North Korea: Rocket launches, nuclear tests will 'target' US

SEOUL - North Korea said on Thursday it would carry out further rocket launches and a nuclear test that would target the United States, dramatically stepping up its threats against a country it called its "enemy".

The announcement by the country's top military body came a day after the United Nations Security Council agreed a U.S.-backed resolution to censure and sanction the country for a rocket launch in December that breached U.N. rules.

Kim Hong-Ji / Reuters

U.S. Special Representative for North Korea policy Glyn Davies, center, speaks at a news conference in Seoul on Thursday.

"We are not disguising the fact that the various satellites and long-range rockets that we will fire and the high-level nuclear test we will carry out are targeted at the United States," North Korea's National Defense Commission said, according to state news agency KCNA.

North Korea is believed by South Korea and other observers to be "technically ready" for a third nuclear test, and the decision to go ahead rests with leader Kim Jong-un who pressed ahead with the December rocket launch in defiance of the U.N. sanctions.

"Whether North Korea tests or not is up to North Korea," Glyn Davies, the top U.S. envoy for North Korean diplomacy, said in the South Korean capital of Seoul as KCNA released its statement.

"We hope they don't do it. We call on them not to do it," Davies said. "This is not a moment to increase tensions on the Korean peninsula."

The North was banned from developing missile and nuclear technology under sanctions dating from its 2006 and 2009 nuclear tests.

The concern now is that Pyongyang, whose only major diplomatic ally, China, endorsed the latest U.N. resolution, could undertake a third nuclear test using highly enriched uranium for the first time, opening a second path to a bomb.

North Korea's propaganda poets stay true to their muse despite world's laughter

Its previous tests have been viewed as limited successes and used plutonium, of which the North has limited stocks.

North Korea gave no time-frame for the coming test and often employs harsh rhetoric in response to U.N. and U.S. actions.

Its long-range rockets are not seen as capable of reaching the United States mainland and it is not believed to have the technology to mount a nuclear warhead on a long-range missile.

"The UNSC (Security Council) resolution masterminded by the U.S. has brought its hostile policy towards the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (North Korea) to its most dangerous stage," the commission was quoted as saying.

North Korea has Russia, China and Iran all working together for 1 common goal, to engage the US in continued conflicts to bankrupt and then beat us into submission..

we have been lucky in middle east, but after 1st gulf war it scared russia and china how fast we overcame saddams whole military ! that's too much power and they have been busy since!

now they want to prop up north korea by letting them test new technologies and to see what we will do !

dont forget china & russia has blocked the US at every turn with syria, iran and north korea.

Obama will do absolutely nothing about this. The only way Obama will initiate action against any country is after they have bombed the US or one of our facilities overseas. He does not subscribe to the preemptive strike doctrine, he only believes in proportional response to attacks against us. This means that until a North Korean missile hits the US or one of our bases/ships he will do nothing but talk to try and stop them from furthering their technological capabilities. This is why he will not take any action against Iran. Even if Iran were to detonate a nuclear weapon in a test I do not think he would do anything about it. He would wait until they set one off in the US or on a US base before he did anything. I am not even sure he would do anything if they set one off in Israel with the tepid support he has shown for Israel. These terrorist nations know this and this is why they flaunt UN resolutions and continue on with their prohibited activities. By the time Obama is ready to do anything it will be far too late. I worry what will happen if Iran succeeds in setting off a nuclear test while Obama is still in office. Will he actually wake up and recognize the danger this represents to the entire world or will he continue to try and talk to them up until the point where they use one of these weapons against the US or one of our allies (i.e. Israel). North Korea is dangerously close to having a missile that can hit the US west coast, if they do not already have one and yet Obama seems not to really care. Their successful satellite launch in December means that they do have the ability to reach the west coast, the only question is if they have a guidance system that is capable of getting it here. Following the December test, to say that North Korea does not have the capability to hit the continental US as this article states is really sticking ones head in the sand. I would really like to know in whose opinion they do not have this capability in light of their most recent successful test and what they base that opinion on.

Have you read the news since last summer? Drones have been, repeatedly crossing the Pakistan border, targeting stronghold of the Afghan Taliban's leaders and their cohorts to the extent that the life span of a potential new leader is about 6 months. President Obama strives for peace but he is not afraid of war.

ban AR15 that did nothing and do nothing about NK. I think they can send a nuke high enough and to set it off.

Which will destroy many satellites. We have more then enough way to know when they are getting ready to do this. Their launch system is very soft. More then one way to destroy their plans.

lets just watch and see. If you are worried, I have a suggestion : buy a gun, a chainsaw, lots of dry food and have ammo and 10 gallons of stabilized fuel on hand.

JS in SD, Very well put, North Korea may not have the technology to put a nuclear war head on one of their missiles (yet), but even a conventional war head will do a lot of damage to the densely populated west coast area. I have no faith in Obama and God help us all if he doesn't start taking North Korea more seriously.

I believe you are correct here in what you say. However, he has just this week been sworn in as president. So if you have no faith in him, what about Congress? If indeed it is like "sticking one's head in the sand" to say that North Korea does not have the capability to hit the continental US (as this article states), why haven't we heard from anyone else? There still is the Republicans in the House, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and the Intelligence Committee. What have any of our representatives have to say if indeed the only question is if North Korea has a guidance system capable of guiding a missile here?

Sabre rattling from a broken nation that is virtually starving due to sanctions. They only get food and medical supplies they are able to smuggle from China, who hates the US yet owns half our deficit in debt. I say we use the GW Bush doctrine and do a pre-emptive strike to both N. Korea and Iran simultaneously and blame it on the Pakistanis. That'll teach 'em to mess with the big bad United States, huh.

Time for the Republicans to come out and scare everyone into a frenzy. We just implemented our final sanctions that are pretty hard on North Korea. Obviously they are upset with us and so is Iran. Give it time to do what it is intended to do. If that does not work, then we can look at some kind of strike to set them back. Either way, they do not have the capability to attack us directly. We have time to use diplomacy still. I don't want to be like George Bush and attack before provocation. That sends the wrong message that we are the new bullies on the block. I want the message to be that we are not the new bullies, but the protectors of Democracy.

It's really easy to be an arm chair critic of our foreign and military policy at the level presented here. Clearly the risk of N. Korean adventurism (or insanity) is increasing and the USA has and continues to respond diplomatically. The calculus to fairly judge the impact of these policies is far more complex than anyone seems to have considered.

That said, no one wants N. Korea to take foolish steps that truly risks the security of much more that that region; however, the risk/reward dynamic of military intervention to prevent that from occurring is complex and quite possibly horrific - risking major breakdowns in foreign trade, the world financial system, increased terrorism, the world economy, resources to mount and sustain our efforts including diplomacy, military, the economic shock waves, and the inevitable "rebuilding effort" of both Korea's the USA would have to under take . . . and that doesn't even begin to consider the impact on the immediately local nations of Japan, Russia and China. - three huge economic and military forces.

While we can, taking every reasonable step, except military action, is prudent . . . if and when when it becomes a more immediate and clear and present danger of nuclear action by N. Korea, then we can and should be prepared for swift and decisive action. Keep in mind this will include feeding a nation that has been starving itself to death for decades. Taking that agenda on before it is essential is foolish and naive.

It is ABSOLUTELY clear to me that economic sanctions DO NOT WORK. All it does is delay the inevitable to a point where we can no longer attack without fear of nuclear retaliation. If we wait for them to have the capability to hit us, its too late.

I dont understand why this statement isnt being taken as an act of war or at least a declaration of their intent to start ANOTHER one.The same goes for the drones that Iran has stolen/hijacked from us. WHY ARENT WE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT?

SO BY ALL MEANS, LETS TRY THE SAME THING WITH IRAN (its worked so well with North Korea). Lets Wait till they have the short range nukes to take out isreal and shut down the straight, thereby starving our nation of the oil it needs. You think $4 a gallon gas sucks right now? Just wait till Iran has nukes and cuts off our supply. $35 a gallon gas is not that far away. Thereby making milk (one thing I've noticed in my 45 years is that milk always costs about the same as gasoline) and all other food, clothing, and everything else that is transported 7x more expensive!

I seriosly believe we are in so much trouble. Cruise missles, cruise missles and more cruise missles, until they quit their nuke program! NOTHING else is gonna work!

