
OK SO
These backward blind people are just too ignorant to understand that when you start a war and lose, there are consequences to your stupidity. A very old quote about war, "To the victor goes the spoils." If an enemy encroaches one mile onto your land and while defending yourself you push them back into their land two miles, they lose one mile. It is very simple math. Get it? You hide and shoot off your rockets from civilian areas and cry when you receive return fire? Your women's and children's blood is on your own hands. I will shed no tears for the ignorant virus carriers known as islamists nor should the rest of the civilized world they are trying to infect with their disease.
"Life is tough, it is even tougher when you are stupid" John Wayne
The NAZIs had Auschwitz, the Jews have Gaza.
Current Israel and other nearby regions originally belonged to Jews. Muslims came later and drove out the Jews through swords!
Israel should clear the dangerous Sunni Saudi front Hamas from the Gaza strip as more dangerous Sunni Saudi Morsi and Muslim Blood Hounds are taking over in Egypt!
Jews have a right to their original place. As it is bombs in 21st century, they should use them instead of swords.
Wrong will be set right by clearing the Hamas!
@Xira Arien... How perfectly psychopathic of you. Gaza had autonomy and voted for a one-party police state, civil war with Palestine, sharia law, and random attacks on Israel that resulted in a military blockade. How long have you had the illusion that you still perceive reality?
Jonathon said:
That is tactically unsound. Bombs can be as easily used against Israel as for it. Considering it's land mass living by that mantra is damn near suicidal. I recall an oft-used phrase "live by the sword, die by the sword"
Jonathon said:
What happened when Israel went to such great lengths to eliminate the PLO from Lebanon? It was merely replaced by Hezbollah. Cut the head off the dragon and another one appears. You of all people should know this. Usually I agree with you Jonathon, but I must differ on these points.
Jihadis are like flies on dung. Nothing changes.
I liked that John Wayne quote: "Life is tough, it is even tougher when you are stupid". I think life must be extremely tough for most of the people on this thread. As a result of the Indian Wars, we (the USA) defeated the numerous indigenous Indian tribes and then took their land. Are we to give the land back to the various Indian Tribes??? Think about the "logic" you use before you state it. The "logic" I read in this thread is seriously flawed.
Israel is surrounded by the same animals who beheaded many of our own countrymen, and who want Israel's total destruction. 1967 proved to be an almost miraculous victory for the tiny State of Israel. And now, the pathetic International community essentially votes against Israel in favor of Jihadist intentions? Well, if ownership is 80% defined by occupation, then I am happy to see Israel thumb their nose at the European nations, most of whom are too cowardly to stand up to Jihad! France and Germany I can understand. But Britain should know better, for she too stood alone in 1940 against Nazism.
Israel is fighting for her life against those who are truly evil and live for her destruction. If we too abandon Israel and leave her to stand alone against Jihadism, then shame on us as well. (And by the way, not that it matters, but I am not Jewish. I fought with the 101st ABN DIV and 173 ABN BDE as a Ranger so I know how ugly war can be. But Chamberlain taught us how effective appeasement can be as well!!)
God be with you, Israel!
I say have Israel give back the land to the terrorist palestinians with just ONE condition. Just one.... If ANY palestinian bombs, kills a citizen or shoots a rocket into Israel, then Israel is allowed to use full military force against the palestinians. None of this nice guy Israeli "surgical strikes", no "knock bombs"....full out war against every palestinian
Anyone want to bet how long the palestinians will keep peace, even WITH their land?
@FDJLakers: Most of my family died in the Holocaust and I served in the IDF. I salute you sir, and may God be with you as well.
The only way to stop the Israeli land grab, which is designed to humiliate and sever a viable Palestinian State is to also sever the billions of American tax dollars that flow to Israel every year. That will get their attention, and show the seriousness of the situation.
Solving the Israeli-Palestinian problem is the key to solving the problems in the Middle East, which drain tax dollars and military resources from American taxpayers.
Hamas has shown the way for the Palestinians, in a most horrible way. They attack Israel, and get support. Abbas gets humiliated, and it demonstrates to Palestinians that talk gets nothing but further humiliation.
Online Jihadis are the anuus-lickers of the war.
Ah Peikovian, a new Zionist troll pushing Zionist propaganda and lies.
