Thousands of protesters turned out on Sunday to denounce demands made by far-right legislator Marton Gyongyosi to make a list of Jews who posed a national security risk.
BUDAPEST -- Around 10,000 Hungarians protested on Sunday against the far-right opposition Jobbik party, after one of its lawmakers triggered outrage and memories of Nazism by calling for lists of Jews to be drawn up.
The rally outside Budapest's parliament brought together leaders from governing and opposition parties in an unprecedented show of unity in the country's deeply divided political scene.
"We cannot allow things which belong to the darkest pages of history books to repeat themselves," Antal Rogan, head of the ruling Fidesz party's parliamentary group, told demonstrators who waved national flags and demanded the resignation of Jobbik MP Marton Gyongyosi.
On Monday Gyongyosi, one of Jobbik's 44 lawmakers in the 386-seat parliament, said after a debate on fighting in the Gaza Strip it would be "timely" to tally up people of Jewish ancestry in Hungary who posed a national security risk.
He later apologized and said his remarks had been misunderstood, adding that he was referring only to Hungarians with Israeli passports in the government and parliament. But he said he would not resign.
'National security risk': Far-right leader pushes Hungary to draw up list of Jews
In 2010, Jobbik became the third-biggest party in parliament on a campaign vilifying the Roma minority and attracting voters frustrated by a deepening economic crisis. Jobbik was registered as a party in 2003 and won increasing influence from 2006 onwards.

A protester dons a yellow star on his coat as thousands of people turned out to condemn comments made by far-right lawmaker Marton Gyongyosi.
Former prime minister Gordon Bajnai of the centrist Egyutt (Together) 2014 movement said Gyongyosi's remarks revealed the true nature of Jobbik and parties should join forces against the far right.
"If we want a new era of normality in politics in Hungary then this is the number one moral order: one must team up with everyone against the Nazis, but must not team up with the Nazis not even for power," Bajnai told the rally.
'Fascism is a virus'
The party has retained support in the recession-hit central European country and some analysts said it could hold the balance of power between centre-right Fidesz and the left-wing opposition in the next elections in 2014.
"Fascism is a virus and Jobbik is the one spreading this virus," said Attila Mesterhazy, leader of the biggest opposition party, the Socialists. He called on Prime Minister Viktor Orban to speak up in parliament on Monday to condemn Jobbik.
Jobbik dismissed the protest as "political alarmism" in a statement on Sunday, adding that its opponents' comments reflected desperation over the rise of the party's support.
The government condemned Gyongyosi's remarks in a statement on Tuesday, pledging to do "everything" to suppress extremist, racist and anti-Semitic voices.
Want a European Union passport? Just invest $322,000 in Hungary
The protesters, who gathered in wintry temperatures, demanded immediate action against the far right and welcomed the rare manifestation of unity from politicians at the rally.
Businessman Gyorgy Sarkozy, 43, said: "It's very important to be here in person, all of us, to protest against what's happening in Hungary now. This is the shame of the world, this fascist movement.
"Perhaps now we will see such joining of forces which will not only restrain their (Jobbik's) rhetoric but also this whole Nazi party. This is a Nazi party."
About 500,000 to 600,000 Hungarian Jews were killed in the Holocaust, according to a memorial centre in Budapest. Some survivors reached Israel. Some 100,000 Jews now live in Hungary.

And so it begins again ...
Typical Arab and Muslim mindset, blame the Jews.
During WW2 with the assistance of Hassan al-Banna (founder of Muslim Brotherhood), the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem recruited almost 100,000 European Muslims to form two Muslim Waffen SS, their mission, to fight for Hitler's Third Reich. They marched into the Balkans and also Hungary, murdering 90 percent of the Bosnian Jews. The Grand Mufti's influence was so great that he convinced Himmler and Eichmann to reject an Allied proposed plan to swap 4,000 Jewish children destined for the death camps in return for the release of 20,000 German POW's.
"The Versailles Treaty was a disaster for the Germans as well as the Arabs. But the Germans know how to get rid of the Jews...the Germans have never harmed any Muslim, and they are again fighting our common enemy who persecuted Arabs and Muslims. But most of all, they have definitely solved the Jewish problem. Arabs! Rise as one to protect your scared rights. Kill the Jews wherever you find them...God is with you."
Muslim Brotherhood Ally, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Mohammad Amin al-Husayni (1943)
The Muslim Brotherhood, Grand Mufti and Adolf Hitler, all great heroes to this day in the minds of many Palestinians and radical Muslims around the world.