I noticed that several people made reference to a guidance system that would enable North Korea to target a U.S. city, saying that they do not posses that ability yet. Are you and the author of this article all so stupid as to believe that? Do you think that they just point the missle that lauches satallites into orbit at the sky and let it rip? NO! It has to have a sophisticated guidance system to properly launch a satallite into orbit. Come on people wake up as several have stated in these comments. They posses the necessary guidance system already to hit an American city or military base within range of their ICBM. The only question that remains is do they have more than just a fire cracker to shoot at America. If they do we have the capability to take it out before it ever reaches here.

I might add that after years of very harsh sanctions on North Korea and Iran both are still defiant. Here is where I really am going to raise the highest point the anger in a lot of people to a point never before reached and many of you will want to lynch me but before you do think about it, and I mean really think about it hard and see if you can find the sanity and logic in my next statement. Remove all sanctions from Iran, North Korea and any other country around the world and see if just possibly it might soften their attitude a little and their aggression a lot.

I enjoy this one...

Its long-range rockets are not seen as capable of reaching the United States mainland and it is not believed to have the technology to mount a nuclear warhead on a long-range missile.

Ok, this guy did not have his coffee before making that statement. If they can reach even low orbit, they can reach the US. Technology to mount a warhead? They're bolts. You use bolts to mount a warhead. Guidence system? They've got a satalite up, I think they have a guidence system.

Ya know, I'm sorry to some of you. I know it's a little early for stating the obvious. I'm not going to jump up and down and shout "DO SOMETHING OH PRESIDENT!! SHOW THEM WE ARE POWERFUL AND STUFF!!" Obama has shown that he's tough when it comes to weapons in our own country, but lets other countries kinda slip by. All you have to do is look at the news to see where Iran has been checking out our stuff (Drones) and our weapons have gone to work for someone else (Benghazi), but let's get those Semi Automatics off the street.

Sure, I'll agree with the fact that this is probably more saber rattling from a poor country. Let's face it, we've heard this montra before. The real question is, "This is a different leader, would he be more insane than his father?" Or is it just more pandering to keep his people looking at a "strong" leader in the face of poverty.

Please try and remember something folks, these are desperate people. Desperate people do desperate things. If kicking the bully in the balls gets him off you, then most kids being bullied will go that route. I think I might be inclinded to agree with love sonnet, #1.27. They have downed Russia, created divisive economic turmoil in Europe and the reason Iran, Russia and China are allies is simple they know the strings are being pulled by Zionists in America. Please read up on it. The goal is divide and conquer internally so our foes can externally take advantage of our economic and divided country. We are busy worry about the Kardashian's and the rest of the world is waiting and watching.

WE are sheep being led to slaughter. Now obama is arming Egypt and Israel is watching defiantly...I wonder what we are doing there, here, over there, and then way out there?? We are being spread thin so any amount of enemies can come knocking and that includes the U.N. We can not disarm. We must be strong. We must love our neighbor. A war with north korea depends on how we face them, a ground assualt would mean utter death for americans . Move in fighter jets, and bombers and use drones to take out there airfields first and bomb there countries military posts .while south koreans do the ground work then wait them out surrender would be in a month tops.

however the overall cost is something we can not handle at the moment with the debt crisis looming and a new fear of a rebounding recession .

Elise Mckenna-7547344 - I don't really think they have the technology to hit us with a nuke or even a non-nuclear weapon

And your US Military Officer Career Specialities of Nuclear (Weapons) Physics (with experience with the Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces, NAIRA, Course Writer, Instructor, Branch Chief, Nuclear Control Orders);Biological (Epidemiology, USAMRIID);Chemical Weapons (including experience with US Ally Iraq during the Iran Iraq Wars, Afghanistan with the USSR 40th Army use of Chemical Weapons, live agent training at Fort McClellan, storage at Site 59 Germany, Operation Golden Python and Operation Steel Box, etc.); Missiles (All, including Space Shuttle Boosters, Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces, Strategic Missiles, Anti Ballistic Missiles (Patriot, THAADs), etc.); US Military Asymmetric Warfare (Insurgency, Counter Insurgency, Counter Terrorism, Special Reconnaissance, Special Surveillance, Intelligence Verifications (pertaining to Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, Missiles, Foreign Weapons Systems), Targeting and Target Damage Assessments, etc. WAS SINCE WHEN, Elise Mckenna-7547344.

First, just like the previous USSR during the "Cold War", the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran and North Korean believe that they can "win" a Nuclear War. As to why the North Koreans have dug themselves under their mountains; also the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran has dug themselves under mountains below the threshold of current US and US Allies Weapons Systems attacks including nuclear similar to US NORAD or the USSR Ural Mountain Complex.

Second, like everyone else is mentioning, if you can put a satellite into orbit, you can attack anywhere on Earth with a Nuclear Warhead; by using Earth Rotation to traverse the distances.

Third, a very simple Missile Inertial GNC (Guidance Navigation Control) as what North Korea's Ally the Chinese already have, or a GPS based GNC using the current US GPS Satellites as similar to a current vehicle GPS or even a "smartphone" (GPS App) tied into servo motors connected to guidance fins and or maneuvering jets.

Due to President Obama's Failed Foreign Polices, I would worry more about the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran's deals they made with South American Nations to build underground nuclear attack proof missile silos (similar to the previous US Nuclear Missile Silos of the Midwest US) for the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran's ICBMs (Iran also successfully launched a satellite into orbit, as well as a monkey).

From the Article:

The concern now is that Pyongyang, whose only major diplomatic ally, China, endorsed the latest U.N. resolution, could undertake a third nuclear test using highly enriched uranium for the first time, opening a second path to a bomb.

Its previous tests have been viewed as limited successes and used plutonium, of which the North has limited stocks.

Told all of you before that using plutonium was barking up the wrong tree, unless you are building a Thermo Nuclear (Hydrogen Bomb) Warhead. Takes less effort using uranium, and still does not take very much of either (just harder (dangerous) to work with plutonium).

Steve-1101648,

Your hero worship of President Obama has NOTHING to do with the MQ strikes at Pakistan; neither does President Obama, that has/is being done by my Teams. And by the way the Fundamentalist Islamic Taliban, Al Quada, Holy Warriors of Islam have more "Leaders" and Holy Warriors of Islam (Millions) than the US can manufacturer missiles.

mike-2598123 - but after 1st gulf war it scared russia and china how fast we overcame saddams whole military ! that's too much power and they have been busy since!

We did NOT defeat the whole Iraqis Military during the First Gulf War, due to the limitations placed on the US Military by the US Politicians. At the end of the First Gulf War the Iraqis Military still had way more than ten Full Strength Armored and Mechanized Infantry Divisions.

And the Chinese and Russian Federation were laughing their arses off at the US for fighting against a previous US Ally (Iraq a US Ally during the Iran Iraq Wars; Iran a Ally of the USSR during the Iran Iraq Wars). As Iraq and President Hussein were the ONLY Counterbalance to the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran, with President Hussein using his Iraqis Oil Wealth, and Iraqis Citizens of the Iraqis Military to fight against the USSR Backed Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran. This is why during Operation Hotel California most of us protested the US Policy in accordancewith President Clinton's US Law, H.R.4655 "Iraqis Liberation Act of 1998" Section 2 Justification Weapons of Mass Destruction, Section 3 US Policy Overthrow of President Hussein, and were threatened with Letters of Reprimand, UCMJ actions; so we augmented by the US Army 10thSpecial Forces Group destroyed five full strength Iraqis Armored and Mechanized Infantry Divisions without Air Support (CAS), and created a Strategic Operational Feint to make the Iraqis Military Command and Iraqis Political Leadership believe that the main US Military Forces would be coming from US Ally Turkey and deploy most of the Iraqis Military Divisions (over ten) north of Baghdad.

mike-2598123 - we have been lucky in middle east

And it was NOT luck; but, skill. As after the Iraqis Military Divisions were deployed north of Baghdad, the USAF dropped non nuclear E-Bombs with 20th Century Iraq thrown all the way back to the Stone Ages, no electricity, no communications (to redeploy their forces to the South, nor coordinate a defense), most electric devices destroyed (including vehicle ignitions).

