Pakistanis check the site of a bomb blast in Karachi, Pakistan, on Sunday, March 3.
An explosion rocked a Shiite section of Pakistan's largest city Sunday, killing at least 45 people and wounding dozens, according to officials and local television reports.
Two-bomb laden vehicles exploded in a residential area of Karachi and local officials searched for victims trapped in the rubble.

Officials earlier said at least 25 were dead, but a Pakistani doctor said Monday that the toll had risen to 45 as wounded victims died overnight, according to reports in Pakistan's The Nation and Dawn.
The Associated Press said the blast occurred outside a Shiite Mosque as people were leaving evening prayers.
Azhar Iqbal, a local police official, told the AP that a bomb appeared to have been rigged to a motorcycle and that the damage indicated there could have been additional explosives at the scene. Iqbal said several nearby buildings caught on fire. Published reports have indicated women and children were among the dead.
Police in Karachi told Reuters a suicide bomber may have been responsible for the attack.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks, but Sunni militants linked to al-Qaida and the Taliban have targeted Shiites in the past.

And why would they write "Kill me. I'm Shia" on a child's forehead? Are they hoping for one less mouth to feed?
most pakistanis living in large cities speak english in pakistan because pakistan was once a british colony.
Regardless what people write on their face; the key thing to understand here is Shia muslims in Pakistan have been subjected to violence every since pakistan was born. Taliban and Al Qaida is primarily Sunni - not Shia.

Shiites are on the run. They control 4 countries but are about to loose Syria.
They have Majorities in Yemen and Saudi Arabia but are being held down.
In Pakistan and Syria they are being cleansed.
Iran and Iraq should merge and become Persia once again and welcome back all the Shiites.

We are helping Sunnis take Syria.
We fund Pakistan even though Shia are being cleansed from the country.

That's right. You can't see the words "Kill me" in the picture that accompanies this article because they are written on her forehead, and her forehead is blocked in that picture. But if you look at the pictures in the slide show, there is one of her showing her forehead, and the words "Kill me" are written on it. All you can see in this picture with the article are the words on her cheeks that say "I'm Shia", but the whole thing actually reads "Kill me. I'm Shia".

You see: Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were invented by the British and sustained by the US, British and allies as they are "strategic allies."
When Saddam was about to take over Saudi Arabia, then US stationed its forces there to gaurd House of Saud consisting of the Wahhabi ruler (Godfather of al Qaida and other Sunni Islamists) with his 5000 princes and princesses, pure Sunni Islamic clerics/scholars, holy places.
When another strategic ally, Pakistan was in trouble, US, British and allies acted as if it was an attack on them and saved Pakis.
One can't predict how the US, British, French, German and others will act when it comes to Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and the nations "strategic allies" point to!

pakistan is a highly overpopulated country (180,000,000) in which men outnumber women and religion dominates their lives.Women are treated as property and have very little power.A pakistani man may have 4 wives and 20 children, and its common to give or sell their young girls to the local religeous leader,who also has a number of wives and many children, for favors or to pay off debt.This makes it difficult for many young, single,poor, pakistani men to procure a wife, resulting in gangs of frustratedmen with nothing to do.Throw in 2 or more opposing religeous views and that is a recipe for violence.

Yes. And don't forget about WWI and WWII. I'm sure there were more people killed in those two wars than in all the religious wars of history combined, and where was the religious connection in those two wars? Atheists just love to bash religion as being violent, but the truth is that people are just violent. They will always find one excuse or another for killing each other. Religion is just another one of many possible excuses.

Maybe this could be a good time for Israel to step up and help these people out. They did not ask for violence. My prayers go to the families of the dead. May GOD of our fathers be with them. (I am saying this because I can and because it is the right thing to do as a Christian.)