Too bad it won't work. The internet has provided the resources for people to educate themselves and reveal the chain of Zionist lies that have been perpetuated by the Zionist controlled media.
Examples: "The thesis that the danger of genocide was hanging over us in June
1967 and that Israel was fighting for its physical existence is only bluff,
which was born and developed after the war."
Israeli General Matityahu Peled, Ha'aretz, 19 March 1972.
“I do not think Nasser wanted war.
The two divisions he sent to The Sinai would not have been sufficient to launch
an offensive war. He knew it and we knew it.” Yitzhak Rabin, Israel’s Chief
of Staff in 1967, in Le Monde, 2/28/68
“Moshe Dayan, the celebrated
commander who, as Defense Minister in 1967, gave the order to conquer the
Golan...[said] many of the firefights with the Syrians were deliberately
provoked by Israel, and the kibbutz residents who pressed the Government to take
the Golan Heights did so less for security than for the farmland...[Dayan
stated] ‘They didn’t even try to hide their greed for the land...We would send
a tractor to plow some area where it wasn’t possible to do anything, in the
demilitarized area, and knew in advance that the Syrians would start to shoot.
If they didn’t shoot, we would tell the tractor to advance further, until in
the end the Syrians would get annoyed and shoot.
And then we would use artillery and
later the air force also, and that’s how it was...The Syrians, on the fourth
day of the war, were not a threat to us.’” The New York Times, May 11, 1997
Ah, RalphH, exactly the kind of virgin each Jihadi was promised in the prison showers.
thats all you had to say? you couldnt refute the statements of the warmongers, could you?
I can say you're the child of two related whoures, and a camel.
Are you saying Judaism is any different than Islam or Christianity? Same prophets, same violence, same fairy tales. Don't make this religious as if Islam is the only religion that makes promises to it's holy warriors.
Are we to believe that a woman turned into salt because she looked at the destruction of a city? How about a snake that offered a human an apple? Red Sea parting, big boat carries people and animals to breed?
Keep smoking the crack fairy dust.
Jews only waste their own time. They don't seek or demand converts. That makes them different than Christianity and Islam. Examine your own crack.
You are the one that said that virgins are promised to the Muslim fighters. This coming from a country full of people who say God signed the deed to their lands.
Cracks back on you...

Wrong. Ignorance is the refuge of the idiot. I'm assuming you aren't Jewish then or perhaps sadly, an illiterate Jew. If you are going to comment on Jewish history, at least be familiar with it. Have you never read Josephus? You should - it is an important work.
G_d gave you a mind - use it to it's full potential!
The Human Centipede, Nazi-Jihadi Sequence.
I have a message to the Israelis. A very short one, from a non-Jew....
Non carborundum bastardus.
For those of you who do not do their homework, I support Israel for compelling reasons, and the pseudo-Latin remark I make has, for me, more appeal than its correct translation.
And those of you weeping for those poor devout Islamics, I suggest you read Sura 9 of the original Qu'ran translation into English by Muslim scholars. There are no holds barred in Mohammed's religious philosophy.
Peikovian is another tough troll behind the keyboard. As soon as I'm done with your mama, I going to tell her your trolling instead of doing your homework. tool.
I happen to disagree with you, and you happen to be wrong. It's now 1433. When it's 2012 where you are, explain yourself.
Well, Pievian... I am not sure to whom you are addressing your No. 3.13 comment nor if 1433 is a date? B.C. or A.D.? either should be germane, I think... but there is a quotation I might suggest....
"He who does not study the past, is doomed to repeat it."
Very powerful text,Eric.! But more importantly very true ! Keep fighting so people can see the great danger of Islamic terrorism. And also to state the true history that can be verified by newspaper and other accounts since Israel has been a state. The big lie nazi school of lies and invented fractured history must be exposed wherever it raises its head. Keep fighting.Don´t get discuraged. There are many people with you!
Europe whoures itself for Arab/Muslim oil. Europe is ruined financially, and it was their genocide that murdered 2/3 of the European Jews. Most Israelis are refugees from Arab/Muslim countries. History records the following attacks made against Jews by Arabs/Muslims before WW1 -- Aleppo 1850, 1875 Damascus 1840, 1848, 1890 Beirut 1862, 1874 Dayr al-Qamar 1847 Jaffa 1876 Jerusalem 1847, 1870, 1895 Cairo 1844, 1890, 1901–02 Mansura 1877 Alexandria 1870, 1882, 1901–07 Port Said 1903, 1908 Damanhur 1871, 1873, 1877, 1891. Therefore screw the Europeans and screw the Jihadis.