Will Saddam Fall Victim to the Elusive E-bomb? Feb. 18 2002

http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=125336&page=1

As far as the "Middle East", President Obama's Failed Foreign Policies Resulted in the Permanent and Irreversible US And US Allies Loss of Strategic Resources, US And US Allies Loss of Strategic Locations, US And US Allies Loss of Key Vital Strategic US Allies. With these US And US Allies Losses becoming the Gains of the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran, Russian Federation and China.

Yeah, it's the Republican's fault Frankie (please note my have sigh and eye roll). Now I got that off my chest, my opinion (just like everyone else's opinion here) is we continue to pressure North Korea. Taking off the sanctions will only embolden North Korea (and Iran also). Please note that China, for the first time, has not blocked the latest UN Resolution. China appears to be worried about North Korea also. Why? Because China has tasted economic success and they don't want to mess that up with a war. North Korea, throughout history, has threatened, demanded, thrown temper tantrums and done just about anything else to make itself relevant. The US military could do the same thing it did to Iraq's military in any war scenario and North Korea knows it. NK also knows the world is scared to death of nuclear armed North Korea. Their saber rattling is just another ploy to extract concessions out of the US so they can continue their closed society.

Regimes like this only want to perpetuate their family's power. We saw it in Iraq before the US went in, we saw in Syria and we now know what has happened there. North Korea saw it also, that is why they are scared. Make up these false claims against the US makes the people in North Korea feel their leaders are making them safe, thus keeping them in power.

Keep the sanctions, keep the pressure and keep playing it cool. Let North Korea know IF they try to take out anything of ours with a nuclear weapon, they will see first hand what a sophisticated nuclear arsenal can do. And then, the North Korea problem will be solved.

Of course, this is all my opinion.

They could target a re-entry and the CEP may be large (circular error of probability) but they could easily hit the US if they wanted.

Weaponizing a nuke to fit on a re-entry vehicle is much tougher but again this is 1950's technology that they most certainly have.

Chances are we would be able to take it out, we've had the ability to defeat small numbers of incoming warheads for a while.

But their threats are more bluster than anything.

If they launch a nuke at us they will be killed in a retalatory strike.

Elise, et al,

The N. Koreans do not have a weaponized nuke....YET. But they may very well have it in the near future.

Now is the time take out the "leader" and the other stooges in the hierarchy. If we can't, for some reason, then it may be time to send them back to the Stone Age; it would not take much of a bomb to do it.

How will you feel when MEXICO has nuclear weapons?

Are you as dumb as your name implies? Over 80% of Mexico's exports come to the US. Count the amount of money that goes to Mexico from their citizens who live in the US, legally or illegally....

In your brilliant mind... do you think that Mexico is stupid enough to upset the US?

Freaking dumbas$... Typical republican, talking out of your as$ without any idea of what the hell you are saying... Stop listening to FAUX News, FREE YOUR MIND and use your head... It isn't there to break your ears apart or for you to have somewhere to put your hat on.

A nuke test in North Korea is one more reason why the Senate should vote 'no' when it comes to Chuck Hagel.

Chuck Hagel has no problem with all of America's enemies getting nukes, he's even against sanctions on Iran. But he wants to disarm the United States of all nukes! (But before some liberals start celebrating, just remember he's against gays too!)

.

.

That's right, he wants a world where every oppressive dictatorship can get nukes and where the U.S. is completely defenseless!

That's how radical isolationist bigots think. That's how some isolationist politicians thought before and during WW2. They thought they could cut military spending and retreat from the world and that everything will be just fine.

But the world has a way of not going away no matter how deep you bury your head in the sand.

This whole thing is POINTLESS! The Koreans need to quit threating meaningless things. They are holding grudges from years ago! The fact that a mear child can recognize this should prove something. The dictator and the ones before him in North Korea need to grow up and let year old fights go. How are they ever suppose to prosper in any way? Why is it that they can't just MOVE THE HELL ON??? They want to destroy our county, due to what our PAST leaders decided. Not all the people in the U.S. are in the same belief system towards the Koreans now as they were back when all of this fighting and tension began. We have a new leader, whom I personally think is a complete and utter fail, and so is North Korea. Their new leader doesn't seem to want to change a thing. Their people worship him and despise all of us. What kind of nation is Kim Jong Un trying to lead? I am completly against war, but the fact that they are targeting us, changes my mind. They shouldn't be trying to punish every citizen of the U.S. due to what people did 50+ years ago! Move the hell on!

Plus it would damage relations with China which is an important thing to maintain as best we can. So, to provoke us, they must make the first move. All this bravado means nothing.

There are some people posting that are looking at this at a political point of view. I'm so sick of partisan politics it's crazy. This is not about politics it's about NK talking about performing nuclear bomb tests directed at America! In my opinion, we should perform the same tests directed at them, and utilize all deterrent attacks at any missiles directed towards us. In that way we've performed 2 lessons to NK; 1st we can also destroy your country at anytime and 2nd your missles will be destroyed before they even reach the US.

Here is something for all of those saying that Obama will do nothing:

Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution gives to the Executive Branch the command of the nation’s armed forces, while Article I, Section 8 gives to the Legislative Branch the power to decide when the United States goes to war.

So, technically, it is Congress that can decide when we go to war... Technically, because we know that Bush overstepped this boundary by forcing war on the US. But at least that should stop people from blaming Obama from doing nothing. The guy has done enough by ordering strikes in Pakistan, it is Congress that decides whether the US goes to war.

The other thing I find interesting is that we get upset when someone "attacks" the US, but it's OK for us to attack other countries unprovoked. Why? I am sure that, should the North Korean missile enter in US military or territorial airspace/water/etc., the response will be swift.

We have enough wars we are dealing with, lots of money being spent to kill others, let's wait before we start a new one.

    #1.69 - Thu Jan 24, 2013 8:56 AM EST

We already know they can put a satellite in orbit, so what's stopping them from replacing that payload with a nuclear device, if and when they can figure out how to properly build one? I'm not saying there is any immediate fear, but it's not a laughing matter either. We thought camel riding ragheads going suicide bomber on some remote locations weren't any real threat to the US mainland until they found a way to be. We shouldn't laughingly dismiss NK and Iran given they continue to "want to kill us".

Launching a missle with a nuclear package wouldn't even have to be on a specific trajectory toward the US, or even come back down to earth at all to cause major damage. We've already proven that detonating nuclear devices in outer space = EMP that cover a wide area on the earth beneath it. So they send up a couple "nuclear" satellites, trigger them as they orbit in succession past the US, and viola, you have millions without power, communications down or destroyed, and many people left in the dark. Sadly, NK is crazy enough to do just that.

Not deadly you say? Think about NO POWER. Everything today has a microchip and/or needs power to function. There is the initial potential for all the aircraft in the air to "drop from the skies". No hospitals will be functional after 48 hours (backup power goes down, that's even if any of the equipment/systems work after an EMP). Those struggling to survive in hospitals die. All electronics are down or fried, so no refrigeration to store foods and no ATMs or banks or grocery stores with power to take your money. No water, food delivery or sewage movement/treatment (no electricity for pumps, vehicles/trains/planes possibly inoperable or roads impassible).

All could lead to even more famine, dehydration and disease spreading. Eventually the death toll would be great, and we'd be hardpressed to rebuild our destroyed electric infrastructure to get things back to some level of normal would take years.

In my heart your words ring true but in my head the half Chinese part of my heritage takes over and reminds me that feuds and perceived slights and insults can go on forever if left unchecked. The same can be said of the Koreans, Japanese and much of Asia (and the Middle East too) as well. Sad and tragic yes but it is what it is. Hearing some of my Chinese families stories has provided a measure of insight though by no means full understanding as in the end I'm still an American (and greatfully so at that).

I love it, you hate mongers are so uneducated it's hilarious. Mexico already did have the capability, the Nuclear Research Institute of Mexico was producing weapon-grade uranium for decades and they purchased the systems for missiles from Israel. In 1961 Mexico contemplated producing a weapon, but decided not to because using it would be illegal under the U.N. Charter in any situation. In 1967 Mexico initiated and signed a treaty with almost all Latin American nations to never produce Nuclear Weapons.