@latekate
O.K. I'll bite. And what does all that have to do with Hungary and fascists?
I wonder to all those that object to the creation of this list. have objected about other countries that have a list of all the Muslims living within their borders.
I would object to a list of Muslims. I wouldn't object to a list of Muslim leaders who are suspected or known to have anti-American leanings and are prepared to play Pied Piper to their people and cause problems in this country. But to have a list of Muslims, no, there is absolutely no legitimate reason to have one.
This has nothing to do with Muslims and everything to do with just plain fascism.
I frankly object to lists of ANYONE based on religion (or ethnicity, or political views, etc.). Somewhat like Adrienne, I don't object to lists of people of ANY religion, ethnicity or political view are PROVEN VIOLENT (or inciting to violence).
I admit to having difficulty with the phrase "anti-American" because of the way it is thrown about. Just look at the number of people in the last election who felt those supporting the opposite party were "anti-American" just because they didn't agree with their political views. A VERY slippery slope.
Let me clarify, Beth, what I mean by anti-American.
I mean, flying plains into buildings and blowing up cars full of fertilizer, or putting explosives into baby bottles. I couldn't care less if someone doesn't think a Democrat or Republican is "American" enough. People who are deemed seditious ih a very legitimate way. Everything can be deemed a slippery slope, I agree, but we have to put our foot down on it somewhere
:(
Everything. It shows that the Muslims adored Hitler who was a fascist, and the Hungarians believe that the Jobbik party is a fascist movement.
As a very bright, but depressed, woman once said:
"Every woman adores a Fascist"
That depends on the list. We have a list of Muslims living in the United States. Also a list of Jews, Catholics, Buddhists, Hindus, etc. We call it the census. I have no problem with that.
Maybe it shows some Muslims may have liked Hitler. However everyone knows there were FAR more Christians who liked Hitler.
EDIT: and by the way, Hitler was a christian himself:
"My feeling as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded only by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was his fight against the Jewish poison. Today, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed his blood upon the Cross. As a Christian, I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice."
- Adolf Hitler
See we can all pull up all sorts of crap to make some other group look bad. You aren't the only one who gets to do this.
denverbill - you are comparing what this guy suggests to our Census? Really? Get a clue.
So by your ,erm, logic then Muslims must love the jobbik party, which means they love a small segment of the Hungarian population. And since the Pope was silent when Hitler was rounding up Jews to be slaughtered I guess it could be said that he was a closet supporter of Hitler. Shall we continue down this rabbit hole?
@denverbill
That depends on the list. We have a list of Muslims living in the United States. Also a list of Jews, Catholics, Buddhists, Hindus, etc. We call it the census. I have no problem with that.
Actually Denver ... you are incorrect:
Since this is VOLUNTARY, it does not apply. As a personal aside, I do not think it should be collected at all -- voluntary or not.
Only in so far as both are lists that include data regarding religious affiliation. Your reading skills are fine. You might want to work some on comprehension and interpretation.
You are correct when you say the data regarding religious affiliation is given to the Census Bureau on a voluntary basis. But they do collect it. Your claim that I am incorrect is true only if (apparently, according to your logic) an incomplete list is no longer a list.
That data is only collected in aggregate as no names are attached to the data.
Even back in Sylvia Plath's day, there wasn't anyway for an author to clearly indicate sarcasm, except to have the reader read the whole thing, which you apparently didn't.
Jonathan Swift was ostracized for his "baby eating" essay, and I believe that Frank Baum's writings regarding the Native Americans were meant as sarcasm (especially as he pointed out in them the double-dealings and lies of the American government, parts which were often edited out by newspapermen and book editors) but I'm in the definite minority. Samuel Clemens is the only sarcastic author I'm aware of who was able to get his messages out without misunderstandings.
Nice deflection Swan37 but you have failed to exonerate the Muslims from their role in World War 2.
Yes Hitler was born a Christian but in Germany over 95% of Germans citizens were Christians, so how is that relevant? The Catholic Church was very powerful during Hitler’s reign and like any other fascist, mastermind, Hitler attempted to absorb their power to further his racist, hatred and influence over the people.