Peikovian-Therefore screw the Europeans and screw the Jihadis.
Good then you won't mind when those "bad" Europeans cut of trade with Israel and decide on sanctions. You can go it alone right. Just you trading with the US,screw the rest of the world right, lol.
Europeans will never cut trade with Israel, they know a good deal when they see one.
Many Arabs, by the way, can't keep from trading with Israel either.
Eli-Europeans will never cut trade with Israel, they know a good deal when they see one.
Many Arabs, by the way, can't keep from trading with Israel either.
That's what the South Africans used to say too. How'd that work out for them.
Feel free to compare Israeli contributions to business and science to those of South Africa.
Also, I hoe you are not using any tech with Intel chips, you might get a heart attack if you find out where they were invented.
Also, I know many pro-Islamists enjoy comparing to Israel to South Africa, I always invite those to google "Arab members of Knesset" to find out exactly how idiotic that comparison sounds.
Europe turns on the Jews..........what's new about that?
Further, B.O. continues to lead from behind.
The history of the world is filled with wars and changing tribal and national borders as a result of those wars. "To the victor go the spoils" has always been the way the world works, like it or not. The growth of neighborhoods in Jerusalem or in the West Bank are natural with an expanding population. The lands have been bought and paid for. In cases of "illegal" settlements, the courts have ruled them disbanded, and thousands of inhabitants have had to pick up and move. The world has many more pressing concerns than this: e.g. Syria's ruler murdering 40,000 of his own people; the continued slaughters in places like Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria, the second class status of Coptic Christians in Egypt, the thuggish lunatic government in Iran, and the absolute intolerance of non-Muslims in places like Saudi Arabia. The ethnic cleansing of the Jewish people from the West Bank as espoused by the 56 nation Islamic block in the UN and their sympathizers has no validity.
"To the victor go the spoils" has been declared illegal by the preponderance of the world community. It appears Israel wants to live outside the world community, by it's actions of ignoring international laws.
The only solution is for the world community to ignore Israel, as the pariah they have become, and boycott their products. If that is done, the Israeli terrorists will have to come into line or be strangled economically, until their people starve. America cannot afford to keep supporting deadbeat parasites and thieves.
End all aid to Israel.
Any law that declares "To the victor go the spoils" illegal will be worth the paper it's written on the day USA returns southern California to Mexico and Russia returns Kaliningrad aka Kuningsberg to Germany. Until then feel free to use it for toilet paper.
Israel lives by exact same rules as the rest of the world, even though some try to selectively enforce the rules, but the day of special restrictions for Jews only are long gone, no matter how much you miss them.
Ok so for those who are advocating “to the victor go the spoils” and using historical examples to back it up, well it’s clear that you do not understand how law works or is applied. Put frankly the examples you all cited do not count as they were done before international law was changed, and since law is not retro-actively enforced, again do not apply.
Israel relinquished Gaza in 2005 to the police state Gazans deserve. Jordan relinquished the West Bank in 1988, and the Israelis have been repopulating sectors ethnically-cleansed of Jews since 1948.
This part of the world is so unattractive, yet people will move there just to piss off someone else just to shove it in their face to prove they can do what they want to do. Israel and others in this area are like school yard troublemakers that behave outrageously then act surprised when the world and others push back. There gene pool is made up with fighting and conflict. If they had peace they would be miserable.
why do you think the US is so invested in that region? it doesnt make sense, does it?
It makes sense to quarantine Jihadistan for the next thousand years.
It makes sense to everyone who knows where gasoline comes from.
Until you have been forcibly removed from the land that your family has lived on for generations and forced to live in a crowded slum, you will never understand the plight of the Palestinians.
These former Syrians live in apartheid camps built by other former Syrians in lands the Jews did not control.
There's a town in the Amazon rainforest where poor unfortunate third-generation Nazis are estranged from their former homes in Germany. I'll bet they understand the plight of the Palestinians just as you do.