And here's the kicker about your complete and utter ignorance, and why I find the irony of your name and your comment to be so hilarious. In 2010 the Obama Administration's State Department reached a deal with Mexico, to allow U.S. authorities to go remove all of Mexico's weapon-grade uranium so that the U.S. could convert it to a less potent uranium only suitable for power purposes. At the front of the deal and working inside Mexico, was none other than the middle and latter of your name, Mrs. Hillary Clinton herself and Mr. Joe Biden himself. It was covered and hailed as a great achievement for the Obama Administration on every news network around the world except FOX who somehow had no coverage. The UN inspected Mexico in 2012 and found that they had no weapon-grade uranium and said that the peaceful disarming of Mexico was an unprecedented achievement unlike any other seen in the modern world. I guess you owe those two scum some thanks :)

River boy, Sorry about the "scumbag" comment; you didn't deserve that.

The mexicans stated they had the uranium as far back as 2000 and admitted then they didn't know if they could handle it. Your facts being correct still astounds that anyone would think this is a coup on the part of the administration as hillary lies (of omission ) and squirms her way through a congressional hearing. When the obama admin lies about what happened in Benghazi to win an election and fulfills a prior agreement to deliver most of 20 f16's, 200 abrams tanks to the arab srping we have a bigger problem than an agreement to manage uranium for mexico. There is no honor among those in this administration.

I would simply put one of those high altitude laser things on alert, and when they were preparing to launch their rocket, I'd just melt that f***** right on the launch pad for them. I'll bet they would stop their @!$%# real quickly.

Even at the threat of war the US government won't consider the reasons it is hated by these countries.

Invasions, police actions, installation of dictators, sanctions, bombings and now drone strikes. I think this is a case of it's not me, it's you.

Even at the threat of war the US government won't consider the reasons it is hated by these countries.

No, the reason North Korea doesn't like us is we participated in the Korean war over 50 years ago. We stopped the North from conquering South Korea.

                                      Carl,

Do they really want to try this on the nation that has actually used nukes on people!

Not only that, but the last time we went to war with North Korea, we actually considered nuking them.

I pretty much do not take NK seriously when they make threats like this. Because any crazy action will result in the elimination of their entire country in a matter of minutes. They talk tough but they wouldn't dare. Like an 80 pound elderly man calling a 500 pound body builder a sissy. The elderly man can say whatever he wants, but he wouldn't dare throw the first punch.

North Korea has no capacity to mount an attack on the United States, nuclear or otherwise. These folks can barely feed their people. Every test they have ever run was a massive failure and the videos they send of their tests are laughable (crowds of North Korean 'scientists' cheering on command in an empty parking lot while their rockets barely get off of the ground).

All of this rhetoric is not directed at the United States and North Korea has no intention of engaging the United States in open conflict.

The rhetoric is directed at the people of North Korea. It is theater. It is propaganda designed to convince the North Korean's that the United States is an aggressive force so that they will continue to accept the prevailing reign of their dictator, the food shortages, the complete and utter control of the people by a totalitarian regime, the fact that all of North Korea's resources go to the 'military' elite.

The US could quickly (in a matter of minutes) annihilate the North Korean nuclear capabilities (which are nominal). The reason we don't is because it isn't worth the cost of the bombs.

Now - once you understand that the North Korean leadership's rhetoric has nothing to do with the United States, try to understand why our own government's rhetoric about Iran (whose nuclear capabilities aren't even as advanced as North Korea's) is so telling.

North Korea has nuclear weapons and we don't care.

Iran hasn't even gotten that far yet for seven years our politicians and defense lobbyists, as well as AIPAC, have been screaming about the Iranian Threat.

The only threat that Iran poses to the United States is by selling their oil for something other than dollars (the same way Libya began selling their oil for gold dinars - doesn't anyone ever wonder WHY we suddenly get involved in these places?).

They are an economic threat - and only because the United States has allowed corruption to reign for forty years, with one administration after another picking our pockets to the point where we have no manufacturing, a bloated financial sector, an indebted nation of civilians and generations of people without any valuable skills or the ability to think rationally on any subject.

Read between the lines people and think for yourself - what point is an embargo in a country like North Korea which is little more than rice paddy's? They don't have any money to buy anything anyways. They survive entirely off of aid from China. The entire nation is essentially a military outpost.

If they are blatantly saying they are doing these test launches to target the U.S., why don't we 'test' our capabilities of shooting them down?

There is a massive difference between a pointless war with Iraq because we thought they had WMD's, a pointless war in Afghanistan because we believed the Taliban was hiding bin laden, and a nation who straight up threatens us with nuclear weapons. This is not some "cowboy" war decision. I am sure that if Korea comes to a point where they do a test the US feels is a real threat to our nation, we, no matter who the president is, will respond accordingly. That includes Obama. It's just too bad that we've already spent a couple trillion dollars on two pointless wars and we're about to be faced with a REAL threat that would warrant a war.

Actually, I agree with Jammers. The US will gladly turn that country into a parking lot if they make substantial threats against us. For now, I think these threats are empty.

What do you expect. we never do anything to them, just tell them we're not happy.

Now they are saying they are targeting us? Why the hell haven't we blow them to hell by now? I'm sure the South Koreans would be happy if we decided to wipe them up. NK will probably whoop on SK first, but still. How long you gonna take this crap.

Oh, and we've been sending them food relief the whole time they've been doing this. How's that make you feel? Ain't got money for people at home, but we'll send food to a country that's saying it is pointing nuclear weapons at us. WTF.

However; if a nation develops a credible WMD capability and continues to threaten the US, their words and actions will be interpreted quite differently by the US and the rest of the world.

See, China owns us so we cannot attack their babies. If we do, well ... it wouldn't be pretty. But China will be completely a-okay with them actually hitting us (if possible). We're filthy Americans, you know? People are just waiting to stab us in the back and break us.

We could end this in less than 2 hours we have these stupid morales that won't allow us to intentionally risk civilian casualties. thing that pisses me off as that we seem to be the only ones playing by rules.

WRONG, THAT IS THE US DEFENSE BUDGET. THE MAJORITY OF THE US DEFENSE BUDGET GOES TO THE ALMOST HUNDRED MILLION OVERPAID TOO EXPENSIVE "FAIR AND LIVING WAGE" US CIVILIANS.

President Obama, 2012, "A 10% Defense Budget Cut will result in a million (US) Civilians becoming Unemployed".

                                            Federal Spending:

                                            60% Entitlements

                                            20% Defense

                                            13% Discretionary Spending

7% Interest (like interest on Loans from China)

As part of the US Defense Budget are also those US Army Corps of Engineer Infrastructure Projects within the US, like the "Berms" (earthen levees) at New Jersey that prevented Hurricane Sandy flooding, Levees at New Orleans, Bridges, Dredging of rivers and streams, irrigation canals, water reserviors, Dams, etc..

I guarantee that all these people on here that are saying "they would never nuke us because IF they strike us we will eliminate them quickly so lets just ignore this weakling nation" will be the same people blaming our government for not doing anything after NYC is a smolderring nuclear wasteland.

I can only hope that most of them live in the city that North Korea targets with their incapable nuclear weapons so that I dont have to say "I told you so" because they will be gone and their pansy a$$ attitude will no longer be relevent. There are some people on this planet that the "live and let live" attitude only enables and emboldens their appocalyptic desires! N. Korea is one of those countries and needs to be extinguished!

I do not wish for the US to be nuked, but I DO believe that is N.Koreas desire and objective. I also believe that the sanctions are not and will never stop them. If they worked then they would never have been able to perform their first couple of nuclear tests as they have. It is only a matter of time before they are capable! Therefore I believe they will achieve their goal.

If I have an M16 rifle, and my enemy has a baseball bat and everytime he see me he threatens me with it, Im not gonna wait till he knocks me out with it to blow his head off! Im gonna shoot him in the face and then take his baseball bat and shove it up his a$$. I believe this is the approach we should take with N. Korea AND Iran!!!

It is time for Japan to spend a few hundred billion dollars a year for defense. Japan and German are both super powers and deserve seats in the UN security council more than both French or Britain. In a couple years, they will have more nukes than China, French or Britain combined. China and N. Korea will be on their knees begging for Japan kindness while the US defense industries will get billions from licenses and technology tranfer and the US Navy can save billions keeping its fleets home to stop drug smugging!!!