I will not attempt to deny that the Catholic church was corrupt and rabidly anti-Semitic as well documented, and Hitler most certainly used this to taunt the Catholic church when Pope PiusXI would not remove the Old Testament from the bible and join in his murderous fantasies:
“I have been attacked because of my handling of the Jewish question. The Catholic Church considered the Jews pestilent for fifteen hundred years, put them in ghettos, etc., because it recognized the Jews for what they were. In the epoch of liberalism the danger was no longer recognized. I am moving back toward the time in which a fifteen-hundred-year-long tradition was implemented. I do not set race over religion, but I recognize the representatives of this race as pestilent for the state and for the Church, and perhaps I am thereby doing Christianity a great service by pushing them out of schools and public functions.”
Perhaps this was an embarrassment for the Church because Pope Pius XI took a boisterous stand against the Nazis and in fact when the media and universities remained silent Pope Pius XI boldly issued a Catholic Church encyclical called Mit brennender Sorge (German: "With burning concern") published on 10 March 1937.
“Drafted by the future Pope Pius XII and read from the pulpits of all German Catholic churches, it criticized Hitler, and condemned Nazi persecution and ideology and has been characterized by scholars as the "first great official public document to dare to confront and criticize Nazism" and "one of the greatest such condemnations ever issued by the Vatican."
“Mit brennender Sorge spoke of "God-given rights" and invoked a "human nature" that went beyond national boundaries. It stated that rejection of the Old Testament which some leaders-religious as well as secular-advocated in Nazi Germany, was blasphemous.”
“The encyclical condemned particularly the paganism of the national-socialism ideology, the myth of race and blood, and the fallacy of their conception of God. It warned Catholics that the growing Nazi ideology,
which exalted one race over all others, was incompatible with Catholic Christianity.”
“None but superficial minds could stumble into concepts of a national God, of a national religion; or attempt to lock within the frontiers of a single people, within the narrow limits of a single race, God, the Creator of
the universe, King and Legislator of all nations before whose immensity they are ‘as a drop of a bucket’ (Isaiah 40:15).”
"Whoever exalts race, or the people, or the state, or a particular form of state, or the depositories of power, or any other fundamental value of the human community-however necessary and honorable be their function in worldly things—whoever raises these notions above their standard value and raises them to an idolatrous level, distorts and perverts an order of the world planned and created by God."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Pius_XI_and_Germany
I am in no way attempting to defend the Catholic church but there are many parts to a long story of good
and evil, and truth is paramount otherwise we will all remain ignorant and unforgiving.
Time for Muslims to come clean.
I am not trying to exonerate any individual for any part they had in WWII. However acts by individuals of a group do not make everyone of that group guilty of something. Many Muslim Indians fought along side British soldiers and many in the free French army were Muslims. There were plenty of other Muslims who fought on the Allies side too. In fact more fought for the Allies then the Axis. Do you have a point? Do you intend to tally up all the combatants that were adherents of various religions and make some sort of conclusion or is this just another one of your rabidly anti Muslim posts? I think the latter.
LATEKATE: THIS MAN WAS A HUNGARIAN NOT AN ARAB OR MUSLIM, YET YOU RANTED AGAINST THAT GROUP JUST LIKE THAT HUNGARIAN DID AGAINST THE JEWS.
IT IS IRONIC THAT YOU THINK THAT HATE AGAINST ARABS AND MUSLIMS IS JUST FINE AND DANDY BUT HATE AGAINST JEWS IS BAD
IT IS ALL BAD
THEY SAY THE SAME THING YOU SAID ABOUT ARABS AND MUSLIMS ABOUT JEWS
GET A BRAIN
OMFG
I'd be a lot more concerned about the Muslim population. Jews are harmless unless they are from Israel, and someone is threatening or attacking them. Then, as I would myself do, they protect themselves as they should.
Hey Chicago, maybe that's because Muslims keep killing people all over the world in large numbers. The world would be better off without them.
Do people in a political office ever take time to think what comes out of their mouth? They should run a background check on all of those in a Budapest office and print this in the news with all the affairs they have had. This poses the biggest threat to "national security". Those in office and it is universal.
Yes. That is why it is usually meaningless.
Yes. That is why it is usually meaningless. And your comment Denver is meaningless with no contribution.
This guy showed his true colors and should be voted out to prevent another ethinic cleansing situation over there. Amazing and scary this stuff keeps repeating itself..........
Do_Not_Mess_With_Texas banned, re-reg of multiple accounter The Unit Toad.
Adolf Hitler, reincarnated in Hungary. Mitch McConnell in the U.S.A. Far right fascism lives on.