Truly, I can piss in my pants laughing at this OP. Displaced people!
Yeah, Jews, who have at one time been chased out of just about every country. Jews, who have been nearly exterminated by the inquisition and Nazis. Jews, who have been scapegoated for everything including the black plague and failed crops. Jews, who have had their lands, money and possessions confiscated all throughout Europe. Jews, who had to endure the toothless, hayseed bigots of the American south with signs reading, NO Dogs or Jews Allowed.
Yeah. Poor, poor palestinians. My hemorrhoids bleed for them. GMAFB!
Adding...
Jews, forcibly removed from the lands their families have lived on for generations and forced to live in crowded slums. Anyone see Fiddler on the Roof? It's not just a musical. It's a truthful enactment of the Russian Pogroms. Can also add, Jews, who were pulled from their homes and beaten, raped and slaughtered.
Yet poor palestinians. Let one of the other 19 Muslim countries give them a plot of land.
Alright so according to your logic Santhosha, we need to screw over Palestine in order to accommodate Jews? We need to make the people who had hardly nothing to do with the treatment of Jews pay for what Europeans have done?
Look, I'm all for a Jewish State and a Palestine State, but this illegal land grab by Israel is wrong. Palestinians want their own state, and they should have it. This childish move by Israel is just a response to the U.N. upgrading Palestine's status.
First of all, Palestinians are not paying for what Europeans have done, they are paying for what Palestinians have done, that includes suicidal bombings, rocket attacks and lynching mobs.
Second, this is not "illegal land grab" it's taking ground in a war that Palestinians refuse to end.
Third, most supporters of Israel, including yours truly, are all for a Palestinians state. However, that state will have to be the kind of state that does not attack Israel, that's all.
Palestinians will stop loosing ground the moment they agree to negotiate with Israel and set the borders that both sides will respect, that's all it takes.
The flushing toilet that was and is Palestine, dragging into itself all the collected waste of the Greater Syria region, hoping to outpopulate the non-Muslims there and continue the centuries of dhimmitude which you are no longer permitted.
There is simply no excuse for any American, of any racial, religious or national background, to be uninformed or misinformed about the dangerously insane war being waged by Jihadists across the globe. They have killed more Muslims than anyone, and they interfere with legitimate government everywhere they can. They can't use "Zionism" as their excuse for enslaving or beheading Africans. They can't use "Zionism" as their excuse for kidnapping and beheading Catholics in the Philippines. They are chaos, and they are unstable, and they can't exist without others bargaining with them to keep them going. They have oil wealth taken from Americans and Europeans, but they need your confusion, too. That's why they post propaganda 24/7 just like America's enemies in WW2, which is what they were then and what they are now.
Since that area is so dangerous and insane, maybe we should just blow up the whole region - without regard to religion or country. Then we can see who wanders in there and sets up camp and hope they are smarter and more peaceful than the ones who are there now.
And while you are at it, just blow up the world and hope that the next species that emerges is smarter than humans, right?
Without the 1948 UN resolution, israel would have never existed, yet the bullies have violated every law in the books set by the UN. they are defiant, bullies, and amoral because of the US dishonest and treacherous foreign policy in the region.
The palestinians shouldnt accept the US as the broker for the so called peace proceess. Let other countries take over and be more objective and evenhanded. The IAPAC has every US politician in their pocket. The US politicians work against the interest of their country and the people they serve. shame on you.
Without the constant hate-crimes the Muslims inflicted on the Jews, there would have been a large Jewish minority in Palestine. When the Brits created Palestine, the Brits were cozy with the Muslim oil sheiks. The Brits did not expect the moronic violence of militant Islam, or the support the Grand Mufti's regime offered to the Third Reich. Israel is a self-protection zone, and the remaining sectors of Palestine were annexed by Jordan and Egypt because the Arab League hardly recognized Palestine at all. Palestine is an invention of the British Foreign Office, and Palestinians are an invention of post-1967 militant Islam.
Quit complaining about what amounts to firecracker rockets when compared to what Israeli firepower is. Israel has violated UN resolutions about building in OCCUPIED land. Stop all the false flag operations the world has had enough. Israel is NOT our friend! Remember the USS Liberty!!