You must live in an imaginary world. Japan and Germany do not have nuclear weapons, remember WWII? After that war we restricted their military, so no they aren't super powers. Even to this day their armies are small because of old restriction the US and the allies placed on them. If anything, they rely on our bases on their soil for some protection.

Also, I don't really see how our fleets would be able to fight drug smuggling when there are cheaper ways to effectively do that. Why use 11 aircraft carriers with jet fighters to stop a propeller plane?

Although I do agree with you that the Fed has generated the majority of our economic problems by devaluing the dollar (QE1, QE2, and QE infinity). There are other factors that have been initiated by President Obama that has perpetuated this economic cesspool that we are in.

The blame also needs to extend to the last two years of the Bush administration "I've abandoned free market principals to save the free market system", and the congress during those years forcing banks to lower the standards so that everyone could own a home regardless of their ability to pay for it.

However, since President Obama has stated that he wants a reduction of the forces, and a huge reductuction of our nuclear arsenal. I guess I am confused. Does the President not know that a war is coming, or does he just want this colonial power (the US) knocked down a few pegs?

Wow all those frequent flier miles Hillarious Clinton traveled and was praised for by the Democrats today at the Benghazi hearings have truly made America that much safer--this is so true based on Benghazi, Algeria, and North Korea just to mention of few of those issues that prove America is safer now than it was 4 years ago.

One fun fact to point out to you: Under the Bush administration, while it was invading Iraq for no good reason at all... North Korea went from being a non-nuclear state, to testing a nuclear weapon. They were making the real weapons of mass destruction while Bush was settling his fathers old score with Saddam. So yeah, Bush did such a good job keeping us safe from North Korea. Oh, and then there is the whole 9/11 thing in which 3000 Americans were killed by terrorist under Bush's watch. We were REAL safe under the last Republican president, weren't we?

While four Americans being killed in a foreign country is nothing to sneez at, if thats you're big "Were not safe with Obama in office" point, you need to get your head out of your ass and ask the leaders of al-qaeda what they think about Americas safety.... oh thats right you can't, because there all dead. Something else Bush never seemed to care much about doing.

Newly declassified documents show that President Bill Clinton personally
approved the transfer to China of advanced space technology that can be used for
                                                  nuclear combat.

The documents show that in 1996 Clinton approved the export of radiation
hardened chip sets to China. The specialized chips are necessary for fighting a
                                                  nuclear war.

"Waivers may be granted upon a national interest determination," states a
Commerce Department document titled "U.S. Sanctions on China."

"The President has approved a series of satellite related waivers in recent
months, most recently in November, 1996 for export of radiation hardened chip
sets for a Chinese meteorological satellite," noted the Commerce Department
                                                  documents.

These special computer chips are designed to function while being bombarded
by intense radiation. Radiation hardened chips are considered critical for
atomic warfare and are required by advanced nuclear tipped missiles.

Judicial Watch obtained the documents through the Freedom of Information Act,
                                                  a Washington-based political watchdog group.

Several documents were withheld from release by the U.S. Commerce Department
for commercial and personal privacy exemptions, but none of the documents were
withheld for national security reasons. Judicial Watch is expected to appeal the
                                                  withholdings.

                                                  Decade of Betrayal

U.S. intelligence sources stated that the newly released documents illustrate
the extent to which the Clinton White House placed trade – and trade with China
                                                  specifically – above national security.

"In all likelihood we will be glowing in the dark before we discover the true
extent of the Clinton decade of betrayal," stated Rick Fisher, Asian Security
Fellow at the Center for Security Policy.

"If it was indeed intended for a new PRC weather satellite, then it is
possible that it was used for their new polar orbit weather satellites. This is
significant because the Chinese themselves acknowledge that their polar orbit
weather satellites directly contribute to their long-range missile targeting
capability. This becomes even more important for their new smaller but more
accurate warheads, used on their new DF-31, DF-31A, DF-5 Mod2 and JL-2 missiles.
If they encounter significant weather, warhead accuracy degrades, reducing their
                                                  utility," stated Fisher.

"Inasmuch as similar U.S. military weather satellites perform the same
missions, the Clinton Administration had to have known they were assisting a PLA
                                                  strategic military capability," concluded Fisher.

In addition, the Chinese military is clearly interested in acquiring advanced
radiation hardened computer chips for its strategic nuclear arsenal.

                                                  U.S. Chips for PRC Nukes

Currently, China has only liquid fueled, long-range missiles, and the
majority of them are based inside underground silos. These long-range rockets
are reported to be "bore-sighted" – meaning the underground silos are aimed
directly at target cities inside the United States.

The Chinese army is now attempting to shift its strategic nuclear arsenal to
a solid-fuel "launch on command" capability. These new missiles are rail- and
road-mobile and require sophisticated electronic guidance systems to accurately
                                                  strike their intended targets.

As part of this upgrade, the Chinese army is also modifying its nuclear
warhead designs to arm new survivable missiles such as the DF-31 and JL-2.
Chinese engineers are planning to equip these new missiles with MIRV technology,
allowing each missile to carry multiple nuclear warheads.

Again, the U.S. radiation hardened computer chip technology is a logical
addition to the reconfiguration and upgrade of Chinese nuclear weapons.

                                                  Stolen U.S. Chips

Another critical element of the Clinton-supplied waiver is the fact that it
took place during an investigation of Chinese espionage into missing U.S.
                                                  radiation hardened satellite chips.

In February 1996, a Chinese Long March rocket carrying a Loral Intelsat
satellite failed and crashed on lift-off. The Loral Intelsat payload was badly
damaged. The Chinese intended to launch the Loral satellite into deep space as
they had been paid to do by Loral CEO Bernard Schwartz.

However, fate took a twisted path, and so did the Chinese rocket. The Long
March rocket failed on launch and crashed into a nearby Chinese village, killing
over 200 innocent civilians. The failure of the Long March allowed the U.S. to
recover the sealed satellite guidance box, which revealed the control board of
                                                  radiation-hardened chips was missing.

The missing board from the Loral Intelsat satellite is no mystery. It quickly
became obvious that Chinese engineers removed the special electronics and kept
the board for examination. The stolen Loral electronics consist of radiation
hardened, encrypted telemetry chips, stored in a secure flight control box
similar to those found on airliners. The NSA changed all U.S. satellite codes as
a result of the stolen Loral chips, costing American taxpayers millions of
                                                  dollars.

                                                  1996 Illegal Campaign Donations

Another factor involved in the November 1996 waiver issued by then-President
Clinton is the fact that illegal money entered the U.S. elections from the
Chinese army. The money was donated to the DNC from a variety of sources
including convicted Chinagate figures John Huang, Charlie "Yah-Lin" Trie and
                                                  Johnny Chung.

The 1996 Clinton-Gore campaign readily accepted much of the money from the
Chinese army sources without question, and in some cases took these donations in
cash. The allegations of Chinese espionage and illegal campaign donations were
                                                  never investigated properly.

The successful effort by China to obtain U.S. microchip technology included
espionage, sabotage and perhaps bribery. The red intelligence windfall freed the
Chinese army to more accurately target American cities with atomic weapons using
                                                  advanced U.S technology.

The legacy that President Clinton left for the 21st century is a modern
Chinese army equipped for global nuclear war.

Not only that , they allowed chinese into 1 of our most advanced rocket developement sites , sites that required top secret clearance & allowed access to top secret matl. Just do the search, youll find he sold us out for election money to the chinese who then supply N Korea

& NOT JUST CLINTON , BUT NOW OBAMA , PLEASE READ

                                                  by Craig Masters

If the Bernie Madoff ponzi scheme was the greatest financial theft in history, the Obama stimulus money for green energy is a close second and closing. The latest losses to American taxpayers is the selling of ‘green energy’ battery leader, A123. Regardless of the outcome of the current round of intense lobbying both for and against the sale of A123 to a powerful Chinese investor who strongly supports the Communist government, American taxpayers will lose – again.

At stake in this latest round of high technology transfer to China is the now bankrupt manufacturer of the world’s most advanced batteries for use in space, remote-operated military aircraft, America’s electric power grid controls, and of course the best of the hybrid vehicles.
At the time of the company’s filing for bankruptcy on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, the company announced plans to try to pay off its investors by selling a major part of its business to American-owned Johnson Controls Inc. instead of the Chinese-owned Wanxiang America Corp.
But in early December the bankruptcy court auctioned off the company to the highest bidder. That highest bidder was the Wanxiang Group whose chief executive, Lu Guanqiu, is one of the richest people in China and has close ties to the Communist government. Wanxiang reportedly won the bidding with a $256million bid.