60's, WTF does Mitch McConnel have to do with this story ? You sir are an oxygen thief. There are extremists on the left to, they are called SOCIALISTS.
bill-765872: "There are extremists on the left
toTOO". And I believe the reference that you are missing in 60's statement is the right-wing fascist movement going on in America. Oh and which of the two should you be more afraid of? Far Right Racist Fascism or Far Left Socialism?60's Veteran of the Jan Fonda North Viet Nam Tour, there is no need to further try to divide the USA with by playing the Fascist Card where none exist. Go back to watch your Jan Fonda Video.
The far left, who are socialists, are going to destroy this country unless Mitch McConnell's party takes it back. It is amazing that millions choose to believe the empty suit in the WH despite the fact that he is the worse president in my memory (and that goes back to Eisenhower).
Hitler was a socialist - National Socialist German Workers Party - NAZI. More like Obama than McConnell
Statements like this (MOMINNJ), make me realize there are still people out there who don't have a clue!!!
"The far left, who are socialists, are going to destroy this country unless Mitch McConnell's party takes it back." -- The "This country" you have in mind is long gone. Do you know that Mitch married an obscenely rich Asian wife? There goes you "old value", all white country. This socialist thing is just invented by the far right as a smoke screen against Obama.
The people who are destroying this country are the white knights shamelessly trying to protect the welfare of the 1 or 2% of the country!
If you aren't afraid of both of them, you are a fool.
Bill,
oxygen thief....lmfao...it's true too!
It's just mind boggling that a politician would make such a statement. People like him have no business being in government and I hope the Hungarian people will turn away from the poison that Gyongyosi represents. Fascism is not just a virus, it's a cancer that needs to be eradicated quickly.
A minority whose allegiance is mostly to an outside country, may indeed be a security risk.
Yet you didn't see the US saying things like this about the Arabs after 9/11. If a gov't party has worries of this sort, quietly investigating people they worry about would have been a better option, if they were right about certain people then they won't look like such jackasses as they do now announcing it to the world as they did if they were wrong.
Max - You fail to understand that being a Jew does not instantly make you a Zionist, nor does being a Zionist make you subversive to your own country. Being a Zionist means you believe in there being a Jewish state of Israel. There are many evangelical Christians in America who are die hard Zionists, and no one is making them wear big Crucifixes. The Jews in Germany fought in German wars, but German products, and loved their country. And they posed no security risk. They were made note of, rounded up, and exterminated. Excuse the Jews if they take immediate offense to this renewed Anti-Semitism.
Max, we said the same thing about Japanese Americans after Pearl, it was wrong then as it is today. I am unfortunately seeing some parallels here in the USA: vilification of the least of our society, immigrants fair game, African Americans stereotyped as lazy and thugs, all Americans of the Muslim faith are terrorists, on and on it goes.
Evil is an equal opportunity inflicter, regardless of race, ethnicity or religion.
My God, there are teabaggers in Hungary.
There are teabaggers in Black Ops 2 as well...lol.
Why so shocked that there are extremists in Europe? They seem to surface every other generation or so...isn't it about that time again?....it'll be one of those Germanic countries who loose control of their government...
The french had it right...they wacked all the bad blood 200 years ago...lol.
During WWII Japanese (men, women and children) living in the USA were put into concentration camps by Franklin Roosevelt a DEMOCRAT!! Spin that libs..
Can't spin it but we did learn from it and will, I hope, never do anything like that again. Slavery, communist witch hunts, internment camps, Tail of Tears, Wounded Knee... these are all examples of the things that this country has done to it's own people that we must insure are never repeated. that is why it is so important for people and politicians to find a point of commonality and and rational responses. This is not about party politics but about decency to our fellow man and civic responsibility to keep the government in check.
Simple, Carter, another Democrat started the commission that later granted restitution to those who were victims of that action.
And McCarthyism was REPUBLICAN. So what? The point is we learn, as thinkingmom so aptly pointed out.
Can't spin Japanese Internment camps, it was what it was, wrong then and wrong now.
I'm with thinkingmom
Me too Jennifer! She clearly taught her children to learn from their mistakes!
Just an add to the Japanese internment camps debate...while it may have been a bit wrong, the US government didn't slaughter these people or use them as slave labor. They were there for two reasons;
We were at war with Japan so freaking DUH!....it was easier to keep track so the Japs couldn't infiltrate using Japanese Americans as cover, and for their own protection against all the racist kluckers that were running rampant around that time. Internment camps quite possibly saved alot of Japanese American lives.