Shards of the USS Liberty could be turned into rather large buttplugs for the rectums of neo-Nazis and Jihadis. Some smooth jazz, a glass of chardonnay, and a flying leap could get you where you need to be.
Another Zionist, I'll support the USS Liberty Survivors and believe their story before a Zionist lies and cover-up, Proud to be a Navy vet of the USS Liberty era!
@Peikovian: 34 US sailors were killed on the USS Liberty and I find your comment above very insulting.
It's intended to be insulting It's intended to flush out those Charles Lindbergh isolationist patriots who wished we fought for the Reich then, and support Jihad now.
Peikovian: you insult the memories of Americans that died in service to our country, and expect us to continue to spend our tax dollars on Israel? If your intention is to piss off Americans, you are succeeding, and not doing Israel any favors.
guys. please. peikisreal loves to insult people. I think he gets hi doing so. we should all try to bypass his comments , boycott him and not respond to his stupid answers.
Steve you are way too sensitive
rameshm2- Its OK for you to be insulting
Depressing. In a real way, the idiocy of allowing more and more settlements is very similar to our response to global warming--continue heading for the cliff while ignoring the big picture. Regardless of which side you're on, it is clear that the ongoing land grabs will eventually result in the end of Palestine. And once that happens, the relatively small country of Israel will have to contend with millions of very smart individuals with a very BIG score to settle.
You are forgetting that Israel was on everyone's hit list long before any of those settlements were built.
If they are a target whether they build settlements or not, they might as well keep building.
eli.. typical isreali justification. you are forgetting that there is no justification on buidling settlement in e. jerusalem or the west bank. I guess this is the price that they have to pay for being nice. you see , if they acted like hamas and gaza ,you girls wouldn't be buillding settlement there, would you? and the only reason you girls left gaza was because you couldn't sustain it for too long, so it wasn't an act of kindness.
Ramesh,
Typical islamist justification. You are forgetting that Jerusalem and West Bank aka Judea had been the territory of Israel before anyone even came up with the word "Palestinians", not only is it morllay justified for Israelis to build there, it would be ridiculous not to.
Israel is allowed the founding of Palestinian state in West Bank and in return they got suicidal bombing, I guess this is the price they paid for being nice.
You see, Fatah and West bankers did act exactly like Hamas and Gaza, until the security fence blocked them off and settlements started absorbing the punches and punching back.
Meanwhile, Gaza was handed over to Palestinians on a silver platter and you, who keeps going on about how mismatched the sides in this fight are, contradict yourself by clamming that Israel could not have kept Gaza if they wanted to, just so you could find and excuse for Palestinians not to appreciate this gesture and continue this pointless war.
That more than anything proves that Israel should keep building.
The world will continue to align themselves, enmasse, against Israel, as they are fated to do. What's worrisome to me as an American is this; We know in the end Israel will have only God to depend on for help and, as God did in the Old Testament He will do so again in these modern times, He will utterly destroy Israel's enemies to the point that no one will doubt His existence and power. In other words we cannot even appear to play a part in Israel's coming victory. So what of us, the Americans? What will render us unable or unwilling to help Israel?
mresvit-The world will continue to align themselves, enmasse, against Israel, as they are fated to do. You guys seem to forget that God stood aside and let the Babylonians destroy Israel and Judea. Then later let the Persians,Greeks,Romans,Arabs,Crusaders,Arabs again,Turks, and then the British take over the land.Trying to put your own spin on history doesn't work.
Look, if there were a "god", it wouldn't accept the lies, deceit, hatred, killing, etc., in its "name". What an insane supposed "god". This insanity supposedly told the early "Zionists" to kill all the men, women and children and their animals and burn them, and then take over the land where they lived. What an insanity.
This "god" then killed all these people including men, women and children, except for a couple, in a flood; more insanity. Then there was Hitler, Jewish, evidently, among other things, who killed many more people including Jews, another insanity, yet you state that this insane "entity" will destroy all of "Israel's" "enemies.
Can you think of any more reason to work with one another for a world peace than this insane logic of a killing and insane "god" who seeks more mass destruction. If I were a "god", I sure would think of a better way than that.
One innocent life is worth more than all the "holy" sites and buildings; to have a "holy" site or building and proclaim that it is more important than the lives of the people is bizarre to the extreme.