In addition to the $250million stimulus money lost almost immediately – in fact the company hadn’t even received all the stimulus money payments when it went bankrupt – A123 has received millions in Defense Department funds for research and development of smaller, lighter, longer-lasting power cells capable of operating satellites and guidance systems on missiles as well as missile defense systems that move from ground atmosphere to space in seconds.

The U.S. Army alone has more than $26million invested in A123 technology. While the Navy has less money invested directly, according to retired Vice-Admiral Barry Costello, former commander of the U.S. Navy’s Pacific fleet, the transfer of the technology that A123 developed at taxpayers’ expense is a serious threat to the security of the United States while at the same time moving the Chinese military ahead of their present technology by at least 10 years.

As of this week, Washington is awash with lobbyists working their leverage on key members of Congress. Last week a federal judge allowed creditors of A123, who stand to gain the lion’s share of the sale money, to hire a D.C.-based lobbying firm to try to convince the feds to approve the sale to the Chinese. Johnson Controls has acknowledged in court papers filed on Monday January 14, that the American company has been engaged in lobbying and says its right to do so is protected by the First Amendment.
In addition to the two heavyweight players, a creditors’ committee has been formed and won permission to join the lobbying free-for-all through the firm Capitol Counsel. The creditors claim they need to lobby on behalf of the sale because Johnson Controls was mounting considerable support against the sale.

In filings around the country, individual investors have filed suits to try to recover their investments based on such claims as the fact that the federal government mislead the public in the financial strength A123 and overstated the company’s intellectual assets.
The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States must approve the sale to Wanxiang in whatever form it eventually takes. But considering the intellectual property will no doubt remain inside the minds of those who developed it and those people will become employees of a Communist Chinese government controlled operation – the U.S. taxpayers will lose another round against a democrat president building personal power by aligning himself with America’s enemies instead of protecting Americans. Boeing aircraft was forced to give away its technology to the Chinese by the Clinton administration. Now Obama is set to hand over key power technology and defense secrets in the name of a slight-of-hand financial maneuver designed to hide another money trail.

Let’s let Bernie Madoff out to show us how it’s all done!

How about we just send troops there and start another war we can't afford. We have to cut down on the amount of young people in this country anyway since they will probably vote democratic anyway. Even if they launched a rocket at the US we have the technology to shoot it down before it even got close to us. Typical warmongering by the right is what I see here.We had one President that lied us into a war in which my grandson died. Are you ready to see your son, daughter, grandson or any member of your family die? Especially after the fiasco in Iraq. The Rethuglican's haven't learned a thing, and that's one reason they keep losing elections and will continue to lose till they are gone, which isn't far away.Fear mongering won't work this time.

Rich, I have no idea what "scaremongering" or "warmongering" you saw in this article, I saw a US envoy announce North Korea pushing another missile test.

You should really calm down and stop blaming Republicans for all of your troubles.

Obama, a Democrat, pushed to keep combat troops in Iraq. I bet that's something you don't remember. What's your stance on the PATRIOT act? Obama also voted to have that reauthorized, voted to extend wire tap provisions in 06, and voted in favor of the legislation of the Bush administration's warrentless wiretaps.

There are worse things out there than "Rethuglicans."

                                                  ******************************FULL OF SH!T***************************

John S-400329 - Under the Bush administration, while it was invading Iraq for no good reason at all

US POLICY OVERTHROW OF PRESIDENT HUSSEIN, IN ACCORDANCE WITH PRESIDENT CLINTON'S US LAW H.R.4655. SECTION 2 JUSTIFICATION WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.

John S-400329 -They were making the real weapons of mass destruction while Bush was settling his fathers old score with Saddam.

WRONG, PRESIDENT CLINTON'S US LAW, H.R.4655 SECTION 2 JUSTIFICATIONS (FINDINGS):

                                                  (6) In April 1993, Iraq orchestrated a failed plot to assassinate former President George Bush during his April 14-16, 1993, visit to Kuwait.

THE FACTS DO NOT FIT THE NON FACTUAL DEMONCRAP NARRATIVE.

John S-400329 - Oh, and then there is the whole 9/11 thing in which 3000 Americans were killed by terrorist under Bush's watch.

Fantomdog - Why aren't you calling for Bush and Company's heads for KNOWING the U.S. was going to be attacked months before 9/11,

It was President Clinton's belief that the Cold War Era US Defense, US Intelligence, US Military were no longer needed. President Clinton as Commander In Chief Ordered the US Defense Budget Cuts, the Gutting of the US Intelligence Agencies, the Cut to the Bone Reduction In Forces of the US Military; with the Results of: The US Blind and Deaf to the Events leading up to the 9/11 2001 Attacks per Bipartisan US Congressional 9/11 Commission (Committee) Investigations, Findings, and Recommendations with former President Clinton saying, "I'm a so sorry".

Previously, the US Intelligence Agencies were built up by the Director of the CIA Bush, that later became US President Bush (41); with the then US Intelligence Agencies being the envy of the World (since the Fall of the USSR, and KGB).

After President Clinton (42) Gutting of the US Intelligence Agencies, the US no longer had local intelligence assets within most Nations. Without funding most of the previous local intelligence assets worldwide became those Nations Counter Intelligence Agents (Anti US). The US then had to rely on the information (Not even intelligence) from "Potentially Hostile" Nations like Pakistan, Jordan, etc.. Many of the US Allies refused to allow US access to their intelligence nor intelligence assets fearing the US would compromise their local intelligence assets.

As part of the Cut to the Bone Reduction In Forces of the US Military were the removal of all Cold War Era Anti Aircraft Missile Batteries to protect US Cities; as well as, the removal of the USAF Interceptors on Standby at US Civilian Airports.

Because the US Military was Cut to the Bone, it took President Bush (43) from 2001 till 2003 to mobilize, activate, recall enough US Military to Accomplish (Mission Accomplished) President Clinton (42) US Law, H.R.4655 as US Policy Overthrow of President Hussein. As the majority of the US Military had either been Deactivated or became the ill funded, ill equipped and minimium maintained State's National Guard; this required a change to DOD Policy in that the States National Guard could be Federally Activated for rotations into Combat as what the "Weekend Warriors" did not sign up for so they started to become vocal saying Iraq War Illegal (was not "illegal" due to US Law H.R.4655) Unfunded (was not "unfunded" due to US Congressional Appropriations).

Of course the FACTS do not fit the Demoncrap NON Factual Narrative.

                                                  LISTEN TO YOUR President:

We cannot mistake absolutism for principle, or substitute spectacle for politics, or treat name-calling as reasoned debate. - President Obama 2013 Inaugural Speech

"Ignorance is ignorance; no right to believe anything can be derived from it". - Sigmund Freud:

nebnormal - Barb - You seem to forget that North Korea developed it's nuclear weapons during the Bush presidency while George was chasing windmills in Iraq

Go research Sargat Iraq. And "George" (you being a hypocrite, previously saying "disrespect" President) was not chasing windmills it was our arses at Iraq during 2001 Operation Viking Hammer and Hotel California, with us attacking seizing and securing the Iraqis Chemical Weapons Facility at Sargat Iraq; just like President Obama did not suit up and kill Osama Bin Laden during the Presidential Authorized Mission Delegated to the Director of the CIA, Commander US Military Special Operations Command, Commander US Military Joint Special Operations Command since President Bush (43) after the 9/11 2001 Attacks as Locate and Capture Osama Bin Laden, Capture being important to gain the thought processes and planning processes that Osama Bin Laden imprinted on his Al Quada Leadership for the US to preemptively interdict all Al Quada Activities Worldwide. The Termination Mission Failing the Capture of Osama Bin Laden as a Mission Failure Authorized by President Bush (43) after President Bush amended the US No Assassination Policy 2006.

Harvard International Review, 2006, Article, "US No Assassination Policy On The Offensive".

President Bush (43) Amending the US No Assassination Policy was absolutely necessary, as previously President Clinton (42) used the US No Assassination Policy as an excuse NOT to authorize the Termination of Osama Bin Laden by the US Military Asymmetric Warfare Forces so that they could go home to their families, after President Clinton let Osama Bin Laden go after the 1993 First World Trade Center Bombings.