It quite possibly killed a lot of Japanese Americans too, to be ripped from their homes, and put into tar-paper shacks in the various deserts, where it freezes at night and all winter, where racist guards were given machine guns, and would kill old men and women who wandered away from the body of the camp, and medical care was limited. George Takei's autobiography, "To The Stars" examines his time in one of those camps. It didn't help that their homes, properties and businesses were grabbed away from them in the process, leaving them little to return to. From where I sit, a three hour drive from the former Tulelake camp, the rounding up of the Japanese-American's primary purpose was to make the government look like it was doing "something."
I got nothin' Elk. I'm sure you are somewhat right....I just think to compare internment of Japanese Americans with the Nazi extermination machine of the Third Reich is a huge stretch.
the evil rises again...
Extreme is always a dangerous place. Take note anyone in the tea party or the extreme liberals. You will cause the downfall of the human race
Bill, how wonderful for you to remember that during basically the same time period, people in this country were performing some of the very same acts as Adolf Hitler's army. Funny though how you forget to mention that we did not send the Japanese into chemical showers and kill them hundreds at a time, or force them into labor camps where we underfed, tortured and mistreated them until they died or we killed them.
People were afraid, and these acts against the Japanese were unconscionable as well, and I am not excusing them in any way...just in case you decide you're going to start hurling some political insults my way. Do not compare what happened in the US to what happened in Europe when SIX MILLION PEOPLE were slaughtered.
FDR was an anti-semite as well...he knew what was happening and chose not to get involved with what was going on in Europe UNTIL the threat made its way to the US.
Never forget, lest we allow history to repeat itself.
The action of FDR were unacceptable and ILLEGAL. FDR and many in his cabinet, and the military were racists, yet we did not intern Germans or Italians (hmmm) Yes the USA did not gas them or execute them, but to villify each and every move by the Republicans is equalled to or surpassed by abhorrent and unethical actions by the Democrats. Neither party is better thn the other, and for anyone to say differently is to put blinders on and ignore history. BTW Reagan signed the reparation act for those kidnapped and incarcerated by the FDR adminstration.
We didn't inter Italians or Germans because it was harder to figure out who was what, and let's face it, they were "white." Having said that, there were plenty of German Americans who had a hard go of it during the war, but at least they could go to their own homes at night instead of a bunk bed in a camp.
Bill makes a very warped point!
We did too put Germans and Italians into internment camps.
For German -- http://www.gaic.info/internment_camp.html (has interactive map of camps)
For Italian-- http://www.italianhistorical.org/page19a.html
Philosophy of government that stresses the primacy and glory of the state, unquestioning obedience to its leader, subordination of the individual will to the state's authority, and harsh suppression of dissent. That is a definition of FASCISM..Sound familiar libs?
bill, of course it sounds familiar, been listening to the likes of Limbaugh, Beck, Trump, etal., for the past year and it sounds eerily like low down right wing speak, so this Lib. took notice and voted accordingly.
Skyparrot, neither Limbaugh, Beck, nor Trump have spoken for the need of Big Government nor Gun Control on the private citizens. The only law in Germany STILL in place started by the Nazis is the BAN on Homeschooling, again Limbaugh, Beck nor Trump have advocated this type of ban in Education.
Limbaugh is gay.
Yep, Limbaugh at times is happy and glad, but not any other definiton of gay.
Political commentator, radio host, college drop-out,
closet homosexual, and, as recently revealed, synthetic heroin
drug addict, Rush Hudson Limbaugh III is probably the best
known neocon personality in American radio.
Born in Cape Girardeau, MO, in 1951, Limbaugh spent many of
his formative years pursuing a career in radio.
After using his pilonidal cyst - a congenital birth defect - to
avoid military service in the Vietnam War, Limbaugh briefly
worked for radio stations in Pittsburgh, PA and Kansas City,
MO. Fired from both jobs, he worked as a wiener salesman for
the KC Royals baseball franchise, eventually slithering back into
the radio business.
In 1971 Limbaugh attended Southeastern Missouri University,
where, according to reports, he had a brief but heated affair
with Elliot Sanders. So gay is Limbaugh, guarantees Sanders,
that, "none of his marriages was ever consummated."