Israelis have been doing this since 1948. Israel is an apartheid state period....
Watch video how everything started!!
www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Y58njT2oXfE
After aligning themselves with the Nazis, after stealing most of the world's oil properties, after creating a region of police states and religious malcontents, leave it to the Jihadis and Muslim supremacists to play the victims. That's exactly what psychopaths would do.
peikovia.... hey everyone. just a reminder peik is playing opposite day.everything he says is the opposit of reality.
Doesn't your welfare check cover drug withdrawal?
talk about welfare check? whos receiving billions of dollars of our tax money?
25 different countries, including Egypt, Pakistan, Iraq and the-recently-declared-Palestine, so?
peikisreal you are the one on welfare from american tax charity. I work my ass off every day to provide for my family. but you ashlochs sit on your ass and build you mass killing machines with our tax charity and then you have the nerve to insult us . the 99% movement is going to catch up with this bs and they will throw you bastards out and down from the power . and then we will be free.
Ramesh,
You seem to assume that anyone who defends Israel is Israeli.
Wrong, I for example happen to be an American citizen. I work my ass of, pay my taxes and cast a vote, which counts just as much as yours. So, do speak for yourself, and not everyone.
I happen to believe that my support for Israel does not interfere with my loyalty to USA in any way and it so happens that majority of Americans agree with me and not with you. That is something you will have to face.
Roland:
Slums are created by those who inhabit them. If you are unclean, where you live will also be unclean and if you are ignorant you will raise ignorant children. If all you can do is teach your children to blame others for their plight, they will forever be in the situation you have created for them. I have heard that UHAUL is World Wide. Rent one, move. Just don't come to the USA, we already have enough mental disease here.
Amen!
Israel should be slapped with sanctions just like Iran. These warmongering land thieves should be stopped.
You're funny.
As long as US continues to blindly support Israel, there is zero chance for peace because Israel has no incentive for peace and will continue to annex Palestinian land and build more settlements with TOTAL IMPUNITY.
Arab/Muslim criminals control OPEC, which controls Big Oil. Spelling in all caps merely tells people to ignore you.
hey peikisreal..... if they are so bad, how did you guys manage to put those pipeline from iraq to haifa guarded with american millitary.pure evil. that what you are all.
Ramesham,
So you don't support peacefull business between Iraq and Israel?
The Palestinians had the opportunity to have a country when the United Nations originally wanted to divide the country and partition a part of it for the Palestinians and they refused, wanting all of it. Israel knows whats best for Israel. If other countries had to live each day with the threat of extinction they may be more aware of the problems, (except France, they love every terrorist alien that wants to live in their country.)
When the hell is our great nation going to stop giving money to the terrorist Israeli government?
When will Jihadis be buried in a pig latrine?
They had a land that was theirs. They owned the houses, had built everything themselves, had families and lives. Why should they take half? If the police came and gave half of your house away, would you agree? And live peacefully on half of what you had built? Or, would you fight back?
That depends:
Did I move into the abandoned house, out of which the rightful owner was chased at gun-point?
Was that owner offering me good money, not even to move out, but just let him move into the part of the house that I was not even using?
Neo-Nazis and Jihadis could be fired at each other in the CERN accelerator. During their mutual BU FU some radioactive particles could reveal the earliest nature of scum in the universe.
Max, Israel did not steal any land. They won it from Egypt, Syria and Jordan. When these countries attacked Israel, Israel kicked their ass and took the Sinai from Egypt, The Golan Heights from Syria and the West Bank from Jordan. Read your history Max. Israel would like nothing more than peaceful coexistance but its neighbors want to cut their balls off.
jim...first under the international law, thres is no such thing as winning the land. after the cease fire, isreali's were obligated to return the land, but they didn't. 2nd. you isreali's make it sound like the arabs attacked you, but the reality was that isreal was building up millitary in sinai borders, and the egyptian in response did the same, but isreal preemptively attack them.don't try to rewrite history.now and days there are millions of info online and people have the access to them. so these lies are not deceiving anymore.
Ramesh,
1) First, the international law that that "there is no such thing as winning the land" will be the law worth respecting the day USA returns Southern California to Mexico and Russia returns Kaliningrad aka Kuningsberg to Germany.