Of course the FACTS do not fit the Demoncrap NON Factual Narrative.

Fantomdog - but Obama has ONE attack in Benghazi that tragically killed 4 Americans, and the GOP want his head

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME A US AMBASSADOR WAS MURDERED.

AND YOU DON'T SEE SOMETHING WRONG WITH WHAT PRESIDENT OBAMA DID:

As far as the Entire Situation:

                                                  A. It was President Obama's Failed Foreign Policies, as seen by the Ayatollahs of Iran as the US negotiating from a position of US Defeat,

                                                  B. that caused the Ayatollahs of Iran to Increase their Overt and Covert Activities Worldwide against the US (Great Satan) and US Allies Worldwide.

                                                  C. The Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran had to get the US and US Allies Kicked out of the Islamic Shia Nation of Iraq to: 1. Stop being stuck between the US and US Allies Military Forces (Iraq and Afghanistan)., 2. No possible US and US Allies Military Forces interventions of Iran's Special Forces, Quds, training arming funding millions of Holy Warriors of Islam at the Fundamentalist Islamic Autonomous Kurdistanis Region of Northern Iraq.

And since it has been the Longterm Strategic Goal of the Allies of the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran, the Chinese and Russian Federation to get the US and US Allies out of their Backyards (Resources), the Chinese and Russian Federation get the Iraqis Oil that could have paid for the US And US Allies Military Liberation of Iraq with Decades to Centuries of Iraqis Oil. This Strategic Loss of World Resources made the Libyan Oil of Strategic Importance to the US European Allies; however President Obama was already outsmarted as thousands of Holy Warriors of Islam had already helped the Fundamentalist Islamic Muslim Brotherhood take over US Ally Egypt and were attacking US Ally Libya to get the Libyan Military Munitions Depots at Benghazi to attack other African Nations.

                                                  D. At the same time everything else is going on the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran is placing pressure (will use Iranian Military) on the Pakistanis Government, Afghans, etc. to get the US and US Allies OUT. As during the British Empire Era (British Colonies) the British Knew that the Pakistanis Sea Ports, Bases for Logistics, Khyber Pass, etc. at Pakistan were ESSENTIAL and Mandatory for any "British Adventures" at LANDLOCKED Afghanistan. So without these US Military Logistics Bases at Pakistan, the United Nations Mission Afghanistan can only support 30,000 including International Aid Workers; the Unsupported UN, US and NATO Military Forces must abandon US Ally Afghanistan again to be Massacred by the Fundamentalist Islamic Taliban once again; just like after the US abandoned the 1980s US Ally Pro US Afghan Muhajeen to be massacred by the 1990s Fundamentalist Islamic Taliban fully backed by the USSR Backed Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran, then without any opposition they massacred any suspected Collaborators to the Christians, Jews, Unbelievers in accordance with Fundamentalist Islamic Laws. The 1990s Fundamentalist Islamic Taliban then destroyed 20th Century US Ally Afghanistan, destroying anything, "Western", "Modern", "Non Islamic".

So Unsupported without the US Military Logistics Support Bases at Pakistan the UN, US, and NATO Military Forces must leave United Nations Mission Afghanistan by 2014.

                                                  E. The Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran, pressured the Afghans to give the Ally of Iran, the Chinese, the Mineral Wealth of Afghanistan. China Metallurgical Group. Immediately afterwards the Chinese place Restrictions on the Shipments of Mineral Resources to the US and US Allies, this makes it so that anything manufactured requiring these Minerals must be Made In China, as the opportunity for the Chinese to adopt (steal) any or all US And US Allies Technology and Innovations and to improve the Chinese Economy.

                                                  F. International Intelligence Agencies and US Ally President Gaddaffi report, "Increased Al Quada Activities". US Ally President Gaddaffi reports this thru the US Department of State channels previously established by SOS Condoleezza Rice. President Obama ignores the warnings, just like President Obama ignored the US Ally President Mubarak's warning of "Increased Al Quada Like Activities", ignored the US Ally President Saleh's warning of "Increased Al Quada Activities", etc. (more US Allies Established Government that were later Overthrown). US Ally President Gaddaffi has his Libyan Military start attacking the Holy Warriors of Islam that are at Libya to Kill US Ally President Gaddaffi the Collaborator to the Christians, Jews, Unbelievers, seize the Libyan Military Munitions (weapons, ammunition) Depots at Benghazi to support their future attacks throughout Africa and the "Middle East", release the President Obama Guantanamo Prisoners transfered to US Ally President Gaddaffi's Prisions, and seize 20,000 portable shoulder launched SA-7 Anti Aircraft Missiles to shoot down US Airlines to "Cripple the US Economy". President Obama starts the name calling of the US Allies as "Dictators", "Dictators Killing Their Own People" etc. then withdraws all US Support, US Assistance, and US Funding from these US Allies.

                                                  G. President Obama as Commander In Chief Illegally Orders* the US Military to attack US Ally Libya to support the "Libyan Rebels" of Al Quada Saudi Arabia (AQ), Al Quada Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), Al Quada Syria (AQS), Al Quada Yemen (AQY), Hezbollah, Al Quada Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), etc. that went to Libya to Murder US Ally President Gaddaffi the Collaborator to the Christians, Jews, Unbelievers; they become Ansar Al Shariah to protect and instate Fundamentalist Islam at Libya.

*Illegally as in against US Law, that Restricts and Limits the President's War Powers, 1973 War Powers Resolution (Act). And no US Law (therefore Illegal) with US Congressional Appropriations (therefore Unfunded) like President Clinton and President Bush had to cover their arses.

The USN launches Ship and Submarine launched Cruise Missiles as the First Attacks against US Ally Libya with terminal guidanceby US Military Asymmetric Warfare "Boots on the Ground" attached to the CIA's SAD/SOG. The US Allies and NATO are hesitant to get involved, with US Ally Germany refusing to participate Militarily. The USN Aircraft Carrier Strike Group launches airstrikes, as some of the US Allies ships are just getting to range of US Ally Libya. US Ally President Gaddaffi attempts to escape and the US Military Asymmetric Warfare Forces attached to the CIA's SAD/SOG terminally guide a MQ (Armed Drone) to attack US Ally President Gaddaffi's SUV Convoy. US Ally President Gaddaffi hides in a drainage conduit and is found, beaten and murdered.

Ansar Al Shariah seized the Libyan Military Depots (decades of weapons and ammunition including SA-7 anti aircraft missiles) to attack other African Union (UA) Nations.

The Libyan Islamic Fighting Group were killing US Military at Iraq, they became the Libyan Government as supported and recognized by President Obama.

                                                  H. President Obama and Vice President Biden Inflamed the over 1.5 Billion Islamic Believers Worldwide with their, "Osama Bin Laden is Dead, GM is Alive".

At many Islamic Nations the over 1.5 Billion Islamic Believers respond with "Obama, Obama, We Are All Osama". As they believe that the Great Satan (US), President Obama has just declared War on Islam. This is worse than the violence of the Pastor Threatening to Burn the Holy Koran; Worse than bragging that you murdered the Pope, while still at Italy; Worse than any cartoons of Mohammad; etc.. As Osama Bin Laden was their Greatest Holy Warrior of Islam Superstar.

                                                  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pJGX1JzyFc

                                                  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udSEcQbM308

Ansar Al Shariah plans the attacks on the US Consulate (not too far away from them, since they started at Benghazi to overthrow US Ally President Gaddaffi) to coincide with Osama Bin Laden's Greatest Defeat of the Great Satan (US), 9/11.

During the over 7 hour Attack President Obama as Commander In Chief refuses to us any of the US Military Forces of US AFRICOM located less than 2 hours away by slow propeller driven C-130s or US Military Helicopters. A unarmed RQ (drone) is sent instead of a MQ (armed drone) or AC-130 with the munitions capable of being terminally guided by the Ex USN SEALs of the US Ambassador.

The Commander of US AFRICOM, General Ham, volunteers the US Military Forces of US AFRICOM, President Obama opposes and demands that General Ham submit his Letter of Resignation and go on Retirement, just like President Obama did to General McKiernan (Commander ISAF Afghanistan), General McChrystal (Commander ISAF Afghanistan after General McKiernan), etc..