Many of Limbaugh's fans staunchly deny the man's alleged
homosexuality, and Limbaugh himself says the rumors are
politically motivated lies. However, one is forced to doubt
Limbaugh, who has a history of denying and balking at rumors
that are later revealed to be true. His pilonidal cyst, his
pseudonymous career in Pittsburgh radio, and his addiction to
Oxycontin are all facts which Limbaugh initially denied or
concealed.
After more failed stints with Missouri radio stations Limbaugh
moved to Sacramento, CA, where he met and became "friends"
with Norm Woodruff, a flamboyant, openly gay man with a
great deal of influence in the local radio scene. Woodruff, who
mentored Limbaugh in the ways of affluence and elitism (traits
Rush mocks today), would later died of AIDS.
Through his ties to Woodruff Limbaugh was given Morton
Downey, Jr.'s spot on KFBK News Talk 1530 a.m. Within
twelve months Limbaugh had become the most popular radio
personality in Sacramento. In 1988 he signed on with EFM
Media Management, working from New York City.
For a short while Limbaugh plateaued, until the success and
enormous popularity of a Democratic president provided him
with a reason to whine.
The popularity and charisma of President Clinton enabled
Limbaugh's hate-filled show to appeal to millions of bitter
American conservatives. Limbaugh's unique combination of
prevarication and histrionics provided a sense of unity for
otherwise incompatible demographics, such as Klansmen and
Wall Street stock brokers.
For years Limbaugh fooled his audiences into
believing his whining was something much more noble.
By the mid-90's Limbaugh's promoters had co-opted his show
to enough nationwide syndicates to claim Limbaugh was the
"most popular radio personality" in the country. Technically this
was false. However, the free handout out of Limbaugh's show
to any station that wanted it resulted in Limbaugh being the
most listened-to man on a.m. radio.
Inspired by Clinton-induced vitriol, Limbaugh paid a ghostwriter
to author for him See, I Told You So (1992), Nanny Nanny,
Boo Boo (1993), and I'm Rubber. You're Glue. Whatever You
Say Bounces off Me and Sticks to You (1994).
After miserably failing on television, Limbaugh spiraled into
depression, eventually becoming addicted to pain pills
prescribed to him for his pilonidal cyst (a.k.a. "Butt Boil"). For
nearly eight years Limbaugh abused Hydrocodone, a synthetic,
stronger version of heroin.
In effect, Limbaugh spent nearly a decade stoned off his
bleeding backside, and ultimately built up his tolerance to levels
requiring dozens of pills per day in order to, as Limbaugh once
confided in his maid, "get my buzz on."
I see you are so jealous of Limbaugh's success that you have to resort to the "gay" card just has Obama resorts to the "tax" for those successful in the private sector and does not kowtow to him.
Limbaugh is an Obese, drug addicted, bigot. Nothing there to be jealous of.
Since you were so jealous of Limbaugh's success you had to resort to the "Gay" Card.
I pity Limbaugh. I cannot imagine what it would be like to live with all of the hate that fills that man.
Clearly he is on your mind Willard....
...you protest a wee bit too much....
lol!
What's weird is the state of Missouri wants to put up a bust of Limbaugh with others that are already there in the State Capitol in honor of "Famous Missourians". Creep!
Limbaugh is a republican puppet. There is no doubt.
Willard really hates that hatefilled man....bizarre really....lol.
NO LIMBAUGH STATUE at the capital! The concrete is not thick enough to hold it up!
Another example of Selective Reporting, this is ALREADY being done in Saudi Arabia. Everytime I fly into the country, one has to DECLARE their Religion which is kept on file. It is bad enough one just SAYs it in Hungary, but it is ACTUALLY in place already in Saudi Arabia (BTW, Jews are banned from the country). No one in Hungary stated that Jews should be banned. NBC, the REAL story on this issue is in Saudi Arabia NOT Hungary, but then again, one can not expect much REAL investigative reporting from the Media Elite.
I thought the media was controlled by the Jews anyway ...
Nope, the Media Elite is controlled by the Politically Correct Revisionists History Crowd which might happen to contain a person of any religion including a Jew. Jews or any other Religion Person that is NOT Political Correct need not apply for a Reporting poistion in the Media Elite has they ain't going to get the position.
I would rather be historically correct than politically correct. Who is with me???
Go spend an hour like I did inside a concentration camp. It was one of the most horrific times of my life. I made a promise that I would do everything I can to make sure that the evil that took place and I believe still exists, never happens again. There's no excuse for what this man is proposing.