A law is not a law unless it applies to everyone. Israel will not and should not follow the law that everyone else happily ignores.
2) You should follow your own advise: "don't try to rewrite history.now and days there are millions of info online and people have the access to them. so these lies are not deceiving anymore." and everyone can read the speeches of Arab leaders, stating their declaration of war so clearly, even you should be able to understand them:
“Our forces are now entirely ready not only to repulse any aggression, but to initiate the act ourselves, and to explode the Zionist presence in the Arab homeland of Palestine. The Syrian army, with its finger on the trigger, is united. I believe that the time has come to begin a battle of anihilation.”- Syria’s Defence Minister Hafez Assad
"Taking over Sharm el Sheikh meant confrontation with Israel (and) also meant that we were ready to enter a general war with Israel. The battle will be a general one and our basic objective will be to destroy Israel” - Gamal Abdel Nasser
“The existence of Israel is an error which must be rectified. This is our opportunity to wipe out the ignominy which has been with us since 1948. Our goal is clear - to wipe Israel off the map” - President Aref of Iraq
This is simply colonization by conquest...in other words lebensraum.
You're describing the spread of militant Islam throughout the world. Israelis live in a state the size of New Jersey.
What Israel is doing is nothing more and probably less than the US did to native Americans in the expansion of this country. It's their country, bought and paid for with their blood. Let them do what ever they choose and God Bless them.
No argument. But we learned and are still learning. We become a better country and better people by examining these things. After WWII, we conquered the entire world but we gave it back to the rightful owners and it has turned out really well. This is the best of America that we should aspire to.
The Israelis aspire to the eye-for-an-eye old ways that Christ taught us to move beyond.
Everyone and every country makes mistakes. The real issue is whether or not you are growing and learning to live up to God's expectations. Building settlements on occupied land when you lie and pretend to want peace does not come close to meeting God's expectations.
.
Christ's way might work after the war is actually over, but in this case he war still continues.
In a war you have to take ground, or you die where you stand.
Arabs are welcome to negotiate for peace any time, then they will stop loosing ground, they might even get back some of what they lost.
Not to mention, the land you call "occupied" is in fact the original land of Israel that was taken form them. When they got it back in battle some just assumed that they would give it to Palestinians, there was really no reason for that. The fact that Israel did give most of it to Palestinians should've already been seen as a sign of peace, but instead of being grateful, Palestinians simply demanded more.
eli... what war? stone throwing kids vs f16 and cluster boms. such war.
Yes, the one with RPGs, shahid belts and AK-47 form behind human shields vs. rubber bullets and tear gas.
You keep telling us how poorly Palestinians are armed, as if it gives them a free pass on everything. Life doesn't work that way.
When you throw rocks at an armed soldier, you should not expect him to just stand there waiting for you to bash his skull in, he will shoot you and he will be right to do so.
Where is Congress to stop financing the Jewish State further? In 1948 they looked to the world to recognize them and now the spit on the International community and continue their illegal expansions. Where are the politicians in this country that are not financed by the revolting Jewish lobby? Where are they to speak out and tell Israel its enough, we are no longer your ally in your nasty politics?
Congress? Are you joking??? 50% of the US Congress is Jewish. Did you know that?
You forgot about the Star Chamber, the Trilateral Commission, the Freemasons, the Illuminati, the Knights Templar, the Stonecutters, the Rand Corporation in conjunction with the saucer people under the supervision of the reverse vampires. Now you know the rest of the story.
Nice try, Bibi, but I stated a fact. So your little fantasy spin doesn't play.
The fact of the Jihadi madrassa or the all-male hillbilly biker gang? The outhouse has a crescent on the door.
King--the 112th Congress has 39 Jewish members = about 7%. Your ignorance is appalling.
It only feels like 50% to those who check for Jews under their bed every night, like Moshe Moshe formerly known as Abdallah Abdallah.
Amen to that Eli100
Israel knows it will lose. It has suspected it for four years and now with the results of Nov.6 they are sure. They have choosen to, at least go down fighting rather than whimpering, begging and pleding!
Americans, clearly have gone the other way! Who cares what the leaders of Europe think? These fools have completely devastated their own countries! The best course of action is to understand what they would do and go in the exact opposite direction!
At least their end will not be the act of suicide that America's has become!