US Citizens at the US Consulate of Benghazi are murders by Ansar Al Shariah. SOS Clinton states, "Funding not the issue", take a guess what the "issue" was (hint: who not what, as Ordered "Low US Presence at Libya" while the US Ambassador and LTC Wood stated since February increased US Military (not Libyan Security).).

Ansar Al Shariah goes to Algeria, Tunisia, then attack Mali.

Presidential Candidate Romulan during the Presidential Debates mentions Mali, President Obama is caught like a "Deer in the Headlights" (blank stare of ignorance, knows nothing).

                                                  I. US Military Asymmetric Warfare Forces previously after years of consecutive tours at Afghanistan while on R&R, Leaves, at CONUS and on Training Status are pulled off of R&R and Leaves and sent to US AFRICOM, and arrive long before the FBI. We told those that were creating US AFRICOM to learn Arabic and Islam; and NOT some obscure African Languages. After securing certain things at Libya given to US AFRICOM the US Military Asymmetric Warfare Forces are Ordered deployed back to Afghanistan, instead of going back on R&R, Leaves and Training Status.

                                                  J. Summary, President Obama's Ordered Overthrow of US Ally President Gaddaffi destabilized the Entire Continent of Africa, as US Ally President Gaddaffi and his Libyan Military were the only one's keeping the Holy Warriors of Islam in check and stuck fighting at Libya, using the money from his sales of Libyan Oil to the US European Allies, and using the lives of the Libyan Citizens of his Libyan Military (part of the deal he made to become a US Ally).

The Ally of the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran, the Chinese got the Libyan Oil, not the US European Allies, this makes the other African Nations Resources of Strategic Importance to the US European Allies. Also the Mediterranean Ports of Libya allow the Holy Warriors of Islam closer locations to attack the US European Allies (still considered the "Crusaders" by Islamic Believers). Former US Ally Egypt was Strategic to attack US Ally Libya, also Egypt's Strategic Suez Canal, locations closer to attack US Ally Israel, locations closer to support the Hamas Warlords and Army of Islam Gaza. Former US Ally Iraq was Strategic to gain the Support of the Chinese and Russian Federation (Money for Iraqis Oil, Technology, Weapons, etc. for the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran).

The US and US Allies Losses due to President Obama's Failed Foreign Polices are irreversable and permanent as the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran, Chinese, and Russian Federation are building up their 21st Century Military Forces to secure and protect all their gains from the US And US Allies losses of Strategic Resources Worldwide (required for the current US Standard of Living and the future US Alternative Energy), losses of Strategic Locations Worldwide, and the losses of Vital Strategic US Allies Worldwide.

The Longterm Strategic Goal of the Chinese and Russian Federation has been to get the US and US Allies out of their Backyards (Resources). The Chinese and Russian Federation using the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran as their "Proxy Fighter", the Fundamentalist Islamic Shia Republic of Iran using the Holy Warriors of Islam as their "Proxy Fighters" Worldwide.

Of the almost thousand of us that started with the US Military Training Teams to US Ally Iraq during the Iran Iraq Wars, rotated to Operation Cyclone, that were preventing the above from occuring, only a few dozen of have survived. With most of us going back on Retirement again very soon, so these problems created by President Obama that negated all of our decades of work (many of our peers deaths) will all be the problem of Generation X and Generation Y.

                                                  UPDATE TO ABOVE:

THE WEAPONS SEIZED BY THE PRESIDENT OBAMA SUPPORTED "LIBYAN REBELS" OF Al Quada Saudi Arabia (AQ), Al Quada Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), Al Quada Syria (AQS), Al Quada Yemen (AQY), Hezbollah, Al Quada Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), etc. that went Libya to Murder US Ally President Gaddaffi the Collaborator to the Christians, Jews, Unbelievers.

So now all the weapons seized by the "Libyan Rebels" (actually Holy Warriors of Islam) are going to be used to attack the rest of the African Nations.

This is now confirmed by SOS Clinton as:

She did say that there is no doubt that Algerian terrorists have weapons they obtained from depots in Libya that were opened up and “liberated” after the dictator Moammar Gadhafi was toppled, with U.S. and NATO help, in 2011.

The US should strike a deal with China and let them invade North Korea with no opposition from anyone. China adds to its living space, North Korea's standard of living grows dramatically and no more problems in the region for anyone from North Korea. They are worrying China as much as the rest of the world.

If only . . . Of all POTUS Reagan's "Star Wars" plans, the "Brilliant Pebbles" had the most potential for actually being feasible. The ability to drop a 400 lb. tungsten telephone pole from space at orbital speed (17,500+ mph) sure would be handy now and again, wouldn't it?

What is one more over the ocean failure. No evidence, no clues, no crime. They are in violation of UN resolutions, so they can't expect to go ahead with no problems.

For all the talk about how much a danger Iran is, the real threat to the real threat to the US right now. With all do respect, Iran is Israel's problem, not ours. They are perfectly capable of dealing with Iran themselves. Not to mention that for all their talk, Iran is a far more moderate nation then most realise... and they have no more desire for a war with the US then we do. Besides, if Isreal didn't have a "secret" arsenal of nuclear weapons... its unlikely Iran would even care about one of its own right now.

North Korea on the other hand? Who the hell knows. War with them should be avoided at all cost, but it may not be our choice. I don't personaly think NK would re-start an active war with the US... but they are such an unpredictable nation its impossible to know. If our sanctions really start to hit them, or they have some sort of nasty internal problems its not impossible to see them attacking South Korea.

Tell North Korea and China, if we see a missile coming our way they both get nuked in about a heartbeat. North Korea is just a puppet rogue state of China, China could control them in one day if they wanted, they use them to scare the world while they act nice and make our dishes and stuff. Lend Japan some Nukes and tell them if they have to shoot at either of these crazies, we will back them up with another hundred or so warheads.

I am praying that we make the right decisions as part of God's will for us in America. We must trust Him for our answers to the threat of this little country. Remember how many times little Israel won battles due to the Lord's hand? Remember how many times they were defeated when they disobeyed God? Folks, we need to trust God and get Him back into our government, and schools, and homes, and families.

This is a huge military, poorly trained, antique weapons, a megalomaniac for a leader and starving population. They don't have the petrol to move equipment and their technology is 3rd world at best. If they make too much of a threat or bluster China will be forced to play daddy and tell them to shut up. If they piss off the American military they are finished. They are starving for attention, (and food) and if the world's attention is on some other crisis they start to rattle their sabers.

If they invaded the south they would win hands down. The overwhelming long term effects would be a loss for them. It's essentially Iran's position, give the enemy huge losses in a trade for their own navy, airforce etc..

Trent, what ever you're smoking I want some. Obviously you have never ever been in contact with South Korean marines or soldiers. I had the pleasure of working with both the White Horse and Tiger Divisions while stationed in Vietnam. Believe me when I say this, they will not over run the south, and if they attempt to they will be annihilated, there are mine fields between the North and South they have to transverse first, then they have to face these Tigers and White Horses, and then of course there are our guys and our response forces. The North is rattling their sabers, they know they wouldn't have a prayer of surviving in power if they initiated any action against the South, China wouldn't allow it for one thing, and the U.S would bring hellfire and damnation down upon their poor primitive heads.

He plays to his dead beat babies who dont want to work and he does not create jobs nor does he want to stop Iran or NK. These are his Commies buddies. I guess the dead beats will see soon. Boom

Yes, we must make sure that they don't get the capabilities to do so, but thats a long way off. Once again Obama haters like yourself, blame him for everything. FYI, your beloved Bush, did nothing to stop the North. It would be refreshing to see the idiots like you stop politicizing everything, but I'm sure you can't help yourself.....

It's time for you to take your limited education back to Burger King and STFU.

They have a satellite in orbit that passes over the US every day. If they deorbit it at the right time it will hit the US. So the notion that they "aren't even close to being able to hit the US" is just plain wrong. Now whether they can put a nuclear weapon close enough to a high value target to do any serious damage or whether the best they can do is blow up a few cornfields is another story. But they most assuredly can hit the US.

                                                                      • 2 votes

Besides, I doubt they even have the technology to deorbit the thing. You can launch a satellite and put it in orbit with zero capability to control it once it is in orbit.

But they most assuredly can hit the US.