I 'm reminded of the words of Bl. Franz Jaggerstatter, who chose to die rather than serve in the Nazi army.
"Better for my children to know that they had a father who died for the cause of Christ, than to grow up with a Nazi for a father."
Anybody willing to do the same?
Peace.
"he was referring only to Hungarians with Israeli passports in the government and parliament" - sounds reasonable to me. We should do the same in America. Remember the role Jewish neocons played in starting the war with Iraq? According to them it was to be cake walk paid for with Iraqi oil revenues (as the Jewish traitor and dual national Perle said). Ten years and everal trillions of dollars later, not to mention several thousand dead US soldiers, that war is not quite over yet, but Israel is very happy with the outcome.
They are back to killing one another with no referee so I'd say the wars over Max.
Off on a tangent, any US soldier I ever talked to that has been to Iraq hated the place and the Iraqis hated them...and now, they hate all Americans....strange really how things played out. Everybody knows why we were in Iraq. It is actually laughable how stupid the Bush administration thought us to tell us we were looking for WMD. Most of us were wondering WTF even back during the early days of the invasion....everyone knew it was related to OIL OIL OIL! The only reason we didn't find any WMD is because our CIA friends couldn't smuggle them in after our military was entrenched. Kind of bad for moral when the very people you are ordered to protect want to kill you....
...don't know why I added that little bit but there ya go anyway....
Typical, shoddy MSNBC reporting once again trying to attach racism to the Republican party.
Get it through your head. The NAZI party was a SOCIALIST party i.e. radical left, that used anti-semitism to bolster their political popularity. The word NAZI is an acronym for Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei which translates into National Socialist German Workers Party. It was not conservative i.e. pro smaller government. It was an ideology that wanted an over powering government in charge of every aspect of private life - sorta like what Obama wants.
But the sheeple on the left continue to promote the notion that if you are a conservative you must also be a racist using the Nazi's as their standard bearers.
Personally, I find the democrat ideology racist - that minorities are too inept to be able to survive without government assistance - that they just somehow aren't up to the task of of self determination.
Well said MOM
Another pin head remark. Blame them for not letting me control women and minorities!
Nonsense Mom. The Nazis were extreme radical right wingers. The "National Socialist" in the party name did not make them socialists any more than the "Democratic" in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, ie North Korea, makes that country democratic. Why do you think the Nazis were so violently anti-Soviet? The Soviet Union was the radical left at the time, polar political opposites of the Nazis. Learn your history before making uninformed comments. The Nazis were conservatism run amok.
Nazis were 'national' socialists, as opposed to 'international' socialists, or the communists. If it was not for Nazis battling commies in the streets of German cities, Germany would have become a communist country aligned with communist Russia. They have turned around German economy in a stunning way, and that is why they have become so popular in their country. And yes, they were very much a SOCIALIST movement in every sense of the term, because everything was subordinate to the State: from industry and farming to social programs.
Communism = government takeover of the private sector.
Fascism = AKA corporatism, the union of the government and the private sector.
In return for powering Germany's fearsome war machine, German companies were rewarded with maximum-capacity business, armies of slave labor, and the promise of unparalleled power in the envisioned Nazi-dominated post-WWII Eurasia. Most of those companies still thrive today. This litmus test is evidence that the German Nazi regime was absolutely not left wing.
The example of WWII Germany was likely one of the reasons Eisenhower warned against the "military-industrial complex" in his farewell address - such a union is inherently fascist and biased towards self-propagation. Eisenhower was absolutely correct and mostly ignored.
I thought the whole ethos of Liberalism as it pertains to government was that it is basically a political group that is "liberal" in dishing out laws, restricting speech, freedom and basically telling everyone what to buy, sell, drink, eat, breathe, spend money on....etc......sounds more like Nazi Germany than anything Conservative and Republican to me..lol.
This list is long overdue, and should be duplicated everywhere. You can't combat a threat you can't identify.
Yes, because the Jews, who are so busy trying to keep a low profile and not become scapegoats ONCE AGAIN, and are probably more worried about getting their son bar mitzvahed, are public enemy number one. Have any of you Jew haters ever actually go into a temple and listened to what is said there? They pray from the Torah and they wish for peace. The rabbis pray for peace. They don't give rabid speeches about killing the infidel and taking over the world. Let's make a list of people who just want to be left alone and not slaughtered.
For .17% of the population they sure are hated by a lot of people, since FOREVER. Ever think why?
