Afghanistan's Karzai on Prince Harry's bravado, Britain's involvement in war

Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai said comments made by Prince Harry about killing Taliban fighters were "a mistake." He also told ITV's Bill Neely security in the country worsened after British troops arrived.

Hamid Karzai clearly does not know what the situation in the embattled areas of his country are, primarily because he never goes there. Karzai's own military is totally incapable of even finding Taliban to engage, and seem to spend most of their time sitting around drinking tea, smoking hashish or attacking Americans. It is past time to get all allied troops out of Afghanistan and leave them to their fleas and the Taliban. Karzai is clueless.

While I agree (partly) with your sentiments about President Karzai, your comment on the Afghan National Army is grossly unfair. I assume that you can back that comment up with some time spent in Afghanistan and/or first hand observation of the ANA.

Karzai was made President from no where; he looted enough sitting in Presidential palace guarded by the US troops; Karzai's gang also took enough share of tax monies and drug monies; and now he and his top gangsters need a place to run!

Britain prides in giving asylums to such criminals and ungrateful backstabbers.

Already, Gen Mush is a British royal guest!

Gen Mush, pal of Bush, Jr was sheltering Osama while US was searching for Osama all over and was providing all out support to Islamists attacking NATO forces.

Britain is one of the places for Karzai and his top gangsters to hide!

You get a thumbs up back. And I just love the written commentary. Best on any site so far, at least the ones I checked. Gotta love NBCNews for this one, even if probably not for a long time.

Poor Karzai. He really doesn't know who he is, does he? Is he Afghani, Iranian, or Taliban? I guess it depends on who is paying the most that week. He forgets that his country has been in turmoil for more than forty years and that it has little to do with the USA or British intervention. To say he is ineffectual is to be kind. To say he is a parasite is more accurate.

        Partly true.

Iraq and Afghanistan are the toughest battle zones in the world. Not many could hold those places for long.

But Bush, Jr and his great advisors went to wars in those places at the same time and that too with wrong allies like Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Before NATO forces entered Afghanistan in 2001, Gen Dostum and his Northern Alliance were battling Taliban. NA helped NATO forces.

Still US politicians and NATO forces installed Karzai, who was hiding somewhere else, as President.

Gen Dostum was declared a criminal and human rights' violator. He took shelter in Turkey!

Of course, Pakis were the "strategic allies" and naturally advisors in Afghanistan.

Now John Kerry is going to mess up a good amount in whatever he touches!

Just watch how the events will unfold in Afghanistan.

In the 18th century Britain invaded Afghanistan twice. The first time was in winter and the campaign was a total dis

total disaster for the British. Afghanistan was seen as the first line against the Russian Bear. On the other hand Russia wanted badly to get into Afghanistan. The prize was not so much Afghanistan but it put Russia on the front

door. No colony was more closely tended than India. The second Afghan war was a success for the British. Following the failure of the first try by the Brits. The Afghanistan victors celebrated by blowing the British soldiers from the mussels of their canon. It was simple but effective. Tie the captives hands to the wheels of the guns. The gun loaded with powder only. Imagine the pressure and effect upon a human body. Of the entire first column only one British soldier survived and made it back to tell the tale. Finally Russia invaded and spent a lot of years bogged down, similar to the US and a place called Vietnam.

Before that Alexander the Great had his defeat in that region!

Karzai is an irrelevant pawn who was deceived and deceived himself thinking otherwise.

In Afghanistan, Pakis have backstabbed the US and NATO forces big time. Half of NATO forces deaths are due to ungrateful and backstabbing Pakis.

When the NATO forces were entering Kandahar in 2001, Pakis airlifted key al-Qaida, Taliban, ISI and others militants by back door from Kandahar.

This includes Mullah Omar, Osama and many including Paki Haqqani militant network leaders.

Hope people remember about Pakis sheltering Osama.

These Paki Islamic religious Nazis don't bother about their people and they are into reckless killing games in the name of jihad.

To reduce NATO forces losses, carpet bomb Paki militant areas just like 1991 Iraqi war.

If US, Britain and allies are not willing for carpet bombing of Paki militant areas, better to pull out all NATO forces before 2014 itself.

Also say bye, bye once for all to Pakistan and Afghanistan once for all instead of more nonsense with "strategic allies" and other big words.

Most probably, John Kerry, an expert loser, is going to babble and wobble with big words, short urgent visits, big economic and arms assistance packages and so on!

Thank God, my country is peaceful!
We have internal problems: violence, drugs, extreme poverty, unemployment ...
We participated in the UN peacekeeping forces.
I understand that terrorism is Taliban, either the IRA or any other, hurts deeply the democratic principles, ethical and moral, because they want to impose their will by force of shedding the blood of innocents.
I think that the U.S., Britain and other countries already have enough internal problems and should not be worrying so much about the problems of other countries. But all know that interest is not for humanitarian reasons but for economic reasons. It's wild capitalism in action, wanting to maintain commercial monopolies and to promoting the industry of war (weapons, ammunition, hospital items, medicines, funeral articles ...)
I´m so sorry for all us. And may God have mercy of their children.

                    Translate for my linguage:

Graças a Deus, o meu país é pacífico!
Temos problemas internos: a violência, as drogas, a pobreza extrema, o desemprego ...
