Video allegedly shows Syrian soldiers dancing to Usher song

A video has emerged online which appears to show Syrian soldiers dancing to Usher's hit song "Yeah!"

A video posted on YouTube allegedly shows Syrian soldiers dancing to R&B singer Usher's 2004 hit song "Yeah!"

Though unverified, the video is being highlighted by both pro and anti-regime activists on social media, The Associated Press reported.

In the clip, heavily armed soldiers dressed in camouflage and flak jackets can be seen bobbing their heads to the music at first, then standing up and moving their feet and hips to the beat, their weapons pointed in the air.

Grinning, the men then get in a line and walk past the camera, still moving their gun-wielding arms and bobbing their heads.

The dancing stops toward the end of the nearly 2-minute-long video, as a loud bang is heard and the soldiers break out into a battle cry that translates to, "With our souls, our blood, we sacrifice for you Bashar!"  -- referring to embattled Syrian President Bashar Assad -- according to the AP.

Some of the soldiers then begin spraying bursts of gunfire in the air.

The AP reported that the video was purportedly filmed in southern Syria. The uniforms appear to be consistent with those worn by Syrian soldiers, the news agency said.

Great soldiers, wasting ammo shooting "air". Looks like half of them were wearing sneakers too. I bought myself steel toe boots. And I wasn't even ever in combat. The professionalism of our military compared to places like Syria, just shows without even technology involved, how we are a Super Power.

Reminds me of the Israeli Tik Tock video while they patrolled the West Bank.

Enjoy it cause if the rebels win rap music will probably be outlawed under sharia law just like how the Islamist tried to out law music in Mali.

Come on who really believes that the rebels are going to to a better job at running the country. Egypt and Tunisia can't even sort out their crap and their ousting was peaceful compared to Syria.

These soldiers have every right to fight for their cause as much as the rebels do. Maybe the rebels should of called for international support before picking up guns. Tried harder at the peaceful approach before opening up their borders for terrorist faction to run rampant. Selected a representative in the beginning to approach the UN and the US to be recognized as an opposing party but no. They start rioting and killing the staff of the current government and then cry help when they turn against them. It's not our fault these idiots can't think pass their on noses.

the rebels are not the taliban that restrict freedom and rights especially to women (its illegal for females to get a education) the rebels are freedom fighters seeking to end "Assad the Butcher" corrupt rule and oppression. It is about time, that syrians elect the leader of "their" choosing instead of Assad electing himself while ruling with a iron fist using stalin's logic "torture and/or kill all those that opposed him, no matter how young"

P.S. actually the cause of this conflict is that Assad the Butcher started slaughtering protesters and sending many of them (including children) to one of many torture chambers he set up all across the country. Assad is a mass murderer bent on genocide killing tens of thousands of syrians thinking only of himself.

Their actions rank right up there in seriousness with pissing on a dead Taliban. It also shows the Syrian 'army' is not concerned with protecting Syria. Rather, they are just out to enjoy killing as many people as they can before they are captured and beheaded by the rebels.