Maybe its the horn on our heads. Or because we eat Christian babies, or because we killed Christ. How would you like me to answer that one, Joe? You obviously don't care for the Jews, so what's your excuse? Maybe you have the magic reason, and we can just change for you, and no one will ever hate us again? Or maybe, that hatred is misplaced, and undeserved, and we actually have done very little to earn it, other than to stay true to our beliefs and be a small number easily blamed for such things as the plague and the crash of the world economy. I think we have been given more credit than deserved for all the things we have been credited with accomplishing. I am not going to be able to change your mind, nor do I care to try.
Joe is just trolling...ignore him and move on....
"I have a black, a women, two Jews and a cripple. And we have talent!"
--- James G. Watt Sec. of the Interior 1981-1983
I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds. Robert Byrd Democrat Senator
Watt, resigned because of the "crippled" verbiage, the other descriptors were not an issue at the time, and still aren't.
Not sure where you are going with that one Bill?....do you like Robert Byrd or dislike?
If it is like, then your screws are loose and I would fight with an entire army of black Americans before I'd have you by my side.
If you dislike Byrd's statement say so....can't tell....it's just a quote from a racist pig...Willards isnt much better but there ya go.
Or are you guys just stirring the pot?
Watt was apponited by a Republican President. Byrd was a card carrying racist in the KKK for many years and opposed the Civil Rights movement. For every example of bad bahavior on one political party , there is a equal measure of bad bahavior on the opposite side. Point being you libs happily point fingers and gloat when speaking of conservativest, but retreat and deflect when confronted with the behavior of liberals.
Bill,
Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification. In that case, I agree and add;
Liberals democrats are more facist in my estimation.
This brings me to a grim reminder.
I lived through the McCarthy era as an adult. It was ugly and created fear and division. This country, what with all the left - right crap is going to the dogs. There is no Righ or Left America, there is only a United States of America. When are we going to get that?
I'm with you Pippo!
Go Hungary! Demand this POS dirtbags resignation! Ban the party outright if another snake like this slithers in.
Latekate here is historical facts below too
Early in 1935, a passenger ship bound for Haifa in Palestine left the German port of Bremerhaven. Its stern bore the Hebrew letters for its name, "Tel Aviv," while a swastika banner fluttered from the mast. And although the ship was Zionist-owned, its captain was a National Socialist Party member. Many years later a traveler aboard the ship recalled this symbolic combination as a "metaphysical absurdity."/1 Absurd or not, this is but one vignette from a little-known chapter of history: The wide-ranging collaboration between Zionism and Hitler's Third Reich.
Well, as a Jewish person, it's a really cool thing to see non-Jews protesting for Jews. I admit that I considered a visit to Hungary, but decided no to go there, due to the nation's lingering problems with Naziism. After seeing all of those people braving the stiff, winter cold, for the sake of morality, perhaps I will now reconsider traveling to Budapest, a city I really would like to see.
HMMM here we go again.
While taking people to task never forget that the Catholic church also strongly embraced Hitler and his party....
Yes they did. I suppose they most likely feared ending up in the same death camps as the Jews, Gypsies, handicapped and Russians....and basically any opposition period. Nazis were and are barbaric ignorant pigs. We must always snuff them out where we find them at all cost so they do not aquire power ever again.....their vision for the world is no less warped and discriminating as modern world extremist Muslim ideology.
The usual suspects, fascist, neocon, tea partiers are blaming the Mooslims for whats happening in hungary? amazing. Sandy was caused by Muslims, the recession in the US was caused by Muslims, and the upcoming bad winter also is the Mooslims fault. they would love to see Muslims in the Us taged and listed, spyed on. its already happening anyway, the scumbags NYPD and CIA jointly spyed on ordinary Muslims in NY.
and how, pray tell, does a Jewish heritage or even being a practicing Jew pose a security threat?
Dear World: being Jewish is not the same as being Israeli (and being Israeli doesn't mean you support asinine decisions made by that schmuck Netanyahu)
I would like a list of all people who would join me in outlawing the formation of lists. List your name on the enclosed list, then list whether you approve outlawing lists, or list whether you approve the formation of listing only government approved lists.
Thank you for your cooperation.
screminmimi, i too am opposed to list, but unfortunately cannot participate and join you in this effort as i would feel like a total hypocrite if i were to list my name on your enclosed list. i'll just have to be a ghost supporter.
wait, ghosts don't need support, do they?
